Well, I found that out, Tzal hummed idly, flipping his book open just as the bell rang.

Class is starting... Razz informed Iri, straightening up. Today's all about British literature, if you're interested...if not, you can go explore somewhere else, if you'd like, I guess. But be back here in about forty-five minutes if you want to see my next class.

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 01:03 PM

Iri sighed as she fell back into Razz's chair, she would have been sitting on his lap if she had been in a more solid form. "Believe me, I would love to," she said, her voice sounding as though she were fighting back a yawn. "I lived through all of this being written, it would not be very helpful to revisit it, but alas I cannot leave so you are stuck with me." She then looked towards the red-eyed male and said, "Most of the spirits in your little town are like that though, it is quite rare to find the genuine ones. They do exist though, you just have to know where they are or know someone who does."

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 01:06 PM

Tzal didn't seem to be paying attention to the lesson, in contrast to Razz. Tzal was rather sharp and was a big fan of reading, so he'd read most of these stories and poems already. I tried to find a place for my project with genuine spirits, but they seem more spread out than anything else...it was disappointing.

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 01:09 PM

"Mmm, they are indeed very spread out. Only the strong willed have been able to stay. I know there is are a pair in the old bank, I believe they said it was on 32nd? At any rate it used to be Old Simon Ave," Iri said as she propped her legs onto Razz's desk and ultimately casting a ghostly haze over his book. "Do you happen to know that story by any chance or do you need some insight?"

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 01:11 PM

I do not know it. I would love to hear it. I don't pay much attention in this class, anyway...

Razz frowned when his vision was slightly obstructed, but he paid attention to the teacher's discussion, anyway.

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 01:20 PM

"Well at least someone is willing to listen to what I have to say," Iri said as she inadvertently glared though Razz's mind, she didn't cut his link though. She knew that her continued talking would irritate him and seeing as he wasn't fazed by her she had to get to him some other way. "Now oddly enough the bank is actually haunted by Old Man Simon and his wife. You see, the duo hadn't started out as clean and pressed as they lived their lives out. Back when the town was considering a bank they were like the Bonnie and Clyde's of their time, a Robin Hood duo even. But you see they were stealing from the wrong banks, taking from the wrong people. They were stepping into territory that was not their own stomping ground, I believe is the term you humans use. Anyway, they were stealing money to help get this place on its feet and get the bank running. That bank was the only reason this place was able to survive.

So, after oh, I believe they said it was about a year, the couple had come up with the money for the bank. It was built in their honor and it was his. Many said they spent more time in and taking care of that bank, which they admit to being true. But as your kind says, what comes around goes around. Not three years after the bank had been opened Old Man Simon and his wife were found hanging in the main vault. Police claimed suicide since the town as beginning to faulter slightly. Not the truth though." Iri the threw a finger up as to empahsize her point.

"Those same people that they had been robbing from, in their territory came to pay the couple a visit and badabing, badaboom, ya got two dead bank owners and a town that was crippled for a few years because of the theft."

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 01:41 PM

Tzal nodded to himself. Interesting...we always like to think suicide was not an option, in cases such as that...but, of course, it usually is to blame. We can be so blind..."

Razz continued with his work, absently. I need to bring my grades up or my parents will murder me, he offered, finally. I'm tired of hearing them yell at me. So I need to work.

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 01:48 PM

Iri sat forward enough to be able to turn around and shoot Razz a dirty look. "Does he usually complain this much?" She then asked his friend as her gaze returned once again to him. "You are a foolish one Rasputin, it is clear that you do not understand what you have found quite yet, but if it is my silence that you seek then say the word and you shall get it."

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 08:37 PM

I don't want your silence...I just need to learn this material so I can bring my grade up. And I don't have a library across the street from my house like Tzal does, so I don't have easy access to these works... Razz seemed bored by the material he was learning, at the moment, but he diligently took notes.

If the grades he earns in his classes regress any more than they have...he will be punished by his parents, Tzalmon explained, gently. His parents are...not nice people. I've seen his father hit him before...

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 08:46 PM

"They what?!" Iri yelled, her powers letting loose just a little too much as snake of all shapes, sizes, and breeds fell from the ceiling. It seemed she favored snakes, but in her history she had learned that many humans were afraid of them so they were really just the most optimum thing to use against the creatures. They were completely visible to everyone but she didn't feel like fixing it at that point. Her eyes narrowed as red began entering more and more into her usually brown eyes. "I can get you those works, the originals if that's what it takes."

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 08:50 PM

Tzalmon flinched as the class jumped out of their seats, a few of them screaming. Some people jumped up on his desk. The teacher, startled, began to turn around. Please get rid of the snakes. If the teacher sees them, then he won't be able to continue class. And Razz's grade may drop.

Razz recoiled, as well. I'll be okay. I need to visit the library, anyway, to pick up some of these books. Have you ever been in a public human library? He was trying to change the subject, to cool her down.

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 09:29 PM

"Been to a what now?" Iri asked, her demeanor cooling off instantly and the snakes were gone. "A public library," she hummed as she placed a finger carefully to her lips. "No, I do not think I have ever been to one, not a modern one anyways." Her eyes then fell upon Razz, they were back to their usual brown hues. Her ghostly figure then moved to sit on his desk once again and as her eyes fell upon the scared students and she smiled.

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 09:54 PM

Tzal looked amused when he saw the teacher hadn't seen anything and quickly got busy scolding the students for being unnecessarily loud during class.

Okay! We can head there after school, Razz decided. I'll be going on Tzal's bus, then...

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 10:16 PM

"Is this public library even all that interesting?" Iri asked as she looked back to Razz after watching the kids getting yelled at. "And what is so different about Tzal's bus?" In all honestly she just didn't really want to be in the school anymore, it was dragging on and on, there was nothing to do and she hadn't learned a thing about this species that she hadn't already known.

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 10:21 PM

It's full of books of all shapes and sizes, maybe some you haven't even seen before. There was a wistful look in Tzal's eyes. I love to read...

Hmm... Razz squinted for a moment. If you want something interesting, we could plan to go to Amie Park. Amie was a large amusement park in the area, just outside of town. Tzal's parents were talking about taking him and his little brother there soon, anyway...

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 10:25 PM

Iri rolled her head and looked at Tzal, she just stared at him for a moment before saying, "I had seen the creations and original works of any book that is worth reading. I highly doubt that nowadays there are writers as gifted as there were long ago." She then paused, rethinking what she had said. "Well, the next big writer will soon show their face," she then added nodding her head before her eyes then snapped to Razz. "What is this 'Amie Park' that you speak of?"

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 10:29 PM

There are some good new books out. Older isn't always better, Tzal chided gently, still not paying much attention to the teacher.

Razz was paying close attention to the teacher. It's an amusement park. You know, with rides and everything. It even has water rides...

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 10:33 PM

"An amusment park? Rides? You sir are making no sense whatsoever. There are no 'rides' one using beasts to ri-duh, period," Iri said, her tone clearly disapproving. She refused to believe that through her travels she had missed something such as that. Looking back to Tzal she then said, "The writer soon to come will put all present day ones to shame, that I can assure you. Though I hate to admit it, he would put some of the Classical writers to shame as well."

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 10:38 PM

Tzal hummed for a moment, and then shrugged. I'll be the judge of that.

No, no, it's...different than that. I guess you'll just have to see what I mean when we go...Tzal's parents won't mind taking me, Razz murmured, blinking when the bell suddenly rang.

((Do you want to skip through the school day to the end of the day?))

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 10:42 PM

((If you want to that's fine, Iri's just a complainer ^^;; ))

Iri just shook her head at Tzal's comment, she was debating on whether or not she should say anything more about the subject. "Well we'll have to check out this 'Amie Park' then I suppose," she then said as if coming to a final conclusion.

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 10:47 PM

((Okay!))

The rest of the day was...strange, to say the least. He was glad Iri didn't summon any more snakes. There were enough rumors running around the school already.

He managed to sneak himself onto Tzal's bus quite easily. He still wanted to head to the library.

As soon as the final bell had rung, Tzal's hood had gone back up. He hated having it down. He sat next to Razz silently.

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 10:55 PM

Iri was dieing to be in her physical form at this point, but she couldn't. It wasn't so much because there were humans around and it would alert them, but she just could not do it. She knew why too, but she knew that the reasoning wouldn't matter much. The veins vanished from the ring once again as the demoness came to her ghostly appearance, had she been real she would have been sitting half way on each boy. This time she let her appearance be seen by both of them rather than just Razz. "You two are quite boring now," she said as she crossed her arms under her chest.

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 10:58 PM

Well, excuse me...school is supposed to be boring most of the time, Razz reasoned, cracking a grin as he stared out of the window.

He speaks the truth, Tzal confirmed. ...We don't really need to go to the library, though. Is there anywhere you would like to go, Miss...? He hadn't gotten her name yet, of course.

ISOS Duke 05-19-2010 11:01 PM

Iri eyeballed Tzal for a moment, she knew his name so she currently had power over him because of it, but he didn't have hers. She had been enjoying everything being in her favor but the boy did not seem to be a threat to her. "Iritana, Iritana Hinapouri," she stated rather formally as she sat up slightly. "But you may call me Iri." Her gaze then went out the window as well, the gears in her mind slowly turning. "Wait, what kind of books does this library have?" She asked, not really concerned about where else she would have wanted to go.

Mira-Charma13 05-19-2010 11:04 PM

The library has a good mix of older and more modern books. Everything from Romantic poetry to modern fantasy... Tzal offered, dreamily thinking about the library. He adored books.

Razz didn't seem so interested in books, but he did like fantasy and some Romantic poetry.
