Bio: Andris was just an ordinary young man living 20th century America. He lost all his money in a bet with a stranger and never returned home for fear of what his father might do when he found out. Andris didn't do well though in surviving the streets on his own and not even two weeks had gone by when he found himself weak and starving in an alley. An older vampire, Claudio, found him and offered him new life. Andris accepted without hesitation. After that first night he found himself in an entirely new world. He wondered in awe at every new sight and sound and smell, and he busies himself exploring every nook and cranny of the city.

Name: Ariana Bail
Age: 18
Race: Human
Bio: Ariana is just a misunderstood girl. Her father was incredibly rich, so therefor she was labeled as a spoiled brat and nobody ever wanted to be around her. She has very little human contact because of her incorrect label, so she mainly stays inside or roams around town by herself.

The night was warm and still, barely a breezed through the streets. Andris' favorite type of night. No one would notice the strange aura around him, the color of his skin in the bright lights of street vendors. They were all busy with their own lives. Enjoying the warmth of the night just as much as he did. He strolled along behind a group of young men with a bright smile on his face. The scent of all these people, their blood pounding in his sensitive ears, was euphoric.

Ariana walked out of the resturaunt with all of her friends, laughing and having a good time as usual. She waved to all of them, said her goodbyes, then went on her way. She walked behind a man who was walking alone with a big smile on his face. He gave her strange feelings, scared her in some sort, but she had no choice but to keep walking in his trail and make her way home.

Andris soon noticed the human following his path and stopped to turn around. The human turned out to be a pretty young blonde girl that would be his age, if he had still been human. He smiled down at her. "Yes?" he asked.

Ariana had been texting her friends and she paused and looked up at him. "I...uh...didn't say anything." she said quietly. She saw how he shined in the moonlight. But she particularly noticed his teeth. They were perfectly aligned, perfectly shaped, except his canines which seemed to be disfigured.

"You've been following me for quite some time," Andris pointed out. "Do you need anything?"

Ariana shook her head quickly and started shaking. "Um...no," she said quietly. She wanted to start running, but she reminded herself that would be rude.

"Very well. Enjoy the night," Andris replied with a slight bow. He then turned away from her and continued walking along his path. He kept his senses on alert though to focus on the girl. It would be interesting to see how far she would follow him.

Ariana was shocked that he thought that she was following him. She followed him a long distance, farther than she thought she would and walked into her house.

Andris waited a few moments after she had disappeared inside the house just to listen. He had modified his usual path to spy on her. She would make a great meal, either now or later if she kept up the habit of walking home alone. For now he would only listen to form a guess as to how many other people lived in the house.

Ariana went over to her couch and set her bag on the couch. She smiled at her mom and dad who were making dinner and she gently waved at them. "Hey. What's for dinner?" she asked. "Chicken soup." her father replied. Ariana nodded and sat at the table with her brother and hugged him. "How was your day Mr. Cranky Pants?" she asked. Her brother shrugged her off and wrinkled his nose. "Ick, get off me you creep." he said.

Andris laughed softly as he stood outside, keeping to the shadows outside the lights of the street lamps. Seems like such a loving family. Be a shame to prey on this girl. She might make an interesting insight into modern human life.

He inched closer to one of the windows to peer in through a minute crack in the curtains. He could smell the scent of cooked meat. Dinner was being served. And there was the girl, sitting at a table with another human child.

Ariana hit him upside the head and sighed. "Shut up..." she said quietly. She watched as her mother poured the soup into the bowls carefully. They said grace, then they started eating. She poked at her food for a while then took a few bites. She put the spoon into her mouth and started chewing on the soggy noodles, but soon the food sputtered out of her mouth as she saw someone in the window. "D-Daddy..." she said as she slowly stood up.

Andris shrank back quickly away from the window, back toward the shadows. He hadn't expected to be caught so quickly. Time to hunker down and wait for something to happen. He snuck behind a row of manicured bushes and peeked through the leaves at the front door of the house.

Ariana sighed as she watched the figure dissapear. She sat back down and continued eating and laughing happily with her family. She looked over at her brother. "I'm going for a swim, wanna go with?" she asked. Her brother wrinkled his nose. "No..." he said. She shrugged and put on her suit, jumping into the pool

After a long while Andris heard a splash from the back of the house. He crawled out from behind the bushes and listened closely. Someone was out swimming at night? Curious. He got to his feet and brushed his pants off before heading off along the edge of the house.

Just as he thought. There was a pool in the backyard, and the girl from earlier was out swimming. No one else was around. He stepped over to the edge of the pool and looked at her as she swam.

Ariana came back up to the surface and wrung her hair out quickly. She brushed her fingers through her hair as she put it back on her back. She sat on the edge of the pool and closed her eyes gently.

"Not very observant, are you?" Andris commented with a smile.

Ariana's eyes shot open and she quickly jumped as she looked at him. "...no..." she said quietly as she backed up a bit.

"No reason to be scared. I have no wish to hurt you. I only came to watch."

Ariana sat back down and looked up at him. "Why?" she asked. She sighed and hugged herself.

"Because I think you're interesting. Do you often come out here alone?" Andris asked with a smile.

Ariana shook her head slowly and shrugged. "No, but my brother is being an ass and he won't come out here with me tonight." she said quietly.

"Well, I hope you don't mind my company then," Andris replied, walking over to sit down beside her. He slipped off his shoes and rolled up the cuffs of his pants. He stuck his feet in the water with a loud sigh of relief, leaning back on his hands.
