"I guess not everyone can, but if you practise a bit you could." She said, taking another bite from her baguette. It was delicious! Hand made and fresh, what would be better? "Nope, I'm an only child. Have loads of cousins though. How about you?" |
"Oh really? Me too. But I don't have very many cousins." Shay said and finished her baguette. "That was really good" she said and sat back. "Well that made me tired." she said suddenly really sleepy. She was so sleepy she found herself making her drink rise from her glass. SHe realised what she was doing and stopped. She looked around to see if anyone saw and thankfully no one had.

"You don't? I bet that must be nice, not having to run around after them when they come to visit." She said shortly after finishing her own baguette. Tired? Sitting there, she watched Shay for a moment and did notice the drink moving slightly in the glass, though said nothing about it for now. Seeing they were done, the elderly woman came and brought their desserts over. |
Shay smiled then started to eat her cake. "Well I do have a few cousins that get a little wiled when they are together. LIke one year we all meet at a hotel for a family reunion and I was going to get them but they ran into a room. they locked the door dead bolt and all. So I walked away thinking they would come out later but when later came and people were going to bed they couldn't get in because my cousins fell asleep. So we tried everything to wake them. Banging on the door, calling the room phone, we even got a tv remote and tried to turn it up to wake them. The lights were on and nothing was waking them up. It was crazy" she said laughing about it.

Picking pieces from her own cake and eating, she listened to Shay speaking about her cousins. "Sounds like their heavy sleepers." Lights, banging and a tv didn't wake them? "My cousins are all very different and alot older than I am." |
"Oh well I wish I was the youngest. I am the oldest." Shay said then finished her cake and smiled at Alexis. "so how many cousins do you have?" she asked and took a drink smiling at alexis.

"Nah, must be nice being the oldest, you don't get treated like a baby all the time." She said, soon finishing her own cake and looking across to Shay. "Eleven. And some of those have kids of their own."

"oh well that is a lot of cousins." Shay said shocked. "Well that must be fun." she said sarcastically. "But do you have any close to your age?" she asked. She had one cousin that was close to her age but the rest were younger then she was.

"Yeah, but its a large family." Any close to her age? She had to think this over for a moment, but finally shook her head. "Not really. I think the closest is about five years older than I am. The eldest is twenty years older. You'll probably meet one of them if you come 'round, the house is always full of visitors."

"oh well I would like to meet one. They seem like fun." Shay said smiling. She had always wanted a full house but no. It was just her and her parents. "Well then you must feel like you aren't an only child" she said giggling.

Shaking her head, she finished off her drink before speaking again. "No, I still feel like an only child, but I always have company." She said, placing her empty glass back down on the table. "Some of them are fun." |
"Well then tell me about the ones that are fun" Shay said smiling. She sat back smiling at Alexis. "Wich one is you favorite?" she asked knowing out of eleven one would be her favorite.

Which was her favourite? that was a difficult question indeed. They were all fun in thei rown ways. "I suppose my favouriteis my eldest cousin. He's gay and spends most of his time playing games, so we get along really well. Some of the arguments he has are funny to listen to aswell. I don't think he's ever lost one."

Shay giggled and nodded. "I can see why he is your favorite." she siad smiling. "Should we start back to school? I have a class soon" she said looking at her watch. she didn't want to leave Alexis. She was so nice and fun to talk to.

Alexis glanced to her own watch and nodded. "Sure, don't want you to be late." She said, standing and slipping her bag back over her shoulder. "I'm gonna head into the library anyway, I think, get some homework done before I get home." |
"Ok"Shay said happily and stood too. "So how many classes do you have?" she asked wishing she could go home after practice but she couldn't. She had another class. "Oh what about the bill?" she asked getting her wallet out and looking at Alexis curiously.

"I don't have anymore today. I have four classes and a lesson all day friday in the computer labs." Alexis replied, having to give it a moment of though as she'd never really thought of it. "Don't worry about it, I have a tab thats paid at the end of each week."

"Oh ok. So do you want me to come over after play practice?" Shay asked exited to go over to her house. She realised she had a different feeling when ever she was around Alexis. Like she was so much more happy.

"Sure, that would be fun." That would give her time to get home and clean her room up before she arrived. Couldn't have a guest sitting in her room in such a mess, could she? Slowly walking from the cafe, she looked to Shay, giving her another smile. "What do you do in play practice?"

"Oh we just go over the scenes and such like that." Shay said smiling at her. "We go over the scenes a lot. I think about 20 time a night." she siad giggling. They didn't really go over them that many times but if felt like it. She smiled at Alexis and wished she would have meet her earlier.

"Oh, doesn't that get a bit boring after a bit?" She asked, shoving her hands into her pocket and starting the slow walk back to t he college. Repetition was something she couldn't handle, it just started to annoy her afte a while. The walk back to the building didn't take as long as she'd liked, buit she'd see Shay again later, so she didn't dwell on it too long.

"No because each time get better and better. And the whole cast is fun so we have fun messing the scenes up some times."Shay sai smiling at all the funny memories of the times they messed up on a scene.

"That doesn't sound boring." Lexi said, shoving her hands into the pockets of her jeans. She then looked upto the school building and sighed. "I guess I'll see you later then. Have fun." She said with a grin. |
"Aw ok. I will see you later" Shay said and hugged her before she ran off to her next class. She couldn't wait to go see Alexis again. She had had so much fun with her.

Alexis smiled as she watched Shay run off to her next lesson. Once she was out of sight, she let out a bored sigh and headed into the library to catch up on her homework. Once done, she took a slow walk home. |
