Shay was sad all threw class but cheered up at practice. Once done she ran to her car and then drove home quickly. She changed into jeans and a tee then drove to Alexis' house. She went up to the door and rang the bell. She couldn't wait to spend more time with her. She made Shay feel light warm and fuzzy in side.

Alexis was home in no time and made quick work of cleaning her room and shooing all of the family pets from their nesting places in her room. The room didn't look perfect, but it was a vast improvement. Throwing on her favourite vest top and shorts, she plopped herself down on her bed and switched on the television. Her room was large, walls filled with shelves and posters of her favourite characters - most of which were females. Hearing the bell ringing and then one of the dogs barking at it, she beamed and quickly went to answer it. Seeing Shay, she beamed and moved to the side. "Come on in."

Shay smiled and walked in. "Wow nice house" she said looking around. "Where is the dog?" she asked since she had heard a dog barking.

"Heh, thanks." She said, closing the door behind her and then pointing towards one of the doors to the left. "In the lounge. Its my grans dog, he barks at everything."

Shay giggled. "Aw. That is so cute" she said smiling. "So do you have other pets?" she asked smiling around. She was really starting to like Alexis. She was a really cool and fun.

"Yeah, we have loads of pets. I have a couple of reptiles, there's a few cats hogging the warm spots of the house and outside we have a couple of chickens and a pot belly pig." Alexis said, leading Shay towards the stairs. "Would you like to meet some of them?"

Shay nodded. "I would love to. I love pets. I really like cats." she said smiling. She was starting to really like Alexis. She was just about the coolest person she knew.

Cats? They shouldn't be too difficult to find. "Alright then, lets see if we can find the twins." She started up the stairs and then down the hall. Quietly she crept into the spare room and found two almost identical ginger tabby cats sprawled out across the window ledge. "Aha!" |
Shay smiled widely seeing the cats. "aw they are so cute" she cooed then walked over to them cautiously. She let them sniffe her hand then she started petting them. "They are so soft too" she said smiling widely. "What are there names?" she asked looking up at Alexis.

"The one on the left is Anastasia and the other is Louis." Alexis said moving over to stroke the cats too. Both seemed to be enjoying it, but which cat didn't enjoy bit of attention?

Shay giggled then looked up at ALexis. "let's go play those games. I didn't come to play with your cats. I came to play with you" she said happily. She felt bad that she was acting like she would rather play with the cats and not her.

"Alright." At the thought of playing video games, her face lit up and she was already starting from the room and vanishing into her own. She stood in front of the largest of her shelves and glanced over the game titles. "You want to come pick a game?"

Shay giggled and looked at all of them. "I don't know if I could." she said awestruck. "Why don't you pick one you think I could play. I am really bad a video games." she said looking at game after game after game.

"Well there all really different and yet all similar in some ways." She said, running her fingers over some of the game titles. "Most of these you can customise your character. Would you like to fight or just wonder around completing quests?"

"Um how about quests." Shay said not that big into fighting. She smiled at Alexis. "I am not that big with fighting." she siad smiling sheepishly. She liked any thing else.

"Okay." Scanning over a couple more games, she finally pulled out one she thought Shay might like. "This one's fun. Your a witches apprentice and you have to travel the world collecting ingredients for potions and spells." She said, popping the CD into her games console and then went and plopped herself down on the bed, patting the empty spot beside her to Shay./

Shay smiled and sat next to her. "That sounds fun" she said smiling at her. "So what botten does what?" she asked looking at the controller in her hands. This was really her first time playing a game.

"Oh. Um.. well 'X' is the 'okay' button. 'O' cancels. Triangle brings up the main menu so you can change options or see whats on your list to collect. Square is what you press to talk to someone. Start pauses the game." It was all second nature to her, but she figured Shay would need a bit of guidance. So she quickly set the game up and handed the other the remote. "Give it a try. You have to customise your character first though. You can make different clothes later on in the game too."

Shay listened carefully and nodded. "Ok" she said happily then started playing. She took a while to customise her character but once she was done she started on the quest.

Alexis left Shay to play the game herself, figuring it was the best way for her to learn. Quietly she lay down on the bed, chin resting in her hands as she watched the character on screen. "Your picking it up easily enough."

Shay smiled. "You want to play? I don't want to play and have you watching." she said looking at her sadly. She felt bad that she was watching while she was playing.

Alexis shook her head and looked upto Shay. "I'm fine, its just nice to have someone else who wants to play." she said with a smile. "Besides, if I start playing now then I won't stop until I've completed the game.. which would mean I'd end up ignoring you and I don't want that."

Shay nodded and went back to the game. "Do you have any games for two people?" she asked wanting to play one with her. She found it was really fun playing video games and that she wanted to play more with Alexis.

"Most of these games are multiplayer." As was the game Shay was playing. Getting off the bed, she plugged in a second remote to the controller and plopped herself back down on the bed. "I've not played this game with anyone else before though. I think it'll be a race to see who can get the ingredients first."

Shay smiled. "Ok you are on" she siad giggling. She knew Alexis would beat her since she had played this many times but she didn't care. It would be lots of fun.
