"Can do!I'll also clear teh way for my master!" Deneb said, skittering out of teh bedroom under the door in his gecko form, right in front of the crowd of servants trying to see the archmage. "Love me for I am an adorable reptile!" He said into all fo teh girls' minds, wagging his little reptilian tail happily.
Vega blushed and nodded. "O-okay..I'll..Try.." He said, getting up and very, very slowly walking out of teh bathroom and up to Curry. "Um.. Hi.. I.. IwouldjustliketosaythatyouarethemostattractivemanI haveeverseen." He said very, very fast, his cheeks going as deep of a red as they could possibly go. "Oh trust me, he'll wake up with a knife at his throat if he breaks my brother's heart." |
Curry rolled his eyes at Deneb and then paused, regarding Vega with puzzled eyes. He had barely understood him, he was talking so fast. "...Uh. Thanks..." He then blinked and grinned. "Uh, wait. Is that your way of asking me out?" He sounded amused, and rather pleased.
Mycroft snorted. "Don't do that. Aim the knife at something much more precious to him..." He was grinning. |
Vega covered his face with his hands. "Y-yes.." He said quietly, but more clearly than his previous, fast-paced statement.
"His manhood is more precious to him than his life?...Oh what has my brother gotten himself into." Altair sighed. "He'll be fine.Father would be taking over my body and saying something to the lines of 'kill Curry, stop him from ever touching Vega' by now if he were in trouble." The archmage laughed. (Archmage didn't disspaear off the face of teh earth!) |
Curry paused, then glanced in at Altair with a wary look on his face. He cleared his throat, and then glanced back at Vega. "Luckily for you, I'm single at the moment. So, what the hell. Let's go for it."
Mycroft punched the air, playfully. "Yes!" ((He has returned! D: )) |
Vega's eyes widened. "Oh thank you gods, I'll never miss a prayer ceremony again.." He said very fast yet again, before passing out and falling onto Curry.
Altair started to run to Vega's side but was held back by the Archmage. "Let me go!" "Let Curry deal with it..It'll test his level of compassion for Vega." The archmage whispered, smiling as Altair stopped struggling. "Now..I'm going to go straighten out my chambers. Would you mind aiding me, Mycroft?I do not wish to make a prince do physical work, but I do need at least a bit of help." |
Curry flailed for half a second before scooping Vega up. "...? What do I do with him?" he asked, directed at Altair. "He's out."
"Sure." Mycroft's response was nearly immediate. "I don't mind doing stuff to help you out. Really. I'm not much of a priss, unlike most royals in this area..." |
"Wait for him to wake up, let him rest somewhere..And if you leave his side before he wakes up I'll castrate you." ALtair said, looking extremely serious as he pulled out a knife from his belt, seeming to be inspecting how sharp it was.
"Thank you, Myca." The Archmage smiled, and walked out of the prince's bedroom, towards his own. "...When I said put it inside my room, I'll arrange it, I didn't mean all by the door.." He sighed, pushing stacks of clothing abd books off to the side just to get INTO the bedroom. |
Curry cleared his throat, then glanced around. "'Ey, Myca. Mind if I crash in here for a while?" He was eyeing the stack of books Mycroft had. Those would keep him distracted for a while.
"Sure, Curry." Mycroft skipped out, following the Archmage happily. |
Altair walked out but stayed near the door, raising an eyebrow as he saw a servant girl with an oddly Deneb-looking gecko between her breasts.
(Deneb is the comic relief!XD Such a laydeez man) Vega seemed to transition from being fainted to asleep somehow, as he was sat down on the prince's bed..He had never, ever felt a bed that good in his life. The archmage began putting away his robes in the dresser, his jewelery box on top of it, and putting his books into a large empty bookcase. "Myca, I have a question..Are ALL of the Archmage's things mine?Because he had some beautiful robes, magically enchanted necklaces and things like that that I would like to keep.." He said, as he arranged his books by subject and by language on the shelf, before beginning to do the same with the previous Archmage's shelf. "Wait..This book is harder to move, and it's identical to the one beside i--" He stopped speaking as the book tilted out and the bookcase slid over to reveal a hidden storage room. "I should have seen that coming..What..Is all this?" He looked around teh stone room, inspecting one of the bookcases inside. "These..Are Queen Bellatrix's diaries..Her clothing, her jewelery..Every entry into a history book about her, ripped out and formed into a book all of it's own..My respect for the prevous archmage has risen back to where it was before I learned you and him didn't see eye to eye, Prince..If this was his room, then he was keeping your mother's memory alive.." (EXCUSE ME, PLOT TWIST COMING THROUGH) |
Curry covered him up and then grabbed one of Mycroft's books. He sat down in one of the chairs near the bookcases and opened the book, paging through it lazily.
Mycroft was silent for a moment. For some reason, he wouldn't step into the hidden room. "Yeah, everything's yours..." His voice was also strangely quiet. "I still don't care for him all that much..." |
"Curry...Harder.." Vega mumbled softly in his sleep, blushing deeply as he squirmed around a bit.
"I'll keep this room's secret to the grave if I must, as my predecessor did..No one will know." The Archmage said, stepping out of the room and shutting it back up again. He arranged the shelves so it was completely innocent looking, even placing the real copy of the bookt hat was beside the switch in a different place so ti was harder to see that there were two of the same book. "Although depending on the circumstances of tonight, I might not have to keep her memories kept up like this for long." He said softly, gently stroking the pendant around his neck, seeming to be completely calm as tears dripped down from his face. (His dad is crying through his body, fi you can't tell. 8D; ) |
Curry snickered, suddenly unable to fully focus on his book. "If you want it harder, you should beg for it..." he muttered, absently, with a big grin on his face, as he continued to read.
Mycroft watched him, glad that the room was covered again. "You're crying," he noted, his voice solemn. It seemed that something about that room had bothered him, quite deeply. |
"Please..Aahh.." Vega murmured, squirming so much now that the band that was holding his braid together had came out, sprawling his long whitegold hair onto the bed.
"I am not, my father is. with this pendant on some of his emotions affect me, extremes like deep sadness that would drive even an iron willed man like him to tears. That just shows you how much he cared for her.It feels as if she was like a daughter to him..I'm sorry if you found that room disturbng in some way..Your lively face is suddenly as emotionless as a stone statue..I am deeply sorry, Prince Myca.." The archmage said, not bothering to make an effort to wipe the tears away. |
Curry laughed silently. "Heh..." He kept his book open, but watched Vega out of the corner of his eye. This was quite amusing.
"It's fine..." Mycroft's stony face was beginning to shift to something that looked curiously like anger. He seemed to be furious that the old Archmage had never told him about the room. He now had more reason to dislike the man. |
Before the boy settled back down into a peaceful sleep, Vega;s shirt ended up going up a bit, revealing his belly, and his pants slipped and hugged to his rather feminine hips, leaving him in an adorable position as he very lightly snored, seeming to be enjoying his current dream.
The Archmage continued to rearrange the shelves, asnd found yet another switch, pushing another bookcase aside to reveal a dark room behind it. "..He reeeally loved these secret rooms. Why is it so dark in he--Oh.." The archmage stopped speaking as his runes began glowing when he entered the room, and similar runes glew on the walls. the stone walls had bookcases carved into them, with many ancient books and scrolls packed into them, and a giant crystal in the center of the room, bound in black chains. "This was my father's doing..No human mage could have done these. It would have been impossible for him to have that kind of power.." The mage said, reading the runes on the walls. Between the two bookcases there was a decending staircase, leading to who knows where. "..This tunnel probably leads out under the castle, into the Mage's cemetery..My race traditionally cntains the resting soul of our loved ones in a crystal like this. that way they can still watch over the earth until the day of Ragnarok, the end of the world..But my father's tomb would be in the cemetery, alongside the other archmagi..Who did he intend this crystal for?Unless the previous archmage conjured this..When you're done, I'll need to search that other room again..I have a feeling my predecessor intended this as a resting place for a soul that was apparently dear to him.And the way he arranged hat room was like a grieving widower, creating a shrine for his love. Not as just a storage room, for things that the king told him to hide away..If his mind thought of her death the same way your father did..Well..I'll stop talking, I don't want to anger you further, prince..It's just..something to think about." (SORRY FOR TAKING THE PLOT BY THE REINS, BY OVERTAKING BOTH THE QUEEN AND THE LAST ARCHMAGE. 8D; yes, mr. previous archmage had a crush on the queen, when he was still young.D'aww. BUT THEN HE TURNED INTO A JERK) |
Curry, being himself, was tempted to touch him. But, he left him alone. Best not to do much without his permission...lest Altair rip him to shreds. Curry may have been a manwhore, but he was no idiot.
Mycroft seemed to be getting more and more uncomfortable as time went on. He said nothing. He just looked quite uncomfortable. |
Vega slowly woke up, cutely yawning and stretching as he sat up. "Ah..Did I pass out?How did I end up asleep.." He mumbled, blushing as he fels the breeze on his torso, and saw Curry simoutaneously. "H-hi.."
"I mean..The age matches up.He became apprentice archmage to my father at a very young age, then when my father ran away with me and my mother, he was left as the youngest archmage the nation's ever had..He probably hated you simply because he was jealous of Betelgeuse.." The archmage left the room and closed the bookcase door again. "...If my hunch is correct.." He looked at the small bookcase by the archmage's bed and pulled out the diary's, stacking them on the desk and beginning to thumb through the oldest ones. "These date back to the correct date..He wrote it all in my race's language so the king couldn't read them if he found them..Many of the first pages are from his early teens, they're not even entries, but him trying to think out love letters to Bellatrix..I..I am sorry to worsen the uncomfortableness of this thought, but my curiosity can't help but investigate..He..He was in love with a magically talented princess, named Bellatrix. The entries aroudn the time of her marriage are tearstained, I can barely make it out with how water stained the ink is..He masked himself with hatred for you and friendship for the king but he hated Betelgeuse with every inch of his body." A ghostly hand suddenly closed the diary as soon as the archmage's hand was taken off of the pages. "...So your soul has not found rest, as I suspected.I must have released you when I opened the first secret room." "Yes.." "..Travel through the tunnel to the mage's cemetery tonight.I will rest your soul." The dark skinned male said, standing and looking nto blank space as if he were looking right at a person. "I cannot, not without her." "..Her crystal pendant is in that room, isn't it..but you can't touch it.." The archmage said with a sad tone in his voice, not seeming surprised as drops of water hit the ground below the space he was looking at. "You are correct.." "I will save her as well.If I do, will you give me your knowledge and power, as is tradition?" The water stopped dripping and a pleasantly shocked gasp was heard. "Yes, yes, anything to save Bella's soul." (GHOOOST MAAAAGE) |
"Hi." Curry had a pleasantly amused look on his face. There was a bit of mischief hidden behind that expression. "Have a nice nap?"
Mycroft stepped out of the room as soon as he saw the ghost appear. He simply couldn't be in there any longer, or he would lose his temper, or break down...or both. He wandered off through the castle, and outside, to be alone. |
(Actually Myca isn't supposed to see him but I guess MAGIC can be a good excuse so I'LL ROLL WITH IT)
Vega blushed and sat up. "Y-yes..I'm sorry for passing out on you, I get overexcited easily..Although that was probably obvious long ago." "Ah, Mycroft--!" The now very young looking previous archmage said, shocked as the boy left, he tried to run out of teh room btu he hit some sort of barrier over the room's door, preventing him from leaving. "I..I know now my faults, her death was never his fault, he was a newborn, it's not like he could have known that his mother would die..It's not like he knew that sweet Bella would die.." The ghost knelt in front of the door and watched as Myca ran, sighing. "Please go talk to him..He still needs to meet your father. And his mother..It's..Sad the first time he would see his mother is like this..and that his hatred for me continues past my death. I was still young even in old age, of mind. I was naive to think he caused her death..Although I am still not in favor of his casual behaviour, I have no say in the matter..He will make a fine king, as long as the bitter part of my spirit wishes me not to say so." "I will.I..Did not know any of this would happen.I think he just needs to cool off for a bit, clear his mind.Do try to stay at least a bit more subtle tonight, Borealis." The dead archmage sighed. "I will.I should have waited for him not to be there, hidden myself until you were alone..But those memories are very close to me still, they're the most precious things I owned in life..I had to be sure your heart was pure..That you would not tell Betelgeuse of ym actions." "I'm still bringing him with me tonight, to see his wife and my father..Or rather so Father can see how he's grown.Maybe smack some sense into him, although Bellatrix may instead." The ghost let out an echoing, deep laugh. "Yes, she always was a..Tomboy, when no one was looking.I'd like if Melik would..If he still accepts me as his apprentice." (Am I fucking up('scuse the french) the plot too badly? D8 ) |
((Nope, I like plot twists. :3))
"Don't worry. It's kinda cute." Curry poked at the book he was reading, looking quite bored. He'd been cooped up inside for most of the past month or so, and when he did venture outside it was to work. He was so bored. So bored, even with all the bedroom action he'd been getting. Mycroft had stormed off outside, and he was sitting in a well-hidden grassy meadow between a group of tall trees. It was a spot he ran off to when he needed to be alone, and wanted to think. |
(WHEW I was scared that your ooc silence meant anger. 8D; ANGER FOR ME PLOT TWISTING EVERY FIVE MINUTE. THE PLOT LOOKS LIKE A SILLY STRAW NOW)
Vega's cheeks went deep red. Ah..Th-thanks?" He giggled a bit. "I wish I was allowed in the library..It's so boring when I don't have any work..Which is rare, since I'm kinda overworked, b-but I won't complain..Keeps a roof over my head..It's nice to feel useful for once.instead of a burden.." (We should probably timeskip now to night, as I have nothing to say until nighttime, unless you think a conversation with Betelgeuse would be interesting enough(as in hard to get him to come to the cemetery at night for whatever reason) to do.) |
((Hehe...the conversation with Betelgeuse will be more of a screaming match on his part than anything else. You might have to force him to go there.))
"You're weclome. Come with me the next time Myca uses the library. He sneaks me in on the excuse that I can help move books around for him," Curry offered, amused. |
(Well he wouldn't mention Bellatrix that's just signing his own death warrant there. 8D; I'll go make him do that.)
"A-alright..I think you know where I am usually. Kitshen, laundry room or in the quarters that I call home." Vega smiled nervously. "I'm not often anyplace else, unless I'm going between those places." "I should go and tell the king, that way I won't have to alert him of it last minute." The Archmage said to his deceased predecessor, who nodded. "Alright.Good luck with that..Don't mention Bella.." "That is digging my own grave on my first day. I won't.Goodbye Borealis.I hope tonight can find you peace." The archmage stood and walked towards the throne room, bowing deeply as soon as he arrived in front of the throne once again. "I am sorry to bother you again sire, but I'd like to make another request of you, your highness..My father was the archmage before Borealis, he served the throne when you were a young child, so you might not remember him..Sadal Melik was his name.His..Final wish, was that if I became archmage, that I was to bring the king to the mage's cemetery, along with your son, Prince Mycroft, and two of the servants that he raised as his own children, before they even became servants.Tonight is the perfect night for this ceremony, as it will be clear and the moon will be full, which is a very important state for a ceremony such as this, in my religion. He wishes to see the king and the future king, along with his three sons. That is what he said would bring his soul peace. He also wished to be laid to rest there..As..Due to the circumstances of his abrupt leave, he could not have a proper funeral here..And..I am rambling again, I apoligize." |
Curry grinned a bit. He often sneaked into the kitchen, where he was not supposed to be because he was a voracious eater and would often dig into the pantry and eat a quarter of what was in there. "I'll find you in the kitchen, I guess. You can find me just about anywhere...I'm hard to miss," he added, standing up to showcase his extreme height.
Betelgeuse, who had been scolding a meek-looking female servant, turned to face the Archmage with a scowl on his face. "I remember him, but not well," he grunted, apparently in a bad mood. "I will come, but I cannot stay long. I have an important meeting tonight with a royal from another kingdom." |
Vega looked a tiny bit frightened as he was reminded of Curry's height. "A-ah..Well..I'm harder to find, as I kind of sink into the crowd.." He blushed, sitting up fully now. "I-I should probably return to my duties, before I'm caught slacking off.."
"It won't take long. Although, Borealis's soul is still young, so he may appear as well, to meet his old mentor. Many of the previous magi wander that cemetery I'm sure..I am sad to hear that you and Father did not see eye to eye. When night falls and the moon is fully up, meet me in the archmagi's cemetery. Thank you, your highness. I am sure my father will find rest tonight, this brings great peace to my own heart." The mage smiled and bowed again, before walking out to find Myca, before the sun set. |
