"just the visions, they keep coming and it seems they have become defined. it used to be different people and places that you were attacking and I tried to save you but now it only seems to be two days and in both I die." Angelo stopped his weeding and sat down in the dirt. "its just that I dont want to lose you, and I dont want to go."

"Do you want to move?" Shadow had money to move, sure. He would just have to put his home up for sale in the village market and see if he could get a good price for it.

“There is not enough buyers out there for us to move.” Angelo said. he had seen the books that Shadow kept on the amount of money they used. He knew just as well as Shadow did that they really could not afford to move and get a place like this on the cheap.

Shadow nodded, silently. "I suppose we will have to be careful, then...stick together, no matter what, now..." he decided.

"yes I guess we will." Angelo scooted over and hugged Shadow. "I am going to go read that book you said you had if you dont mind. the bugs tonight are trying to eat me alive."

"Go on ahead," Shadow encouraged, finishing up with the garden. "Are you hungry? I can make us something to eat."

“yes please.” Angelo said as he headed back into the house. Hurrying up stairs he looked through the books of magic that Shadow had. Finding the beginners book he slowly walked down with it and sat in the atrium garden to read. It had been some time since he had slept in the atrium of the house they were living in but he still liked them.

Shadow started on a meal for them, using some of the new items he'd purchased from the market today. He kept an ear open to the noises outside, in case something were to start happening.

Walking in half way through meal preparations Angelo held up the books. “Would you explain this to me?” he was pointing to a simple ring that was designed to hold a spell for a short time. The ring itself had to be made as the spell was set in it and after a time the spell would fade away.

"Sure." As Shadow worked, he explained how the spell worked to Angelo. By the time he finished, he had finished cooking. He handed him a bowl of the meat stew he'd made.

“That is what I thought. Do you think some time you could get me the materials for this ring?” the stuff for the ring would be a bit spend and it was not any person should try unless they had worked up to it.

"I could. I will look around," Shadow promised, starting on his food, happily.

Happily Angelo dug into the food that Shadow had made for them. he was happy that their life had not been what he had dreamed when he first was sold. But now he would give almost anything that shadow asked of him. and if that ring did what he wanted it to do then he would have a gift for Shadow that he had never been given before. Freedom from the sun.
(Now time jump to right after he masters fire)

Shadow pulled back as a plume of flames flew across his head. "That could have killed me," Shadow grumbled, standing back up. "Better aim, please. The tree, not me, this time."

Shadow was teaching Angelo the last trick he needed to, for the most part, master fire.

Blushing Angelo tried again to hit the tree. “Sorry I was trying you just made a noise that distracted me.” Slowly he again started the spell then threw it out this time the tree too most of the hit. “I really would not try to hurt you, you know right?”

"I know, I know. You damned novices," Shadow teased. "That's good. That's enough for today--fire is yours to master, now. It seems you've got the hang of it."

as Shadow stopped talking he could hear the sound of feet scampering away from where they were. Angelo called up water to put out the tinny fires that had started up. "you cant call me a novice now, not according to the book. they say that once you master fire, water and earth your a journeymen." Angelo smiled, knowing how much it bugged Shadow when he said he was a journeymen.

Shadow did hear the sound. Once Angelo was done with the fires, he grabbed his hand and warped both of them back to his home. "Someone was there. Someone was watching," he said, shortly. "I heard feet. Go and lock everything up." Shadow locked the door, and then started on the windows.

Hurrying to do as he said Angelo caught a glimpse of the sky. He stopped and got a clear look. “It’s not today.” He said just staring out the window.

"Still. We should stay inside for the rest of the day, and lock up" Shadow assured him, locking up downstairs. "Get the second floor."

running up stairs Angelo did as he was told. he did not understand what the point was for them to be locking up if all the visions, and they now came every night, said that it would come on a sunny day at noon. "so what are we to do for the rest of the day?" Angelo had slowly been working him self up each night to touching Shadow more and now, suddenly he felt ready to go all the way again. it would not be as painful as last time so he could let it happen. just last night he had found the joys of using his mouth on Shadow.

"What do you want to do?" Shadow asked, curiously. "We are stuck inside for the rest of the day, so anything is good. I don't have any chores to do, and the garden is fine..."

Coming back down the stairs Angelo smiled. “I would like to go all the way with you. I know kind of sudden right after yesterday but, I am ready.” He stepped down the last few steps and kissed Shadow. “Will I need to guide you in this, because I am not sure if I fully can?”

Shadow returned the kiss, wrapping his arms around with him. "I would prefer it if you led. I will help, but I would like you to lead."

“I don’t think I am ready to do it to you, but is there a way you can do it to me but I lead you?” Angelo looked cute asking his eyes all alight waiting and hoping the answer was yes.
