~you know from the way she is going on I think she would not mind acting as a feeder to you. I can tell your thirsty again, don't say your not.~ Angelo had learned to tell when Shadow was needing to feed again because he had enjoyed it. now he realized that he never would feed Shadow again.

Shadow shook his head, adamantly. ~I'm fine. I will be fine. I can still bite you...take blood, by the way. But not more than twice a week. And, you can also bite me, now.~

~how can we still feed of each other?~ now this sounded good for angelo, if they could feed off each other then he could learn what it was like to be the one feeding off the one he loved.

~The blood of Silverblood vampires is very similar to human blood. The color and content is different, but it is drinkable and does provide some nutrition. It can be toxic if taken more than twice a week, however,~ Shadow explained.

Angelo smiled which caused her to think that what she had just said had made him happy. ~so I will get to feel what you did as you fed off me. This is something I never expected after this afternoon.~

~You will, once you are able to move again. I sure hope I am going in the right direction,~ Shadow added, frowning. He had no idea where to go, after all.

Slipping into Shadows mind Angelo smiled. ~I did not realize how late it was getting. It is almost midnight. No wonder she asked if you wanted to trade, I wonder how she….. ah there to the right. see that tree with the burned cross in it, turn right after that. It may not look like there is a road there but there is. It will lead to a camp site for us. Then you can more me into the wagon.~

~All right.~ Shadow did as asked and turned right after the tree. He looked for the camp site as he went along, his eyes sharp in the darkness, unlike human eyes.

At first it would have seemed like he was just driving down a deer track that would end any time then suddenly it opened onto a large clearing with a small house built in the middle. Around there were two other wagons which were painted up brighter then Shadows wagon. Out of the shadows stepped a man who smiled up at him. “I think you are lost friend.” He said in Latin.
~do not answer him in Latin answer him in my native tongue. He is the keeper of this place or his son. They don’t let none family camp here. Tell him you’re a Lifeshadow, it’s what they call vampires, and tell him you looking for the Black Rose.~

Shadow, of course, looked distinctly ruffled. He couldn't stand dealing with most strangers, and, even more so, he couldn't stand talking about his species. But he did as asked, grudgingly, speaking in Angelo's native tongue.

The man seemed very surprised and apology. Showing them to a spot where they could put their wagon he then offered to take the best to the pen. ~let him do it, he usually would ask for money but I think he is scared that he made you mad and that your one of the high ranking Black Roses. They have been known to punish the waystop keepers when they are insulted. Most of the time it means no money for them to live on. This is what some of the families do after they have grown tired of the road. It is two of the small silver coins for the night, he most likely will only ask for one because we are only here for half a night.~

"I am not angry..." Shadow assured him as he made sure the wagon was still. He then took the man up on his offer. He was a little scary-looking--due to his odd hair and eyes--but he acted quite gentle.

The man smiled slightly then took the animals. He hurried off into the darkness the animals fallowing him happily as they knew there was food where he was leading them. ~I think she fell asleep on me here. She is quite warm but I am getting a bit thirsty now.~

Shadow slid back into the wagon and gently shook her. "Hey. We are at a camp site, here. I'd advise against being near him at the moment...he is thirsty, and I am not allowing him to drink yet," he murmured.

~I am not thirsty for her you nit, I would like some water.~ Angelo sounded a bit amused. she stirred and then smiled. "I would like to sleep under the wagon if you don't mind."

~Pfft. I can never be too careful.~ Shadow patted her shoulder. "Go ahead. Could you fetch him some water, while you step out? I would like to see if he can keep it down."

~ok love, it you really don’t trust me to not nibble on the only other driver.~ Angelo sighed as she climbed out of the cart and slipped under the wagon taking one of the blankets that had been covering Angelo from the moon light.

~I did not mean it like that. Youngbloods are very dangerous. It is not that I don't trust you. I don't trust your current state.~ Shadow wrapped his arms around Angelo loosely, settling down to rest.

~then why did you let her rest here with me till we reached the camp?~ he moved his hand over to where Shadows arm was. it hurt him a bit but not that badly now. a few second latter she brought some water to them. "here you go. will that be enough?"

~I was testing you.~ Shadow took the bowl of water gently. "That should be enough...thank you." Shadow leaned forward and tipped a bit of water into Angelo's mouth. "Tell me if your stomach feels upset."

~testing me? Why were you testing me?~ drinking up the water angelo sighed. ~why do you ask me to tell you when my stomach feel upset? Does that mean that I am full?~

~Testing the restraints of a youngblood is vital. If your stomach feels upset, it means you will have to vomit and won't be able to eat or drink for the next day or so.~ Shadow kissed his cheek, gently.

~well I am still not feeling like I am going to throw up or have a stomach ache.~ he rubbed his hands along Shadows hand. ~I do not feel so bad any more.~

~Just tell me if it happens--you seem fine now.~ Shadow curled up next to him, prepared to settle down for the night. ~You should stay put here for tonight.~

~good night love, I was not planning on getting up and walking off any time soon.~ with that Angelo went back to sleep. He hoped that when next he woke he would be able to get up and move around. A thought bubbled to the surface of his mind as he fell asleep. ~you never did look at my gift~
