“how long have you been traveling that he has not tasted of human blood? He seems to be older then newblood.” Sidhe had a worried look on his face. “I have never seen a newblood be so relaxed in the sun.”
|
"...He is a Silverblood. Like myself. A very rare form of vampire. In my long life I can say with certainty that I have only formally met one other of my kind. Silverbloods are more relaxed in the sun. They can walk during the day if heavily covered." Shadow paused. "Silverbloods are cannibalistic. I allowed him to feed off of me for now, since it is safe. But I need to be there when he tries human blood for the first time."
|
“I knew you were a silverblood, it is hard to hide the blood lines from me. I am a trueseer, a blood line that was killed off by one of the strongest bloodlines at the time. They killed us off for fear that we would bring them to an end.” He had a sad look now in his eyes. “we were not set to do any harm to any of the blood lines but they could not see us as not wanting to do it.”
|
Shadow vaguely remembered hearing about Trueseers, somewhere. For the life of him, he couldn't remember where. For some reason, that bothered him. Deeply. "Ah, I see. People can be so ignorant." He fell silent. Since his mind was still open, worries about Kain, a violent angelic empress who was well-known by higher-ups of all species, flowed through his head. He was recalling the last time she touched down to Earth. She'd played a part in the story of Alexander The Great.
|
Sidhe flinched and pulled away from him. “I really would like it if you would not bombard me like that. I know I am in a way invading your mind but… oh gods no!” the world around them changed and distorted till it looked like the first time she set down on earth. Then in a rapped succession the many times she had and would come down. Sidhe clasped his hands over his temples trying to keep the visions at bay but as he was in fact in Shadows mind it was a bit hard. He whimpered, lucky for shadow he was not feeling what Sidhe was.
|
Shadow blinked, shaking his head a few times, and then recalled what he had said, finally. "My apologies." Abruptly, the doors slammed down on Shadow's mind, and Sidhe was pushed out of it. The visions stopped coming, quite abruptly. He closed his eyes and worried away once more.
|
The spell disappearing and a sharp pain would be the only signs that he was being released from the confinement. “Time to wake up sleeping beauty.” Sidhe’s voice was soft next to Shadows ear. “Time to see your new home for the next few years if you will take it.”
|
Shadow sat up, but didn't move any more than that. He had very strange gut instincts when feeling threatened...he curled up, legs against his chest, and glowered at the floor. It was a very childlike position...like a small child trying to protect himself from someone older, or more threatening.
|
They were within the wagon on the bed; next to him was Angelo asleep. The only other person in the room was Sidhe and he was actually a crossed the room in a chair that must have been brought in so he could sit down. In his hand was a small knife about the size of his thumb made out of a black stone. Setting it onto the table he smiled. Angelo sighed in his sleep and turned over to wrap his arms around Shadow. “sorry about that. The Mothers took one look at your childer there and said that there was no way we could turn you away. You will be added as a full member to the family when he wakes up and you two are ready.” Sidhe was dressed in a flowing tunic that was made up of layers of veils and gauze like material. Every one of them was a different pail color. Most of them looked near to white. “is there anything you would like to know?”
|
Shadow stayed sitting up, but lowered himself just a bit so Angelo could hold onto him. "It is fine..." His tone was still a tad snippy. Understandable, for someone who was used to only seeking the company of people when he was thirsty for so many years. He didn't like being around large groups of people. It was why he never purchased homes inside cities...always on the outskirts, with very few or no neighbors. In response to Sidhe's question, he laid his head down on his knees and shook it, slowly. Worries of Kain were passing through his mind once again. If she came to that town at another time, and Shadow wasn't there...chaos...
|
“it is all up to you. I nor the mothers are going to keep you here, and with him you won’t have to worry about us not letting you go.” Sidhe said as he looked over Angelo, a slight look of longing filled his eyes. “it is not often one of the lost ones come home and bring someone along that will be a good addition to the clan.” Shaking his head Sidhe smiled and looked back on Shadow. “is there any food or other that you require that I can get for you?”
Crying out Angelo wrapped his arms around shadow tighter. He was dreaming, and whatever it was made him worry about losing shadow. |
Shadow lazily wrapped his arms around Angelo, his eyelids seeming rather heavy. "No...I will be fine." He just seemed to want to rest, to curl up with Angelo and disregard the rest of the world. That kind of attitude often indicated that he was not in a good mood. Then again, he was rarely in a good mood when he was feeling tighter.
He placed a hand on top of Angelo's head, gently willing any bad dreams he may have been having away. |
“Just call me if you have need of anything I will be just outside of the wagon.” With that Sidhe jabbed the knife into the table he had been sitting at and then moved to the door, before he turned back and looked at them both. “don’t think that us accepting you will allow you to do what you will to him. if it comes to that others of your kind will take care of him and you will be left out to dry out in the sun.” he turned back twords the door.
|
Shadow could get very territorial over close lovers he had. As a result, his back arched up slightly at the other's words, and his eyes narrowed. "If you think I plan on harming him, you're sorely mistaken. And there are no more of my kind."
That was all he said. He tightened his grip around Angelo. It was a protective, parental sort of embrace, and one he didn't plan on loosening for a long while. He could also, it seemed, get very touchy when he was compared to other breeds of vampires. He was a one-of-a-kind vampire, the last of his specific breed. He was proud of that. |
"Your forgeting that you are now not the last of your kind. you have a child and he is also of your kind." With that Sidhe stepped out of the waggon and closed the door behind him. there had been sounds of children laughing and woman scolding them; sounds of horses and goats. the sounds had been close but not close enough that the wagon could be in the main circle of the camp.
Angelo wimpered and nuzzled at shadow. a mix of hunger and fear. |
Shadow grumbled as the man left. He was so used to referring to himself as the last of his kind. At the moment, he did not consider Angelo a full Silverblood--he considered him a novice, a student...an apprentice. Only when he learned to control his powers and his need for blood would he accept him as a full-blooded member of his own kin.
Shadow ran a hand through Angelo's hair, staring off into the distance with hazy eyes. If he wanted to bite him, he certainly could. |
being held against a wall Angelo tried to reach out as the shadow men pulled Shadow away from him. they said something about how he needed to disassociate with shadow and he would only bring Angelo down. lashing out Angelo tried to hurt them yet his fingers seemed to not even touch them. finely in shear desperation he lunged at his captures neck. his fangs sinking in, the blood warm and inviting to him. Angelos hunger called for more as he sighed.
Angelo wrapped his arms around Shadow as he buried his fangs into Shadows neck. |
Shadow tugged him a little closer, a low purr of satisfaction passing through his lips. It was not healthy for Silverbloods to feed off of each other more than three times a day, so he would have to watch and make sure Angelo found more people willing to give blood.
He ran his hands through Angelo's hair, hoping to drive away the bad dream he appeared to be having. |
A taste in the blood that he fed on slowly woke Angelo to the fact that he was dreaming and that he was feeding on some one. not wanting to do any damage his mind slowly woke him up, his body tensed then relaxed as he realized who he was feeding on. ~ If I keep feeding from you, your going to be weak love.~ as his ears slowly picked up on the camp sounds outside of the wagon he sighed and relaxed into the flow of blood. ~so we found them did we? Some one here will be able to let me feed on them as long as you teach me to not over feed on them.~ he sighed happily, enjoying the feel of Shadows fingers running through his hair.
|
~I will be fine. You don't need to worry about me...~ Shadow continued to run his fingers through Angelo's hair, encouraging him to take as much as he needed. Silverbloods could regenerate lost blood within the span of a single day...so, for now, extra bites were fine. It couldn't be done everyday, however, or he would grow ill.
He closed his eyes, resting his head on the other male's shoulder. |
~ you do realize that I can not stop worrying about you? I care for you a bit to much.~ reaching up Angelo ran his fingers through Shadows hair as he closed his eyes again. The touch of Shadow when he had been alive had been enjoyable, but now is was a full new world to him. he had not noticed the change before when he had last fed off shadow but now; now he wanted to slowly enjoy this new feeling.
The sound of the door opening startled him out of his enjoyment of the touch. In the door stood a man, the fire light behind him made it hard to see much of his features. His hair was so light a color that the fire light made it near to invisible. “will you two be staying in here all night nibbling on each other or are you going to come out and meet the rest of the clan.” The mans voice was like soothing water over rocks, with a touch of fairy bells. He was well built if the shadow was anything to go by. “there are a few of the family here who would love to meet you two, you do realize that?” |
~I still don't want you to worry yourself to death. I would feel bad...~ Shadow teased, amused. He was content to just stay here for a few more hours, immobile, just cuddling.
So, when he noticed the stranger and processed his words, he scowled, half-playful. "I am not the social type..." he commented, dryly. Unless it came to his needing to feed, he was not at all social. He preferred to be alone, and to not have to deal with people. Socializing was made difficult by his hair and eye color, anyway... He glanced at Angelo, leaving the decision up to him. |
~ am I not in a way already dead?~ Angelo looked over at the man that was standing in the door way. “an why are they wanting to meet us?” Angelo sounded worried and confused.
“do you mind if I step into your wagon?” the man slowly ran his hand through his hair, if one were to guess they would think that he was posing so that the two could see his best side. Angelo shock his head no and the man stepped into the wagon. The light in the room revealed the snow white hair and frost blue eyes. Some might have thought that he was an old man by his hair alone but his eyes seemed to be the eyes of a man ten times his age. Shutting the door behind him he smiled, it was a very mischievous smile. “It is kind of frowned upon in this clan to keep feeding off each other, and there are many of welling volunteers who are waiting to meet you two. It is not often that we get new vampires in the clan and most of the ones here have a preference and so we have a few donors that don’t have recipients.” Angelo lifted his nose and sniffed as he caught a whiff this man. The smell this man was putting off made Angelo’s mouth water. Had he not already eaten he probably would have tried to get this guy to allow him to feed. ~think you’re up to going out there and finding someone to take my place, as your blood donor not lover.~ a slight tone of annoyance could be heard in his mental voice, but he was trying to hide it. he did not want Shadow to feel that he could not take another lover but he also did not want to share this man with any other. |
~That depends on what you mean by dead.~
Shadow didn't elaborate on that, feeling it was too long-winded and boring an explanation to bother with for the moment. Shadow took note of the man's scent but was uninterested. He had long since learned to control his desire for blood and rarely got strong reactions from the scent of it nearby. "I do not take on donors unless they become lovers of mine. So, I am not interested...not for now...." Hunger was building up in Shadow's stomach, but he wouldn't admit that. Not to a stranger. His antisocial side was rearing its ugly head once more. Silverbloods, by nature, had many issues biting from people they didn't eventually return to for more blood, and possibly sex of some kind. They were very sexual vampires...they took on the properties of Incubi and Succubi, at times. |
“well you do realize that you two cant just keep feeding off each other. As much as you silvery ones can live off each other.” The frost haired man waved his hand off in the direction of the two of them as he looked towards the door. “one of you are going to have to take on another lover if that is the only way you can do it.” he sighed and slowly turned back to the door.
~is it true that we have to take our donors as lovers? I really don’t think I could stand that, having another lover then you~ angelo sighed and stood up. “might as well at least go meet the rest of the clan. There may be others that can help us.” |
