"Could you possibly point me in the direction of a nice, quiet place where I could sit and be alone for a while? Perhaps my headache will fade away if I am in a silent place...I might return in just a few minutes if I'm feeling better."
Shadow, overall, just seemed glum. He hated worrying about people. He was a worrywart, indeed...and that tired him out rather quickly. He closed his eyes, leaning more against the tree. ~I am not feeling very well. I'm going to find a quiet place where I can sit for a while and relax...~ Something in Shadow's tone suggested that he did not want to be alone, but was too prideful to ask anyone for silent company. |
“if your looking for a good place with sounds of water just fallow that path there and it will take you up to the top of the water fall. We wont let any one pass by us.” The girl pointed to a faded path throught the grass that led up along the side of the rocks. “but if you just want a quite place to go to, just go walk south from here and you will reach a second clearing that very few people know about.”
~ is there just to many people around right now? I know your not to used to the way the clan is.~ Angelo sounded very worried about shadow. Sitting up he patted Julian and then stood. “I need to go, I will see you latter.” He gently brushed at Julian’s face a sad feeling growing in the pit of his stomach. He was becoming worried that Shadow was not going to do well here in the encampment. It had been so long and he had fallen right back into his old routine and not thought of his sires discomfort. “I have to go see about something.” |
Shadow bowed his head slightly, seeming thankful. "Thank you. If Angelo comes by here...you may let him through..." He turned and headed towards the indicated path. It didn't take him long to reach the top of the waterfall. He stayed out of sight, sitting between two large trees and resting his head on the side of one of them.
~I am just not feeling well. I don't know what the issue is...~ Oftentimes when Shadow was upset, his mind would forcibly cave in on itself and prevent him from really understanding what he was sad about. This frustrated him even more and often made it worse for him. It was why he tried to avoid getting upset often... |
Julian smiled and watched as Angelo walked off. He would find it fun to see how far he could push Angelo. But right now would not be the best thing to do to Angelo. As long as Jeff did not get wind of what he was doing then this was going to be fun. Soon enough Angelo would not trust shadow and shadow would flee this encampment because of the pressure he would get from the rest of the family.
Angelo slowly walked along the way that he could smell Shadow. It was interesting the scents he was picking up as he walked. Frist it was the ratty man that made him feel like a disgusting child and then it was the two cute ladys. As their scents became stronger he heard the sound of the girls giggaling. Slowly taking a breath he thought of what he should do. He did not want others to know that he was fallowing his sire. The others would come looking for him and he really did not want them disturbing them. at that moment one of the sisters dared the other to dive as far down as she could. They both went under and Angelo quickly crossed to the path up to the falls. As he reached the top he looked around and then slowly walked over to Shadow. “do you need to feed? I am full and feel like I might burst, would you like to?” Angelo slipped his fingers through Shadows hair. |
Shadow shifted a bit so he could tug Angelo close and rest his head on his shoulder. He didn't say anything, but his tight hold and unintentionally blocked-off mind indicated that he was very upset and felt out of place, for some reason. He just wanted to spend a day or two with Angelo here, seeing as he had no idea how to live here and felt very alone even with the prospect of a new donor in the air.
It was odd to see a grown male of Shadow's age and standing seeming to feel rather weak and childlike in a new and stressful situation. It was a bit disheartening, as well. ...But, it was semi-nice for Angelo, seeing as Shadow just wanted to cuddle and spend time with him. He wanted nothing more and nothing less. |
“I am sorry Shadow, I had forgotten that you have never been a part of a wagon train before and that this would all be new to you. I feel back on old habits.” Shifting around so that they both would be comfortable he lifted Shadows hand and kissed it. “you have done so much for me that I cant begin to thank you for and yet I still forget to make sure your feeling ok.” It hurt him to see shadow this way. For as long as they had been with each other Shadow had been the strong one, the one controlling every thing but now… now Angelo would have to be Shadows protector. “how long can you feed off me if I have donors?” already he was thinking of the others in the small group he had met and if any of them would be good for them.
Julian was lovely, hansom and attractive but there was something there that just made him seem like a bad boy. Something about him was just not right, it excited Angelo but now he could not go on what he wanted, but what they needed. He knew this world just like Shadow knew the world of the home Rooted people. Now he had to show Shadow how to life here. |
Shadow closed his eyes, looking a bit more relaxed than he had been. He was still tense and upset, and would not settle down for a few minutes yet. "I'm sorry, as well...I'm upset over nothing at all..." he muttered, sounding ashamed. "...That depends on how much you drink. I can drink just a bit more from you if you have donors to go to when you're feeling weak.." he hummed, trying to tap into old thoughts.
He kissed Angelo's cheek, and then rested their heads together. "Perhaps we should both turn in for the night. It has been a long day..." A good sleep would do them both well... |
“I don’t think you upset over nothing, you just are not used to this.” He waved his hand at where the rest of the clan was. “and your used to me being close to you, so when I just up and took off, because I was falling back into old habits. You felt off kilter, like the world had just knocked the ground from under you.” leaning in he gently kissed Shadows lips. The tasted of them surprised him, he had forgotten how good they felt and tasted and now with the blood flowing through him, they only became more so. All thoughts of Julian and the clan lost from his mind. All he could think of was Shadow, and making him feel safe and happy. Pulling back Angelo looked down at Shadow.
“I am fully fed now, if your hungry, and I think I may know of a few others that would not mind being my feeders, maybe the next one I pick I will make sure they don’t mind being with both of us?” Angelo smiled a smile of hope. |
"Perhaps we can each take one for ourselves, and then pick one or two to share?" Shadow suggested, smiling a bit at last. He seemed to feel much more comfortable with Angelo around--he leaned forward and kissed him this time, gentle as always. "...I should be fine for now. Perhaps when we get back to the wagon...I think it's going to rain soon."
He glanced up at the cloudy heavens disdainfully. He didn't like being caught out in the rain, especially when he wasn't feeling right yet. He kept his arms securely around Angelo to keep them both warm. The clouds that were threatening to bring the rain in were also bringing in a cool breeze. |
Enjoying the kiss Angelo sighed then cupped Shadows face in his hands. “who was that man you were talking to while I was with the others. He seemed interesting.” Carefully standing up Angelo looked around, after a moment he found a different path then the one they had come up on and pulled Shadow along it. “this one looks better, we wont pass by the twins, they are sweet but not to my taste.” Somewhere in the back of his mind a map of the area formed and he led them along a path that at times seemed not to even be there. As they neared where he thought the wagons should been, he stopped.
|
"I believe he said his name was Jeff. He was indeed interesting...perhaps you should talk to him tomorrow..." Shadow stood up and walked with Angelo willingly, semi-agreeing with him about the twins. While he didn't dislike having women as partners sometimes, he was very picky with his tastes when it came to them.
"...Why did you stop...?" Shadow seemed to not be paying much attention--he was growing tired and was happy to let Angelo take the lead for now. He knew Angelo liked to have a sense of someone controlling him, and he was perfectly willing to keep that behavior up as long as the two of them spent an ample amount of time together. |
Angelo did not fully hear Shadow speak as he was seeing the attack on his wagon train. His mother and sister. He fell to his knees his mind fighting to understand what he was seeing and what he was not. Without thinking about it he moved to his old wagon, the paint on it was faded and a few of the boards were lose. The door when he opened it fell to the ground the hinges rotted away. Inside the floor boards were dust covered but other then that is looked like the owner had just left it. Anglo called out a name that he had not called out in years and tumbled into the wagon. Quickly he crawled over to the dust covered bed and pulled himself up into It, his face streaked with tears. He knew that she was gone but to now see his old home and to find it real was a shock to him. “shadow?” his voice quivered with an unknowing to it. he was afraid that Shadow had been a dream and he was still that little boy who had just seen his family die. His hand reached out for Shadow.
|
Shadow at first went to help Angelo up, but then something dawned on him and he pulled his arms away, quietly allowing Angelo to do as he wished for now. He followed him into the wagon, still silent, and waited for Angelo to address him.
The moment he did, he moved from his spot near the entrance of the wagon to the side of the bed and took Angelo's hand in both of his, holding it tightly. "I am here," he murmured, his voice soft and reassuring. He wanted to chase the sadness away from Angelo, but he felt that he could do little at the moment...so, he did what he could... He reached out and wrapped his arms around Angelo, hoping the warmth of a hug would calm him down. |
His mind cleared and the images of the past disappeared from his eyes, and now all he saw was the abandoned wagon and Shadow. “this was my home, my wagon.” His voice trembled with the sadness. “this is where my mother used to sing to me, I did not know that it was still here.” Gently he pulled on Shadow to lay down beside him in the bed. “I had thought that the wagons would have been removed and that there would be no trace of what happened.”
|
Shadow did not fight Angelo when he was pulled and he gingerly laid down in the bed next to him, placing a gentle kiss on his forehead. "Will you be all right?" he asked, concerned. He was wondering if there was anything here that Angelo wanted to sift through and take back to their current abode...it had been a long time, but he knew that some things might be left...
|
“I think that I will be, but I would like to stay here for a time.” The sounds of the rain starting hitting the roof made Angelo look up. “I don’t think we can go out any time soon, and they wont be leaving without us. We are new and do not know where next the clan will go so they will not leave us behind.” Cuddling up closely to Shadow Angelo sighed. His neck open to Shadows, so if he wanted to feed he could. Angelo now only wished to give to Shadow what he had been giving to Angelo for the past few times that Angelo needed it. “take what you need I have fed resently.”
|
Shadow seemed reluctant at first, but he settled forward and sank his fangs into Angelo's neck. It was rare for Silverbloods to need to feed off of other Silverbloods--that was when there was an abundance of them in existence, of course. It was a peculiar and wonderful feeling for the biter and the bitten...an exquisite mix of emotions, feelings, and sensations...
Shadow did not drink for long...perhaps for just a few minutes. He pulled back then, simply curling up more with the younger male. He didn't want to take too much. |
Angelo sighed and let the feelings wash over him as Shadow fed. His fingers reached up and intwined in his hair. He wanted the feeling to continue forever but he knew that it could not last that long. Was he broken to long for this feeling to last? If shadow did feed for forever then he, Angelo would die yet he still longed for it. when shadow stopped Angelo sighed again and curled up into shadows hold. He was different then he had been when last he had lain here with someone. then it had been his sister, the night before the attack. She had been telling him that it had just been a dream and he need not fear it. now he knew what he had dreamt was not a dream but what was to come. It had been shadow feeding on him that had scared him, but now Angelo could only find pleasure in it.
“will it always be that way with us now? Only on a rear time will you take from me that which you need?” he was sadden by the thought that they never would be that close again. |
"...I can still bite you at any given time. My bites do not have to include me taking blood if I am careful, after all. It will still have the same effect, but will not drain you of any blood," Shadow explained. To demonstrate his point, he moved forward again and sank his fangs into the other side of Angelo's neck. He did not take any blood this time, though he was sorely tempted to--he just let the feeling wash over the two of them of being joined in an intimate sort of manner.
|
Not being prepared for the second bite Angelo gasped , his eyes fluttered closed. This was different, this was better. there was something about the taking of blood that felt intimate but this, this was different. His mind fluttered about trying to stay focused on what was going on but the sensations was pulling off into a bliss he had not felt for a long time. He whimpered, he had missed this. It had been some time since he had known Shadow to have full control over him, but now, now Angelo would have done anything to keep this going.
~I had forgotten, its been to long.~ |
Shadow reached up to affectionately twine his fingers in Angelo's hair. ~I am sorry if I have been neglecting you. Things have been hectic for the past few days.~ He sounded apologetic, but happy that Angelo was enjoying the new sensation. It took a lot of self-control for Shadow to bite and not take blood...therefore, this was something that Angelo certainly could not do yet. It was difficult for young vampires to develop a sense of self-control when it came to feeding...but Silverbloods were even harder to 'train.'
|
~It has been busy, and I was distracted by my sisters death for a while. I am sorry love, it is not just your fault for our neglect.” His mind was slowly being pulled back to the world around him. reaching out he pulled Shadow closer to him. his fingers also fallowing Shadows and entwining into Shadows hair. ~my love do you still need blood, if so I don’t think that you need to hold back. I feel as I felt when I was human.~
|
~We will make up for lost time,~ Shadow promised, softly. He was just thinking of allowing his self-control to slip when he heard Angelo's offer. ~...I do not want to tire you out. So, please inform me if you start to feel weak, light-headed, or tired...~ With that, Shadow began to steadily drink some more blood out of Angelo. He did need more blood...Silverbloods were piggish vampires and could not live more than two weeks without having some blood in their system...whereas other breeds could live about a month or two without taking blood.
|
Angelo’s fingers tightened in shadows hair as he let the feelings wash over him again. it was then that he realized that this was near to the same feelings that he felt when he feed off of Julian. trying not to let the sensation over take him again, he tried to ride the wave of sensation. ~I will tell you if I feel that way but for now, it has been some time since we were…~ he let the thought go, knowing that if Shadow wished it he would take the hint. And he did not want to have to hear Shadow say no to what he wanted.
|
Shadow's hands dropped from Angelo's hair to rest on his sides, delicately. He enjoyed feeling the other's fingers tighten in his hair...but he was glad to see that Angelo was trying to keep some semblance of self-control during this. Self-control was often the most difficult thing for younger vampires to grasp...when it came to much of anything, at all. ~...I will not deny you what you want, if that is what you really want,~ he purred, softly.
