Tara looked up at him scared. "But what if he actually kills me next time?" she asked and looked up at him. "Or what if he hurts you?" she didn't want anything to happen to him.

Lethal raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Tara love, I would much rather die than see you in pain." he said and kissed her nose. "I'll die for you..." he whispered. |
"No Lethal please don't say that....I would be put threw more pain if you died." Tara said starting to cry. "Please don't say that" she begged looking up at him. "Anything but that"

He wiped away her tears gently and looked into her eyes.
"I'm sorry...I won't say that anymore." he said and kissed her neck softly then pulled away and held her close. "Don't cry love, please." he said and stroked her hair softly. |
"I am sorry....just the thought of life with out you.....I can't even think of it." Tara said and clung to him. "Please lets go." she whispered and looked up at him pleadingly. She wanted to get away with him and never come back.

If we leave, I'll never be able to see my father again. I know hes evil, but he's still my father." he said hoping she would understand.
"I mean....be in my shoes for a while. Would you, if you hauled up this handsome merman and then your father hurt him, would you run away with the merman and never speak to your father again?"he asked her. |
"Lethal I understand what you are saying but I wouldn't be able to watch the one I love get hurt by my father.....and I never said would wouldn't be able to talk to him" Tara said looking up at Lethal a little hurt. She couldn't watch Lethal get hurt any more and she had no idea how he could watch her get hurt. "Lethal I love you" she said and looked up at him.

"I know you do...and if we leave I won't talk to him anymore because if I get close, he'll get me and expariment on me...or turn me into a human again, or something. he might get you again too! so we need to stay very far from reach and never even show up anymore. For our own safety." he said quietly and felt like his soul had shattered and he suddenly felt very week but stayed with her.

"Lethal I am sorry" Tara whispered and kissed his cheek. "Can you put me in my tank now please?" she asked looking up at him sadly. She felt horrible that she had hurt him. She now wished she had never pleaded with him or said anything. She would of been died now and would of saved Lethal all this hurt.

"Don't be love...you only cared, you were concerned he said and kissed her before gently placing her in her tank. Then a thought occurred to him, maybe he can make her human...but he would have to find a needle with that type of liquid.

Tara kissed him back then sank to the bottom of the tank. She curled up making her mind. She sighed knowing it was the only thing to do to save herself and Lethal.

Lethal sighed and lay down on the couch falling to sleep.

Tara looked up and smiled softly seeing Lethal asleep. She then took a little bottle out from what looked like no where and drank it. She then turn human and got out of the tank. She took Lethal's shirt from the night before and pulled in on. She found paper and a pen then wrote a note to Lethal.

Lethal woke up the next day and noticed the tank was empty, no Tara. "Father...." he sighed and streched before getting up and then read the note Tara had left him. "Home? wait...how did she get out? Something's not right here..." he said but decided to find out later and went to his house to eat some breakfast. |
Tara was cold tired and hungry but she kept going. She clung to the shirt her only reminder of Lethal. Lethal's father walked up to the kitchen and looked at LEthal angrily. "Where did you take her?" he asked growling. "I know you hid her so I couldn't test on her." he said and grabbed Lethal's shirt coller. "Where is she?" he hissed.

Lethal yawned and shrugged.
"I have no idea where she's at....I went to sleep right after I put her in the tank. When I woke up she was one and left me a note saying she was going home." he said too tired to fight. "I don't understand though how she got out of the tank...so I think you have her...but I don't know." he added. |
"Why would I be coming to you boy if I had her?" His father said then slapped him across the face. "Now wake up and help me find her." he growled. "And if you don't help me she will be in more pain" he said and left to go look for her. Tara sat on a rock at the beach and looked out at sea. She wanted to go back home but she wanted to stay and may be Lethal would come after her. So she just sat there and soon tears streaked down her cheeks.

The slap actually made him wake up and feel better.
"Thanks, I needed that." he whispered and looked around for her. He then stepped outside and looked for her there. |
Tara looked back up the hill to the house and lab. She hadn't gotten far that night because she wasn't that good with her legs and it was down hill at night. She felt the potion wearing off and soon her legs turned into a tail. She sighed and put her tail in the water. Lethal's father ran back up stairs holding Tara's note. "She ran away....and you were with her all night...how could you let her go?" he hissed at Lethal.

"I was sleeping! How am I supposed to watch her and not get sleep! I was tired!" he said surprised at what was happening.
"I'll keep looking for her, don't go crazy on me okay!" he said and began to walk towards the beach. |
Tara had fallen asleep by the sound of the waves. Lethal's father just growled and walked back in the house and prepared the lab for when Tara came back.

Lethal found her and picked her in his arms and waited for her to wake up.
"Tara? wake up love." he said gently and kissed her. |
Tara woke and smiled seeing Lethal but then it faded. "Lethal I can't go back....I don't want to see you hurt any more.....getting injected or having to decided to either be with me or your father" she said looking up at him hoping he would understand. "I have to go back home for you" she whispered.

He sighed but put her in the ocean.
"I guess...but what will I tell my father? that I saw you jump into the water and swim away?" he asked kissing her quickly an then sat on the rock and looked down at her. To his surprise, this farewell didn't hurt as much as he thought it would. |
Tara sighed and looked up at him. She had hoped he would have begged her not to go but she knew it was better that he wasn't. "I don't know." she whispered then pulled him to her. She kissed him then hugged him. "I love you" she whispered and then jumped into the ocean. She wanted to turn back and look at Lethal but she forced her self to look away and keep swimming.
