((whew, what a delay. Oops?))
Cain glanced over to see Eve resting, and he frowned a bit. She didn't seem like she was in perfect health, but he wasn't about to point that out to her. Instead, he got the glasses, filled the two with juice, and then brought them one over to the woman. "How many pieces?" he asked her, refering to the pizza that sat before them. - "When?" Abel glanced at his planner, and then at the clock. "Starting today, I have from two to midnight," he chuckled, and smiled upon hearing the blush in Iva's voice. She certainly was one that wasn't used to asking for help. Then again, Abel wasn't used to giving it, so it put the both of them in unfamiliar territory. "If you need me, I can come now." His words ended in what sounded like a question, and he took a deep breath before looking back to the clock. Yes, he had the time. |
"Thank you.....one slice will be fine for now." Eve said tohim as she took the glass, digging around in a side pocket on her wheel chair as she dug a couple of pill bottles out, not letting him see what was written on them. "Cain....I....thank you again." she said to him after to pulled her pills out of the bottles before she closed them and shoved them back into the side pocket. She quickly took them, letting her eyes wander around her home/shop, not saying much as she was slightly depressed, but the urge tolean on someone was always there even though she never showed it.

[ wow, been awhile haha ]
Iva smiled "Now would be great actually" She said, looking around her messy place, she would have to clean up a bit..."How long will you be ?" She wondered how much time she would have to clean up to where her house would look...normal. Right now there is everything, everywhere, and it was almost frighting how messy it was...how did she get it like this? She then realized she was still on the phone, she hoped she didnt miss anything he said.... |
((I know, right? :XD))
"You're welcome." The words were sincere - he actually meant them this time. Perhaps this girl had the ability to drag him out of the darkness where he typically wandered. The people he hung out with were gutter-snipes, to say it in a light way. True scum in society - that's who Cain tended to conduct business with. It was one of the few reasons that Cain and his brother didn't get along well. While Abel had inherited his family's old home, Cain was left with little other than a car and some of the inheritance. Most of what he was given was sold to Abel for safe-keeping anyway. Cain wasn't confident that he'd keep it safe if it was with him. Looking to Eve as he served up a slice of pizza for her, he noticed her take the pills, but said nothing. It wasn't his business anyway. Smiling slightly, he took a seat beside her, moving a chair so he could sit at her right. "How long have you lived alone?" he asked, glancing to the hallway where he'd hung up the pictures of her "family." - "I'll be about an hour, actually. I have a call or two to make, and then I'll be right over." Abel's blue eyes flickered to the clock again, and he immediately reached for a pen. Taking a few notes as to what he had to do before leaving, he then frowned. "Might I get your address? I haven't been around this town since I was young, so it's been a while." Come to think of it, he hadn't really been in the area for . . . years. Many years. Ever since his parents were still healthy and alive - and even longer than that. "And do you have anything that you need me to pick up on the way?" Holding the phone to his ear with his shoulder, Abel collected a stack of papers before standing and heading toward his room. He needed to change out of his business clothing, and then he would make those calls before leaving. |
"Since I was eighteen." Eve said to him as she smiled and took the plate from him and began to eat her slice of pizza, she didn't takeanother bite when she was done with the first one. "Foster care.....and sometimes the families i lived with were not the best. I am just lucky that the last family i lived with last was rich and is paying me to stay out thier hair.....i am the adoption that was a mistake." she whispered to her pizza before she took another bite of it, remaining quiet for a little bit before she took a sip of her juice, it seemed as if her medication had made her slightly depressed.

[[ I blame es!! LOL jk ]]
Iva smiled "An hour would be perfect!" She said, she would have this place looking good in no-time, then there's te factor of he might be a few minute's late! "Um...No I dont think I need anything, Thanks though." She said to Abel. "Oh yeah, My address. Here it is!" (I had her address written down in another post..so lets just say she told him where its at haha) "My farm i sthe only dairy farm so you cant miss it" She said. |
"Right," Cain frowned, and then shook his head. "Do you like being away from them?" He didn't want to make her feel bad, but the words merely slipped out of his mouth. "Is it hard for you?"
- Abel laughed, and thanked her for her address. He would go to visit Iva soon. It would be around an hour. After saying his farewell, the male stood, sighing as he went to change. It was time to go. ((:XD Sorry it's so short, guys. I'm pretty dead right now.)) |
[[ It's ok!]]
Iva Hung up the phone and smiled. She got up from the chair she was sitting in and limped around the house to clean, cook, do some laundry. She wished she hadn't hurt her leg..It was to embarrassing to ask someone, especially Abel for help...He was such a busy guy! When her Hour was about up, she hurried and did a few last minute things and did her hair and made sure she looked nice. |
"I miss my foster baby brother....he is the only i hate being away from. Is what hard for me?" Eve asked him as she finished eatting her food, setting the plate on the counter as she finished her juice, leaning back in the wheel chair as she looked towards the ceiling that she had started to paint. She felt releaved about talking about her past and being in the system, but there was still somethings that happened to her that she could not bring her self to tell others about.
|
Abel didn't have a hard time finding Iva's place. It was, as she said, the only dairy farm nearby. As he pulled up, he sighed, sitting back in his seat for a few moments before getting out and actually approaching the woman's front door. Here at last. It had taken him a good five extra minutes - it was five after the hour mark. Hopefully it wasn't that big of a deal to her. . . .
- "I was just wondering if it was hard for you to live alone after all that," Cain whispered, and then shook his head. "Are you finished?" Standing, the male glanced at the time before taking their dishes to the counter. "And would you mind if I stepped out for a while? A friend of mine just texted me, and she says it's rather urgent." Looking apologetic, the dark-haired youth moved to make sure that Eve was comfortable before he even thought about leaving her alone. |
"I will be fine. Besides it is late and you need to go home anyways." Eve said to him as she smiled and nodded her head yes at being done, waving him off as she watched him leave the house. Once he was gone she soon got a depressed look on her face and wheeled over to the couch after she locked the door, laying on the couch, she turnned the lights out and begin to cry her self to sleep.
|
((:XD HOw sad.))
Cain arrived in the alley where he was meeting her - his contact. She was dressed in a high-class business outfit, her blouse unbuttoned just a bit too much. Meeting her gaze, the tall male nodded, and she moved to stand before him with a grin. "I have another job for you, my little troublemaker." Her short hair flit about her features wildly, and her large eyes locked on his gaze. "Another city drive. Nothing big . . . you've done it before." Nodding, the man took a deep breath. "How much?" "3k, Cain. It's important cargo." The blonde woman handed him a small folder with a few instructions before stepping forward and boldly pressing herself against him. "Don't be late." She blew a minty bubble into his face, popping it loudly before leaving the dark street with the walk of one who ruled the world. - It was many hours later when Cain sat on his own couch, staring at the envelope. The job was an escort - to play errand boy. But it payed well . . . and Chloe was always one to supply him with extra cash to line his pockets. Flipping the package open, he began to read. It would be late that night, and he would be out for many hours. By the time the work was through, Cain would be returning home around seven in the morning. He'd be out all night - and he knew that Abel hated it when he pulled all-nighters. It looked wrong, though it was rarely what he thought. He was swiftly trying to get a bit of sleep before the work began. Cain would leave at midnight. ((Hehe, Sorry for the delay.)) |
((lol i don't know what to post at the moment))
|
((*giggle* I know the feeling . . . I have it in a TON of my threads. :XD))
|
(lol at least it isn't just me lol)
|
[ Sorry guys....lol...]
Iva say him at the door and hobbled over to greet him, she opened the door. "HI" She said, feeling stupid, they have never actually met before this...."I am so glad you could help me out, I dont think I need help, but Doc's Order" She said with a laugh. "Um would you like to come in or just go straight to work? I am sure your a busy man..." She said |
Abel smiled as soon as he saw the woman, blue eyes filling with his friendly greeting. "I made time for this," he said, and reached forward to take the door from her so she could back up. "So you can stick me wherever you want. If you want someone to talk to, I'm all ears." The youth chuckled, glancing around the place. Honestly he wasn't used to the out-of-city homes and farms, so this was a bit new to him. The place that he'd recently inherited from his parents was a large house, but nothing more than that. This was different.
"Any hints as to what I'll be up to while I'm here?" Abel had until dinner, which was roughly half the day. ((I'm going to assume that both pairs of characters are on the same timeline, so I'll just wait for these guys to catch up to the night hours before posting with Cain.)) |
Iva smiled and let him in. "Well, All the animals need feedin, waterin, and brushin" She said with a small smile. Thats all there really was for him to do..."Oh and also, you need to Collect my eggs, milk my cows....Heres a list" Iva handed Ble a list she had made out earlier. "Hope that helps."
|
"It certainly does," Abel chuckled, looking it over before folding it and slipping it into his back pocket. "I'll start right away. I'll do as much as I can." Though he wasn't used to the work, he was stubborn enough - Abel would get it all finished before dinner even threatened to call.
Before he left to start with the animals, Abel asked where a few things were kept. When he felt comfortable about where he needed to be and what needed doing, he nodded, wiping his shaggy hair from his face. "I'll see you in a little while then," he said, saluting playfully before heading out to start feeding and watering the creatures that needed it. Abel was gone for many hours, showing up occassionally to check in on Iva before finishing his next "chore." |
Iva smiled and waved to him as he left to feed her animals. She then hurried into her home, cleaning up the place, she would make him a nice dinner, since she did not have much money to offer him she could at least offer a hot meal. But what would she make?
After a few hours of deep cleaning it was getting late, she hobbled around her kitchen getting ingredients to make her famous pasta and Corn bread. She hoped that Able liked her cooking...she had never really had people over, she was not much of a people person. [ Hey guys, Me and matt broke up 3 weeks ago, I had to move out and Had no way of getting online. He kept everything...So sorry for the wait. ] |
((aww it is okay we are very patient people and life happens and comes first  ))
|
[ thanks for understanding....:) ]
|
(not a problem :))
|
((Oh, hunny. We have no problems with the waiting - I agree with Ameika! We're just online players. :3))
When Abel returned to the house, he ended up sitting on the porch. Worn out (for he wasn't used to such work), the youth merely leaned against the nearest railing while taking off his shoes. He didn't want to get her house dirty. Upon finally pulling himself up from his seat, Abel knocked on the door before entering. "Whatever that is, it smells better than any meal I've ever had." Honestly, after a bit of work, that was completely true. |
Iva stepped out of her kitchen, and smiled. "Really?" She said with a smirk, Abel looked so tired. The same thing would happen to her once she could do her own work again. "Hvae a seat at the table its almost done." She said getting the plates ready. The pasta looked amazing, and her corn bread was usually to die for. "What will you have to drink?" She asked while setting the table and hobbling around to do it. damn her foot, or leg...They both hurt.
