{Aoi/June} 1x1

As I said, I fail at titles. Anyway, this is a RP for myself and Aoi Kazuya. Thank you ^^

----

A new day at school meant more abilities to stay active to the young girl. She wasn't an ordinary girl in the opinion of those around her. While many girl's were very much interested in appearance and dating, Chloe had no interest in either. She loved cooking and being active, but aside from it, the young blond could care for less. She talked to people, but she would never do much aside from it. Most of her time was spent reading cookbooks and running track. In fact, the first thing she did that day was practice for the upcoming track meet, running many laps around the school track, despite classes not having even started.

Aoi Kazuya 06-09-2010 03:05 AM

lol that's quite alright, I'm surprised I can even come up with half-decent titles, like my request thread for example, that was merely a crack title. XD
~

Another day of school. Another day full of tests and stress. Tch, how annoying. Cross tossed his head slightly to flip his dark bangs out of his eyes. It was a useless motion, they would fall back in a few seconds anyway. And just as he finished the thought he found himself looking through strands of black and blood red. Sighing, he raised a pale hand to push his black-rimmed glasses back up his nose. After that he pulled the headphones he had wrapped around his neck up. Instantly a guitar riff filled his ears and he closed his eyes in bliss. Music was his escape. It was his paradise. Almost as much as photography and writing. Sketching...that was alright as well.

He walked slowly down the sidewalk, heading to school. His hands had been stuffed into the pockets of the black jacket he wore, that hugged his thin androgynous figure. His worn out converses beat a steady rhythm as he walked, nodding his head slightly with his music. His tall form was carried with pride because that was how he was. He would stand up for himself and bow to no one. Not even his parents. A dark look entered his eyes as he thought of them but it was quickly dismissed as he immersed himself into his music once more. It was fine that he was going to school early. There were less students, which meant less noise, and less headaches.

((Thanks!))

-----

When time had passed about a half an hour, showing just how early she'd gone there by the sudden clang of doors becoming more constant as seconds passed. Taking a step onto the benches, one foot on the wood while the other stayed planted on the ground, she stretched her legs out carefully after having run constantly for a while. "I forgot to time myself... but, at least I could tell my form seemed okay."

Chloe made sure to look around some more, a tad more carefully, as she sighed to herself. People were beginning to become more easy to spot on the campus, meaning she had to hurry to beat the crowd and get to class. Picking up her messenger bag and slinging it over her shoulder and began to run yet again into the building. Unfortunately, despite her athletic ability, she wasn't the most observant person. As soon as she reached paved ground, she tripped and fell, not getting at all injured, but spilling her papers and cookbooks all over the ground around her. "Oh man... Not again..."

Aoi Kazuya 06-10-2010 02:18 AM

Cross was snapped out of his reverie by a piece of paper fluttering in front of his face before drifting to the ground. He stared at it for a moment before bending to pick it up, his glasses sliding forward a bit along with the pull of gravity and his bangs were out of his eyes for a few moments before he straightened up with the paper in hand. A name written in the corner caught his eye, 'Chloe...' He looked up to find papers all over the place and slowly began picking them up, figuring that eventually he would find their owner.

A moment later, he found who he was looking for in the form of a girl sprawled on the floor with more papers and even a few cookbooks scattered around her. He blinked before shuffling the papers in his hands into a neater pile, using his leg as a makeshift desk, bringing it up to waist level and balancing precariously on one leg. He recognized that girl now. She was one of the most athletic students in the school. She normally hung out with the other athletes...or jocks Cross supposed. He didn't know her that well since he had his own group of friends he stuck with. Most people were surprised that he knew so many people and had influence in almost every clique in the school since he was more the loner type than the popular one. He even had more power than the supposed "head" of the student body.

Actually that last thing hadn't been very hard to achieve. All Cross had done was help someone out every now and again, showing people he had a kind side while the elected "head" ran around supposedly trying to better life for the students. The students had yet to see any changes. Anyway, moving on. Cross finished with the papers he held and placed them neatly next to the girl with one of her cookbooks on top so they wouldn't fly away and quickly picked up the rest of the papers, repeating the process before standing up from the kneeling position he had assumed to place everything into a neat pile. His headphones had slipped a bit and he fixed them slowly before nodding at the girl and continuing on his way, a soft ballad emanating from his headphones this time.

Juneberry 06-10-2010 09:16 PM

Chloe had spent some good time still, even though she had seen the vaguely familiar male with his headphones trying to help, pushing the rest of her papers together. When she managed to stand, all her books and papers finally back in her messenger bag, she sighed to find that there was no sight of the person whom she had wanted to thank. "I don't know his name, but I do recognize him... I wish I could say thank you though."

Sighing, she made her way to class. Her mind wandered between two thoughts and two thoughts only. One regarded her after school job at the local bakery- she helped cook many times, and otherwise just handled the cash-register. Today, she had been told, she'd be at the oven. What would she get to make? The very thought thrilled her!

The other thought, however, was more troubling. She still couldn't figure out who the boy was that had put those papers together. Of course, thinking about it likely wouldn't help- she'd noticed she figured things out better when not trying. When she decided to let it go, of course, is when she saw him on her way to the cooking classroom in one of the hallways. Speeding up her pace, she ran over, tapping his shoulder lightly. "'Scuse me!"

Aoi Kazuya 06-10-2010 09:27 PM

After making a stop at his locker and placing a few books into his bag and tugging his headphones back down to stay wrapped around his neck as an accessory, Cross decided he had wasted enough time and that he should start to head to class. As he walked he felt a prickling sensation on the back of the neck and saw a few of the jocks glaring in his direction. Oh, had they witnessed what had happened this morning? They never did seem to like him much. He tilted his head so that his bangs fell across his right eye and offered the group a smirk, further infuriating them before moving on.

With his bag banging again his back Cross raised a hand to greet someone he knew with a high five as they ran past him, followed by more people he knew, all of them laughing as they ran past, "Looking good!" One of them called back and Cross chuckled to himself before continuing on murmuring 'hello's' and 'how-do-you-do's' to people who greeted him. His first class of the day was orchestra and he didn't want to be late. The class was working on a new piece today and he was eager to give it a try.

The quick footfalls that signified running caught his attention long before the tapping on his arm did. The hallways were mostly clear by then, it was such a hassle that his locker happened to be on the opposite side of the school from the orchestra's practice room. He turned his head at the "Scuse me!" and blinked before looking down at the girl who was speaking to him. It wasn't that she was short or anything, in fact she was probably average height, he just happened to be tall for his age was all. He faintly registered that it was the same girl he had helped this morning, Chloe was it?

"Yes?"

Juneberry 06-10-2010 09:36 PM

Chloe smiled, not really noting height as anything of importance, as most of the guys she knew were taller than her anyway. She looked up, though seemingly just out of habit, her hair trying to fall in her face, causing her to force it out again. "Sorry to bug you," She noted in a very simplistic manner. "I just wanted to thank you for helping me this morning. You helped me gather some of my books and papers outside, right? I didn't get to say anything, so I wanted to thank you when I saw you, before class starts."

Unlike most people at school, Chloe held little interest in the popularity chain. Though she was considered to be a part of the jocks due to her interest in athletics, there was little more to her then that. She rarely spent time with the others of the clique unless it was during track practice or a meet, or just after one when they celebrated. Otherwise, she pretty much spent her time alone, working on her cooking skills and other simple things that didn't require much interaction anyway.

Aoi Kazuya 06-10-2010 09:45 PM

"I see, in that case, you're welcome." Cross murmured, sliding his hands into his pocket and shifting his weight a bit as he fully turned to face the girl. He saw her messing with her hair and shook his head slightly before taking his hands out of his pocket and pulling a hairband off his wrist and holding it out to her, "Here." He often carried around a few hairbands/hairties because his shoulder length hair tended to get troublesome after a while, especially when he was eating, so he needed one or two to tie his hair up.

His eyes darted to the clock mounted on the wall and he noted how much time was left before classes officially began. Then he returned his attention to the girl in front of him, it would be rude to stare at the clock, and it would be just as rude to run off on her. It was fine anyway, if he was late he was late, it wasn't like his teacher expected otherwise anyway.

Juneberry 06-10-2010 09:49 PM

He noticed? She was actually a tad surprised he'd paid note to her troublesome strands, however pushed the thought away rather quickly, accepting it with a smile. "Thank you! I owe ya one." The plastered curls at her lips stayed as they were, her hands maneuvering to tie the hair that was falling into her face back so it couldn't get in her way during class. She looked to the clock soon after, alarmed. She still had a ways away due to the size of the school, along with where the classroom was.

"Sorry, I shouldn't keep you or we'll both end up late to classes! The bell'll catch us if we don't hurry." She nodded her head, smiling to him a bit more easily. "Thanks again. I'll pay you back somehow. Later maybe, kay?" Waving slightly, in a hurry to make it on time to cooking, she fled down the hall again. In her mind, as they learned their newest recipe, she thought about ways to alter it to different tastes, and also thought about what she'd said. Would there be a food dish she could make for him in return for his kindness?

Aoi Kazuya 06-10-2010 10:03 PM

Cross' amused laugh echoed down the empty hallway as the girl, Chloe, ran away in an attempt to get to class on time. She would no doubt make it there. She wasn't on the track team for nothing after all. He himself turned right back around and continued at his leisurely pace.

When the double doors leading to the orchestra's practice room came into view a slow smile slid onto Cross' face and he entered the room quickly before dumping his bag off to the side, placing his headphones within his bag safely. Then he went over to where the instruments were kept and neatly pulled his violin out. He lovingly pulled the instrument from its case and quickly set about tuning it before picking up the bow and spreading rosin on it. Done.

After that he headed into the actual practice room and took his seat. Second chair. He could've been first but he was lazy and didn't want to stand up like first chair often required to.

Juneberry 06-10-2010 10:09 PM

When the bell rang, Chloe noted that the teacher was late. "This is the third day in a row..." She was worried, and it was clear to herself when she had to even mention that to herself internally. When the teacher did come in, she let out a sigh of relief.

The teacher gave them very simple instructions. Apparently she'd been off- it was a testing day, meaning they had to make something on their own to be judged by the teacher. The test was simple that day, luckily. A pastry to show thanks.

Chloe preheated the oven and began to make a batter, putting in specific ingredients she felt showed the feeling of gratitude. She cooked the batter and smiled to herself. This test was helping her in multiple ways. It tested her skills, and it gave her an idea for her gift to Cross later!

Aoi Kazuya 06-10-2010 10:24 PM

Cross played the sixteenth notes on his sheet music easily, his fingers dancing across the strings, eliciting a pleasant sound. Around him, the sounds of the other intstruments joining in filled the air. It was a calming song, speaking of peace, of love, of endless amounts of time. This was why this school's orchestra was so well known, for their dedication to their music, to the time they spent in making it. To the emotions they could make others feel.

After the bell rang Cross was, of course, the last to leave the room. He had art class next, another class he liked. After that was physical education, not a clas she liked so much. As he walked an arm slung itslef around his shoulders and a weight made itself known on his left side. "Hey Cross!" Aki, one of Cross' closest friend greeted. Cross nodded back in reply. The two had art together and Aki was the best in the class. He just so happened to also be Cross' neighbor. "Why'd you ditch me this morning anyway?" Cross shrugged in response. That was normally how their convewrsations went. Aki would be speaking loudly and Cross would reply in gestures and motions.

Juneberry 06-10-2010 10:28 PM

Chloe kept the remainder of her test with her, having given the taste of it to the teacher that she was required. As usual, the teacher had enjoyed the food she made, causing her relief. If the teacher liked it, then hopefully the boy from earlier would too! Unfortunately, Chloe hadn't a clue when she'd see him again. For the time being, she'd put it in a plastic container in her school bag. She had to go to a class she didn't like next- history.

She seemed to only have two classes she liked. Cooking and gym. Anything aside from it was something she didn't like, besides perhaps lunch, so she was relieved that in the morning she only had to deal with two classes she disliked. Though, due to that, the afternoon was very dull. Reluctantly, she went to history and endured the class, hoping for gym to be able to relieve her stress the next period.

Aoi Kazuya 06-10-2010 11:12 PM

Art was fairly easy. The teacher had been absent so Cross had decided to take a nap. Aki had spent the time sketching his napping friend. By he end of the period he had moved on to shading. Now he was trying to get Cross to model for him again. "You would make the perfect model Cross!" Cross rolled his eyes and waved him off. "Don't we have a physical education class to get to?"

Juneberry 06-10-2010 11:41 PM

When history ended, relief made it into Chloe's head. Finally another class she was good with! As she packed her bag up and was ready, she ran to the gym and into the girl's locker room to change into her track uniform, minus the usual jersey. Done with that, she went to start stretching before class actually started.

Aoi Kazuya 06-10-2010 11:52 PM

After stepping into the boys changing room Cross and Aki met up with a third friend. Aki and the other guy walked off to the other end of the changing room, laughing as they went. Cross shook his head before going to his own locker and placing his bag into it, shirking off his jacket and placing that in before grabbing his gym clothes, which consisted of a pair of black basketball shorts with red accents and a blood red t-shirt. He placed these on the bench beside him and sat down, waiting for the others to finish and leave before quickly changing. There were some things better left unknown and he didn't want the others to see the scars/bruises that adorned his back.

After he was done and he stepped out of the changing rooms two pairs of arms landed on his shoulders, "Finally done princess?" Marth teased from Cross left. Aki laughed heartily on Cross' right. Cross shrugged both of their arms off and continued walking. His choice in clothing made his naturally pale skin seem even paler and he seemed to glow with an ethereal light under the gym lights. Besides that, he was thin, mostly lean muscle.

Juneberry 06-11-2010 12:24 AM

Chloe was interrupted by her track coach, also the gym teacher, from her stretches. "Kitski, take a break will ya? We need you functioning at the meet..."

"That's why I'm stretching, coach. If I don't, I'll have trouble after class." Smiling, she watched the coach walk away. There was no arguing with Chloe when it came to her exercises, it had always seemed, but he liked to try anyway.

She noted as Cross walked out of the boy's locker room. I never realized he was in this class. Huh... I'll give him the cake in a little bit then. She smiled, checking on her bag to make sure the cake was in tact.

Aoi Kazuya 06-11-2010 01:15 AM

The gym teacher walked over to the trio and 'tsk'ed. While he was nice to the athletes in the class like Chloe, Cross noted, he was quite evil to the slackers. Cross drowned out the teachers lecture with his own thoughts. He was pulled back to Earth when Aki smacked him on the back, "Come on, we better start stretching or we're gonna be in a world of pain later." Cross nodded and the trio started their stretches a moment later.

Juneberry 06-11-2010 10:15 PM

As the athletic teams were joining their own little groups, Chloe was one of the few to ignore it. Rather than joining the rather large group of track-team members, Chloe was working solo during class, wanting to improve on her own. So, rather then paying any heed, she simply began to do some laps around the gym, however tripped rather early due to her natural clumsiness. "Why do people say I'm good at running if I can't keep from tripping over my own two feet?"

Aoi Kazuya 06-12-2010 03:37 AM

Aki suddenly burst out laughing and Cross looked up from his stretches to see what had made his friend laugh. "You should have seen that. She just tripped and fell flat on her face!" he chuckled, pointing to a now very familiar girl lying sprawled on the ground. Cross rolled his eyes as he stood up, "Go get a life." he muttered before walking over to the girl that had fallen rather close to his group. He blinked at her form for a moment before holding out his hand, "Need help?"

A moment later he found himself knocked to the ground with a rather buff looking guy standing in front of him threateningly. Cross tilted his head as he looked up, "Ah..." It was the star of the boys track team...Arthur or something like that. Aki and Marth were instantly by Cross' side, glaring daggers at the much bigger boy. Arthur only laughed loudly and sneered at the thinner boys in front of him, "What are you trying to do? Scare me? As if a bunch of wussy pretty boys can do anything." he scoffed. Aki took a step forward but was stopped by Marth's hand on his shoulder, he looked back to see the glasses wearing blue haired boy shaking his head no. The short tempered red head growled but turned and helped Cross to his feet, noticing as one of Cross' hands darted to his back. Aki and Marth both shared a look before taking a defensive stance in front of their friend.

Juneberry 06-12-2010 06:52 PM

Chloe managed onto her feet, glaring at Arthur herself. It was a very mixed mood whenever the two were near each other- while Arthur seemed to always think he was helping 'protect' Chloe, Chloe just found him to be a nuisance causing her problems more than help. "Stop being an idiot, Arthur." Her voice was a grumble. "He was trying to be polite, unlike you."

As one of the girls from the girl's part of the track team ran over to see if Chloe was okay, she was immediately uneasy from seeing the two of them at all near each other. "Relax. He's just being dumb." She pat Chloe's back gently. "You didn't get much sleep last night, did you? You've fallen down at least five times since school started..." Chloe sighed and nodded in defeat. She'd been up all night studying as she'd had to work late at the bakery. She grumbled, looking at Arthur again.

"Exactly. That's why I don't have the patience for him at all." Smiling, she waved over to Cross very briefly. "Thanks again for your help this morning. I have a gift for you later... Hopefully you don't mind sweets." With that, she fled from the scene, starting her laps again. The girl near to her had sighed immediately.

Aoi Kazuya 06-12-2010 10:12 PM

Cross blinked again, "Ah..." He turned and then started in the other direction. Marth and Aki immediately followed him, not even sparing Arthur another look as they jogged after their friend. Behind them Arthur growled and turned before following after Chloe.

"Man, you always get into trouble with them." Aki groaned as he watched Cross picking out a handball from the small pile. "I suppose..." Cross murmured before tossing the ball he held at Marth. The boy caught it and bounced it a few times, "This ones good." Cross nodded and dropped the rest of the balls, before indicating a free wall with his head, "Reay for a rematch Aki? Marth?" Aki grinned, "You are so going down this time." Cross chuckled, "I doubt it."

Juneberry 06-13-2010 02:02 AM

((Hope you don't mind I brought a random friend in. I felt out of place letting you play all the extras y'know?))

Chloe's friend, Melissa, eventually ran after her and only caught up with her when she was taking a break from her sprint. "You know, you really do work way too hard, Chloe..."

"I can't improve if I don't work hard, can I, Melissa?" Chloe looked at her friend with a frown, who then just giggled, noting that those words were just what she expected. "I know I push a little too hard sometimes, but it's not like I just run to run all the time. Sometimes I use it to get past something that's bugging me. Like Arthur." The two girl's laughed. Arthur was a nuisance to her, so that comment couldn't have been avoided.

Aoi Kazuya 06-13-2010 02:10 AM

((no worries ^^ it's all good XD))

Aki served first, it was long. "I'm just not warmed up yet." he said loudly. Cross laughed along with Marth. Aki served again. This time it was short. The redhead pouted as he moved aside for the blue head to serve. Marth smirked before serving perfectly. Cross dashed forward to receive it and the game was on.

By the end Cross was winning, marth came in a close second and Aki...well he was dead last. "Maa, bad luck. Maybe next time neh 'Ki?" Marth asked, smacking the tired red head on the back. Cross smiled softly at his friends antics and then rubbed unconsciously at his back again. The fall from earlier had irritated his wounds a lot more than he had realized.

Juneberry 06-13-2010 02:34 AM

Melissa had watched the game between the three, smiling. She then looked at her friend, who stood doing more stretches. A twinkle fell into the red-headed girl's eyes as she looked at her over-working blond friend. "They look like they were having fun. We should ask to join them next time!"

"I'm horrible at those types of games, Melly. You know that..."

"You won't improve if you don't work on it! Practice makes perfect, remember?" Chloe sighed, defeated. "I'll talk about it to them later. I have to give 'im cake anyway."

"Right. That guy, right?" Melissa pointed at Cross. Chloe nodded, smiling. "It's nice that you made cake for him in class. But why don't you just give it to him now?" Chloe looked at her questioningly, but then nodded, running over to him and tapping his shoulder very lightly.

"'Scuse me again."
