"Fantasy section it is. Luckily, it's right nearby." He grinned as he read the signs, taking a few steps ahead of her before smiling to her, a hand held out. "Shall we go look?"
Erika smiled, and took it. 'Yes, let's.'
Chuckling, he happily head towards the section in question, letting go of her so she had both hands able to look. "There seems to be some interesting stuff here, so I'll be nearby- not that it matters too much. But just felt a need to annoy you with it."
Erika chuckled. 'I'll find you if I need you,' she said, turning to the shelves.
Smiling in return, Joseph went to another area in the same section, seeking various tales of myth and adventure. "Hm...I've heard about this one..." He lifted a book with a dragon on the cover. It was a thin book, seemingly only a hundred or so pages. "It's small since it's for kids, but somehow Mimi talked me into getting interested..."
Erika smiled. She took a book off the shelf and handed it to him. 'Try that one as well. It's also for young readers, but adults can enjoy it, too.'
Joseph took a look at the book handed to him, reading the back, then looking at the first few pages with a skimming glance. "Hm...Does seem interesting. I might have to try this one." He closed it to look at her. "Have you read this one before, Erika?"
Erika smiled. 'All nine books in the series.'
((Gak! Sorry I'm so late ;-;))
"That's a lot of books. Might take a while...I like that idea." He grinned, reading a page for curiosity's sake. "How did you find this series?" |
(It's all right ^^ The book series is real, by the way. It's called Ranger's Apprentice.)
'Jay found it first,' Erika said. 'He passed it on to me. The fifth one had just been published then. Ever since, we've been buying the books and passing them back and forth between us whenever we wanted to read them.' |
((I never heard of it. Neat!))
"It's good that you share together like that. Cost effective and it gives you something to talk about afterward since you both know the books. Sounds like a fun little cycle you have there." |
Erika grinned. 'It happens when you're a twin.'
(Hehe. The ninth book really was amazing.) |
((Can you tell me more? Probably via PM or comment xD I'm curious :3))
"It could happen either way I'm sure. I have no twin siblings but I still do tend to have a similar bond with my own sister." |
'Yeah, but with twins, there's one of everything you guys get to share,' Erika said.
(Of course ^^) |
"I don't fully understand. But it's nice that you get along well."
'Oh, everyone thinks that just because you're twins, you two can share everything so they don't have to get two,' Erika said. 'It can be annoying sometimes.'
"We did that a lot whether we were twins or not at the orphanage. I think in the end it really depends on how close you are as siblings in general...Even the closest siblings can't share everything, of course."
'You can do it for years with identical twins,' Erika said, 'but it gets a bit awkward for opposite-sex twins once they enter puberty.'
"Guess that makes sense. Eh, some things are just confusing, I guess." He laughed, taking the book he was holding and closing it. "I'll be buying this, I think..."
Erika chuckled. She looked back at the shelves before taking a book down and looking at the back.
"Did something catch your interest? I'm curious as to what it is."
Erika held the book up. 'I've heard of it, but haven't gotten a chance to read it yet. I might as well check it out.'
(No particular book in mind this time XD) |
((Okay xD))
"That sounds like a good idea. If you were already interested in it, more reason to try it." |
Erika raised an eyebrow at him, but grinned. 'Is that everything, then?'
"I suppose so, if you feel you're set as well. Shall we go then?"
