"Damn" Lily muttered and threw the meat to the ground between the two cats. So much for plan A, now Aka was on the ground...if she had only waited anpther minute Lily could have made it out...oh well. She needed a new way to distract the real panther. Normally the saying is fight fire with fire, but i dont want our fire getting hurt...Fire...fire! Lily leaped down from the tree, folding and rolling to cut the impact. She scooped a stick out of the fire. It was only about the length of her hand. A bigger stick. She pulled out another one, and took the bulk of the flames with it. She had to get between the cats without being BETWEEN cats and quickly before Aka got injured. She gathered a handfull of twigs in one hand and was lighting them each on fire. The first she threw between the animal and her friend, the second she hit it on the back with, singing the fur where it hit. "Plan 2.0", she called.

Hazel gasped and watched everyone, flinching and getting on all fours, as if prepared to help. Thoughts chased one another in her head. They were right. She couldn't go back home no matter how much she missed her mother and brother. She hoped her dad had been killed though and she growled. Sitting back down, she watched the fight, hoping it would end soon. Hazel wasn't sure there was much she could do. Howling out, the girl looked over at Lily. "Come here you dork! Aka can protect herself! You don't need to get hurt!" She called out loudly

The panther got angry as soon as it was burn, forcing it to jump and claw Aka across her chest before it ran away. Aka watched the Panther leave before returning to the fire. Completely ignoring the wound across her chest. She was breathing heavily and tired from that. Though she really didn't say anything at first. Giving herself a few minutes to regain her breath. "Thank you Lily." She said between breaths.

"Are you okay!?" Lily dropped her flaming sticks back into the fire and ran to see the wound on her chest and if it was major or minor. Then, she turned her attenion to Hazel. "Dork!? Did you want me to just stand there and watch as my friend got hurt instead? We're in it together now..."

Hazel seemed to growl. "No!" She barked, obviously offended. "But for hell's sake. Aka's a strong girl for starters. And second you could've been hurt. Plus, it was a territorial battle, having interference is like losing from the start." the female warned, curling herself into a tight ball. "I don't mean to sound so rash and mean but it's true. Animalisticly, we're all territorial and finding our own animal copy will bring that out in us and if we have interference...Well why bother trying to fight then?"

"Because humanly we are still us and could use eachother's help. And for the record had my original plan worked the fight would have never became a real fight in the first place.", she paused, "Besides, you're all territoial animals, but working off my own "animal instincts"", she made quotation marks with her fingers "i came from a domestic mouse, not something from the wild with its natural instincts fully in place, and mice are social animals anyway. I want that other company and will protect them. ...And what are you so offened for anyway? You're the one who called me the dork, i just responed to what you said!"

A soft snarl came from the wolf girl and she sighed. "You made me sound like I was heartless." She muttered, so low she wasn't sure the mouse girl could catch her words. Hazel stretched out and snuggled by the fire before speaking again. "Look, I didn't mean to snap. But the last thing we need is another person getting hurt. Especially our domestic friend." With her last sentence, Hazel looked at Lily with more of a soft, friendly expression. "I guess it made me angry because my own animalistic instincts went a bit offline."

Aka listened to the girls fight. "Girls.. Please. The others are sleeping." She said to them. Not getting evolved or picking a side, but hopefully it would make them stop fighting to say the least. She looked down at her chest, seeing the wound. She got up and walked towards the river nearby to wash it out. Luckily it was not very deep at all. And would stop itself after a while. Both of the girls were right any how.

Sighing, Hazel smoothed out her tail with a clawed hand and scrunched her face, standing up and leaping over to the bed of the truck, grabbing the berries out of it and scarfing them down. She'd only gotten a rabbit when she'd gone hunting earlier so the berries did a nice job topping her appetite off. Walking back to the fire, Hazel pursed her lips and lay on a patch of dried off moss making for a comfortable and somewhat warm bed for the night. Hazel perked her ears high, not planning on getting much sleep in case she had to lookout for the scientists, or maybe even poachers.

Jake had been sat there through the whole comosion frozen, then after a while he shook his head and stood up and smiled "i will do gaurd duty, i suppose i will have to start to put a effort towards the safety of this group"

Lily laid down in the pickup bed and curled into a little ball. She yawned but although she was tired she was wound for sound. She rtryed to roll on her back to watch the stars, but she couldn't see passed the trees and the pickup bed was hard on her back. Instead she curled back into he ball and with a sigh mummbled "I know what i'm doing most of tomorrow's car ride."

Eric was awoken by the fight. He woke up just after it had ended. He saw Aka walk off towards the river, seeing the wounds in her chest. Ignoring the others, Eric followed Aka to the river. "Aka, are you ok? Let me have a look at those wounds"

Aka looked up at him. Sitting on the ground. "Its not as bad it it looks. They aren't very deep at all." She told him. Continuing to wash the wounds.

Eric sat next to her. "That was a brave thing you did. I guess being part animal does have some benifits"

Aka looked away from him and towards the water. Thinking about what had just happened. "Funny thing is, I don't really remember it. It is all a blur." Aka told him. Finishing cleaning her new cuts. "Thank you though. a lot must be going threw your head right now. I'm worried about your mental state. Not in a I think you are crazy way, but.. Its hard to explain I guess."

"Oh? And why are you worried about my mental state? I only ask out of simple curiosity"

Aka took a deep breath, "Out of all of us, you probably are the most advanced. If the scientists want any of us it is you and whoever the mother is. Keeping that in mind, your going to be a father. With any of us. Well maybe not Jake." Aka said to him. She dipped her feet into the water a bit. "It is a lot to have on your plate. You know?"

Eric thought it over. He did appear to be the most advanced. But the prospect of being a father hadn't really dawned on him yet. "I just wish I knew who the mother was"

Aka watched his reaction a bit. She knew the in and outs of human pregnancy, but they were all animals too. "I wish I could help more, but it may also depend on the person. I do not know if it will be a regular human pregnancy or not. Some animals have a shorter gestation period than others..." Aka said thinking out loud. "Though I can imagine they would pick the most advanced female too. To me we are all about the same, but you tell me."

"Well, you seem very advanced. A standout from the other females. I just keep wondering, will my child have a human side? Or will it be all animal?"

Aka thought about what he said. What if it was her? She started to worry a bit. And if it was the perfect being, could they control it? She did not like the thought of any of them giving birth to a monster. She shook her head a bit. "We wont know until it comes out.." She said slowly.

Eric sighed. "Your right. I and whomever the mother is will just have to try and make sure that the child learns how to be human, rather than an animal"

"Yeah. Keep him or her away from humans also.." Aka added. She laid back a bit on the soft grass. "On the bright side, at least we aren't average every day joes any more.."

Jake walked around the camp for a bit and started to slowly get bored, so be began chucking rocks a far away trees, every time he hit one he wispered "whoohoo, what a shot"
