Shitiro leaped from her tree as she followed the sound of running water. She hadn't noticed it before but now she was noticing a lot of things. She wandered if it had anything to do with giving in to her animal counter part. She landed at a rather large flowing stream and whipped the blood from her mouth feathers and talons. She may be half animal now but she still had some civilized human left in her though not as much as she would like to have. She slowly made her way back to the others as she took a stance near Eric and the now named Aka panther woman. She loved her new hearing ability. She couldn't help herself as she began moving her feathers it was strange but she felt then need to she figured if she had a beak she would be using it instead of her hands it would make things easier she thought as she continued.

"A pleasure to meet you Aka. My name is Eric. Or at least, it used to be. I don't know what I am anymore" Eric moved his tail through the air, cracking it like a whip.

"Your still Eric of coarse. They didn't take our memories for some reason.." Aka said, thinking out loud while standing up a bit. She stood on her toes, but she could still stand up straight.

Eric helped Aka to stand up straight. "There has to be a reason this was done to us. Do you remember seeing any of the faces of the people who took us?"

Shitiaro's soft clear voice cut in as she spoke aloud. "I am sorry for my rudeness I am Shitiaro Lee." She said as she shifted her gaze to the pair as she smiled at them. "My only question is why us. What made us the perfect candidates for this experiment. Why let us keep our human side and not just convert us totally to animals. There is reasoning behind this and I plan on learning of it. "

Eric looked at Shitaro with a bit of shock. "I thought you weren't talking to me, because last time you flew off"

"I said no such thing did I sir?" Came her clam reply. She open her wings as she stretched them enjoying how free she felt now. "Unlike you I was focusing on the roof. It is rather fragile in parts if I could locate the main power line in it we may be able to plan and escape. If you are like me my human side is losing to the animal side very fast. I went to see if I could see the main power line. It is a electric operated door so if we cut the power we can manual open the doors on the roof. I am sorry if you felt I was rude." She said as she moved closer to him letting her tail feathers rub against his leg as she moved passed him. "There is a stream not fare from hear as well so you know."

"Show me. The water has to be coming in here somehow. If I can swim down and find the opening, I may be able to find a way out"

Shitiaro nodded as she turned and lead him among the trees. She walked rather slow as to not lose him. When she stopped they appeared at the streams banks. "It goes in both directions so even if you could find one opening it would be good. There are two one to let the water in and the other out. If you like I can take to the air and try to give you directions to where the openings may be."

"That's ok. I'm part lizard, and they can see underwater" Eric dove in and began swimming downstream. After awhile, he reached what he was searching for, a round opening, big enough to fit through. But as Eric tried to pass trhough it, he was violently eletricuted. He floated to the surface unconcious.

Shitiaro waited for what seemed like hours for Erick to resurface and come back with news. She open her massive wings and leaped into the air after a while unable to stand not knowing where he was or if he was ok. She was flying low to the ground when she spotted him floating in the water unconscious. She dove down and picked him up with her arms as she let out a few curse words due to his weight. She wasn't use to flying with such weight yet. She gently landed on the rocks as she placed her hand on his head to see if he was ok then placed her ear or what use to be her ear near his chest as she lessened to his heart.

Eric slowly opend his eyes. For a moment, he thought he was looking at an angel. "The pathway is electic. Some sort of invisible barrier" he said in a low voice. His body still ached from being shocked.

Shitiaro nodded as she gently held him in him in her arms and wrapped her wings around him to provide him with some much needed heat. The light was faded and she knew him being a reptile he needed heat. "Well there goes that idea we should have seen that coming. So even if I did get the roof open there will be a electrical barrier over it I beat as well. The main thing is you are alive and safe for now. You need to rest while your body repairs it's self. I am sorry there is not medical drug for electric shocks."

Eric chuckled a little. "I'm half lizard now, I can regrow limbs. Being eletricuted isn't that big of a deal" Eric could feel the warmth from Shitaro flowing through his body. "So what did you do on the outside, when you were human?"

Shitiaro smiled as she thought about her life before this. "I was a pharmacist. I had once worked with the government in one of their labs with my PHD in Biology but that got old after a while. They wanted to hurt people not treat them. So I came home and started a pharmacy and I have been working there ever since. What about you what was your job?"

"I was a building manager. I managed to work my way up from being a janiter through tons of hard work. I always got praise for my hard work"

Shitiaro smiled as she lessened to him. "The best kind of job. One that you worked hard to earn. " She said as she admired him and laughed. "Glad to know there are those who like to work."

Eric stood up once he was feeling better. "Well, it was my job. I doubt they'll hire lizard people"

"I doubt they would hire any of us now. But you are still a good person if that counts for anything." Shitiaro said as she folded her wings about her. She kept quite as she wandered what to do.

Lily had only watched when the others got their food. No grain was thrown down. Am I to eat grass? No! Look! Berries!. Lily scampered off to get her fill on mulberries off a near by bush. The others talked about an escape through a stream, and left, except the panther who was still eating. A stream.... Lily followed them down to the stream and had gone the way opposite of Eric hoppfully without being noticed. When she came to the end she inspected it for traps, by throwing a stick through. It was quickly zapped with what looked like fake lightning. Electric zappers? Pretty snazzy.... She then picked out a nice sized log and did her best to drag it to the edge of the stream, she was able to slowly thaks to highschool weight rooms and new rodent muscles. She foced it in and it floated there being zapped and eventually catching fire. She then took another stick and threw it through the break in the eleric current. It passed almost getting hit by one of the off branching currents, but not quite. If that could get through...but a person would never fit. She sat and pondered the idea before heading off to the other end to see if Eric discovered the same and what idea he may have had for it.

Aka sat upon the rocks, bathing in the sun as the others talked about their past. She rolled on her back, completely and strangely comfortable just being in the sun.

Eric walked up to Aka and laid next to her on a hot rock. "You do know that this is just an artifical sun, don't you?"

Aka opened her eyes up and looked up at him. "Yeah, but it's still warm." She explained slightly to him.

"So what did you do, when you were human?" Eric asked.

"I was going to school to become a nurse." she said to him. "I also worked part time in a restaurant."
