Katie got her things together and brushed her bangs out of her face, heading back down the stairs only to run into Ace."I'm sleeping on the couch.." She said, taking her things into the living room and sitting them on the couch. She shut the door that led into the living room, though it didn't have a lock. She sat down putting her hand on her head and sighing deeply.

Lydia frowned, what she had done was low but she couldn't tell him this..or deal with his questions.

He frowned. "Katie, do you really think I'd go after her when I Just told you that I wouldn't??" he called after her before following her, opening the door to the living room. He'd shot another glare at the door to Lydia's room before he went inside. Ace looked at her, not going too close just in case she was going to start yelling. He was ticked off even more that she'd believed the cook more than his word. Sure, the kiss happened, but it wasn't his doing. "Why would I kiss her when I have you?" he asked.

Katie sat up."Well its kind of convenient that you were gone when I came back from the shower and you were following Lydia around like a dog." She said, sitting her head back on the pillow."Did you guys kiss?" She questioned."I know Lydia says you kissed her but i'm guessing she kissed you as well." She said, closing her eyes."I'm not mad just..why didn't you tell me you liked Lydia?" She asked, patting the couch seat by her.

Ace rolled his eyes. "I didn't kiss her willingly. She came onto me as a distraction." he retorted before frowning. "And I do not like her." He moved to sit next to her before offering her a small smirk. "As for the lost dog thing, I resent that. I was going after her to ask her why the hell she kissed me, and about the room. She was in it. She also took the box of letters." he said, thinking about it. The girl was hiding something. He had a key to the room too. So he could just go in there.

"She was in the room?"She asked, standing up."So she kissed you?" She said, rolling up her long sleeves, angry now."Oh well, just leave her alone and lets go back upstairs before I take that key and have a nice chat with her.." She said sarcastically, grabbing her bag and putting it on her arm."I'm sorry.."

Ace smirked a little before nodding. "Yeah, to both. Though, I'd prefer it if we had a nice long chat with her now." he admitted, standing up before shaking his head at her apology. "Don't worry about it. Next time, just, try and believe me." he said, taking the bag from her and heading to the door.

She kissed Ace and grinned."And this is why I like you." She said, leading him to Lydias door."Wheres the key?" She asked, leaning against the wall.

Ace kissed her back before holding up a finger, heading to his room quickly to get the key. He grabbed the key from the drawer and came back to stand by Katie's side. "Alright got it." he said, smirking as he held up the key, giving it to Katie. "After you." he told her, stepping back a little to give her access to the door.

Katie smirked and unlocked the door,stepping inside."Why the hell did you kiss Ace?!" She yelled at Lydia, stepping back to let Ace do some talking.

Lydia jumped."Get out of my room, I didn't kiss Ace."

Ace raised an eyebrow as he also entered the room. "Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure that I sure as hell didn't kiss you." he stated, his eyes narrowed.

Lydia went for the door but Katie stepped in front of it."Get our or i'll call your father Ace. And i'll talk to yours as well Katie."She said, glaring and kicking the box of letters under her bed.

"Your going to threaten me with my father?" She said, about to go over and hit the girl."Just leave Ace alone."

Ace raised an eyebrow, closing the door behind him and locking it. "Who's my father going to believe? His son, or one of the help? Just cause he likes you doesn't mean he's going to listen." he said, glaring at her. "How about I tell him about you and my brother?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He didn't really know too much, but he always knew they had a thing for each other. Just, not the details. She didn't know that though. He noticed her kick the letters under her bed and he stepped over to her, bending down and snatching the box. "Why are you hiding this?" he asked.

"Because there mine!" Lydia said, tears in her eyes."Please go." She said, looking towards Katie."Or i'll tell your father that shes pregnant and its not your baby." She said, knowing that being the cook came in handy if she wanted to know gossip. You could hear everything in the house from the kitchen because of the vents.

Katie looked at Ace, frowning.

Ace raised an eyebrow. "It's yours?" he asked. That would make sense. At that threat he glared at her. He was about to say something but decided better of it. He noticed Katie's look and he rolled his eyes. "Don't fuck with us. You tell him that and I'll have ways to get you back you won't be able to see it coming." he threatened. He knew it wasn't very nice, but he never was nice. Just to the ones he cared about, and didn't piss him off. Threatening him, was one sure fire way to get him pissed. He looked at Katie, raising an eyebrow in question, as if asking if she had anything else to add.

Lydia frowned."Fine, I won't say anything..just leave." She said, ushering them ot and then shutting the door.

Katie smirked, taking his hand."Thank you." She said, kissing him and taking her bag from him."Lets go upstairs.." She said, starting to lead him up.

He nodded, heading out the door with Katie before stopping. "..I still need to pick up the bags we left in the room." he said, almost groaning. He'd forgotten about them with all of this. He looked down at her and raised an eyebrow. "Wanna go with me? Just in case another girl tries to kiss me?" he asked, his tone slightly playful.

Katie smirked."Sure, but the only girl that will be kissing you is me. And after were married I won't be afraid to throw punches.." She said, leading him back towards the hallway where the stone was."So what exactly happened? Was she down there when you got there?"

He nodded, looking down to the box he still held. "Yeah, I was going to get the bags when I saw her. I asked how she knew of the place." he explained before tilting his head and going in the passageway once it opened. "She said she was waiting for me, and then kissed me before I could ask about the box or about the room." he said, shrugging before smirking. "I'd like to see that, you punching a girl cause she kissed me." he said.

Katie grinned."I will next time that happens.." She said, going into the passageway."If theres a next time." She said, leading him to the end of the passageway and then jumping down."We can't even read the letters so I wonder why shes freaking out." She said softly.

Ace shrugged, jumping down after her and moving towards the bags. "I don't know. Maybe cause she thinks we can decipher them or something. But, my guess is that she was the lover of whomever the letters were to." he commented, going back to her side. "Or maybe her mother." He wasn't sure, but she said the letters were hers.

"Probably. But she looks nothing like the girl in the painting..and the painting has the same initials on it as the letters." She said, yawning a little and running a hand threw her wet hair."Its cold down here.." She shivered, going closer to him and starting to go back towards the exit.

He wrapped an arm around her shoulder as they headed back down the passageway. "Well, we'll figure it out later." he said, shrugging. It was possible that she was related, or something. "We'll go back to the room now, and sleep." he said, feeling slightly tired.

Katie led him threw the passage way and then up the steps to his room."Well we better get to bed since were getting married tomorrow." She smirked, getting under the covers and turning her lamp off. She laid her head on her pillow and waited for him to get in bed.

He lifted the covers and climbed on the bed as well, shifting to make himself more comfortable. "True. Today was pretty long." he said, smirking before giving her a small kiss. "Good night."
