The sky was a perfect rendition of a watercolor painting. Blues and purples, yellows and oranges, lit up the evening, afternoon sky, the sun due to set within the hour.

Walking along in silence, a young woman tossed her red blonde hair over her shoulder, sighing. She enjoyed work, but she still was exhausted. She looked forward to going to her small little home and making herself some soup. Another ordinary day, another long treck home.

In an abandoned building, not far from where the girl stood, a dark form stands in the shadows of the building, hiding from the sun. A pair of deep purple eyes were trained on her as the form waited for the sky to grow darker and be able to hide his form. The form belonged to a man that stood over six foot tall with long not quite black hair wearing a black trench coat over his muscular form. 'Come on, you infernal ball of fire. Become the moon so I may take the girl.' He thought as he scowled and watched her walk along the street.

Shivering as the wind grew colder, the female cursed softly. Why did the sun have to set so fast? Her eyesight left much to be desired, and the dark would not help her any. Hurrying her pace, the female decided to not waste any more time and rush towards her home, boots thudding against the side street. For some reason, she felt particularly uneasy as of late, and for all her inner reassurances and her logical arguments, she could not shake off the eerie sensation.

The man smiled as the sun set finally and jumped from the building before landing on the roof of the building next to it. His eyes stayed on the woman with bright red hair as he ran faster than a normal human should. But that was the thing. Behrouz hadn't been human for six hundred forty-two years since he was changed by a female vampire looking for company. He was now doing the same thing since she died recently before his eyes. The lone vampire jumped down into the alley before her and hid there before he sprang from the alley and stood infront of her.

Starting to relax, seeing her street come up, the female slowed her pace as her tense muscles eased themselves and her heart stopped racing, only to gasp and cry out in surprise when a man suddenly appeared before her. Jumping back, Samara eyed the stranger warily, wondering what he was doing, and why he was suddenly preventing her from moving forward.

"E-Excuse me, I don't mean to be rude, but I'm in a hurry to go home, so, could you please move?" She attempted, trying to walk around him lest he not be of kind or sane mindset.

His eyes stayed on her as he punched the brick building to his right to keep her from going around him. Behrouz looked at her as he let her see his face under his dark hair that was on the long side. "I can not let you pass." He said as he took a step towards her as he kept his deep purple eyes on her. The man reached out to touch her as his face remained neutral. With the smell of human blood near, it was hard to keep his fangs from showing so he didn't scare the woman anymore.

Samara jumped back, avoiding his hands, frowning and trying to hide her trepidation. "You WILL let me pass sir, now get away from me!" Keeping her eyes focused, the female shrunk back a but, stunned at his cool, unrestrained punching of a brick wall. This man...he was dangerous....Whoever this individual was, she needed to get away, and fast.

Behrouz walked towards her and reached for her again as he looked into her eyes. "I will not take orders from you, woman." His eyes narrowed as he pulled his hand from the brick wall and it was not broken nor bloody. "Come with me." He said as he kept his fangs from showing because if she saw those, he knew she would never join him.

Eyes widening in shock, Samara tried to fathom what was happening. Who was this man, and what..what was up with his hand? Was she dreaming? Halucinating? This was not normal, and Samara did her best to keep a stright face. "N-no I won't. Who are you? Why should I come?" The teal eyed female backed away, ready to run.

He saw her stance and looked at her face as he smiled. "If you dare to run you should know, no human has ever outrun me." Behrouz cracked his knuckles as he kept his eyes on her. "My name is Behrouz and I would only like to talk to you. I will not hurt you." His eyes on her as he stepped closer to her.

"I-I don't believe you! Why can we not talk here? I need to get home..I have people waiting for me!" Samara hoped he'd buy her story. If a criminal thought they'd get found out, they'd not likely follow through or risk it, she hoped he was the same. Shaking her head, the female eyed Behrouz suspiciously, her mind telling her to run. "Leave m-me be."

His eyes glance at the house for a moment as he stepped closer to her. "There is no one there." He said as he offered her his hand. Behrouz was not a criminal because he had never killed anyone that wasn't trying to kill him first. The lone man hid his fangs as he watched her noticing her heartbeating faster in fear. "I swear on my heart, that I will not harm you."

Damn. He was a smart one. Samara gulped, glancing at the strange male before her with trepidation and uncertainty. "Why can we not talk here..if you say that is all you wish to do?" the young woman shifted nervously, trying to figure the male out.

Behrouz looked at her and noticed that he had been followed. "Because it is dangerous here." His eyes on her as a gang of vampire started to crawl out from the dark areas. He scowled as the bloody thristy monsters started to surround them. "Do not let them bite you. If they bite you, you will die." The man moved closer to her as he growled at them and bared his fangs.

"W-what the hell is going on?! Who are you?" Samara gasped, seeing rather fierce looking individuals approaching them. Taking a step back, she decided it best to get away from all of the strangers. Turning, she looked for an escape route, but froze, realizing she was surrounded. Without realizing it fully, she scooted closer to Behrouz.

The man wrapped an arm around her waist as he looked at her. "Hold onto me." He said before he jumped out of the reach before the other vampires could grab either of them. Behrouz jumped onto a roof as some of the vampires started to follow them. His hand held her tightly as he manuvered around objects in his way. But he did not slow down because he did not want the human woman to get hurt by those beasts.

Having no choice but to obey at this point, the redhead clung to the male, squeezing her eyes shut as he sped off, taking her to who knows where. Every so often, she peeked over his shoulder and saw if hey were being followed, they were. Once, one of the blood sucking individuals came close enough to sink their teeth into her hand, and almost did. Striking the top of their head as hard as she could, Samara managed to avoid the bite of the closest enemy.

He eventually lost them and took her back to the abandoned building where he made his own aparment. Behrouz carried her in and set her down on the couch as he lit some candles so she could see his apartment. There was a lot going on, he had paintings on the walls, rugs on the hard wood floors, and he had furniture for a living room and his bedroom. It had all the utilities, mostly 'stolen' but that was so he wouldn't get harassed by the humans.

Behrouz walked over and started to make tea as he walked back over to her. "Are you alright? Any scrapes or bites?" He asked before he sat down in front of her.

Looking around his apartment, the female finally sat down, trying to calm her active nerves and relax. The smell of tea made it's way to her nose, and the sound of the man's voice prompted her to look up into his, admittedly, handsome face. "I'm....ok, thanks..." she murmured, letting her eyes scan her surroundings. "Nice apartment..."

"What is it you..needed to talk to me about?" she finally ventured to ask.

He sat down across from her and seemed to smile with relief as she said she was alright. Behrouz looked at her as he cleared his throat a little and started to speak to her. "As I said before, my name is Behrouz. I am older than all humans for a simple fact. I am a vampire. But not like the ones who were following us. I have never killed a human and never actually commited a crime." The calm man waited for her reaction as the kettle whistled letting him know the water was ready for their tea.

His movements were that of a normal human as he soon brought over two cups of tea, the kettle, a bowl of lemon, a bottle of honey, a pitcher of milk, and a cup of sugar over to them since he didn't know how she wanted her tea. "This will help you calm down before I tell you more."

Swallowing hard, the young woman watched the vampire, eyes wide, but otherwise no sign of shock or fear. True, she was anxious and wary, but Samara couldn't help but feel some comfort at the fact he wanted to help her it seems.

At the mention of the tea calming her, she frowned, pursing her lips. "It's not spiked or drugged, is it?" looking at it, it was clear she was tempted. A little honey, and perfect! "I know you're being nice, but I'm not one to trust easily, human or otherwise..." she explained, watching the vampire.

"The tea is not drugged." He said as he sipped his tea with milk, sugar, and honey before he set it down and looked at her. Behrouz nodded as he sat there watching her with his deep purple eyes. "I understand that but I do hope you come to trust me." His voice soft and kind as he felt her watching him as he continued. "The reason I wanted to talk to you is going to sound strange to you but I owe you some answers. I am looking for a female companion and I wanted to ask you." The vampire said casually before sipping more of his tea.

Behrouz waited for her to run, strike him, or faint at what he just asked her. His eyes closed as he sipped more of his tea.

Feeling slightly better as he drank the tea himself, the young woman poured some honey into her tea and stirred it, sipping it and deeming it perfect. Silently sipping the warm beverage, Samara felt her eyes widen, her body grow tense, and her face begin to burn a light pinkish red hue in her cheeks. After a moment of silence, she tentatively answered.
"I-if you mean like a friend, I am more than willing to try and make friends with someone like yourself. I-if you mean companionship as in something else.....well..I cannot agree to something like that...especially not on a whim or just like that."
