Taken aback by the kiss he seemed to be a bit stunned so it took him a bit to come back form floating with ecstasy. “What… oh yah that was a good wake up, cold but good.” Reaching out he touched Fates lips with his finger. Letting it rest there he blinked. “ummmm yah today I would like to tell my boss what a prick he is and then see my mother. If you can think of somewhere that I once said I wanted to go to along the way but have forgotten now we could stop there too.”

"Why thank you, love." Fate smiled, then seemed a bit embarrassed that he had forgotten about what Sam had said he wanted to do on that day the previous night."Ah, right, i almost forgot..Afterwards, would you like me to take you to see Anubis and the pyramids?He could give you a tour of them, much better than a human tour guide, as he actually saw it all.."

“If we have time…” getting up he looked down at his clothes. “Thanks for not trying to undress me and put me into my pajamas even if I do usually wear them. I don’t think I could have taken that.” Going over to his closet he pulled out a pressed button up shirt, vest, slacks and the jacket. “do you want me to wear the jacket or no?” he held up the outfit so that Fate could see it against him. “Also do you mind packing all my other outfits I like while I take a shower. I think I want to go out to eat today.”

"I was tempted, but I knew I'd get slapped if you woke up midway through." Fate chuckled, and stood. "Without, I think you look cuter that way..Sure, I can, although I'm depressed you won't let me join you." He pouted a bit but then smiled widely, showing that he was joking. "Just kidding.I know you're probably not ready for things like that."

“You should know that I would not wake up. I am to deep a sleeper but that does not mean you can undress me as I sleep.” Sam pulled down a wooden trunk for his clothes. It was one of those ones that stand on end and you opened to hang your suits in. “I did not think that you would need to take a shower yet.” He smiled at fate. “if I am still in the shower when you’re done I would not mind your help with my back.”

"Oh, I can do it very quickly, actually." Fate said, snapping his fingers, which filled the trunk with all of Sam's favorites. "I can't do that often, but I never need to use it very often..It's there to make my moving from place to place each month a ton easier..Can I join you, then?" He said, fiddling with the hem of his shirt now as if he was about to pull it off. "If you aren't ready for me to see you like that yet, I can go take a shower in my apartment."

Laughing Sam watched him move all his stuff. “I should have known you could do that.” He slipped off his shirt and sighed as he stood there in his pants. “Can you also get us a breakfast reservation for that really expensive place down at the end of the block without killing any one?” he walked to the door of the bath room. “I did say I would not mind help with my back, that means I don’t mind you coming in.”

"Of course, I can do it under your name." Fate smiled, snapping his fingers again. "Oh, how did that name get there on the reservation list I have no idea." He laughed, and pulled his shirt off, setting it on the bed and following Sam. "I'll try not to stare TOO much.. your gorgeous eyes should help me keep my focus." He kissed Sam's cheek and wrapped his arms around his chest. "Love you."

Shivering at the contact Sam sighed. “You’re a naughty gutter minded man and I love you.” Turning around Sam returned Fates hug. Slowly his hands ran down Fates back and pulled him close. “I am not ready for anything as close as I think your gutter mind is thinking but I do love your touch.” He knew that he would have to watch how long they held each other for if Fate let him he would kill himself in his loves hands.

"I get that way when I'm very happy, I get playful.I wouldn't do anything to you that you wouldn't want, I'm not like that.I'd never wish harm to come upon you, although that is sort of the reason I'm here.. " Fate chuckled lightly. "Your entire chest must be numb..Let's get in the shower alright?You can love on me then with your sweet warm touch..Time is of the essence.If you don't see Anubis today or tonight, I'll take you first thing tomorrow..Although we might need to wake him up, then, he sleeps rather late into the morning."

Stepping back Sam sighed. His breath feeling a bit odd in his numbed chest. “yah its gotten that way, it feels kind of odd you know?” he gently touched his chest. “not like anything I have ever felt but I know if I stayed there too long it would have been my lungs and heart that would not be working not just the feelings in my skin.” Turning back to the bath room he walked in and started the shower and slowly stripped off the rest of his clothes. His body was muscled even if he did look skinny and tall. “I don’t mind waiting for a bet to see Anubis. I would also like to see London and Japan.”

"The heart goes first, it's merciful that way, dying by suffication is terrible I've heard.." Fate followed Sam into the bathroom and blushed as he saw him strip himself down.Sam surely was quite a bit more healthy looking than he was, he wasn't super thin but you could make out his ribs a bit.Fitting, as the Grim Reaper is personified as a skeleton. "Wow, you're actually more toned than me." He chuckled, pulling his pants off and getting into the shower with Sam. "We might meet Dad then, he's in London this month. I don't know the death gods of Asia too well, as my jurisdiction is North America and Europe.."

Smiling Sam ran his finger tip that had no feeling down Fates ribs. “Well it did feel kind of weird to have my lungs breathing and be numb. Makes you notice them.” as the numbness passed the dead never ending sam moved it away from Fate and shook it. “Ok that is the weirdest feeling so for.” Backing up he reached behind him and turned on the shower head. Cold water sputtered down on them. The pipes in the walls creaked and clanged as the hot water tried to move quickly through them. “Is your dad nice or no?”

"I wouldn't know what that felt like, and I never will..My own touch doesn't effect me.Other reapers' touch does, but it's not as intense of a feeling as you can get." Fate said, watching Sam.He was good, keeping his eyes above sam's waist for a good portion of the time. "Imagine me if I had lived since day one of the universe.We look similar and act similar, but he's much wiser..He's also where Grim got his sense of humor, though..It doesn't show as much in him thankfully.You'll get used to Grim..I doubt it'll be easy to get him to say sorry for what he did to you, but he's not a bad guy really, just a bit obnoxious at times.His ego likes to go through the roof.."

“it a petty you will not feel what I feel, but if I become a Reaper you will feel some of what I have been feeling?” reaching up he pulled his shampoo down he handed it to Fate. “would you like to use this, or should I fine the other stuff?” he turned and smiled at Fate. “how did you find out all about me?”

Fate nodded. "I would, your touch would feel like mine.A bit lighter due to it just being numbing, not numbing and eventually killing, but it's nearly the same..That'll be fine." Fate smiled and took the shampoo, lathering up his hair before handing the bottle back to Sam as the next question was asked.

"We have scouts who find out things..Like a private investigator of sorts.They only do that when a main mission is coming up for a person, you haven't been watched all your life.They could be a neighbour, a coworker, anyone..Anyone that's come into your life within the range of last month could be your scout.They like the form of a young child or teen, more innocent, more able to get into small places.They're reapers who have lost their mortal identity entirely and were not able to recover it, or sometimes that fluctuating appearane is caused by a mental illness in life, which would cause them to have the mind of a child, loss of memory or identity problems..There are two types of them: Death's Cherubs and the ones I've described. The first are children who died and became a reaper, pretty much reapers-in-training, and the seond are the ones I described before..Gwyn was a Death's Cherub..He got horribly traumatized when he was alive, lost all emotion and sensitivity..He forgot what happened though I think, whenever I ask he says it's not important and he changes the subject, which isn't like him at all."

Taking the bottle back Sam smiled. “Then I guess that is another reason that I should become a reaper.” As he worked the shampoo into his hair he smiled at Fate. “At what time do you make the reservations for breakfast? I just don’t want to be late, they are always full it takes months to get in there for a breakfast and if you miss it then it is a couple of months till the next opening. You can’t have two reservations within a month unless there were no one wanting to get in.” stepping into the fall of the water he leaned back and washed out the shampoo. As he stood back up Fate could see bits and spots of soap.
“So you’re telling me that cute little girl up in D3 is a spy for you?” Sam said as he reached for body wash. He really did not like the bar soaps but did not like the manly body soap. “no wonder she was always asking questions of me. I always wounded about that.”

Fate nodded. "They'd start you off with a partner, likely me or Charon, and you wouldn't really get your own missions but you'd tag along and see how everything works..You missed some there, Sam." He said, gently pulling Sam back under the water and helping get the rest of the shampoo out of his hair. "D3..Aah, must be the new girl.I forget her name, she was one of mine. She was an orphan, she got very very sick and I had her as a main mission..I spent a month with her under the guise of a male nurse, most little children, especially girls, tend to scream when they see me for what I am, but she just gave me a big smile and took my hand, I was surprised.She's from last month, she figured out to hide her german accent and speak english pretty fast..She'll make a good reaper someday."

“thanks.” He relaxed into Fates gentle hands. “so can I ask for the one that I want for my partner?” holding out his soap Sam smiled. “do my back up?” turning he smiled. “you know she still has a hint of an accent, but it is the cuties thing for her. Makes it really hard to say no to her or tell her to go back to her mother. So will she still age or will she always stay that old?”

"Of course, love.." Fate said, taking the soap and scrubbing Sam's back for him. "You can, but if the higher ups--basically people like Anubis and Dad, big name reapers who ahve been alive for thousands and thousands of years, decide that the partner isn't fitting for you to help your skills grow you could be ordered to choose another.I don't know about myself, but Charon's a kind soul like you, he does a lot of hospital missions like I've said before about him..But I doubt my dad would reject me, and I doubt they'd think that you wouldn't grow to your fullest with me..If you asked for Gwyn they'd automatically say no, for example.For obvious reasons.."

Fate rinsed off Sam's back, and laughed as Sam mentioned the girl still had an accent. "How cute..She'll age as her powers grow, she'll probably end up looking to be in her mid twenties, like around the age I look, 23-25 range.It's a common place for it to stop.Anubis and Dad and the other older Reapers look more to be in their thirties to forties.I probably won't age unless Dad retires--good luck getting him to do that, seeing as he's the original reaper--and I have to take over his spot, then I might look to be his age."

“Well I really don’t see why you would not be a good match for me, unless you let small problems we have with our relationship get in the way of us working. And may I tell you that is one of the worst ways to have a love life spoiled. I watched one of my co works get married with a nice girl in the office. Then he got a raise and she did not so they started having problems with her calming that he slept with his boss to get the raise. By the end of the four years she was ready to kill him and he had gone through three beautiful secretaries. The last one was the one that broke the camel’s back, it was a man.” Sam sighed as Fate washed off his back, then he turned around so that Fates hands ran a crossed his chest. “You would never take home you work would you, at least not to the other side?”

“so I am always going to look as I do now? Or will I get thinner with time?” he really wanted to know this, for although he did not have a body to die for. Or the body of a star Sam did do a few push-ups and sit-ups to keep in shape. A fact he had forgotten to do last night as he was spending time with Fate, which had added to the dream like quality of the evening. “Well I wish her luck; I was worried for her there for a bit till she said that her mum was working long evenings. Did I really see a human when I saw her mother or was that another reaper who was just in the area and helping her?”

"I wouldn't let little problems spoil anything..All my worries fade away when I fall asleep, and wake up in my other body.I live as normal, practically as if I'm on vacation forever in that world.It's nice.My eyes are creepier when I'm in my true form though, some people can't stand to make eye contact with me at all.." Fate pouted a bit, washing himself off and turning around so Sam was at his back. "Do my back for me, please?"

"Your body works as normal, but you gain weight slower luckily..I think you're cute as you are, at least you aren't on the verge of your bones showing like I am..Gwyn is just creepy to see shirtless, I don't know how he has any muscle on him at all..Answer: he doesn't.He's practically skin and bone or so it seems.." Fate shuddered. "That's her real mom and a reaper simotaneously, she became one beause she found out her mom became one when she died.When she gets older and goes into the trainee stage before going on her first real missions, her mom will guide her on some of hers.It's a tradition with parent-child relationships with reapers, Dad taught me and Grim, Gwyn taught Gwyn, Charon taught Charon, and Horus might take over for his dad Osiris..They're not reapers though.It's hard to explain what they do..And back on subject of the scout girl, I think her name is Ilsa or something like that--god I feel like Grim with that, he's TERRIBLE at names.He pronounces your name like 'tea time'.--, her Dad is her Mum's mission this month.He's not actually her blood dad..I won't say how her mom died or where her dad ended up.Too sick and depressing. "

Gently scrubbing Fates back Sam smiled. “Then I think that we could keep our problems away from what we have to do for a job.” Suddenly Sam leaned down against Fate and sighed. There was a sad sound in that sigh, and hidden in the shower water were tears. He could not help crying, this was the last time he would have on earth. He would be leaving it in such a short time. Everyone he ever loved would wonder how he had died and why, why so young. He still had so much to do in life but it was over so fast. At least he knew when it was and that it would not hurt him. His face was starting to feel numb from where he was laying it on Fates back. “I don’t want to die.”

Fate turned around and hugged Sam very tightly. "I know..I'm sorry..I really am..I would make you immortal if I could, constantly flipping your hourglass so you'd have all the time in the world..But I can't.I don't want you to die..But..No matter what, I have to and it hurts knowing that I'm the reason I've taken everything away from you, so many years of your life you could have had...It is very nice up there though..It doesn't feel much different, it feels much more laid back because we have so much less worry.We work because we want to help keep our cities alive just because we want to..It's wonderful..I want you to come with me but I'll always remember every night that I took everything away..Once I dream again I'll no doubt have nightmares.."

“I…” Sam’s voice caught in a sob. “I am sorry, it’s not…” sob. “Your fault. And I don’t mean to be this way.” Sam sniffed wiping at his eyes. “it’s just, all of a sudden, it all just flooded in.” slowly he slipped out of Fates hands and onto the floor of the tub. “I don’t mean to be this way.” The tears kept coming and he was really starting to feel so bad for what he was putting fat through. He wanted to be happy but he just could not stop. He did not want to leave his life.
Now granted his life was not the best one in the world but hay it was his life. He would have had made better choices in the future, he just needed more time. But now that time was up and he only had one month to see all that he had wanted to see and do. There were so many things running through his mind on what to do first that would be different.
