Basic Main Character's Back Story/Plot: A lonely scientist specializes in technology/robotics, and his only companion are machines and his young assistant (but she eventually moves on with her life. She still visits him though). He builds the "perfect" robot that can blend in with humans (only by appearance though). The lonely scientist eventually decides to treat the robot like his own son. He teaches the robot everything he needs to know, but the robot's human interaction skills isn't that great. The lonely scientist can only program so much into his robot before he realizes that it will never replace the company of a human. So he releases the robot into the real world with all this knowledge and bids the robot farewell.
Character Profiles
Ron's Profile - Main Character
Name: Ronald "Ron" Song-Park
Age: Six years chronologically, but has the appearance of a 20-25 year old, and his mental age is unknown.
Height: Six Feet
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Gold
About Him: Ron was created by Dr. Kenneth Song-Park to be a companion, but it didn't work out to well. Ron was taught everything he knows by his creator, and learned how to live in the real world by his creator (or least deal with it to the best of his ability). He kept his creator company for as long as he could before being given "independence" to move out on his own. He considers his creator as his father. He calls Dr. Kenneth Song-Park father. Even though his father has abandoned him in a dance, he still loves him as much as a robot could love a human in a son to father like matter. When Ron needs repairs, his creator's former assistant steps in to help him at times. He consider's the assistant to be his aunt and calls her "Aunt Liz". Ron has a rough life ahead of him now. It has been almost two whole years since his father abandoned him. He had to learn to deal with humans the best way he knows how, even if it meant making a lot of mistakes.

Ron's Creator
Name: Dr. Kenneth J. Song-Park
Age: Between 35-48
Height: Six Feet
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Hazel
About Him: Dr. Kenneth Song-Park was born in the United States, his father is from South Korea, and his mother is Scots-Irish American. He wasn't much of a social butterfly, but he managed anyways. He only had a couple of relationships in life, but his passion had always been technology and robotics. He payed more attention to his studies in technology and robotics than he did his girlfriends, which caused him loneliness. He later became a semi-well known scientist and a professor at a University. He found an assistant that was similar in nature to himself, but she later moved on and graduated. She still visits him from time to time though. That is when he decided to build a robot that resembles a human being. He would hope this robot would replace human companionship and company, but he was ever so wrong. Hopefully one day he'll find somebody.
Picture:
Aunt Liz
Name: Lismay "Lizzy" DeFields
Age: 25
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Height: Five Foot Eight
About Her: Lizzy was Dr. Song-Park's assistant during her college days. She wasn't that social either, but she managed to graduate with a high graduate average, and was still a people person in a sense. People liked her and wondered why she would be an assistant to Dr. Song-Park. Lizzy is interested in technology as well. Her degree(s) are in, Graphics Design, Web Design, Library Science, and Programming. She only did robotics as a hobby. She later moved on and got engaged to one of her classmates. His name is Edwin Philips, but he is known as Ted. Now at days, Lizzy does repairs on Ron because she found out Dr. Song-Park has "abandoned" his own creation. This made Lizzy feel really sad on the inside. She kind of assisted Dr. Song-Park with the creation process. Now Lizzy wonders if it is possible for Ron to find true love.

Character Profile(s)
The Woman
Name: Dr. Margaret Peabody
Age: 25
Hair Color: Purple
Eye Color: Naturally Brown, Dyed Purple
Height: Five Foot Seven
About Her: Margaret had a fairly normal childhood, although her intelligence often isolated her from her peers. She can be shy, but it’s more that she doesn’t really know how to deal with people, who are not always logical, and don’t always behave predictably. She has a few friends, but is generally fairly lonely and absorbed in her work. Her current project is a system for making interactive touchable holograms. Her secret vice is that she likes romance novels. She is actually very romantic, but is starting to give up on finding love for herself.

Ron is at a local book store checking out the books on robotics and technology. He goes to this book store every week. The owner of this book store is use to Ron by now and doesn't question his ways. The new customers and new employers always wonder about Ron though. When they find out Ron isn't human, they are surprised. Some of the local bullies like picking on Ron though and beating him up sometimes, but luckily that hasn't happened in a while.
Ron was now sitting down at the corner of a bookshelf and started reading a random sci-fi book about a robot. Ron wondered if he could ever be like this robot, feel love or be loved. Ron shed what seems to be a tear, but he wiped it before some one could tell he could cry.
"I wish I had a friend," Ron said to himself as he was reading the book.

Margaret sighs as she walks into the bookstore. It had been a long week at work, and altough she loves her job, the lack of progress is becoming frustrating. She is ready for a break. She heads towards the romance section, and soon has a tall pile of books. She heads over to the science fiction section, to complete her normal pattern of search. Absorbed in her own thoughts, she trips over the seated Ron, and falls. She catches her self on her hands and knees, but her books go flying. She races to pick them up, but finally seeing Ron, she stops, and appologizes. "I'm so sorry... I didn't see you."
((OOC: Sorry it took so long to reply, real life has been kind of crazy.))

Ron looks at Margaret and gives her a light hearted smile. He even gets up from his spot to help her gather her books. He then smiles at her after he handed her the books she dropped near him.
"Don't worry about it, I am sure you didn't mean to," Ron said as he handed the books to her.
Ron sat back down and went back to reading that science fiction novel about the android that lived like a human. Ron kind of teared up when he got to the middle of the book when he got to the part where the android developed human emotions.
"Is this what Aunt Liz meant about the emotions things?" Ron thought to himself.
((Don't worry about it. :)))

Margaret accepts her books, blushing, and thanks Ron. She begins to browse in the science fiction section, adding a few more to the tower of books she is carrying. She is frustrated to find that there are no copies of a fairly new book by one of her favorite authors. She sighs, annoyed. "You'd think they'd have at least one copy." She continues her perusal of the science fiction section.

Ron notices he has the fairly new book that Margaret wanted in his hands. He decided to give up and walk over to Margaret. He looks up at her and hands her the book.
"Is this the book you are looking for?" Ron asked Margaret in a kindhearted/shy tone as he extended the book out to her, "I didn't know this was the last copy in the book store, so here... You can have it."
Ron was slightly blushing. Who knew an android could blush. Dr. Song Park built Ron in the image of human perfection. Oh sure there were some flaws, but Ron could almost perfectly pass for a human if you didn't know about androids or robotics.
Then Ron thought to himself, "I hope this is the right thing to do..."

Margaret looks up as Ron approaches. At his question, she looks at the book in his hand. "Yes, that's it. " She blushes at his offer. "Thank you, but you were here first, you should get it if you want it! I can put in an order, and they should have a copy for me in a few days."
She smiles, offering her hand. "I'm Margaret, by the way." She is a little nervous, as Ron falls under the catagory of "attractive male" in her mind, and she is afraid she is being to forward. "Do you like Smithson's work in general, or was this the first of her books that you've read?"

"Nice to meet you, Margaret," Ron said as he smiled and shook her hand, "I am Ron."
Ron smiled at Margaret, as he was done with the book anyways. He wondered if she would be surprised if he told her that he already read the book, but then he decided just to answer her question first.
"Yeah, her books are very interesting," Ron said to Margaret as he held on to the book for a little bit, "I always liked this series about the robotic man. It's very interesting."

Margaret smiled back at Ron. " She's one of my favorite authors. I like this series a lot, mostly for the way she handles artificial intelligence." She pauses, then takes a chance. "I don't suppose you'd be interested in going for coffee or something? It's so rare that I meet some one I can discuss sci-fi literature with..."
((Sorry, computer is still acting up... I thought it was better, but it was only a temporary reprieve.))

Ron looks at Margaret then smiles at her. He thinks about what she has asked for a second and then thinks about a reply.
"Sure, that would be nice," Ron said as he smiled at her, "there is a coffee shop near the book store. To bad the coffee shop inside the bookstore isn't ready yet."
Ron sighed on the inside and wondered if he should risk drinking hot coffee. The last time he drank hot coffee, he got really sick and his machinery didn't work right for a couple of days. He wanted to impress Margaret, but he couldn't hide the fact he wasn't human from her forever though.
