"You're sexy," Silvana stated, firmly patting the vampire on the shoulder with one, determined nod. "But I'm busy watching my movie. Tonight is devoted to me, right? Well, this is my moment." She started dancing again, this time in her chair. Then it occurred to her that the vampire had seemed... Strangely suggestive with his last statement. Almost like... He was trying to manipulate her with his vampiric powers. Did he really want it that badly right now? She stopped dancing for a moment, stealing a glance at Zadist and pouting her salmon-pink lips babyishly. "Zeeee.... Were you using your Vampire Persuasion +2 just then?" The way she said it made it sound like it was a videogame skill in an RPG that Zadist just happened to have in real life. "Because if you're gonna play by those rules, I'm using my Confusion +4 on you, and see how you like it." She shook her index finger at him, as if she was scolding a little boy who'd gotten mud on her carpet.

Zadist frowned and blinked, staring at Silvana curiously. Had she just pulled out the D&D terms on him? And the pat? He was now a...dog? Who needed reassurance? Good Lord...what next? The vampire sighed, faceplanting into his palm and shaking his head wearily.

Instead of answering, the vampire slouched down in the chair, glaring at the screen as if he wanted to rip it to shreds.

There was a loud slurping noise to the vampire's left--the sound of Silvana finishing the last of her Dr. Pepper. Between the candy and the large soda, she was completely wired. In fact, she practically gaped at the movie, and would stop occasionally to mouth the lines, making dramatic facial expressions as she did so. During romance scenes, she would even face one direction, acting like the man and mimicking his face. Then she would face the other direction, putting her hands to her chest and making a sparkly girl face while she mouthed their lines. Then she did a sweeping motion with her hands, out towards the empty chairs in front of her, and bowed in her chair. About halfway through the movie she started bouncing, as though she had too much energy, and looked at Zadist frantically. He looked very, very grumpy. Like Oscar the Grouch. "Z!" she declared, holding her hands up in the air. "Guess what!"

The vampire jumped as Silvana called him, and looked over to her in alarm, his eyebrows creasing in worry. He leaned over before answering her, sniffing her shoulder. She seemed so innocent and didn't smell like drugs, still...0.0;

Zadist cleared his throat, lifting his emerald eyes to her face and warily answering, "Yes?"

"I like..." Silvana froze, as if trying to decide what she wanted to say. Truthfully, she was just thinking of the best compliment to give a vampire. One that made him feel strong and manly and in-charge. She didn't know if vampire men got mushy gushy feelings, so she didn't want to say something really, really cheesy. This was harder than she thought... Maybe she should have thought of something to say before she actually called his name. So she stared at him intently for a few moments, her eyebrows creasing as she frowned. Finally, she settled on something. "...I like... Your face. And your fangs. And your hair," she finished lamely, turning away and grimacing. Wow. That was retarded. "...Also, you are very manly and ruggedly handsome," she added quickly, to try and salvage it. As if that would help.

...The hell? Zadist stared at Silvana for a few minutes, another annoying song tickling his ears. "Uh...thank you? I...like...you in bed? And here. And...anywhere?" He shifted in the seat, glancing around quickly. Well, that hadn't come out right. Though it may irritate his strange female...

After a moment, Zadist forgot his goal, and his frown deepened. "You...like my fangs? Why?"

"I dunno," Silvana said with a shrug. She completely ignored his comments about liking her in his bed and everywhere else. He just liked her everywhere, okay. What about on a roller coaster? A Ferris Wheel? The top of the Eiffel Tower? The moon? Silvana wondered what it would be like standing on the moon next to a vampire. And if the moon was actually made of cheese she would never starve. But he would, so she would probably die three days in from being drained completely. Bad idea to go to the moon with a vampire. "I think I like your fangs because..." She stroked her chin, like she had an invisible beard. "...They are pearly white... They look good on you..." And then she snapped her fingers. "And it actually feels nice when you bite me during sex. The end." The end referred to the end of her statement, but also the fact that the movie was finishing up soon.

Zadist didn't respond, settling back in his chair and frowning, his hand covering his jaw quietly.

When the credits did finish, Zadist stood, still not quite meeting Silvana's gaze, he shoved his hands in his pockets, moving down the aisle. "That movie was terrible." He lied, giving a tiny yawn. "Lead the way to that other thingie you were wanting to do." The vampire stared intently at a wall, angry with himself for not being able to push her away, and angry at her. Why did she care so damn much about him, anyway? Didn't she know better?

"Different strokes for different folks," Silvana said, stretching her arms with a yawn and then letting them fall to her sides. "I like it, and that's perfectly fine if you don't." Honestly, there were a ton of things she liked that her friends Lucy and Marie didn't. And there were also lots of things that they loved that she did not enjoy, either. Like going to nightclubs and talking to jocks. Honestly, if she'd been allowed to tell her friends that her significant other was a vampire, and they'd gotten over the initial incredulity, they would totally believe it. Why? Because it made sense that someone as weird as Silvana would attract those sort of people. "Well, across the street, about half a block to the south," she said, humming a song a little between her response. "There is a dessert place called 'Something Sweet'. And I want to go there to have some cake. I promise I won't take long, because I know you have stuff to do."

Zadist fell silent once more, throwing a glare back at Silvana and grudingly leading the way.

God, he was such a grumpy person tonight! Silvana made faces at him when he turned away from glaring at her. They were childish faces, like grabbing the corners of her mouth and tugging them down. But, before he could look back and catch her doing it, she stopped and looked innocently at a brick wall while they walked, as though she had done nothing at all... "Z, are you good at dancing?" Silvana asked, seemingly out of nowhere.

The male hadn't noticed her faces, too caught up in his thoughts. When she questioned him, he seemed so suprised, he actually stopped and glanced to her, wide eyed. "I uhh..." Deciding to sidestep the actual question itseld, Zadist chose a roundabout answer, "Musical talents, dancing included, isn't forefront in Vampire Customs. Not many people can sing well or dance."

(Attempts to take...and fails miserably...)

Silvana frowned, her forehead wrinkling deep in thought. So much for that idea. "Oh, well. That is most unfortunate," she said, shrugging her shoulders. The vampire gazed blankly at her, so she tried to explain. "Because I was thinking, that... Like... When I make you dress up in the jacket and the frilly shirt, and tie your hair back in a ponytail and make you look all cool and old-fashioned... That I could wear a white gown, and we could waltz in a room lighted by candles." She started to laugh at the look on his face when she said that. "I don't actually want to, although it would be really fun. See, I was just thinking about a scene from a movie I saw... With Dracula and Mina..." She shook her head to snap herself out of the reverie coming on. "Yeah, nevermind. I'm odd." She walked past him, eager to get to the place for some cake.

Zadist frowned again, following her. When he spoke, it was clear his was upset, his accent deepening, and his English faltering slightly. "Silvana. I heard some humans, they...fantasize about vampires. It is hard to explain. Are you this way? I mean, if Phayte had been attracted to you, instead of me, would you have accepted him?" The vampire was next to her, striding along, though he was now gazing at her, his expression unreadable.

"No," Silvana stated without hesitation. She stopped, looking at Zadist if he was completely crazy. "I faintly recall, sometime in the past, that you FORCED me to have sex with you... You took me to your house, watching Mulan with me, and then BAM. I tried to run?" She shook her head slowly. "Honestly, I like weird stuff. But I was not just going to get together with anyone. Vampire or not. I like you, and that's why I'm with you. I like that you are a vampire, so I can sort of joke about the vampire slash human fictional stereotypes. But it doesn't mean I was going to go seeking you out until I found one of you and made you love me. I'm not Melody, remember?" She said the last part somewhat bitterly, but shrugged it off. "I already told you, I don't know why I care about you so much. There's just something about you... I... I don't know how to explain. You make me feel nice inside."

Zadist flinched back from the female. This wasn't working at all. Silvana was tearing down the walls it had taken centuries to build. And he liked being that open with her. But it had to stop. Zadist closed his eyes, picturing her screaming as her body changed, as his sun went out.

Shivering slightly, the vampire's eyes popped open. "'Made me love you'? Honestly, you humans. I don't love you I love your body. Can't you see the difference? I thought you were smarter than that, would have realized that by now." It wasn't fair to her, Zadist knew. He'd had raped her, made her care for him, brought her into his world. And now, he was forcing her out of it, by hurting her. It wasn't fair at all.

Right. Because loving her body constituted making her change into her colorful dresses and feeding her obsession with Devdas. If he had wanted a girl for a body, he could have had anyone he wanted, not Silvana. That wasn't what he had said was interesting about her, and he had said it to her several times. He was fascinated by HER. HER. Not her chest, her legs... Well, he liked those things, too. But that was a plus, because... Anyway, the point was. That was not true, and she refused to believe it now.

"Why do you keep saying things like that tonight?" she demanded, whirling around and pointing her finger at him accusingly. "I know that's not true. I'm SMART enough to realize that BY NOW. You wouldn't give me Devdas, you wouldn't ask me questions about myself, and all this other stuff that you do subconsciously that you don't seem to notice. No, Zadist, you like me. I don't know about love. It's honestly too soon to say, even if I may be addicted to you already and capable of saying I love you. But the honest truth? You do like me, for me. Just like I like you, for you. I am..."

She rested a hand on her forehead and sighed deeply. Suddenly, her voice was a lot softer. "...I am committed to this. It really tears me up inside, thinking that... I have to fight you, just like I have to fight the rest of your family and the changed vampires and everything, to be with you. No one is on my side. I'm alone, here."

The vampire had been suprised by her fire, and stepped back, lowering his gaze guiltly. When she finished, however, he was quite for a bit. Finally, he stepped over to her, nuzzling her neck gently. "You are never alone, Silvana. Don't think that. If I can't be there, there is always Cynn and Phayte will help you, simply because you are marked by me."

He continued, backing up and holding her shoulders gently. "I'm sorry. I'll just...hope you get tired of me on your own, okay? I...won't push you away...Come on. Let's get that cake for you..." He dropped his arms, Zadist's hand reaching for hers, tugging gently.

"And when my mark is gone, Zadist?" Silvana asked, her voice shaky. She tried to blink away the extra moisture that was forming in the corners of her eyes. "Will you all just disappear?" That was it. As long as she had that stupid mark, the stupid scent... That was the only reason any of the, were staying with her, to keep her from getting hurt. As soon as it faded, and was not renewed... None of them had a reason to be with her after that anymore, did they? "How long is it going to last?" she whispered, allowing herself to be taken by the hand and led along the sidewalk gently. It was just so painful. She did not want to think about a time when... She would no longer mean a thing to the vampire. "I'm not going to do that... I won't get tired of you, I promise."

Zadist glanced back at her. "The mark lasts as long as my blood is in your system. Maybe two more months." He didn't answer her other question for a few moments, finally stopping in front of the cafe he'd told her about.

He turned swiftly, lifting her hands to his lips and kissing them gently. "I can't just leave, so you don't need to worry about that. I'd have to take your memories, and after seeing you like that..." The vampire shook his head, trying to get her collapsing and crying from his head. "I won't do that to you. Not again. So there's nothing to worry about, alright? I'm...sorry for how I've been acting." And he was constantly apoligizing now. What happened to his pride?

Two months. Thank Zeus. Or God. That was a nice, long time from now. And if he would not leave her without taking her memories, and she refused to allow him to, then he could not do it without causing her suffering. And the vampire did not want to cause her suffering again. As far Silvana could tell, she and Zadist were pretty much safe together unless some outside power tried to influence them, such as Melody or Lillith. And both of them proved formidable opponents. Lillith scared her to death and Melody was too powerful for her to just punch in the face and be done with it. Her heart fluttered as he lifted her hands to his lips and kissed them tenderly. It was the sort of thing that he did for her without realizing it, that conveyed his deep appreciation for her.

"It's all right, Z," she said with a sad smile. "I'm sorry, too, for snapping at you." Her lower lip trembled and then she flung her arms around him, hugging him tightly. "Thank you so much for taking me out tonight, even if you hated the movie! I'm ready for some cake!"

Startled by her hug for a moment, Zadist recovered quickly, hugging her gently. When he was released, he began leading Silvana inside. "I liked the movie." He admitted after a moment, turning to her and holding out his card, nodding towards the cashier.

So he had lied about disliking it? Well... Silvana was not altogether surprised. She half-smiled, a bit amused by his confession, and took the card with her to the cashier. She ordered an iced white mocha and some red velvet cake. Then, after paying, she returned to the vampire and gestured towards the tables, choosing one and sitting down across from him. The girl peeked out the window quickly, at the empty dark street lined with lamps, and then returned her wide indigo orbs to look at the man. "Were you even paying attention to the movie? You seemed kind of mad the whole time. I just thought it was because I wouldn't climb onto your lap, honestly."

He offered a sheepish grin. "Whenever I turned my face away, I'd watch. And no, I...was just trying to upset you. Though...I wouldn't say no to taking you in a public place. Like here..." The vampire hinted, his eyes flashing silver for a moment.

With a sigh, he leaned back, balancing the chair on two legs. "At least you'll get to sleep well tonight. Oh, yeah...and before I forget, here..." Zadist leaned forward for a moment, sliding one of his phones across the table. "Since I lost yours. Theres some numbers in there for you. Cynn, Phayte, and a few of my friends and two cousins. Phriyte, Lye and Dye Aair, Thremour, and Shay Dawl. If you ever get into a bind, call any of them, let them know I've marked you. They'll help you out, 'kay?"

Silvana laughed. He was so interesting. Sure, he was a vampire, violent and blood thirsty, with a tendency towards raping innocent young women. But for some, odd reason, he liked Mulan, Singing in the Rain, and the occasional Ke$ha song. Really, it was just too funny. Zadist was a quirky individual himself, and it hardly mattered what his actual species was. He made her smile with his own eccentricity and warm acceptance of hers. "I'd say to go someplace more private with me and have at it. But I know you have things to do, so I'll leave that for some other time." The girl smiled, tilting her head.

Then he pushed the phone towards her, a replacement for the cell phone he'd lost. Silvana grinned and lifted it up, scrolling through the numbers. "None of them would be very amused by prank calls, would they?" she asked slyly. "I can't call them and say they won a million dollars if they can name the last song on the radio on so and so station?"
