"Z talks about me?" Silvana said with a giggle. "Zadie? That's a nice nickname. I just call him Z. Zeee, Zeee, Zee. He hasn't told me not to call him that, so I guess it doesn't bother him. Uhm." She glanced at the clock. Two am. But she was still too energetic to sleep, and far too worried about Zadist to even try. The jitters were everywhere in her, in her arms, in her legs, in her stomach... She was losing her mind, but she was grateful for the kind reception from the Aair side of the family, unless they were just pretending. But it helped that Cynn was there, too. It made her a little more trusting of the group. "Say sorry to Dye for me, your guy's voices sound pretty similar." She hesitated, mulling over their question. Did she want to hang out with Zadist's cousins? Would he have been opposed to it. "Uhm.. Well, I don't mind meeting you if Cynn is there, too. But... Would Zadist be upset if I did? He's supposedly... Getting punished for me right now..." Her voice shook a little, and it was evident from her tone that she was extremely upset about that fact.
|
Lye was silent for a moment, obviously evaluating her response. Finally, he simply spoke the truth. "He is. We left there a while ago. And yeah, we'll bring Cynn. And I don't see why he'd be upset. And he's not upset...he's actually-" There was a squeal, then a demand to keep someone's hands off that. "Ready for a night on the town. We'll bring Zadie's car and meet you at your place, okay? We all know where it is. And yes, Zadie. He hates it. But I won't call him anything else." |
Silvana could not help grinning. The group sounded almost... Fun. Silly. Not at all intimidating. Of course, they were all vampires and probably also really old in comparison to her. And under other circumstances, they would have loved to take a bite out of her and kill her, too. But... Things being how they were, Silvana was perfectly happy to take advantage of the situation and get to know some of Zadist's other family members, if they were for it, so that in some way she could feel closer to him and more a part of his life. She still worried that he'd be angry at her for seeing them without asking his permission, but... Well... She did not want to be alone right now. Not at all.
"Sounds good," she said, although she was a bit disturbed by the fact that so many vampires knew where he house was at all times. Interesting. "I'll get dressed and will be ready in about fifteen minutes. Just text me when you get here and I'll come outside." |
"Alright" Lye responded. ~<3~ It was only ten minutes later (Dye was a hell of a driver) that Lye was frantically texting to Silvana. In the backseat, Phayte, Phriyte, and Cynn were crammed, Cynn sitting on Balto's lap. In the front, Dye was driving, Lye in the passanger seat, though he stood outside of the car to wait for Silvana. |
Silvana stepped out, wearing the same colorful dress and sandals from earlier when she saw Zadist, and then walked around the side of the house. She froze, though, when she saw how packed the car was. Had the entire vampire posse come to see her? Even (and she eyed him distastefully) Phayte... Moreover, where was she going to sit, in someone's lap? There did not appear to be any room from her. She moved cautiously towards the man standing outside of the car. All of the vampires were significantly more attractive than her, which annoyed her, but oh well. "Hi, um... Lye?" She waved awkwardly, a little finger wave, and then glanced into the car at the rest of them. "This is a lot more than I was expecting. How am I going to fit in there?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
|
The vampire chuckled and nodded, pinching his nose. "Ack...uhh...forgive me. Still very young. You do smell good...Plus, us Aairs haven't needed self control for a while. You'll sit here, of course. And don't worry. Phayte pointed out that you'd be safer in a crowd this size, where we are going." He beckoned her into the car, moving to slid over the hood. Dye opened the driver door, and Lye slid in, sitting on his twins lap, his legs drapped over the other male's. The twins were identical, the only difference, including clothes, was Dye wearing red, Lye wearing blue, and Lye had a few bite marks on the left side of his neck, while Dye had the same amount on his right side. "Don't start this!" Phayte demanded from the backseat, leaning up to smack Dye's head, though the male didn't seem to notice, nuzzling his brother gently, before putting Zadist's eclipse into drive. (Im'ma use this pic for the twins: ) Behind her, another vampire leaned forward, ducking under Phayte's hand and holding out his own. "'Lo. I'm Phyrite. (Fright) Nice to meet you." His clothes resemebled Zadist's from the first time he'd met Silvana. "I'm the favorite cousin." Phyrite chuckled, shaking his head at his joke, the black locks floating around his head. (And Phriyte: ) Cynn snorted and yawned. "Let's go." Lye removed his head from where he'd buried it in Dye's neck. "Ignore her. She's about to go through puberty, so she's a little bitch right now." "Balto." The human slave leaned up, thwacking Lye on the head gently. |
Silvana slid into the passenger's seat, her eyes widening at the twins' behavior. She hoped that this was strictly platonic, because from a human standpoint, she had serious qualms with 'twincest'. Even though it seemed to be a favorite female anime otakus and fujoshi. Which, she might add to herself, she was not. She shook Phyrite's hand gingerly, than pulled her own hand back, unsure of what to say to anyone. God, this was awkward. "Nice to meet you," she said, and then watched Balto whack Lye on the head. Balto was the only other human that spent time with these vampires, as Cynn's "pet", and she had never heard him utter a single word. Maybe she would try to talk to him herself, when she got the chance.
"What do you mean 'where we are going'?" Silvana asked after a moment. She made a face, wondering if they were taking her to some secret vampire hangout where she would attract blood-suckers like a beacon in a storm... A lighthouse sitting atop a dark promontory in the middle of the night, to direct wayward ships safely to shore. And why was she using sea similes, now? "I'm, uh... Going to apologize in advance for my awkwardness," she continued, smiling nervously. "I dunno most of you, and I am a little... Uhh.... Out of my element? Confused?" She laughed. |
Lye had buried his head once more, and his voice came out muffled. "Slow down, Dye...and we can't exactly go to a human club, with all the new problems. Things could get outta hand in front of them. So we're going to a nightclub of ours. And don't worry...We're all weird." From the back, Phriyte and Cynn gave identical snorts. Phayte shifted in the backseat, until his face was pressed between the door and the seat, close to Silvana's ear. "What's wrong? You afraid?" His voice was whispered, though the whole car had gone silent, tension floating around. Lye lifted his head, glancing from Phayte to Cynn, seeming frightened for a moment. |
Something snapped in Silvana. "DUDE, what is your PROBLEM?" she said, whirling around to face Phayte and glare at him, with daggers in her eyes. "You didn't have to come, you know! If you're just gonna badmouth me the entire time, I don't want to hear it! Jesus Christ!" She flailed her arms wildly, and then turned completely back around again to face the front of the car, seething. She practically punched the dial on the dashboard to turn on the CD player. She replaced the inside disk with Devdas again, not bothering to ask anyone what they wanted to hear, and turned it up. Then she started to dance in her seat, singing along with the words in Hindi. "IF YOU ANSWERED, I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" She said in between the lyrics, and then bounced a little in her chair.
|
Phayte stood in the back of the car, bent over, to lean over Silvana. He eject the cd, holding it in front of her and breaking it, his face emotionless, until he turned to glare at her. His icy blue eyes were filled with hatred. "For over a hundred years, I lived knowing I had a brother, but unable to see him. Now, he's getting hurt. Because of you. You're my problem." "Phayte!" Cynn's tiny voice, normally so soft, was a barked command of warning. Even though she was the youngest, she was, after all, second in command. Phayte hesitated, before throwing Silvana one last glare, settling back into his seat. "Don't worry about him, Silvana. He will behave for the rest of the night. And he will replace your cd as well." The twins shared a glance, and Phriyte seemed like he was trying to edge away from the tiny female, until she began babbling about boiling blood to the air, her eyes far away. |
Some gangster voice sounded in Silvana's head when he broke the CD in half in front of her. Her Devdas CD. Her present from Zadist. 'OH, NO HE DIDN'T!' Rather than be scared of the the man, from the toxic tone in his voice, Silvana was about ready to wring her hands around his neck and strangle him. Or smash a plate over his head. If there was a plate TO smash. And... The reminder that Zadist was being injured right now... Over her. It was almost too much to bear. She wanted to say nothing. She really wanted to just listen to Cynn and the others and ignore what Phayte had said. But... But...
Her voice was quiet, as she averted her eyes. "I know I'm just a human to all of you. A stupid human. I'm not worth anything more than the blood in my body. And so, this would be any reason for you to believe that I could never care about one of you... But... You're people too, just like I am..." She held a hand against her chest, feeling the rapid drumming of her heart. She was so nervous. "Even if I am afraid of you, I don't hate you. I'm going to prove to all of you someday, that I care about your brother and cousin..." She trailed off, lowering her eyes as she clenched her hands back into her lap. "I don't care if you hate me, Phayte. You have every right to worry about... What is happening to Zadist right now, because of me. That's the only reason I agreed to come with you all right now, because I was losing my mind thinking about it..." |
The car was silent, other than Cynn's continuous babbling, before Phriyte sighed, shaking his head. "Don't worry about it, girlie. honestly. Fart's just a bit protective of his brother. Zadist knows what he's doing, and he's willing to do it for ya. If you're really that upset, we could just take you to the-" Phayte growled, but Phriyte continued calmly, "To the Manor, so when he's done, you two can see each other right away." "We could get nice and drunk there, too." Dye chimed in, grinning. Cynn seemed to burst out of her own little world, "Ohh, yes, let's...It will make mother mad!!!" She giggled, and Lye lifted his head to explain to Silvana. "After puberty they'll clash a lot. Could come down to a fight between them." |
"It's okay," Silvana said, shaking her head. She did not want to compromise everyone's evening with her angst and depression over what was happening to Zadist right now. She needed to give him his space. Besides, after being tormented over her, why would he want her to be the first thing he saw? He would be... No, she didn't want to think about it anymore. "We can just go where you guys were planning on going." After that, she fell silent, staring intently at her folded hands. What a mess. At least the rest of them were nice to her, trying to comfort her. It still bothered her, though, that Phayte wished she would just die. She wanted, more than anything, to show him that she did not want to ruin Zadist's life. As long as Zadist wanted her, she wanted him. And she refused to break his heart from her own actions. No. She would be strong, if that was the only thing she could do for him right now. "I just need to be occupying my mind. Doesn't matter where."
|
The vampire's nodded, and Cynn growled from the backseat. Eventually, Dye parked. They had driven out to the country-side and we in front of a rather large barn. Strange, clearly European techno music blared from the barn's open doors, and various lights came from it. There was a shadow that darted in front of the car quickly, squealing in delight. The vampire's piled out, moving out the driver's side with remarkable quickness. They started towards the barn, though Phriyte waited patiently for Silvana. Phayte only paused to bare his teeth at her, his fangs glinting in the moonlight. "He'll be fine." Phriyte assured the female over the music. "He knows what happened last time. If he's taking a chance and taking the punishment, he thinks your worth it. You want a drink?" He grinned, "Without blood?" |
Silvana was actually... Pleased to hear European techno music pouring out from the building. Unlike the other club, with the freaky dark music they'd been playing, it was something that she liked and could easily dance to. But she'd have to do it in a corner or something, by herself, because she would be too embarrassed to dance seriously in front of any of the vampires. Like a silly person, yes. But when she actually got into the beat she was completely different. Silvana blushed and shook her head. "I don't really like alcohol," she admitted, looking at her feet.
She shuffled a bit closer to Phriyte, bothered that Phayte had decided to bare his fangs at her before going in. He was so mean. But she was grateful that at least one of the vampires had stayed behind to keep her company. "Thanks for offering, though... I am surprised that you are being so nice to me. I really appreciate it." |
Phriyte shrugged, eying her calmly. "It's not for you. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against you. But, I don't owe you anything either. It's for Zadist. he's had enough. And c'mon. You wanted to forget him right now, right?" The vampire took her hand gently, tugging her into the barn and over to a bar against one side, filling up a cup slowly. "Here..." he called over the music, handing over the cup. "Bloody Mary. No real blood. Give it a shot. With your mark, no one with touch you like that, so nuttin to fear." He accepted a glass of his own, a metallic smell coming from it. Inside, it was as if glow sticks had rained from the heaven and it was easy to find out that vampires had low drug tolerance. There was suprisingly little dancing, and what little that was supplied was more of a shifting from foot to foot. |
Silvana looked at the cup in her hand. It wasn't that she wanted to forget him. Or forget anything, for that matter. It was more that she didn't like the taste of alcohol to begin with. It was just... Unpleasant. "It's not that..." she said, though she probed the drink and made a face, setting it back down on the bar counter and sighing. "I don't want to forget anything tonight. I don't run from my problems." She glanced up at Zadist's cousin, sipping from his own cup. "I just don't like the taste, it's bleh." She made another face, to convey the sentiment. "My friends call me the 'designated driver', because I can't handle anything that tastes remotely strong. The worst I can do is coffee, and even that has to be bogged down with milk and chocolate and sugar." She sighed heavily, noticing how little movement there seemed to be on the dance floor.
"Seriously? I am hyper enough without anything." Silvana bounced a little, trying to get into the music. But it wasn't working, because Phriyte was looking at her and it made her embarrassed. So she bounced over to the wall, facing it, and then let the music flood her ears. No one could see her face. It helped a lot. So she just set herself free, and danced to the techno like any real human girl would, shaking her hips and holding her hands up in the air. |
Phriyte watched the human, dancing to the wall, and gave a tiny chuckle. He moved next her, and shook his head gently. "You two will either fall apart, or be perfect till the day you die...Don't let Lillith see you dancing. She'll think you're trying to get Zadist into all that again. Tell me, girlie, why are you with him? He told me how he first got you..." |
Silvana blushed a deep crimson, and immediately stopped dancing. Zadist told her he was not good at dancing, and that vampires were not interested in stupid things like singing and dancing anyway. She was just being herself, after all, silly as it may be. The girl shuffled her feet a little, while she stood next to Phriyte. She knew it could either fail miserably, or be perfect. At least, until she was too old to stand next to Zadist and look okay. She would get old eventually, and with white hair and wrinkles... Gain weight. Would he want her then? Silvana estimated about... twenty years at best, that she could live next to Zadist and feel fine with herself. "What do you mean, until the day I die?" she said. "I'll look ridiculous next to him in about twenty years. Then he will have to find someone pretty and young to suit him again," she said after a moment.
"Why am I with him? I... I think because... He accepts me as I am. I've not been very good with guys." She laughed wryly. "I'm a little weird, if you haven't noticed. And he's not as bad as you all make him sound. He's actually really, really... Nice to me..." She lowered her eyes sadly. "There's so much pain in him, you know. I just want to make him smile and laugh as much as I can." |
[Font"Book Antiqua"]The vampire's strange golden eyes evaluated the female. "I didn't say you had to stop. Zadist loved to dance. Got beat quite a lot for it. Just don't let Loalith see. As for age..." Phriyte shrugged, "He'll continue to stay by you, protect you, even if you don't turn him on. Zadist is too loyal sometimes." He fell silent for a long while, then, downing the drink. He was showing the low tolerance vampires seemed to have, already swaying on his feet. "You're right for him. Hope it works between you two. And I never said he's bad. I just miss him before he changed. The pre-Melody days. He used to laugh and goof around. Now...I dunno..." |
Rather than make her feel better about herself, Phriyte's words emphasized the fact that someday Silvana would no longer be desirable to the vampire male. She frowned, her forehead creasing. She tried to push it to the back of her mind, not think about it. She stood there, rather awkwardly, noting that the vampire beside her was already getting tipsy despite the tiny bit he'd had. If it did not agree with their systems biologically, why did they do it? Probably for the same reasons humans drank until they passed out, despite the fact they could easily die from it. "Zadist wouldn't dance with me. I asked about it earlier, and he said he wasn't very good. Anyway, I'm not planning on being anywhere near Mrs. Dvorak. I'd rather not stay in the vicinity of someone who I know is entertaining fantasies of murdering me in grizzly ways every second, if you know what I mean."
She turned around from the wall, to face the rest of the room. With the lighting and the crowd, Silvana found it difficult to spot anymore of the vampires that she knew. She squinted and craned her neck, but saw no one. "I can't dance when you're watching me," she added. "I'm too embarrassed. Most men scare me. I feel idiotic." |
"Men scare you?" Phriyte glanced over like he didn't believe Silvana, though didn't comment. "Let me give you a bit of advice, though. She's the head honcho. You'll either have to win her over or confront her. Otherwise, she won't let Zadist get anywhere near you. I don't like her, either...Evil bitch..." Phriyte shook his head, sighing softly, and turning to gather another drink. Phayte seemed to appear out of nowhere, though he'd clearly been running. He glanced at her, glaring, before whispering to Phriyte. The other male paled even more, glancing to Silvana before nodding and speaking to her. "Silvana...I know you two don't always get along, but I need you to go with Phayte, okay?" |
"Yeah, men scare me. I think I do better with vampires because they are just as weird as I am, though," Silvana said. "And it's unlikely I will be able to confront Lillith... Also that she will ever like me. Being myself, I am not going to satisfy her. Zadist does not want me to change into someone that Lillith would like, either. It's not going to be easy either way."
Silvana was alarmed. It took a lot for an older vampire to be freaked out. And from the look on Phriyte's face suddenly, Silvana glanced at Phayte. It was not that she did not get along with Phayte. She would love to be friends with him. He just hated her with every fiber of his being. Silvana nodded slowly, confused. These people were so secretive, but if something bad was happening, like say... Made vampires had dropped in on the party, she needed to listen to them and do as they said without protest. "Okay," she said, although the reluctance was evident in her tone. She took a measured step towards Phayte, waving at Phriyte. "Take care... I'll see you later." With that, the human female followed Zadist's brother without further protestation. |
Phriyte nodded to her, before disappearing from the bar, though a loud crash seemed to let everyone in attendance know the wall would indeed jump out at you. Phayte scowled, grabbing her wrist and tugging her out to the car, practically shoving her into the passenger seat. Inside, Cynn and Balto were already seated in the backseat, the female swaying. It was an awkward sight, Cynn's twelve year old body drunk, though Balto seemed to be handling her (And her nipping.) Rather well. Phayte peeled from the parking spot, making his way out of the party quickly, throwing another glare to Silvana. Behind her, Cynn giggled, clearly enjoying the chaotic ride. "Grandpa Aair, put your hands up!!!" |
What the Hades was going on? And would Phriyte be okay on his own? Silvana flinched at the brother's touch on her wrist as though someone had scalded her with boiling water. He made her skin crawl. And she was quite relieved when he released her, despite the unceremonious shoving into the passenger seat. Also, Dye and Lye seemed to be missing. Silvana ignored Phayte's glare and gazed out the side of the car towards the building they'd just departed. From the loud crashing noises and the sound of shattering glass, something was indeed going down in the place. Cynn was seemingly, and awkwardly, drunk. Balto's facial expression, however, denoted that this was nothing unusual. Then again, Balto never seemed to display much emotion no matter what happened. It made the female all the more curious about him. She faced the front, utterly perplexed. What was happening? She wanted to ask, but Phayte hated her. So... Well, she had to remain quiet about it.
