The vampire's smile dropped, and she narrowed her eyes. "Fine. Then you can turn and walk awayy. I won't help him, and I want you to live knowing what you did to him." The female turned then, striding back up the stairs. A slam was heard a moment later as she shut her study door.

Shit.

Silvana watched, horrified as Lillith turned away from her and disappeared up the staircase, slamming the study door behind her. The girl did not know what to do. She could not be changed by Lillith Dvorak, because it would destroy Zadist. But if his mother did not send aid, Zadist would be held captive by Melody until she tired of him and decided to kill him. If she never did, he would be stuck with that horrible woman forever, existing in a perpetual torment similar to the two centuries held under his mother. What could Silvana do?

Lost, and obviously crestfallen, Silvana wandered up the stairs and squatted beside the study door. Out of desperation, she almost wanted to consent the the fallen angel's conditions, allow herself to be turned, and then live the rest of her life in solitude. Perhaps in Italy, feeding off donated, bagged blood. But, Silvana couldn't become a vampire. Not now. She was too young! She hadn't even lived her own human life!

All she could really do was sit outside the door and hope that Mrs. Dvorak settled on some other "punishment" for her to save Zadist, because Silvana couldn't work with these choices. What would Cynn say? As Silvana was seated by the doorway, she muttered the address of the warehouse. She couldn't forget it, no matter what.

At the warehouse, Cynn was having no luck, and her time was running out. So far, the mades had been kept at bay, knowing who she was, however, when it was seen she was alone, they were biting at the bits. And Melody wouldn't budge... It would go either way soon.

~<3~

After a bit, Lillith opened the door, glaring at the female. "Get out of my house. You're making it reek."

Silvana stood up abruptly, her eyes wide as she looked to Lillith beyond the opened study door. The girl hesitated, but then shook her head. She was stubborn, foolishly. To a fault. She knew that time was running out. Something needed to be done about this. A solution came to her, though. It was a horrible one, but it would give Lillith what she wanted, ultimately.

"I'll-I'll make a promise to you," Silvana said. She had to settle on something. "You save him now, and in a week... You can change me. I'll disappear forever, you'll never see me again. But it can't be now. Not yet. I have to prepare to leave... Please. I won't tell Zadist about our agreement. Just... Save him. Please. You've all lived so long, surely one puny human week will go by fast. Just give me that, I beg you."

Lillith bared her teeth. "Aww...she wants to have one last week to say goodbyes and I love yous." The female looked beyond Silvana, contemplating. "No. I don't want you accidently slipping up, or something along those lines. Now or never. Last chance, before I haul you out of here myself."

Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. Silvana drew a shaky hand back through her dark hair, her indigo eyes wide with panic. Goddamnit, why did she have to love Zadist so much, anyway? Why did she need him to be safe? Silvana could scarcely believe this was even happening, but, with a great deal of effort on her part and no less emotional pain and desperation, the girl agreed.

"F-Fine. I'll do it. Just save him, hurry. Time's running out. Cynn needs you to send practically an army, to the warehouse they have him in." She rattled off the address quickly, then squeezed her eyes shut. The girl tilted her head, offering her neck. The vampiress had to drink first, she wagered, and then she'd have to take some blood from her. It was going to be horrible and unpleasant for sure. And changing...? Probably painful. Very painful.

The vampiresses eyes gleamed, and she whipped out a cell phone, speed dialing. She spoke Czech into it, and barked off the address Silvana had listed, before snapping it shut. "Come." She said shortly, raising her chin, "I'll even let you stay in a spare bedroom during the change." She cackled, leading the way down the hallway, eventually opening a door into a dark, somewhat musty room.

Lillith moved close to the bed, beckoning to the human.

Silvana felt vaguely as though she were being marched to her own execution. And in a way, she was going to die. Her mortal life would end, and another would take its place. She didn't know what sort of person she would be, or how the change itself would feel. And Silvana did not know how she would take everything, or if she would even get to see Zadist when it was over. But... Lillith had not seemed interested in anything else. While this happened, she'd send her soldiers to take care of the mades, help Cynn... Save Zadist... And hopefully take out Melody once and for all.

Silvana moved to the bed, seating herself gingerly on the edge of it in an erect, tense posture. She was scared, beyond scared. At least as a changed vampire, she would still be able to see the sun and move around freely underneath it. "I'm ready," she said softly.

"Did I ask?" Lillith questioned absentmindedly, before gripping the female's chin. She lowered her head, biting deeply into Silvana's neck. It was most certainly different from Zadist, who'd always tried to be gentle. Lillith had no concern for Silvana's comfort, and it showed.

Unlike Zadist's bites, which had always been pleasant...Even pleasurable... Lillith Dvorak made no effort to put the girl at ease. She bit into her flesh without reining herself in, and the girl cried out with pain. It was like being stabbed with two tiny letter openers simultaneously, opening her vein and allowing her life-giving blood to pour from her. The bites had been so deep that the liquid simply flowed, nothing stopping it from leaving. And Silvana found herself, almost immediately, on the verge of unconsciousness from the pain and loss of blood. It didn't help that Whyte had already partaken from her blood before her arrival at the Dvorak residence. Silvana's eyes were clouding over with a dark haze, and her awareness began to fade gradually.

Lillith continued to drink greedily, until she could feel the girl dying in her arms. Her teeth removed from Silvana's skin then, and Lillith's coarse tounge ran over the wound. The woman stood, grinning at Silvana and dropping her on the bed, before lifting her wrist to her mouth. She bit into the skin, ripping it. The dripping limb was held over Silvana's face, almost tauntingly. Zadist's blood had been dark in color, but Lillith's was much darker, almost purple. "Drink." She cooed, a mocking tone in her voice. "Come on now!"

Silvana's hands sought the wrist, the blood that she was desperate for to avoid the grasp of Death. She grabbed it, bringing it to her mouth, and drinking from the oozing, dark flow. The blood tasted even worst at first than Zadist's had. It was like liquid fire... Deeply metallic, and burned and seared Silvana's throat and esophagus all the way down the her stomach, where it flared out. In fact, she could only handle a few mouthfuls of it before she started to writhe and sputter, letting go of the bleeding appendage and grasping at her throat. All at once, the burning spread from her stomach, seemingly into her veins. It was akin to being boiled alive, everything was white-hot and scalding. Silvana screamed openly, twisting around on the bed and finally curling into a fetal position, in which she moaned and wailed with her distress. She was so weak, on the edge of nothingness, and yet, she felt more pain than she'd ever felt in her life.

Even then, Lillith caught Silvana's hands, forcing more of her blood into the female's mouth. "Just because it only takes once doesn't mean you don't need a lot." She muttered to the writhing female. Eventually, however, she stood back from the bed, watching as Silvana cried out in pain, a smile sitting on her face. Now her family was hers once more...

Lillith left soon afterwords. If Zadist questioned, she would tell him Silvana begged to be turned, wanted to rush off and help herself. And with all her tears, how could Lillith resist? The female chuckled.

It was two days until the fire finally subsided, dying down to a faint tingling, and finally nothing. Silvana had spent the majority of the time writhing and shrieking intermittently between long periods of painful repose that might be described by some people as a shallow sleep. She had many bizarre dreams, mostly grotesque, of violent images she couldn't entirely make out, but that disturbed her. At some point, when it ended, Silvana jerked upright, awake and intensely aware of her surroundings.

She felt different. It wasn't so much that her mind had changed. Her personality had seemingly remained intact. As far as she knew she was the same person, save for the anger brewing underneath her other more neutral moods. Like she had some new temper that hadn't been there before, a volatile one akin to a natural disaster in its own right. But the majority of the changes had occurred in her physical anatomy. Her skin was pasty, almost grayish. She had twisting, bluish veins, like Melody had. But they were not as pronounced, maybe a bit lighter. Silvana considered that it was due to the fact that Lillith had changed her, rather than another of the vampires.

And every sense seemed enhanced. Silvana saw minute details on the woodwork, fabric. Everything crystal clear and in vibrant color despite the darkness. All objects had a unique scent, including herself... Which was a sort of bittersweet, musky floral... Something. The girl no longer had words for these things. And her hearing. With even the slightest movement, she heard a very faint rustling of the bed and the creaking of the wood beneath it. Silvana was lost. But no sooner had she the time to revel in these things than her throat seemed to parch with a severe, maddening thirst. As though she had not drank water for a week and needed it or she would die.

The girl doubled over in pain, thirst in her throat and hunger pangs in her stomach mingling together. "Grrrrrrrrr!" Suddenly, the girl was capable of growling, gnashing her teeth together. But they clashed, because she seemed to have fangs now, that had extended a bit, protruding over her lips due to her need for nourishment.

There was another form in the room, though he was sitting quietly, observing Silvana's actions. As the newly changed vampire stood, and growled, the white haired mass copied the movement. As she doubled over, Zadist moved to her side quickly, his face unsmiling and hard.

"Silvana." He called out softly, before lifting his wrist, holding it out in an offering.

Despite her heightened senses, Silvana had not recognized Zadist's presence in the room. She shrank away from him, even though he offered his wrist to her. Mostly out of shame, and agony. Memories flooded her mind, of the night before the change. What she'd been trying to avoid, what she'd lost. And her promise to Lillith. She would have to leave Zadist, now. He couldn't be with her in this state. And her certainly would not love her anymore. What if he was angry?

Silvana grabbed a nearby pillow, burying her face in it and moaning again. She was so unbearably hungry, but she didn't want Zadist to see her like this. It killed her. At least he was okay...

Zadist watched her, outwardly showing no expression. His Silvana, his fragile, eccentric little mate... Zadist shuddered, before lifting his wrist to his own mouth, tearing the skin and letting his blood leak out. He leaned over on the bed, attempting to tug the pillow away. If she got just a whiff of his blood...

It didn't take much for Silvana to catch the scent of the blood. She suddenly lost control of her own body, flinging the pillow aside and grabbing Zadist's wrist. She reveled in the aroma of it for a millisecond, and the next her mouth was covering the wound and gulping the dark liquid down. When she was human, the blood had tasted toxic and unpleasant, at least at first. The flavor had improved, towards the end of the drinking. But now... It was metallic bitter, but with tones of tangy sweetness woven underneath. And her new, changed body adored it. After a while, Silvana pried herself off of her vampire's wrist, not wanting to take any more and risk hurting him. She didn't know Zadist's limits.

Her mouth was smeared with blood, and she scrubbed her mouth on the back of her hand. If she were still human, at this point Silvana would have blushed and murmured an apology. But she was too scared of what Zadist thought of her to say anything on her own. Her eyes itched a bit, because she wanted to cry. Though, she didn't seem able to just yet. The girl blinked a couple of times, to remove the abrasive sensation.

Oh, damn... It had been intoxicating, when Silvana was a human, to have her drink from him. Now, as Zadist watched the female's head bob and felt her pleasure at the taste, and the simple thought of knowing he was actually sustaining her drove him made. He wanted to pin her to the bed and-No. You know how it will be now.

Zadist flinched, though couldn't help his body's reacting. As Silvana tore away, the vampire leaned against the bed heavily. He'd lost quite a bit of blood, and stll hadn't healed from the wounds he'd aquired. His emerald eyes rovved over Silvana once more. And he'd thought she was beautiful before...Zadist forced his eyes away and willed his body to stop standing at attention.

It didn't work.

His voice was husky when he spoke. "I'll be back later. I'm going to teach you how to hunt and set up a place for you." Still, Zadist hesitated to leave. He didn't believe his mother when she told him Silvana wanted this. She'd done it. For him. Given up everything she cared for. How did you thank someone for that? especially when you loved them, but could no longer be with them?

Silvana refused to look directly at Zadist, because she knew he was lost to her forever. Once she was able to stand on her own, she'd whisk herself off to Europe. To Italy. She could live in a small town in Tuscany, like she wanted. Have a villa. Finish her courses online. On the bright side, being a vampire guaranteed that she would endure violent storms better than a lot of Storm Chasers.

...Who was she kidding? Silvana wasn't going to do anything like that, unless she could find an employer who conveniently looked over her odd skin and everything else. Besides, she... It broke her heart, if she still had one, that she would have to leave everyone and everything now. Especially Zadist.

"I don't want to hunt," Silvana stated simply. "I'm going to be like Lye. I'm only going to drink bagged, donated blood. I will never, ever, ever kill. Ever." As if she'd not said enough 'ever's to get the point across. If it had not been evident to the male vampire yet, he now had evidence to demonstrate that she had not changed with her body. Her mind was still as eccentric and determined as ever to be Silvana. The Silvana Zadist had loved in the first place.

The same thing seemed to cross Zadist's mind, and pain flickered across his features before he could school them into his mask. "For at least fifty years, if a newborn vampire is made legally, they are placed under someone's care. I'm your someone. And you don't have to kill, but you must know how, if it comes down to it. You can drink without killing. I believe I've prove-" Zadist cut his words off, frowning and looking away.

Finally, he turned away, striding to the door. He called out over his shoulder, "Get used to the new sensations. I'll be back a bit later."

Fifty years? That was impossible. Silvana was not going to stick around for even another month, if it meant enduring the torment of not being able to touch, kiss, or be held by Zadist ever again. She would rather be put under the care of someone else, that she had a platonic relationship with. But perhaps this had been Lillith Dvorak's intention all along, to cause simultaneous misery to the both of them by binding them together in this situation... Where everything was horrible and refused to end. What did Silvana have now, if not forever? And she wasn't going to spend forever in Zadist's wake, pining over him every waking second. The girl consented finally, nodding when the man said she needed to know how to hunt, if it came to that. Somehow, it didn't seem too difficult in reality. All she had to do was physically act the violent things in her head that she'd never done as a human. For instance, stabbing Melody in the chest. She would happily do that now, as a vampire.

"See you later," Silvana muttered crossly, watching with her peripheral vision as the male strode from the chamber and out into the hallway, leaving her alone with her thoughts and bizarre new existence to ponder. Why was he so obedient, anyway? Here she'd given up everything to save him, but now because she was changed he would never touch her again. Zadist had done the very same thing with Melody, except this time he knew what Silvana felt for him. It was so not fair. He was a coward. Men. Who needed men?

Silvana growled faintly, and then moved to the window. She brushed the curtains gingerly to the side, her vision met with darkness. Of course she'd woken up in the middle of the night. What she really, really wanted to do, was open the windowsill and jump out. Run away and go angst somewhere under a tree. But she couldn't. Crappy. She knew how Louis from Interview with a Vampire felt now. It was very easy to be emo about this turn of events.

It was a little over a half hour later that Zadist opened Silvana's door and moved into the room, leaning against the bed gingerly, as if his back was bothering him. "Had enough time? Let's go."

Silvana had spent an unknown amount of time at the window, simply watching figures pass and leaves rustle on trees with the wind. Standing for long periods of time hadn't bothered her. Her legs didn't feel tired or stiff. But she heard the faint creak of the door, and then the quiet pad of stalking feet moving into the room. And, the scent she'd now pinned down as Zadist. It was the most appealing scent she'd known in her life, one that made her desire him with every fiber of her being. The aroma clung to every part of him--his skin, his hair, in his blood. It made Silvana angry. But she whirled around, moving away from the window and past the male vampire leaning against her bed, without a single word in response. She was pissed off, and he could know about it, for all she cared. Silvana stopped in the hall, just outside of the room, waiting for the vampire to join her and then lead her to their destination.

Zadist watched her move past him, puzzled. He'd caught a whiff of desire (And almost pinned her against the window to take her from behind...) then anger flooded from her, though he didn't smell it. It was more like waves of radiation. Zadist sighed, before moving into the hallway and down the stairs. He led her to the backyard, where a female wearing a metal collar was hooked to a large post in the ground, rather like a dog.

Without anything further, Zadist began instucting Silvana on proper puncture spots, how to bite, and when to bite. The human clearly wasn't used to vampires, and by the end of the lesson was crying and trembling. Zadist stepped away, guesturing to her, "Now, put it to use."
