"Why?" Silvana said, dropping the stick back onto the ground. She did not move; she did not face him. For all she knew, Zadist wished he could have drank the man's blood back there, as much as the rest of them had. Even now, and every second of the day, he craved blood and screaming and murder like all the other vampires. If she had any sense at all, she would accept his offer to take her home and never bother her again. The girl would be certainly safer that way. But... He... "Do you want to get rid of me? Do you want me to go away so that... You can go to vampire dinner parties and actually eat?" She squeezed her eyes shut, attempting to hold back the sobs that would undoubtedly rise if she did not maintain self control. She would not let the man know she was crying, unless he could already smell her tears. "In that case, just leave me here... Go find... Some girl in an alley... I... I'm trying to be strong, okay?"

Zadist faltered, unsure of himself or what to say. "No, I don't want you traumatized anymore. I don't want you with someone you can't even touch because you are so disgusted. I want you happy." He flinched, but ignored the jibe about the woman, shuffling his feet, "Come on, Silvana, "Zadist continued in a hypnotic tone, "Come to the car. I'll get you home, where you'll be safe, alright?"

Silvana was too angry to listen to him, especially when he claimed that she was disgusted by him. She was disturbed, yes, but could he honestly expect anything else? He had been a vampire all his life, and she had been a human all of hers. And his kind? They FED from her kind! She should be afraid of him, she should be wanting him to leave her forever! He should have killed her when he had the chance, but he didn't. And now Silvana was convinced that there was something more to these predators, even if they did not give it away at first.

"I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME, DAMNIT!" Silvana yelled, and like the stupid idiot she was, she jumped to her feet and took off across the grass. "I DON'T WANT TO FORGET YOU, YOU CAN'T MAKE ME AND--WHOOOAAA!"

There was a grassy hill beside the highway, and she was trying to make it to the top and then the other side. Of course, she tripped when she made it to the top, and rolled down it. Ungracefully. To a ditch at the bottom. Her clothing was now completely stained with mud. The girl curled into a little ball; the fetal position, and sobbed.

"Silvana!" Zadist cried out, rushing after the female as she fell. At the bottom, he turned her over gently, unable to still the growling floating from him, though he brushed away her tears gently. "I don't understand, laska. Why don't you want to go home, why don't you want to forget, when you seem so disgusted with me?"

Silvana knocked his hands from her away gently, and covered her face with her hands. She moaned softly into them, a couple of sobs shaking her body. She could ask the same of him. Why did he want to be around her when all he wanted to do was eat her, anyway? It was so hypocritical of him to ask her that question! "I'm not disgusted," she sniffled. "I was scared... Put yourself in my position, Zadist... For the love of God... The whole time... *sniff*..."

She cradled her head in her hands, burying her face against her knees so that her voice was stifled to a mumble; she did not want the vampire to see her weeping face. "...*sniff*... I thought I was going to die..." She reached out, though, and grasped lightly at his sleeve, as though holding him there if he felt so bad about it that he tried to go. "But I like you...I don't want to forget you... But your family wants to eat me..." She moaned despairingly. "They hate me..."

Zadist's arms tugged out of her grip, and slid around her, cradling the human to him, trying to keep her from the desire his body was showing. "Silvana, laska, born vampires. We are much more savage than made vampires. Made vampires simply have a tendency to go insane. They don't have you, just think of you as food. They don't know how to think any differently. I'll never let them hurt you. Don't worry about that....I don't understand how you can't be disgusted with me. I am with myself. Silvana. I don't think we can be together. The whole time, at that table, I could smell your fear. I wanted you. I...wanted to hurt you." He hesitated, "I...still do. I've decided, this isn't the world for you. I'm going to take you to a movie, then home. You'll wake up and think this is one of your strange dreams."

Silvana could scarcely remember a time when she had been this angry. Zadist was not even listening to her. He thought she was weak, and that she could not handle this life. Her mind chided her, telling her that he was right. She needed to stay out of trouble, and not involve herself with him and his kind any longer. He even admitted to it--he'd wanted to hurt her. Right now, she assumed, he desired her blood. The vampire wanted to make her scream after all... It had only been one unorthodox night that he had taken such gentle care of her. Now he was tired of her and saw her like he saw all other human. He did not want her anymore, just her body.

"You're tired of me already," Silvana whispered, wrenching herself out of his grasp and stumbling to her feet. She was dirty, and she knew when she got home her parents would flip out. The girl no longer wanted to see a movie, or do anything with Zadist. If he spent any more time with her, and she could tell from the way he was acting, he would kill her despite his best intentions. "Take me home. But my memory is staying intact. I'm sorry I let you down. I guess I'm too weak for you."

The vampire watched her with a stony face as she pulled away, and he laughed hoarsely. "No, laska. Not tired of you. I want you. Too much. I'm afraid I will hurt you. And yes, you'll go home. But, no, I'll need to alter your memories. I'm sorry." Zadist stood, moving toward the car. "Come, laska..."

"I don't care if you hurt me," Silvana said, averting her eyes from him. He just wanted her blood. He did not want her... Like... That... She was not interesting to him. Maybe she should have refused to go with him to see his family. If he was going to treat her like this after her understandable frailty. They still weren't scarier than hurricanes and tornadoes. "If I can handle hurricanes, I can handle you." What was he, her father? "Anyway, it doesn't matter," she said, opening the car door herself and crouched inside. She slammed it as hard as she could muster the strength to. Which was not hard, considering how exhausted and spent she was already. "If you wanted me, you would listen to me. If I say I want to try, then I want to freaking try. " She fixed the man with a determined, scathing look. "And I am NOT going to forget you, no matter what weird vampire magic you use."

Zadist growled deeply, moving to the car door and wrenching it open. He tugged the female out, pressing himself against her, growling fiercly. "You want me to listen? You can...handle me?" Without waiting for a reply, the vampire crushed his mouth the hers viciously, his growl continuous. "You want to try?" He pressed another kiss down, pushing her against the car, crushing her. "You want to see what I'm capable of, what you are wanting to try with, Silvana? Huh?" He shook the human roughly.

Silvana floundered usefully underneath Zadist's forcefully kiss, painfully shoved against the car and pinned. Her resistance was met with an iron grasp. She could not move the vampire no matter how she heaved and struggled to get away. But still, she was infuriated, at her helplessness, and at the man's behavior. "I know I can't beat you," she moaned, her legs buckling together, practically hanging from his hands and held down by his body... Which was, as far as she was concerned, as hard and unmovable as a rock. "My body is... Unngh.... Weak." She averted her gaze from him, unable to look him in the eyes. "But not my mind. My mind is not. And my mind thinks that it can... Be with you... And survive. I have strong willpower. It kept me from crying in front of your mother, you know. So... Do what you want. Hurt me. I'll still like you. If you don't like that, then kill me right now."

Zadist growled louder, wrenching her body up. "Your mind can be the strongest in the world. If you body can't stand up to me, then where does it leave you?" The vampire turned them easily, tossing Silvana to the ground at his feet.

(Uh....Zadist is about to get real mean....should we take this off of Mene for a bit?)

Silvana sighed heavily, climbing off of the man and snuggling up beside him. She did have to go how now, unfortunately. Thankfully, from the look of the clock, this roll in the hay had lasted perhaps half an hour. She could get back to her house within the designated time, if she left within ten minutes. The drive was not huge or anything. Silvana would have to call a taxi to take her, though, to serve her "car breaking down" alibi. "Sadly, I have to go," she replied, pressing her lips gently to the skin just underneath the vampire's ear, at the nape of his neck. "This time it's not vampires coming to kick me out of your apartment, it's my missed curfew. My father might hate you for a while..." The girl sat up and went to find the pajamas. She still had no undergarments to speak of.

"Are you sure you don't have girls' clothes around her somewhere?" she asked. "Like Cynn's or something? I'm pretty scrawny and could fit into them. My parents will definitely be suspicious about my wearing pajamas when I get back."

"Just tell them you wanted a new pair." Zadist informed her, lifting an eyebrow. "I could alter their memories tommorrow night...you could spend tonight with me. Actually, Silvana..." Zadist sat up, glancing at her seriously. "You are over eighteen....you're my mate. I was thinking, perhaps, maybe, you would like to move in with me. Naturally, you could use my car during the day, and I'll get some human food and..." The vampire faltered, uncertainty showing in his eyes.

Silvana's jaw dropped. Move... In? WHELP, her mind declared, At least he doesn't want to get rid of you now! Maybe it's your bedroom moves that blew his mind. He wants some of that every night. You'll never sleep again. Now, Silvana was not nearly as opposed to the idea as one might think. She thought that, maybe she would. Except that she'd only known Zadist two days, her parents were going ballistic over her absence, and Lucy had seen the man before. So not only could her friends never meet her man, but... Well, it seemed a bit premature to move in with him so quickly, even in lieu of her evident addiction to him. She would stay the night, for sure, if Zadist promised to fix her parent's memories of the night... To say that she had made it back before curfew and nothing amiss had occurred.

"Well... If you'll alter their memories, I will spend the night with you. But!" she held up a finger before Zadist could interrupt her. "You have to make certain I get my homework, which is at home, and that I get to school on time. If it's too complicated, I will have to take a taxi after all."

As to the moving in question. "I actually might consider moving in with you, Zadist, except that I have some concerns to discuss with you beforehand. But do you think we can talk about it tomorrow? If I'm ever going to get any sleep...." The girl laughed.

Zadist grinned micheviously, whipping out his cell and speaking the strange laguage into the cell phone. His arms curled around the female, holding her against him tightly. "You agreed to spend the night. Well, my night is day. So no school. You're sick, what a pity. Stupid rain that we got caught in, huh? I'll help you catch up." Zadist promised, nuzzling the female's neck. "What's on your mind, laska? What are these concerns?"

Well, the girl had to hand it to the vampire. He thought of everything, literally. Alibis, loopholes in her words that he could twist to suit his purposes. And now, Silvana found herself spending the remainder of the night and the entire next day with Zadist. She would miss all of her classes, not turn in her homework... And pleading sickness? Aye! She felt far from sick, now. In fact, the young lady felt rather grand. The vampire definitely needed to help her catch up. Her studies weren't exactly child's play--Physics and Calculus in particular. She could handle Chemistry and her actual Atmospheric Science class, though. Silvana loved reading about weather patterns and storm systems.

"You think of everything, don't you?" Silvana laughed, snuggling up against the vampire's chest. He was much nicer here in his apartment. Away from public scrutiny and the judging eyes of his family members. "My concerns are... Really... Do you want to talk about this now?" She yawned against the back of her hand.

"Yes." Zadist answered gently, "I think of everything, and yes, now. You forget, laska, during the day is when I'll be sleeping, may as well stay awake with me, just a bit longer...?" The vampire nuzzled her, before poking out his bottom lip in an imitation of a pout.

Silvana laughed. She nuzzled the vampire back, and truly, did want to savor his good behavior when she got it. In comparison with the bad mood from earlier that evening? Well, she hardly wanted to go back to that. So perhaps if she continued to encourage Zadist to be nice, she would do so more often. And chances were, if she did eventually move in with him, she would experience a lot more of this genial behavior rather than his.. "Outside" person. Which was a whole lot crueler. "All right," she agreed, propping herself up on her elbows. She stroked the vampire's hair back from his face as she spoke. "My issues are more with... The timing. I cannot move in with you right away. We have to 'date' by human standards. So, at least a month. If we last that long, then yes. I will move in with you. My parents may still have a problem with it, but I won't care. I will be twenty by then anyhow."

She kissed Zadist's forehead before continuing. "My next concern is your interaction with Lucy. No doubt she remembers you. I can hardly ever introduce you to my friends if you tried to kill one of them. Remember?" Silvana suck her tongue out at him playfully.

Zadist frowned at the female. "I cannot wait a month. Tell your parents your getting out on your own, and that I have an extra room. You've over eighteen, what can they say? As for Lucy..." The vampire fell silent, staring at the ceiling. "Well, I could meet her and try to convince her it was a joke, or just kill her." Without truly looking towards the female, Zadist leaned over, sucking her tongue into his mouth, toying with it for a moment before laying back.

"Why can't you wait a month?" Silvana asked, a bit alarmed. Surely time was nothing to him. He had lived so long, why would he be impatient for her to live with him? A month was, even to her... Nothing. Besides, she'd have to get her things packed and ready, make arrangements. Financially she only had a bit of money saved up from part time jobs during breaks and earlier that year. Silvana could hardly pay for her schooling and meals and textbooks. And while she was certain that the vampire had more than enough money to pay for those things, Silvana was somewhat independent. She wanted to be able to support herself up to a point. And she did not want to leave her parents on bad terms. "I would rather not leave my parents upset. I love them, you know." She moaned a little into his French kiss, but continued when he pulled back from them. "And Lucy is actually convinced it was a prank. Thought your fangs were fake and that the eyes were contact lenses. But still, she won't like you right away."

"Then for Lucy we will go with option two. I'll just kill her." Zadist answered simply, as if that was solved, "And I can't wait a month. I like having you here...it gets...lonely." He finished lamely. "And they wouldn't be upset...I can even make sure of it, with a little tweaking, it will seem like I've been here a bit longer..."

Zadist hesitated, glancing back at her, "Will you move in with me, Silvana?"

"Don't kill Lucy," Silvana stated, frowning. At first she'd thought the vampire was joking, but as he repeated the solution... It became evident to her that he had been serious. It bothered her a little, but she was certain he would do no such thing as long as she gave him a firm and resounding no. "She's a bit ditzy, but she's still my friend. And Marie was well." And... Zadist seemed to be quite desperate for the girl to move in with him, so she sighed her consent. "All right, we're going to compromise. In a week. I will move in with you in a week. Is that acceptable? Until then you are free to see me as often as you want."

She sat up on the bed, cross-legged. When that happened, there would be rules set up. The girl didn't want the vampire to think he would always get his merry way. She would pay for a lot of the expenses, such as her food during the week. Even if he took care of the university tuition and books. On top of that, she would have homework time set aside for her... Among other things. The girl needed to sleep more than three hours a night, after all. But she would discuss that with him when the time came.

Zadist frowned, furrowing his brow at Silvana. "Why not, if she threatens us? And fine a week. During which I get to see you as often as I want. So you may as well stay here. Naked, preferably..."

Watching her sit up, Zadist did the same, lifting her chin the gaze at her, his eyes narrowing. "There's more." He announced with a sigh. "Alright, what else. May as well get it all out at once, ne?"

"Because I like Lucy," Silvana said. "She's been my friend for three years and I would like to see her alive and well. Sort of like a younger sister. Foolish. But lovable in her own way." It was amusing, despite the intensity of the subject, how difficult it was to dissuade the vampire from his proposed solution--offing her friend. He sounded like a mob boss or something. She supposed that Zadist's family was a bit like an undead Mafia. Kind of creepy. "No, I have things to do this week," Silvana laughed. "Like pack my things, make arrangements with my school... Preparations for moving. But you can see me when you want, yes. As long as you let me sleep. I can't stay up all night indefinitely. One of these days I will crash."

And... Zadist was strangely perceptive of her moods and thoughts, even if he could not exactly read what Silvana was thinking the entire time. "Okay," she sighed. "Just we need some ground rules, because I feel like I have to agree with everything you say... If I live here you have to:" Silvana started counting on her fingers...

"a) Let me pay my human food grocery shopping expenses, even if you take care of the university tuition and books,

b) Set aside time for me to do my homework when I get back from school, and help me with it when I ask you. No distractions in that time, like sex,

c) Let me get enough sleep, because like I said, I can't stay up indefinitely and I have school in the daytime when -you- sleep,

and d) Allow me to go out by myself to see Lucy and Marie, my parents, or whatever. I'm not gonna be here 24/7. Do we have a deal?"
