The night was long with the crying and the frustration in the air. When the next morning came Vladimir was at the church early to make sure everything was in order. He looked handsome and worried. IF she made a scene today then the preacher might not agree to marry them. God if the king wasn't such a wimp about this he'd be more confident. Sighing he closed his eyes standing in front a window trying to make sure he looked good. He sneaked into the chapple and sat praying. "Dear god, please, I know I have killed many. Can I not have happiness? Please help her learn to love me. I will do everything but her spirit is strong and you come first." He whispered looking up at a cross.

Layola was being bathed by the maids. The whole time Layola felt empty inside she wanted to run away but Vladimir swore to kill innocent people if she did not marry him so what was she to do? They helped her out of the bath and began to brush her hair. The sprayed priceless perfumes on her the soon put on her wedding gown which made her look like a goddess. She looked into the mirror. The day that was supposed to be the happiest day of her life was the worse.

The Queen entered the room and gasped she was taken back by her daughter's beauty. " Layola there are not enough words to describe how lovely you look you are more then stunning. "I am sorry that the man you are about to marry is one that you hate"

"I am sorry as well mother more then you shall ever know" Layola stated sadly.

The king made sure everything was ready and by the afternoon everything was perfect. He waited by the carriage for his daughter and wife. Neither would speak to him. This he knew. Sighing he got word that his soon to be son in law was at the chapel. "God don't let this be a bad decision stand behind me. Help them find happiness." He muttered softly holding a rosary in his hand.

The maids helped Layola down the steps. The Queen followed behind her crying a bit lighter then the night before. Layola handed her mother a napkin. " I am doing this so no one will die...." Layola stated. Some of the maids were upset about what was going on they wished there sweet kind princess could be happy but it looked like that was to much to ask for. Layola tried to force a smiled but could not it's like she had forgotten how to smile.

The king helped his family into the carriage and then it took about fifteen minutes to get to the church. "Layola you may find happiness yet, please don't hate him before you give him a chance." He said simply before getting out and the church doors open. Vladimir waiting at the alter and everyone waiting for her to come down the isle.

" To late father I already hate him. Why couldn't you just let me go to the convent?" Layola said with sadness in her eyes.
She looked out side the carriage at the church. She knew people were waiting but she did not want to enter.

The Queen looked at her. " Honey if we could get you out of this we would.....I am so sorry about this " The Queen hugged her daughter tightly. " Your father made a mistake I am sorry you must pay for it"

Vladimir sat impatiently waiting as he could see his gorgeous bride but he couldn't touch her he just stood there looking. He cursed the queen for not putting on a good face and the king for looking so sad when they first arrived but the king put on a happy face as he remembered why this marriage was taking place. He waited for his daughter so he could walk her up the isle.

Layola stepped out of the carriage and took her father's arm. She felt the afternoon sun shine down on her. She wanted nothing more then for this day to be over. She wanted to wake up from this nightmare. She saw her soon to be husband and she was filled with hate and disgust. Why was she cursed like this....

When the princess and king made it down the isle the king left her side and Vladimir took her hands. There was a rosary around his neck and a look in his eyes that made it look like he was sorry but at the same time excited. The general went through his vows and left only her's till the ceremony was over. And he could kiss her, finally.

The Princess dug her nails into his skin when he first held them soon she grew tried and just relaxed her fingers. The whole ceremony she was day dreaming trying to be anywhere but there. She hopped something would that could stop the ceremony but the chances of that happening were so slim she gave up on the sweet thought.When it Finally came her turn she said her vows just like her mom had told her to. She felt disgusted after the finale word.

Vladimir kept a smile on his face and ignored the nails. He smiled when she stopped. He'd indore the abuse for now. When she finally got tired he'd try and make her see why he chose her. He leaned in and kissed her lightly making sure not to kiss her in a way that she could bite him. He moved back and turned smiling at everyone. "Come my young bride, let us celebrate." He said simply.

Layola wanted to disappear but she knew she couldn't since all eyes were on her. She let him hold her hand. She faked a smile really well

Vladimir lead everyone to the feast just outside and smiled as he pulled out the chair to the right of him for his new wife. He kissed her hand lightly and sat down at the head of the table. On the other end was the King and the Queen. Before long everyone was eating something Vladimir specially. He didn't eat like pig though, he ate almost like a woman, often small bites and kept himself clean not wanting to disgust his wife anymore than she already was.

Layola Began to eat she was hungry she ate like a well mannered woman of her time. Layola watched her husband eat he ate like a woman which made her want to laugh but she held it in. The people seemed to be having a wonderful time at the party she was glad she did not want them to be unhappy. She finished eating and looked over at her mother who seemed better she was happy to see that her mother's mood was lifted

Vladimir thought of something that should put his bride in a better mood. "Layola, since this union was not of your choice or favor I had a room set up for you so we should not share a bed till your good in ready." He stated simply not meaning the honey moon wouldn't come but just that she had her own room to retreat to.

" Thank you Vladimir that is very thoughtful of you......" Layola looked at him with thankful eyes.
Layola was happy he was not going to force her to do anything she did not wish to do.

Vladimir nodded and smiled lightly. "Your welcome." He said before going back to his food. So he didn't completely ruin her life at least now she'd have a place to call her own. It weighed on his mind a little that he'd gotten so worked up the king had forced her into this much harder than originally thought. Looking down at the other end he watched the king laugh and joke and eat like a pig. Looking down he continued to eat but soon pushed the plate away and called it good.

Layola looked at her father laughing and smiling. She frowned a bit but tried to look happy for the people there.
She folded her hands on her lap and gazed up at the moon which was now out. She wished to be happy in life

As the evening progressed people left one by one and slowly even the king and queen left. Vladimir rose and offered Layola his hand. "I'll show you to your new home, and room." He said softly whistling softly a group of horses walked over and he kept the carriage door open for her not getting in till she did.

She got in and sat down she stared out of the window and looked at the moon. She made sure there was some space between them in the carriage. She was not completely convinced that he was a kind person so she would keep an eye on him at all times.

Vladimir got in and sat on the opposite side of the carriage. On the way back He smiled again before looking at her. He wouldn't push...he'd be gentle. She was gorgeous just, stubborn. And that could be worked around, slowly but surely. As they stopped at the large house the general got out first and ran around so she couldn't get out with out his help. Opening the door for her he offered his hand to help her out of the carriage. "Welcome home." He said softly.

Layola carefully stepped out she took his hand to be nice but she really didn't want to.
