Ava sighed. "A muse?" Ava pondered, and once again no expression played on her face. "I can see your hunger. Why make this easy on you," she asked him. She could feel the gun in the back of jeans, and she knew it most likely wouldn't hurt him. It would be a distraction, but she wondered how long it would work. She heard thudding and then vomiting as she saw a boy with open cuts on his arms run into the bathroom. She saw a figure holding a body walk off in the opposite direction, and her eyebrows shot up curiously.
Mason vomited a second time, the sound of Katie's neck snapping replaying in his head. An image of her being bitten, and then her neck spinning around followed it. He knew he had openly ran in front of a hunter and another contestant, but that was the farthest thing from his mind right now. He calmed himself for a second, tears had been falling down his face. His cheeks felt cracked and his eyes were sore. He glanced at the cuts and cursed, looking around the bathroom. He saw a roll of toilet paper, and for a second he almost laughed, before wrapping the paper around both of his cuts.

Laurette curiously watched as a man ran into the bathroom, and she heard the sound of vomiting and laughter. She assumed it was a contestant who had gone insane, and decided to check it out. She jumped out of her hiding spot, nodding towards Damien and the other girl, and ran into the bathroom. Her face expressionless, she slowly walked towards him, but stopped a few feet away. The guy really looked beaten up, and he had been crying. Pity welled up inside of her, but she didn't show it. She wasn't sure if this was a trap, or if this guy was going to attack her. She had trusted Damien, after all. Although, he hadn't killed her. Yet. "Do you need any help?" She offered, her voice soft.

Damien snorted, "Nah, just keeping her for last." he said, rolling his eyes of the idea of having a muse. He smirked darkly, his hand twitching a little. "Make it as hard as you want kid. I would welcome it." he answered, smirking before he too, raised an eyebrow. "Another hunter. The guy running away, no idea." he said, shrugging. He did smell the blood though, and his nostrils flared. So that was who got cut. He reached up and slashed toward the girls throat. He'd heard the new footsteps, from Laurette leaving. Not his problem right now.

Ava cocked her head to the side. "Poor guy," she said sadly and quietly. Ava jumped back as she saw her claw heading directly for her throat. Her eyes widened for a second, then went back down to normal size. However, she wasn't a smug person, so no triumph entered her mind or heart. "If you've kept her around this long she has to mean something to you," Ava said, shrugging as if nothing had happened. She glanced down and saw a small nick on her throat. She wiped of the blood, wiping it on the back of her pants and covered the wound.
Mason jumped back, his left hand quickly going back for his knife. He remembered he had dropped it and he groaned. He looked up the girl who had entered, sighing a bit in relief that it wasn't a hunter. "If by help you mean bringing her back to life, then yes," Mason said quietly. He sank down onto the floor, head in his wrapped up hands. He wiped his face off, staring at the ground defeatedly.

Laurette understood, and her eyes narrowed a bit. The bathroom was silent, and the light seemed to be flickering on and off. She examined the walls; there were blood prints everywhere. People must have used this as a hiding place she thought to herself, and then noticed a puddle of blood on the ground, and it looks like that didn't work out too well for them. She crouched down beside him, looking down at the ground. "I'm afraid I can't do that."

He shook his head. "Nope. Just 16. Figured to give her a chance to find an exit. If not, she dies." he said simply. There was nothing else but that. He smirked as he glanced at her throat. "Got you." he said. Though it wasn't by much, it meant had she been any slower, she would've had a nasty wound. He tried again, feigning one for her throat again before going to her stomach quickly. He would be aiming for all vital points soon.

"So you say," Ava said, shaking her head slightly. She jumped back quickly, this time not getting cut. "Won't happen again," she said, smiling slightly. She had trained for months on end for this, and it was beginning to kick in. She glanced around quickly, then locked her eyes on the hunter. "What a shame, we didn't even get introduced," she said mock sincerely. She broke into a sprint, zig zagging across the hall quickly. She did a small cart wheel to boost her speed, landing on the other side of the hall.
"Offer appreciated," Mason said to her, glancing around the bathroom. His eyes rested on the ceiling, staring at it sadly. "And I was too late," he whispered, more to himself then to her. His anger towards himself grew quickly. He glanced at the girl, his jaw clenched tightly.

Damien grinned a little chasing after her with ease. He was giving her a chance, since he could just shift there. it was fun chasing though. The girl was sort of smart as well, not running straight. Maybe she'd been set up here to get the hunters a challenge. "We'll learn each others names after you die." he said, now right behind her as he slashed for her shoulder.

Laurette stared at him a little blankly. She rested her head on her knees. "Well, there's nothing you can do now." She said, matter-of-factly. Laurette wasn't going to comfort him by giving him false hope, and she wasn't really one to know how it felt to love a person. She had felt feelings toward a man once, but she was never in love. After a moment of silence, she raised her head and smirked a little. "She's still here, you know. Well, sort of."

Ava sighed watching as he ran after her. She continued dodging back, her long legs barely touching the ground as she did so. "Aw but what's the fun in that," she said, toying with him slightly. She knew she wouldn't go without at least another wound, but she would keep dodging as much as she could. "Is that all you got?" She pondered, her German accent playing through soprano voice. She saw a door and opened it, and a staircase as well as a banister. She shut the door and slid down the banister quickly, glancing back up.
"Thanks for the honesty," Mason said, not being sarcastic in any way. He looked at her again, no expression on his pale face. "Her body is, but it actually being Katie... That's a different story," he said but gave her a polite smile. He heard running and voices in the hall, and wondered what was happening. He was still too shaken to stand up, though the tears had dried quickly.

Laurette smiled kindly, but her eyes narrowed a bit as she stared at the blood on the ground. "There may still be a little bit of Katie in her." She said quietly, remembering her talk with Damien. She looked up at him, her expression hard to read. "If that were not the case, I would have been dead by now." She heard the voices and the running, and she wasn't exactly sure who she was cheering for. A part of her hoped that Damien would win, but she knew he wasn't exactly on her side either.

Mason smiled back. "So you've befriended the hunter," he asked, the assumption popping into his mind. He listened to the running, and he gave a small applaud in his head to whoever the contestant was. He'd had enough of the hunters, and was obviously not on their side.

He smirked, shifting down the stairs, kicking her from behind. "Not really." he said, having activated one of the traps on the banister, making a flurry of darts shoot towards the girl, bypassing him. He had other tricks he could do, though he was a bit disappointed that she wasn't truly fighting back.

The assumption made her feel a little uncomfortable. "I wouldn't call him my friend." She said stubbornly, sitting back against the wall. Some of the blood had gotten on her, but it didn't seem to bother her at this point. If a hunter wanted to get her, she'd be more than happy to fight them off. "We have a bit of an.. agreement." Laurette wasn't sure what she felt about Damien, but she felt like she trusted that he would keep his end of the deal.

Ava was kicked from behind and she lurched downwards. She rolled, making her body like a human ball. She landed on her knees and instinctively ducked. Darts past by her, narrowly missing her. "Didn't think so," she said to him. She rubbed her knees for a second and felt a pain in her ankle, but she ignored it, jumping up after the darts stopped. For now, dodging was her tactic. She knew fighting back would just get her hurt more and weaker quicker.
Mason scoffed as he looked at her. "Katie did the same thing, trusting that damned hunter on an agreement. He may 'stick' to it, but not how you want him to," he said, looking intently at her. He wanted to help her, knowing that she would most likely die anyways, that's how the games worked. But he was cautious.

Laurette didn't know who this Katie was, but she must have been silly to trust a hunter the way she did. She looked up at the ceiling, frowning a bit. "I don't expect him to spare my life, but I know at the moment he has no reason to kill me. His food is out there." She motioned towards the door, a smirk on her face. "He even said so himself, he's saving me for last." When she said this, her voice sounded amused, as if she were only saying that as a joke.

"Wow. You think that's a good thing? That he's saving you for last?" Mason said to her, a slight hint of anger entering his voice. "Katie did it for me, to save me. Oh that jackass kept his promise. He killed her and left me. But not before toying with us both and finding every loop hole imaginable," he said, his gaze stony and hard. "What has humanity come to? So you'd rather wait for another person to die?" He said and stood up. "Do what you please," he said, bowing to her slightly. He walked out the door roughly and into the basement. He wanted to help the girl, but he knew this was like a suicide mission.

Damien chuckled, amusement in his eyes. So she was more of a defense type. At least that's what it was looking like for the moment. "Smart girl." he said, swiftly throwing another kick at her neck once she was up. He would just work on getting her tired out. Or, simply lead her up the stairs again. He activated another trap by moving one of the frames on the wall, some flames shooting from the wall, almost like a wall where she was standing.

"Coming from a hunter, I suppose I should say thanks." Ava jumped back, then glanced up as the door opened. "What the hell," she mumbled under her breath. She could take care of herself, and she didn't want a person to die trying to help her. Her eyes narrowed and she watched as flames shot up around her. By luck, or fate, she wasn't touched by them, and she stood in her spot, staring past the hunter and at the door.

Damien paused, glancing at the door that opened. What the hell? he shook it off his prey wasn't someone else, it was her. He ran past the fire and toward the girl. "Take it as you will." he said, shrugging before he grabbed at her neck. She wasn't fighting back, thus he was getting bored rather quickly. The appearance of another person also chanced that they got in the way.

Laurette watched as he walked out of the room, a smirk on her face. She swiftly got up and ran, sidestepping so that she was in front of him. They were close to the battle, close enough for the two to see them, but she knew they weren't currently a part of it. "Don't be rude." She said, smiling playfully. "I never said I wished for anybody else to die. But by keeping myself away from being his target, I can learn more about this silly game. And the hunters." She looked over at Damien with the corner of her eyes, but then her gaze rose to Mason again.

Ava was knocked slightly off balance as he grabbed her neck. She didn't make the choking noises she was expected to make, instead she held her breath and frowned. Her legs were her best weapon. She grabbed onto his hands and pulled herself up slightly, slamming her left knee into his crotch. She did a roundhouse kick, bringing her leg up to his head harshly. She took a deep breath while she could and released herself from his grip. She gasped for air and then looked back up at the hunter.
"I don't get you. It's not being rude. It's helping someone. If you'd rather watch as someone dies, that's your choice. I don't care what it's for." He pushed past her quickly, darting down the stairs. He saw darts on the ground and grinned. He picked them up, beginning to throw them at the hunter as forcefully as he could. He knew it wouldn't harm him, but any distraction was valuable. He kept one dart in his pocket, for a later use.

Laurette frowned as she looked after him. "Fool. You aren't going to be able to kill him." She said quietly to herself, standing by the doorway. She watched the action, her face expressionless. "You'll only entertain him more. And make him want to kill you even faster." She watched as they both struggled to defeat Damien. "Suicide." She muttered.

He winced a little at the hits, but did hold his head lightly, growling. That had hurt more than the kick to his privates. "That might have hurt more if I were alive." he said, narrowing his eyes at her. That did hurt, but thankfully it'd been done before, so it only really hurt like a smack anywhere else. The head though, was sensitive. He swiped his feet under her to knock her down. About to attack again, lo and behold. There was the idiot who was trying to distract him. He growled a little. "Back the hell off." he called out to the man, ignoring the darts and keeping his focus on the girl. He had to admit though, it was getting a little more amusing, as shown by his smirk. He made an 'o' shape with his mouth and blew down at the girl, the air getting icier.

"But you admit it hurt," Ava grinned smugly. Now she knew his sensitive area. And surprisingly it was his head. She tumbled down to the ground, her leg folding beneath her. She cringed as she landed on the ankle painfully. The air being blown on her made her shudder, and she rolled out from underneath it. She also glared at the newcomer. This was her fight, and she didn't want anybody else involved in it. "Go," she yelled to the man at the stairs, then swiftly stood up. She reached behind her, pulling out her gun. She knew it wouldn't kill him, but she knew it would hurt him. She swung it on her fingertips, the butt now in the air. She raised her arm and brought it down forcefully onto his head, hearing the SMACK as metal met bone. She then pulled it back, hitting him a second time on the other side. She twirled it again, firing two bullets at his head.
[Mason launched the darts at the hunter's head. He heard Laurette muttering and he turned. "What do you suggest I do then," he said angrily, his arms shaking slightly in rage. It wasn't towards Laurette but more towards himself and Airx. He glanced back to the two fighting, watching as the battle ensued. "Maybe suicide is the only option left," he said quietly to himself.
