Jake help with the nots and when she metioned the bit about killing each other he grabbed his sword "i can kill you if you want" he joked as he placed it back on the ground "ok Mason, how long does it have to be?" he asked as he kept making sure that the nots were well notted "i will go first to make sure the rope is safe"

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 08:04 PM

Mason laughed at Laurette's joke. "I think I'm going to go with trying to get out first," he said back and chuckled again. "Well, the house is two stories. We're in the attic so technically we're three stories up. Try to make it as long as you can. When you climb down, try to stay as far away from the windows as you can. Just in case a hunter tries to grab you or cut the rope," Mason warned. He found a latch on the window, hidden under paint and cobwebs. He smiled and very slowly pushed it to the side, unlocking the window. "Let's just hope the window doesn't make too much noise when we go down," he said and ran his eyes over the window again. "Are you sure Jake?" He asked, raising an eyebrow in Jake's direction.

dragonjake 07-13-2010 08:07 PM

Jake got up and chuckled, he walked closer to the window "yes im sure, i don't want either one of you two falling to your doom because of one little mistake, any way, if i do fall, i will surely not come back, after all the hunters are in the house... that means if i die outside i will stay dead" he said making it sound like a good thing "i will go forst and you can't make me change my mind"

Ewe 07-13-2010 08:12 PM

"I'd volunteer myself, but I'm too small. It may work for me, but who knows if it'll hold you guys?" Laurette said, pulling on a knot. The rope looked long, but she wasn't sure it was long enough. Looking around, she noticed that they had run out of blankets. She grabbed her coat and ripped it so that it's as long as it could be. Her coat was made from a rough material, and would be able to hold a person. She decided that this was for the best, and sighed a little. She tied it to the end of the last blanket, as tight as she possibly could. "There."

dragonjake 07-13-2010 08:15 PM

Jake quickly turned his head "yes, now we just have to tie it to something stable" he said as he looked around "this part of the cuboard" he said as he grabbed one end of it and tied it to the cuboard thats was near the window "alright then" he said as he threw it out the window and took a deep breath "here it goes"

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 08:18 PM

Mason quickly pushed the window open as Jake threw the blanket rope. Luckily the window slid open silently except for the tiniest of creaks. He let out a relieved sigh. "Just in case I'll stay by the rope to make sure it doesn't slip," Mason said and knotted the rope a third time around the cupboard. He'd never forgive himself if Jake tumbled to his death because Mason didn't tie the rope tight enough. He smiled reassuringly at Laurette. "You didn't have to use your coat you know," he said.

Ewe 07-13-2010 08:20 PM

Laurette looked up at him and smiled, her eyes calm. "You guys need it more than I do." She said simply, standing up and leaning on the window. It make a creaky sound, but it seemed stable. She Looked down, and then pulled herself back in. "The rope is just long enough. You may have to jump a bit, but I think we can make it."

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 08:22 PM

Mason looked out the window as well, being carefully not to lean on it. He glanced back at the hole they had come through, seeing the wardrobe still firmly in front of it. He knew it most likely wouldn't stand a chance against a hunter, but he kept those thoughts out of his head. He turned his gaze back to Laurette. "It's perfect. Thank you," he said, nodding towards her coat.

dragonjake 07-13-2010 08:27 PM

Jake climbed out of the window "if i fall, i wont yell, and you must not scream or yell, just forget about me and try and find another way out" he said and then he slowly started to climb down "oh my god, this is worse then i thought" he mumbled, he accidently missplaced his hand and slipped down the rope, he quickly grabbed on and was frozen where he was "oh my god, oh my god" he wispered to himslef, but he did what he said he would, he didn't yell when he slipped, he looked up and gave them a sing to et them know he was ok

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 08:33 PM

Mason continued to watch, flinching as he saw Jake begin to slip. He chuckled slightly as Jake got his hold back on the rope and slipped down to the ground. "You go next Laurette. I want to make sure you get out safe," he said to her, and gently held his hand out to help her get out the window. "Please be careful," he whispered to her, looking intently in her eyes.

Ewe 07-13-2010 08:36 PM

Laurette looked at him for a moment, and suddenly shook her head. "No.. You go. The rope isn't going to hold out much longer." She said, watching as the rope was being pulled as Jake climbed down. "If you go last, it may be too weak to hold you. And I'm not going to let you die on my watch." She flashed him a comforting smile and stood by the window beside him, looking down at Jake to make sure he was okay. "Besides, I'm sure there are people outside who want to see you alive."

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 08:41 PM

Mason's eyes narrowed. "You just have to be stubborn. I'll cut you a deal. I'll go out first, but you still have to follow me as soon as I touch the ground. If you begin to slip, don't try to hold on. I'll catch you," Mason said. He tightened the rope and the knots he could reach, then swung his legs out the window. "Promise me you'll follow," he said and looked at her very seriously. There was no playfulness left on his face. "

Ewe 07-13-2010 08:47 PM

Laurette leaned on the windowsill, looking at him straight in the eyes, a serious, yet playfully smirk on her face. She was a little surprised by his concern for her health, but she decided to accept it. "I'm right behind you." She said, holding the rope so that the knot wouldn't give out while he held on to it. "I promise."

dragonjake 07-13-2010 08:49 PM

((i will post tommorow))

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 08:51 PM

Mason nodded, letting out a sigh. He began to make his way down the rope, shimmying carefully. He thought of it as rock climbing, and occasionally bounced off the house carefully to slid down further. He jumped the rest of the way down and landed swiftly on his feet. He stuck his thumb up to Laurette to tell her to come down.

Ewe 07-13-2010 09:00 PM

Laurette looked back over her shoulder nervously, and sighed. She grabbed the rope and jumped out of the window. Going down carefully, she couldn't help but look through one of the windows she passed by. She saw Damien and the girl. So the fight never ended. They seemed to be having a conversation. She felt herself go down a little, and looked up at the rope. The ends were loose. They were about to give out. She didn't panic, and continued going down slowly, careful not to pull too hard. She got down halfway, and the knot untied. For a second, she wasn't aware that she was in the air, but she let go of the rope and turned around. She let out a small gasp as she fell. The ground seemed so far away, and everything seemed to go in slow motion. She closed her eyes, awaiting her fate.

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 09:04 PM

Mason watched as Laurette paused, continued down, and then began to slip. He darted next to the rope, watching her closely as she fell through the air. He bit his lip hard, took a deep breath, and began to follow her to see where she would fall. As she got closer her falling seemed straight down, so he stood rooted under her, arms held out to catch her, and focused hard. He said a silent prayer in his mind. Laurette fell into his arms, but the quickness of it caught him off balance and he fell downward. She still remained on top him, and luckily she didn't look too hurt.

Ewe 07-13-2010 09:09 PM

Laurette's heart was racing, and she felt herself land on something soft. She opened her eyes and both her and Mason fell to the ground. She hit her shoulder on the ground, but it wasn't anything too bad. Getting up, she held her hand out to Mason, her face calm, but her eyes full of fear. "Sorry.. I just had to be the idiot that manages to fall.." She said quietly, frowning a little.

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 09:33 PM

Mason shook his head, shaking off what had happened. He took her hand and pushed himself off of the ground. He chuckled at her apology. "That's OK. The rope was getting loose," he said and glanced back up at it. He frowned at it slightly, wondering how to pull it down without knocking the cupboard it was tied to over. He looked around them, breathing in the cool night air.

Ascadellia 07-13-2010 09:41 PM

Damien raised an eyebrow. "You were thinking about your dead brother?" he asked. "Well, maybe you'll get to see him, if you're lucky enough to leave this place soon after you're dead." he said, shrugging. He froze a moment later though, sensing something. He growled a little. "Damn it all.. They escaped. who gave them the escape route??" he asked, mind racing to think on who would be crazy enough to give them.. The new hunter. "Damn idiot. Ah well. The traps and game doesn't end once they're outside." he said, smirking. There were still plenty of them outside. There was also a very high fence a couple of yards away from the house, to prevent the kids from leaving so easily. One could say the outside was more deadly than the inside. Looking back at Aysel, he raised an eyebrow. "You're as good as dead, so there's no need for me to fight you anymore." he informed her, waving before starting to head toward the direction of the others. Stupid Aryx and his victim.

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 09:46 PM

"Yes," Aysel replied, not bothering to think about the rest of the comment. Aysel raised an eyebrow, glancing towards the window. She smiled, silently congratulating them in her head. She frowned at Damien's comment about the outside. Her eyes widened, a bit shocked, as he walked off. She scoffed under her breath, then slowly regained herself. She watched as he walked off, and she waited. Then she herself walked up the steps and into the hallway, glancing around for anybody. She saw a window and knocked on it, trying to get the others' attention. She wanted to see if they could help her get out as well, and to warn them to be very careful. She had made it her personal goal to get out of the games, for her brother.

Ascadellia 07-13-2010 09:52 PM

Damien heard her go up the stairs, but he smirked. The only window that was available to actually get out was the attic one. Sadly, the others had found it. Ah well. He shifted out of the house, appearing a foot away from the small group. Smirking down at the other two contestants before landing on Laurette, he smirked. "Congrats on escaping the inside. Halfway there." He raised an eyebrow. "That girl told you huh?" he asked, crossing his arms. He had renewed energy, not as hungry anymore.

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 09:55 PM

Mason glared at Damien. "What's it to you?" He asked, an edge in his accent. He gently pulled Laurette out of the way so he wouldn't crush her, but he kept his gaze intently on Damien. He glanced to the window and saw Aysel hit it to get their attention. He frowned, wondering how he could help her. He shifted his attention back to Damien, growling at his reference to Katie as 'that girl'.

Ascadellia 07-13-2010 10:07 PM

He rolled his eyes at the guy's defensiveness. "Relax Romeo." he said, a slightly bored tone. "I told her if she found a way out, she's free. Sadly, she's not out just yet. So, I'm here to enjoy the ride. I already got my victim." he said, smirking. Nodding at Aysel at the window, he looked back at Mason. "She's good as gone. Not sure when exactly though." he said, frowning lightly. To the first comment about the other girl, he looked slightly intrigued. "It's to me, since, well she'd be the only one who would actually be dumb enough to send you out here. It's deadlier here." he said, giving him a small grin. He knew he was provoking the guy, since he seemed fond of the other girl. Too bad she was dead, and he was not. "Want to join her forever?" he asked

musikfreakx 07-13-2010 10:35 PM

Aysel glared at Damien through the window, then turned swiftly on her heel. She began marching up the stairs, not caring about the noise she made. However she wasn't stupid, she continued to stick to shadows and walls. Her mind whirred constantly, going through options of what to do. She was at a loss, and she could hear what they had said through the window. Meaning, she had learned there was no way out except the attic. But there were always other options; punching windows and crawling through them.
Mason eased his body, but kept the glare on his face. "What do you mean? Not out?" Mason asked, eyebrow raised suspiciously. He wasn't sure if Damien was just playing games with them, but he sounded serious. The option of being with Katie was an option running through his mind, but he had told her he would get out and live. Plus, he didn't want to see her leave like all the hunters eventually did. "Why don't you just leave?" Mason asked, getting off of the topic of Katie. He had heard about some hunters just up and leaving, and he wondered why Damien didn't.
