Emily was sitting in her chair waiting to hear of the new mission she and Reid would have to do together. She had finished her reports for work and had them neatly on her desk. She looked over at Reid and smiled " Hey Reid do you know......what this new mission is about?" (( sorry my post are longer its just I dont have much to work on yet))

Reid looked up from the large leather bound book he was reading and regarded Emily. "According to Morgan I think it has something to do with the serial killer in Chicago. But I'm not positive." He shut the book and continued, "I'm sure Hotchner and Rossi will brief us soon."

Emily turned around " Speak of the devil..." Hotchner walked into the room and spotted Emily and Reid and made his way over to them. Emily hopped it would be an easy mission and no one would get hurt during it as well. (( u be all male characters including hotch))

Reid turned to face his boss Hotchner as he walked over. "Prentiss, Reid in the briefing room," Hotchner said walking past them and towards the briefing room. Reid stood up slowly. "Time to start working," he remarked.

Emily slowly got up her ribbs were still sore from a mission in which she and Reid had almost been killed. She let a man beat her up in order to save Reid's life. She knew Reid still felt guilty but....it was not his fault. Emily walked in and sat down in one of the chairs opposite of Reid. She wondered what the mission would require them to do besides catching the bad guy as the always did.

When everyone was present Hotchner started to brief everyone. "We got an invite from the Chicago PD and the FBI Field Office there. They need our help for a new serial killer who appeared a few weeks ago." Hotch guested to JJ to start handing out the files for the case. Reid opened his and quickly skimmed through the folder, taking everything in.
"This guy moves fast," Reid remarked. "At the pace he was going and from when the last victims was found he should have already found his next target." Hotchner and Rossi exchanged a quick glance before the picture on their screen changed to a picture of a man and a women, smiling broadly. "The Morison's." Rossi said shortly, "Nathan Morison's sister reported them missing yesterday." |
Emily noticed something and stated it at once "He kills his victims all the same he cuts there necks in a V shape why would he do that isn't that to obvious.....wouldn't that give him away or is he trying to lead us into a trap of some sort?"
Emily watched to see there reactions hopping her statement would help them on some level. |
Rossi responded first. "They currently don't know why he does it but its obviously the Unsub's trade mark. That's how the police knew they were dealing with a serial killer."
"According to the files it seems he only targets couples," Morgan added. Reid nodded in agreement. "Our Unsub probably has issues with being in a relationship then," Reid pointed out. |
"Commitment issues " Stated Emily. " Well all the couples were married maybe the unsub was married once and it went bad "
Emily stated as she looked at the file. " So Hotch when do we leave?" Emily wondered where she and the team would be staying while they were trying to find the unsub |
"The planes landing now. We leave in 15," Hotch replied. And with that he left the room going to get his go bag. "We'll finishing the briefing on the plane," Rossi added. Soon after one by one everyone else started to leave. Reid stood up and shuffled his papers back into the folder. He was deep in thought trying to figure out anything about the Unsub that would be helpful, but with what little info he had it was hard to do. Sighing he left the room and returned to his desk. From under it he pulled out his go bag and left for the plane.

Emily was ready she had her bag and her file in hand she boarded the plane as she looked at the file. She took a seat by the window as she read the file. She often wished there was no need for her type of work because that would mean people would not be killed. She looked up when he herd Hotch's voice she wanted to hear the rest of what he had to say about the mission. Like what each person would have to do.

When everyone was on the plane and when they were safely in the air Hotchner decided to continue. "With the help of the local FBI there we were able to come up with a general plan on how we will be handling the situation." He crossed his arms frowning slightly and nodded to Rossi. Rossi continued for Hotchner, "Since the Unsub is very fast finding out who he is is very very important." He paused for a moment looking at each member for a second. "With his timing the police and the FBI are pretty certain that the Morison's are dead meaning he will soon move on to a new target, a new couple."

Emily listened wondering what the plan was. She knew no matter what plan it was she knew it was well thought out.
Emily sat back in her seat breathing in and out slowly she did not know why but she was nervous today. Must have been since she was on a plan with an empty stomach. |
"And since this guy has been very tricky to learn anything about or pin down we're thinking of baiting and then trapping him," stated Rossi. Hotchner stood up and added, "The FBI suggested that we use someone from our team since the Unsub probably wont know us but could know the division down there and it would give us an edge above him." A silence followed their comments, everyone deep in thought and worried.

Emily looked out of her window still listening. She wished they would just tell them in plane english what was going to happen. Emily was not dumb but why complicate things when you can just say it |

"Reid and Prentiss shall be playing the role of the happy couple," Rossi told them. Reid blinked in surprise. He was shocked and rather confused at this outcome. Wouldn't Morgan be better fit for this, he couldn't help but think. "What?" he managed to spit out after a moments pause. |
Emily began to cough on the water she was drinking. "You....guys.....tried to kill me " Emily coughed. JJ slapped her on the back. " Your married and did not tell me Emily shame on you." Emily also said "What?"

"David and I are going to be working with field agents in Chicago while JJ handles all the press our Unsub has been getting and Morgan will be helping the police since he knows quite a few of them." Hotchner stated.

Emily finally out of shock began to speak. " So what will I be doing .........besides playing house?" Emily stated as she herd JJ giggle behind her

"Well we know the hotel our Unsub uses for hunting ground and we'll have to lodge up there and hopefully get the attention of our target," Rossi explained.
"Its going to be a tricky mission and rather dangerous," Hotchner said, "But its got to be done." He looked evenly at both Reid and Prentiss trying to stare into the importance of playing these roles. 'So basically we're bait," Reid remarked pointing to both himself and Emily. Morgan laughed. "Good luck Dr. Reid." |
Emily looked down " I always get the fun roles..." Emily looked at Reid and tried not to make it be awkward. JJ was not helping by laughing and giggleing

"We'll be arriving in Chicago in 20 minutes by then I want all of you to be thoroughly up to date on this case," Hotchner said sitting back down and pulling out his own folder, "Garcia will send us anything new that happens before we land."
Reid nodded still feeling slightly out of it. This was the first case in which he would be playing a vital role and he wasn't sure how he should feel about. He was nervous of course and slightly afraid but he was also excited. Excited that Hotchner and Rossi thought that he would be able to carry out a mission like this. Now all that was left was for him to agree with them. He sighed frustrated and opened his folder, preparing for what was to come. |
