Emy looked at him in the rearview mirror for a moment. Then sighed softly and nodded. "Alright. Whatever you say." She seemed to believe it a little.

Léan nodded slowly, and leaned down to rest his head again. He wasn't sure what to do at that point, so he simply listened to the music flowing throughout the vehicle.

Emy soon relaxed as she listened to the music. After about ten minutes she figetted a little in the seat. She then cursed under her breath.

Léan lifted his head a little. "What is it? You sound a little agitated," he noted, pointedly. He had been relaxing, but didn't mind letting that go if something was bothering her.

Emy sighed a little, though she seemed a little embarrased. "We have to pull over."

Léan tilted his head, but nodded. "All right...I will make sure to stay down so no one will see me," he promised.

Emy nodded slightly. "It's alright....I just have to go real bad." She pulled over to a spot with a thick patch of trees. Then leaned over to the passenger seat, digging through the drawer underneath a little frantically. She then held up a roll of toilet paper triumphently. "Aha! I knew he still had this in here." She held up a finger. "I'll be right back. Don't let anyone in but me, ok?" She handed him the keys with a smile. "Just pressed this button to let me in." She pointed to the nlock button on the keychain. "Be right back." She hopped out and locked the door, hurrying to the trees and a second later disappeared into them.

Léan waited patiently for her to return. He understood that human process, at least. He played with the keys while she was gone, interested and intrigued by them.

It didn't take her very long at all and she was smiling a little when she came back, but she came at a sort of run. She ran up and tapped on the window.

Léan jumped, then fumbled with the keys before pressing the button she had indicated before she'd hopped out to take care of the...emergency.

There was a little click and Emy smiled and opened the door. "You remembered." She slid in and closed the door. "Ok. We can go now. But, I'll need those." She held out her hand for the keys with a smile.

Léan dropped the keys into her hand willingly. He sat himself up slightly so he could peer out of the window, curiously. He was looking for something to do, since they still had a bit of a drive ahead of them.

Emy smiled and started the car, then pulled back onto the interstate and drove fast. She'd glanced back a couple times at him. "You bored?"

"Hm? Oh, no...I am watching the other creatures go by." The 'creatures' Léan was referring to were probably the other vehicles. He didn't know any better, after all.

Emy blinked confused for a moment. "Creatures....oh, do you mean the other cars?" She smiled a little at him calling them creatures, but if she was in his situation, she'd probably call the that too.

"Er, yes. Them." Léan didn't seem to notice his blunder. He peered out of the window eagerly, fascinated by all the different shapes, sizes, and colors of the other cars.

Emy just smiled to herself. She wasn't going to ruin it for him. He seemed to be having fun just looking at them.

After a long moment, Léan paused in his car-watching to stare at an odd-looking building that they were passing. It appeared to be an oddly-shaped office building that glimmered in the moonlight. He seemed fascinated by it.

Emy smiled at his reaction to the building, a small giggle actually escaping her lips.
|
"What is funny?" Léan frowned, then tilted his head slightly. "Did something happen? Did I miss it?" He looked around frantically. He wanted to take all of the sights in.

Emy giggled a little more at his reaction. "No...you didn't miss anything. It's just...its different to see someone so amased by a building or cars. I'm sorry, but it is a little funny."

"Pfft. Well, thanks. I suppose you would react the same seeing one of our cities," Léan hummed, dryly. He seemed to be in a better mood than he had been before.

Emy giggled slightly. "I suppose you're right. Well, even though I have no chance, if I ever do see one of your cities, you have permission to laugh at me."

"I did say there was another way for humans to breathe underwater. But it is complicated. Eerrrmm...not complicated in the same way as turning into one of my kind," Léan corrected quickly, shifting awkwardly.

Emy smiled kindly and a little sadly at him. "I'm not rich, so I'm sure that's out of the question as well."
