Robert chewed on the inside of her cheek, nervously and sort of annoyed. Emy was now cured up at the bottom, her arms tightly hugging herself and her eyes shut. One of the first things to come to her was the gills. She would be able to stay there as long as she wanted. It hurt so much she hadn't been able to move. She hadn't changed completely yet, and she knew there was more pain to come.

Léan drifted down to her and curled up beside her, wrapping his tail up around her back. It was a sign of concern, and of reassurance. "Your uncle is here. He wants to see you, so when you are ready, I will help you up," he offered, softly. "I will have to teach you how to swim later."

Emy felt him touch her and looked at him a little. A very small smile appeared on her face, despite the fact she was a little exhausted and in pain. She didn't look like she liked the idea of her uncle being there, but she wouldn't object to the help.

Léan waited patiently for the change to finish. It wouldn't be long, now. Soon, the pain would fade away. The most painful part of the transformation, of course, was the melding together of the legs and the quick growth of scales. He idly wondered what color her tail would be. When humans were changed, they were often graced with a tail of their favorite color, toned down a bit to blend in with the ocean floor.

Emy moaned in pain and wrapped her arms around him tightly. Her legs soon started to come together, melding. She didn't like this one bit. She didn't know if she'd even be concious after it was over.

Léan shifted himself slightly, so she could get a better grip on him. There was silence for a moment, and then, hesitantly, he opened his mouth.

A wondrous sound flowed forth from his throat. It was soft--he didn't want her uncle to hear it--and incredibly soothing. The Song Of The Siren had lured many sailors to their deaths, since they couldn't focus on the wheel when they heard it. But it was soothing and very relaxing to human ears.

Emy clung to him until she heard him sing. She relaxed a little after about a minute of listening to it. The pain was still there, but not nearly as bad. She loved when he sang and hoped it'd never be any different, especially after she changed. The song got her through her legs melding together, then scales started rapidly growing into place. Her scales were an emerald green, when light shone on them just right, they were a reddish color like her hair.

Léan reached over to brush away smaller scales that didn't grow in right--they would grow back over time--as they started coming in. He kept up his soft singing, tail flicking back and forth, and waited for her to finish her change. He would help her up.

Emy seemed to relax alot as the scales finished growing in. She sort of started to open her eyes, but just felt so tired.

Léan tilted his head at her. "We have to go and see your uncle. He won't be satisfied until he sees you are safe. And you need to explain what has happened to him..." He gently nudged her, trying to get her ready to go.

Emy slowly opened her eyes, they were a brighter green than normal. Maybe it was from the change. She blinked, then slowly nodded. "Robert....is very stubborn." She grinned slightly. She was sort of amased she could speak underwater.

Léan slid an arm beneath her and lifted her up, slowly. He slid himself beneath her, then, and lifted her up onto his back. He swam out towards shore, and then let her off his back once they were in shallow water, so she could speak with her uncle.

Emy went along with it, holding onto him as much as she could. Once they were in shallow waters, she blushed when she realized she was still topless. She covered herself with her arms andsort of turned from Robert. He blushed a little too. "Umm...what happened to you?" He wasn't looking at her anymore, both of them embarrased. She explained what happened, slow enough for him to get everything, but skipped everything that was too embarassing or personal to say.

Léan, who had absolutely no problem with nudity of any kind, was both confused and highly amused by their first exchange. He listened quietly as she explained, quipping in with a few missed details as she spoke.

Emy was grateful for the fill ins by Leandre. Robert was as well, he nodded slightly, then sighed when she was done. "Well...it'll be a little difficult explaing this to your father. I'm sure your sister will figure it out though. Since she knows you were closer to him than you let on. She's quite...watchful."

"She is still able to come up on land. If you tell her father and sister the truth right off the bat...they can come down here once a month, at the end of the month, and we will be there to see them," Léan offered, idly. "That might be easier on everyone. I do not know how her family will react, however..."

Emy chewed on the inside of her cheek, then realized she couldn't do that anymore, or she'd chew a hole through it. She looked at Robert. "I'm worried...about dad." Robert sighed and nodded slightly. "I know...he won't take it so well at first...but he'll get used to the idea." Emy nodded slightly. "Well, I know sis will be thrilled. She's always been fascinated by marine life."

Léan seemed pleased that everything appeared to be going smoothly. "So...telling them would be a good thing, then? I am all for the idea, as long as they do not tell others..."

Emy shook her head slightly. "They know how to keep secrets. Especially important ones. They'll make something up to make up for me being gone." She smiled and took Leandre's hand, just to comfort herself. She was a little scared....excited scared though. Robert nodded slightly, then rubbed the back of his head. "I might need to call someone to pick up your car....sense I can't really drive both back." Emy just nodded a little. "That's fine."

Léan held her hand, loosely. He watched their exchange quietly, not saying anything. He wasn't a particularly social sort of person, and it was ten times worse with humans than it was with merpeople for him.

Robert thought for a bit in a strange silence. He didn't realy want to say goodbye...because he'd be here to bring the family to visit her when she came back. He just nodded slightly and walked up to her and kissed her forehead. "See ya later kid." He smiled, then went to the SUV and started it. He waved from the front window, then sped off. Emy smiled and waved back, then looked at Leandre. "So...when do I learn to swim again?"

"I can take you out now and teach you. Since it's a vital skill..." Léan replied, simply. "It is easy enough, once you get the motions down and learn to balance yourself properly. If you don't want to learn now, I can take you out farther into the ocean and we can settle down for the night..."

Emy shook her head a little, looking a little excited. "I love swimming, remember? Can you teach me now? At least a little, then we can rest....please?" She smiled happily. She also didn't really want to bruden him anymore than she had to.

Léan hesitated, then slipped underwater. He sped out to deeper water and beckoned for her to follow. Best to see how well she did on her first try, after all. He waited for her, floating lazily in the water.

Emy watched him go, turning herself. She bit her lip softly, watching how he moved and tried to mimic his movements, though slower than he did. She was as clumsy as a baby trying to walk. She messed up a couple times, but at least she didn't give up. Her tail didn't like listening her that much.
