Seer of the Past 08-27-2010 12:14 AM

Teria nodded. "Tyrel I am scared." she whispered looking at him scared. She kept close and hoped they would. HSe looked around wondering where this person was. "I hear the river." she siad suddenly surprised. She could hear things father away then when she was a human. She tried not to like it because she would have to give it up to be a human again. But being with Tyrel as a human was more important to her.

Esmme 08-27-2010 12:18 AM

Tyrel smiled, glancing ahead. "I think you can see it if you look hard enough. I know I can." The elf pointed forward, leaning over to help her see the glinting of the moonlight off of the flowing water.

((:XD Alright, I have to go. Brain dead and a half. :())

Seer of the Past 08-27-2010 12:27 AM

Teria looked and giggled. "I can see it" she giggled and kissed his cheek. "I love you Tyrel" she whispered and kissed him lovingly. "I am so nervous." she said looking up at him. "But I can't wait to be human again." she said smiling at him.

(hehe it's ok.)

Esmme 08-27-2010 03:54 AM

Surprised by her kiss, the elf smiled, sweeping her up in his arms. "Don't be nervous. Someone will help us." I hope. Tyrel continued to carry her for many minutes, and it wasn't long before they approached the river itself. Beyond it was a grassy plain, where only the edges of the water had any amount of green. With a small intake of breath, Tyrel set Teia on her feet. His blue eyes had filled with worry, and the dark-skinned youth frowned.
"What happened?" he whispered, observing the brown grass and deadened fields beyond the river. Glancing back to Teia, he started forward, ignoring his own dehydration for a moment. As soon as the tall male stepped over the shallow part of the water, the cool liquid swung up about him, moving to spread across the parched lands. Elves never let their home fall into such disarray. As soon as he had such thoughts, the dry ground burst before him, a form coming up out of an underground den.
A loud cry filled the air, and a dirt-smeared male charged forward, clashing blades against Tyrel's water that flew up to protect him. Instead of fighting back, Tyrel merely defended himself, speaking in his own tongue. The smooth, flowing words seemed to have no effect on the man he was fighting - another elf.
"Please! Listen!" Tyrel shoved the broad-shouldered creature away from him, his powers helping him do so. The elf lord paused, the ground about him rippling with energy.
"Why I lissen to you?" he hissed, his guttural voice rough and ragged, just like his appearance.
"I have someone who needs your help, elder one." Tyrel was saddened by the fall of such a great elf - he had once been a high being, full of honor and glory. It seemed that now, he was hardly even human in mind, but a warrior crazed by too many years alone.

Seer of the Past 08-27-2010 12:05 PM

Teria watched in horror she had no idea what to do. But as soon as they stopped she quickly took Tyrel's hand and stayed close to him. HSe didn't know what to say. This was an elder, but he really didn't act like it. She found that peculiar. She looked at this strange man hoping and praying he would turn her back into a human.

Esmme 08-28-2010 03:37 AM

As Tyrel explained their predicament, the high elf straightened, lifting his muddy gaze to scan over Teia. It wasn't long before he interrupted his fellow elf. "Why would I help sometheen like her?" He nodded in the vampire's direction, sneering rudely. Tyrel tightened his hold on the woman's hand.
"Because I'm asking you to, great one."
The man laughed loudly, shaking his head. "You don't see how far we have fallen, have you?" When Tyrel hesitated, the elf snorted, turning his back to them. "The elves be dying, boy." His guttural voice sounded full of defeat and hopelessness. "I don't have the power you be seeking."
"Who then?" Tyrel asked quickly, knowing that the elf lord was about to vanish. Already the dry ground about him was stirring, seeming to sink beneath the battered elf's feet. "Who should I look to?"
"Mountains," was the answer, and the old warrior disappeared in a cloud of dirt and dry grass that filled the air.
Coughing, Tyrel backed away, heading back to the stream as he realized just how dehydrated he was. As soon as he touched the river, the aquatic elf's features melted into pleasure, and he paused to let himself soak up what he could. "I'm sorry, Teia," he whispered, shaking his head. It was almost dawn - they would need to find cover soon before the sun rose. "I wasn't aware that he was so different. He used to be so noble, a great warrior." I learned from him once. But now he will fade into nothingness; he will be forgotten.

Seer of the Past 08-28-2010 03:43 AM

Teia kept close to Tyrel and wished she could cry. That man was so mean. "it's ok love. I understand I just wished he wouldn't have sneered at me" she said and sat next to him. "so now we are going to go to the mountains?" she asked smiling at him hoping the next one would help. She just had to become human again. She needed to be human. she didn't want to have to worry about the sun. She wanted to feel it on her skin again.

Esmme 08-28-2010 03:58 AM

"Yes," Tyrel replied, leaning over to kiss her cheek. Gently wiping some hair out of her face, the elf sighed. "I didn't want to go to the caverns, but I suppose it's worth a try." I never did like Vladimir much. "The elder that lives there isn't very . . . generous with his gifts, but if he can help you, then I'm willing to try and talk to him."
Standing, he took Teia's hand, pulling her with him. "Back to the forest. We can travel until the sun rises, and then you need rest." And so do I. "We'll be there before tomorrow night ends."
They headed back for the forest, Tyrel looking a bit sullen. Is this all that remains of my kind? Is this how everyone will be? When he felt the air warm up, the frost fading, he shivered. "Time to stop," he said, leading the vampire to a large tree. The roots were so large they had created a den of sorts, and Tyrel eagerly entered, making sure it was clear. If he blocked the sunlight from entering, they would be safe for the day. It was minutes later that they were situated, the elf blocking the entrance with his own form. Feeling the first rays of dawn strike his bare back, Tyrel took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "Get some rest, Teia. Don't lose hope." Already he was weary, and leaned against the side of the den. Nodding off a bit, he forced his blue eyes open, meeting her gaze for many long moments. "I love you."

Seer of the Past 08-28-2010 04:06 AM

Teia nodded. She looked back into his eyes smiling. "I love you to" she whispered and stroked his hair softly. She watched him lovingly. She couldn't believe that soon she might be human again soon. She couldn't believe it. She would be human again. She missed everything that came with being a human. Yes she might be weaker but she liked it.

Esmme 08-28-2010 04:29 AM

When night came next, Tyrel eagerly pulled Teia forward. They were in the mountain ranges near the midnight hour, and Tyrel couldn't help but shiver constantly. Though a vampire wasn't affected by the cold, he certainly was. The snow that had begun to fall dusted his darkly tanned skin, and the elf kept himself moving so he didn't think about how numb his hands and feet were.
The caves were dry, though Tyrel's breath created a nice white cloud as they entered. Still freezing, his hand was locked with Teia's, wishing she, too, could share heat. Sadly, she was a vampire - he might as well been holding on to an icicle. "F-further down we w-will find a marker. A c-crystal." Shaking with cold, Tyrel forced them onward. Vladimir will see us. He should already know we're here.
As though he'd heard Tyrel's thoughts, a dark figure shifted away from a large red crystal. Black eyes surveyed the couple, and he lifted his gold staff to let a small ring of light encompass them. "What is it that you seek?" he asked, his voice more of a hiss than anything. Hearing Tyrel's quick, rigid breathing, the elf lord inclined his head, motioning quietly for them to follow him. "Come. You are not used to the elements of my home."
Vladimir led them deeper into the cavern, where a strange stone city spanned out before them. The awful silence nearly hurt Tyrel's ears - no one was there. There was no life. Following the elder into what appeared to be his home, the aquatic elf was relieved to find that a small fire was going in an onyx hearth.
"Sit. Rest. It has been long since I've seen another of our kind."
Shivering, Tyrel placed himself near the fire, glancing to Teia for a few moments. He would speak soon, when he could. At the moment, he merely focused on warming his numb form.

Seer of the Past 08-28-2010 04:38 AM

Teia wished she could do something for Tyrel but there was nothing she could do but make him colder. Once he was by a fire she pulled back from him slightly so she didn't make him colder. She watched him lovingly. She never took her eyes off him. She was worried for her love. She would let him do the talking again because she didn't want to risk ruining it for them.

Esmme 08-28-2010 05:21 AM

Vladimir seemed to watch them with a keen eye, observing their every movement hungrily. It seemed as though he'd been along for a long while - too long. His black eyes trailed over the both of them until Tyrel's accented voice broke the silence.
"She wants to be human," he said bluntly, and the elder's narrowed eyes filled with some sort of emotion that Tyrel couldn't place. "And I ask you to help us."
"My gifts don't come without a price," the tall man said in a whisper-hiss, moving in jerky motions as he crossed the room. Coming to a stop before Teia, he snagged her icy hand, glancing to Tyrel. "You love her."
Tyrel swallowed, nodding. His white hair was pulled back out of his face, and the blue-eyed male ran his hands through it nervously. "I do." That was like admitting to treason. Elves couldn't love mortals - it was . . . illegal. Against the eldest laws.
Vladimir inclined his head in a noble fashion, looking over Teia once again. "She hasn't been a vampire long. She isn't dark enough." Without waiting for a reply, the tall elf released the woman's hand, turning on his heel and swiftly pacing the room. "This is against the laws, young one. An elf doesn't need a mortal."
"I need her more than I need the air," Tyrel breathed, standing from his place by the fire and sitting beside Teia. Radiating warmth, he wrapped an arm around her. "I have given my heart to her."
The words had a strange effect on the elder, and he froze, his gaze zipping back to the couple faster than light itself. "Then you have chosen a path that isn't so readily accepted." Tyrel nodded, and Vladimir continued. "Under normal circumstances, I would be appalled." When the water elf stiffened, the other male sighed. "But our kind is dying. I will not punish you for your actions." His black eyes closed. "Instead, I will do what I can."
Tyrel brightened, seeming surprised that he'd gotten what he wanted so quickly.

((:XD My posts are so long . . . I'll finish later. Sadly, I have to get going.))

Seer of the Past 08-28-2010 01:15 PM

Teia looked up at the elf surprised as he took her hand. But once Tyrel had his arms around her and wrapped her arms around him and kept close to him. She knew how many laws Tyrel was breaking just to be with her and she felt bad she couldn't give him more. HE deserved more for all that he was doing to be with her. She was surprised as the elf said he would. SHe looked back up at him smiling. "Thank you" she said happily then put her head on Tyrel's shoulder.

(hehe it's ok. I just wish I could write that much back for you)

Esmme 08-28-2010 04:00 PM

"I can bring her back to a human life," the elder said slowly, pacing the room once again as he thought. "But I cannot alter her life. She will merely go back to what she was before." Mortal. Seeing Tyrel's displeased expression, the tall man sighed. "I am not as strong as I once was, young one."
Tyrel nodded, and was happy that they could at least get somewhere with their quest. Human was better than a blood-sucking vampire, after all. The aquatic elf also knew that this elder was the one who used to breed the vampires, keep a handle on them. Apparently, they had gotten out of hand. He no longer held reign over the monsters. Before he could speak, the elder moved to stand before Teia, offering his hand and pulling her up.
"It will not be a pleasant feeling," he said, black eyes scanning over the woman. "And I cannot guarantee that you will live." Tyrel cringed while he listened. Vladimir took a slow breath. "If you are willing to risk your existence, I can give you a life again."

Seer of the Past 08-28-2010 05:32 PM

Teia was sad that he would be able to give her immortality but being human was better then a vampire. She looked up at him and nodded. "I don't care. As long as there is a chance that I can be with Tyrel as a human" she said looking back at Tyrel. "I love you" she said and kissed him lovingly before giving Vladimir her hand. "I will do anything to be with him as a human again" she said determined.

Esmme 08-29-2010 02:45 AM

"I want something in return," the elder said, lifting Teia's hand in a dainty fashion. Black eyes narrowing once again, he glanced to Tyrel. "I want you to kill the elf lord that started our downfall." When the aquatic elf paled, the tall elder nodded. "Perhaps you can find a way to make her yours forever, but I want him dead."

It was then that Vladimir took Teia with him, the darkness of the cavern swirling about them. He wasn't an elf of normal elements - instead, he was one of darkness. Not evil, but of the absence of light. "Brace yourself, young one." It was then that immeasurable pain assaulted the woman, and he tightened his grip on her hand. When she fell to her knees, he forced the darkness deeper - it would tear the vampire from her, even if it took her life.

((:( She's not going to be a very happy camper when she wakes up. But she'll be human! Hurt badly, but human!))

Seer of the Past 08-29-2010 06:06 PM

Teia looked at Tyrel once more then nodded. Suddenly she was filled with so much pain she screamed. Her vision went blank but soon she felt the floor under her. Then she passed out from the pain. It was like she wasn't there but was at the same time. She could hear everything but couldn't move or see or feel anything. She longed to hear Tyrel. He was the only thing that could comfort her.

Esmme 08-30-2010 01:27 AM

Vladimir continued until he was sure to have the vampire out of the woman.
"How long will she be like this?" Tyrel asked when the elder carried her back into the room. As soon as Teia was on the couch, the aquatic elf knelt at her side, taking her cold hand in his. "Is she alright?"
The elder shook his head. "I don't know," he hissed quietly, and then moved to start some water boiling over the fire. "But she should be unconscious until morning." A few hours. "We will see if she is human when the sun can prove it for us."

For many hours the two elves spoke, mostly of their own people and cities. It seemed that everyone had faded away, slowly dying off and leaving the humans to overrule the realm. Sipping his tea, Tyrel frowned. "Is there any chance of the elves returning?" When silence filled the room, broken only by the crackling of the fire, the male lowered his blue eyes to Teia's face. He had his answer, be it spoken or not. No. The elves would not be returning to this world.
"We are a dying breed, young one." Vladimir sighed, setting his mug down on the table between them. From where he was sitting, he looked over the couple. "It is time for us to leave this realm behind."
Tyrel set his jaw in frustration, running a hand over Teia's. He was sitting on the couch with her in his lap, nestled against the arm of the cushion. It was dawn . . . and the torturous wait continued, the dark-skinned elf looking at the woman every few moments. Please be alright, Teia.

Seer of the Past 08-30-2010 07:48 PM

Tara's eyes fluttered then she closed them tightly. She grasped onto what ever she could get her hands on, which was Tyrel. She let out a soft scream then opened her eyes. They focused on Tyrel and she smiled weakly. "T-Tyrel" she moaned and curled up closer to him. She was in so much pain but nothing compared to when she was becoming human again. "I-I need a drink" she whispered trying not to cry.

Esmme 09-08-2010 09:32 PM

"Teia!" Tyrel's accented voice broke with joy, and he swiftly reached for his own cup of tea. He hadn't finished it, and the rest was cold, but it served it's purpose. "Drink," he whispered, offering the cup to her. He hated seeing her in so much pain; it was starting to hurt him just to see it. "How do you feel?"
Vladimir said nothing, his black eyes watching the two of them closely as he sipped his drink.

Seer of the Past 09-08-2010 09:43 PM

Teia drank and got closer to him. "I hurt.....all over" she whispered but never moved away from him. One hand clasped his shirt and held it tightly even though it caused her pain. "I want to sleep. Is that ok?" she asked looking up at him lovingly but her eyes held pain. She took in his scent and smiled. She had missed it so much.

Esmme 10-10-2010 05:31 AM

"Rest," Tyrel whispered, stroking her hair gently. Combing it out with his fingers, the elf pressed a kiss to her forehead. "I'll be here when you wake." I'll take care of you. The white-haired male sighed, his blue eyes lingering on the woman's features as he watched her worriedly.
"How long will she be like this?"
Vladimir narrowed his eyes. "I do not know. It is different with every person." The pale man stood, setting his tea aside. "But I will get you both a blanket. It is time for the both of you to rest before moving on."
Little did Tyrel know that they would find a pack full of supplies for their journey waiting for them when they awoke.

Nodding, the aquatic elf yawned lightly, cradling Teia to him as he settled in to rest. When Vladimir returned with a blanket, he smiled at the stoic elf before beginning to fall asleep. "Sleep well, Teia."

Seer of the Past 10-10-2010 02:47 PM

Teia nodded and cuddled closer to Tyrel resting her head on his chest. "Tyrel I love you" she whispered before falling asleep. She dreamed of being an elf and being with Tyrel forever. Under the blanket she got even closer. SHe was still in pain and holding onto Tyrel's shirt was just causing her more pain but she had to hold onto him. She needed to know he was there and any pain was worth being close to Tyrel.

Esmme 10-10-2010 04:47 PM

Since they were underground in the caves, it was hard to tell when the sun rose. When Tyrel awoke, he assumed it was daytime. Gently touching the fist that Teia had clenched around a bit of his shirt (which he'd borrowed from Vladimir, considering it was snowing outside . . . he's usually bare-chested.), the elf smiled. It was nice to feel her warmth, to know that she was safe and posed no threat to him any longer. He didn't like havinging to watch the vampire's every move, and now she was human again. From here, their quest was to find two things - the elf lord that Vladimir wanted them to kill, and a way to make Teia immortal.
They would move on that day. Glancing about the dark room, Tyrel saw a pile of things meant for their travels, as well as a hot meal. Strangely, it looked as though it had just been placed on the table . . . but it must have been Vladimir's powers that kept it so warm. The gentle smell of cinnamon tempted the elf, and he looked down to Teia before leaning his head back against the couch again. He could wait for her. He always would.

Seer of the Past 10-10-2010 05:28 PM

Teia woke and looked up at him. She smiled sleepily. She was still in pain but it was better. "Good morning" she said and kissed his cheek. "What is that wonderful smell?" she asked looking around. She then realised she couldn't unlatch her fist. "Um....Tyrel I can't unlatch my fist" she whispered embarrassed and blushed. She was so glad she was human again but now she was scared no one would help them get her imortal.
