Teia woke with a moan and looked up at Tyrel. She smiled and hugged him. "I am so glad to see you Tyrel" she said and hugged him tightly again. "Are you ok?" she asked looking him over. "Did you do anything to him?" she asked looking at the elf. She had no idea what she had done but knew she would. She was slightly scared by the confusion in his eyes.
|
Tyrel looked a bit unsure of what to do when the woman hugged him, and glanced over to Shara for advice on the matter. Sadly, the elder elf was flipping through a book that seemed to be hovering in the air. "I don't know what you mean, dear." Snapping the tome closed, the enchantress gave Teia a small smile. She then headed for the other side of the room, her walk as confident and sure as it was graceful. "You are both allowed to stay here until you are ready to leave, if you so wish. There are extra rooms on the next floor up, my friends."
Shara left them together then. As he continued to frown, Tyrel swallowed nervously. If she meant so much to me, I wouldn't have forgotten her. So who was she? |
Teia looked up at him and tears welled in her eyes. "Don't you recognize me?" she asked looking up at him hopefully. She had no idea what had happend but she did know that elf was lying and she had done something to him. "Please" she whispered tears slowly going down her cheeks. "Don't you know me?"
|
Seeing her tears, Tyrel felt terrible. The dark-skinned male reached forward and brushed the first of them away while he searched for a reply. The elf stayed silent, wishing he knew what to say. I don't remember you. Why did you come to Shara?" Slowly stiffening, the slender youth cleared his throat. The fact that she was still leaning against him, and he didn't know her, was slightly . . . awkward. Honestly, she wasn't hard to look at . . . she was rather pretty.
|
Teia looked up at him adn her heart broke. He didn't know who she was. "I came here with you....because I love you and you love me....and I never wanted to leave you" she whispered painfully. "So we came here so I could become imortal and be with you forever" she said and broke down crying into his chest.
|
He wrapped his arms about the woman as she sobbed against him, feeling absolutely sickened. Is she telling the truth? But upon thinking over the tears that were pouring from her features, the elf decided to believe her. A name surfaced in his mind then, and he slowly tested it on his tongue. "Teia," he whispered, his white hair falling around his shoulders as he leaned down to rest his head against the girl's.
He didn't remember what she was talking about, but he could keep trying. The dark-skinned youth watched her as she cried, wondering what else he could do for her. Even though he didn't remember her, this girl suddenly tugged on his heart, making him wish to help her more than he was at the moment. "Perhaps some rest will help," he said to no one in particular. Rubbing Teia's back, Tyrel slowly stood, drawing her with him. She still leaned against him, but the male led her toward the seemingly familiar stairs. It wasn't hard to get to the next floor and let Teia use one of the rooms. Upon getting her into one of them, Tyrel offered a small smile before setting her down. "I'm sorry this happened. I'll do what I can to repay you for your . . . trouble." |
Teia looked up at him surprised to hear him say her name. She clung to him and once he laid her down and held onto him. "Don't leave me" she whispered scared of that other elf. She looked up at him eyes filled with hope. "How do you know my name if you don't remember me?" she asked her tears stopping. He knew who she was just it was hidden and she was going to do everything and anything to get that back. She wanted her Tyrel back.
|
As he tried to pull away, Teia's arms wrapped about him. As she held onto him, the elf relaxed, not wanting to upset her any more than she was already. "I can't stay here," he whispered, but leaned against the bed anyway. As he watched her expression change, the dark-skinned youth let a ghost of a smile cross his features. "It fits you," Tyrel said, swallowing quietly. "Haven't you told me your name before?"
Looking confused, the elf frowned. Was that a memory, or had that happened recently? With a cool hand, he reached up to wipe the last of Teia's tears away. "I really can't stay here all night, Miss." |
Teia looked up at him not wanting him to go. "Yes a long time ago when we first meet" she said and sighed and let him go. "But you always stayed close to me" she said looking at him sadly. "You stayed near me all night when we were coming here. And I am scared of that female elf" she said and she gently ran the back of her hand down his face. "Please remember" she whispered looking up at him with eyes big with hope.
|
The feeling of her hand on his face made the elf frown. Closing his eyes, the dark-skinned male sighed and covered her hand with his. "I'll try and remember. But until then, I can't stay with you." Tyrel slowly pulled away, pushing the girl away. "Try to get some sleep. I'll be in the next room over."
Hesitantly pressing a kiss to her knuckle, the elf offered a smile before turning for the door. "Shara isn't so bad. You'll see, Teia." |
Teia watched as he walked out of the room and she rolled over and curled up. She started crying. How did this happen? How could she have thought to trust that elf? Once she was done crying she fell asleep and dreamed of how this would have gone if Tyrel's memory was still there of her. She knew he knew who she was deep down inside. She was going to do anything and everything to bring it back.
|
Tyrel walked slowly to his own room, lingering in the doorway. There was a fountain within - something to help ease his mind. It all seemed so familiar, as though he'd been living here his entire life. Yet . . . it wasn't right. Something told him that this wasn't his home, no matter how much it felt like it.
The dark-skinned male sat on the edge of the fountain, looking down into the watery depths. Using his powers, he brought a small trail of the crystal liquid up to his fingers, toying with it lightly. Teia. The name wouldn't stop tumbling about his mind. Tyrel's blue eyes narrowed as he tried to remember more about her. Suddenly, struck by a memory, he gasped. She was warm - almost too warm to touch. Just as he let out a startled sound, someone entered the room. Shara smiled sweetly before moving to sit beside her "friend." "The human is rather odd, isn't she?" Speaking as though she'd known this man for years, she reached out to stroke the stem of water that lingered about his hand. "I find her rather interesting," Tyrel replied, and shrugged lightly before letting the water cascade back into the fountain. He was surprised by the sudden boldness of the other elf as she slid into his lap. "Am I not interesting enough for you, Tyrel?" Leaning toward him, pressing against him, she kissed him softly. Tyrel blushed furiously, unable to respond. Instead, his attention went to keeping them from falling off the side of the fountain. Before he could reply, Shara kissed him again, her fingers weaving into his white hair as she fell against him. "What does she have that I don't?" Completely startled, the two elves slid from the stone's edge. Landing on the floor with a thud, Tyrel grimaced. Shara was fine - she was using him as a cushion. Once again, before he could reply, the enchantress brought herself closer to him. Whispering his name, she tried to force memories of Teia from his mind - if she could have him for a while longer, it would be an easy task. |
Teia heard a thud and woke. HSe got up and walked down the hall and to Tyrel's room. SHe opened the door and was shocked to see Tyrel kissing that other elf. She ran and pushed the women off him. He might not remember her but she still loved him with everything she had. "I know you took his memories away from him." she screamed at the women. HSe was so fed up with her. She wanted to leave that place but wasn't going to until Tyrel remembered her.
|
"No need to get all worked up, dear." Shara brushed herself off as she stood, her eyes narrowing. "I would watch what you say. Your treasured gift of immortality might end a little sooner than you thought it would if you keep this up." The enchantress looked down to Tyrel before heading for the door. "Let me know when you get the child back into bed."
Tyrel was still blushing furiously when Shara left. Clearing his throat, the aquatic elf stood and moved toward the fountain again. Leaning against the cold stone, he took a deep breath. "I know you are more than a friend to me," he whispered, his accent thick. Looking up to her, he smiled grimly. "But I don't remember. I only assume that, because of your actions, you are jealous." Another blush spread over his face, and he reached out to touch Teia's arm. "Please don't be angry with her." |
Teia glared at the door until she felt his hand on her arm. She turned to him. "Yes I am jealous. When you used to kiss me lovingly and hold me close. But now you wont even hug me. But you wont do anything when your own kind kisses you." she said and slumped to the ground. She looked up at him with big eyes about to cry. "Do you eve want to remember me?" she whispered. "BEcause if you don't I can leave you forever" she said and looked down scared for his answer.
|
Silence filled the room. Something tugged his mind to say that he wanted her to go. Just as he opened his mouth to say as much, the elf blinked in surprise. "I don't want you to leave." He knew that Teia was right - he had a hard time even hugging her, let alone actually feeling close to the human. But . . . was it possible that it was Shara's doing? Perhaps this woman's anger toward his supposed friend wasn't all misconceptions. After all, the enchantress had taken his memory away. "I . . . I still want you."
His words startled him. That wasn't quite what he was going to say. He didn't even know this girl; how could he say such a thing? Slowly letting his hand move up to her face, he wiped away a tear that was on the verge of slipping down her cheek. "I can learn to love you as I once did." Something told him that he couldn't live without this girl, and even if Shara's charms had a hold on him, he wasn't going to just let Teia walk away. "I know you mean much to me. I know that you love me. I want to return your feelings." She was a beautiful creature - worthy of many men's love. The only reason that Teia would be here with him, with the elves, would be if he had brought her. |
Teia looked up at him smiling. She was about to hug him but then just let her hand fall to her sides. She sat next to him and put her hand in the water playing with it. "THen I will stay." she said looking up at him. She yawned and laid her head down onto his lap without thinking. "I know you can remember me. You just have to want to and let it happen" she whispered and feel asleep clutching his pants. She curled close to him. She felt like she was home.
|
Clearing his throat, Tyrel watched the girl lay her head down. Slowly stroking her hair, the elf smiled. I can come to love you even more than I once did. His blue eyes filled with care, and he let himself slip into rest - an unseeing sleep-like daze that elves slip into.
The night felt shorter than it really was. ((:XD Alright, I have to go. I'll have to post later. Sorry for leaving you with so little to reply to!)) |
Teia smiled in her sleep as she sleept soundly. Once morning came she looked up at Tyrel and smiled widely. She was so happy he was going to try and love her again and try and remember her. She got up and wrapped a blanket around him and went to the window and looked at the sun rise. She sat in the window sill and watched it.
|
((Oh . . . hunny, I am so sorry. I don't have much time on Mene anymore . . . so don't be surprised if I never reply. *sobs* I'll try to keep at it.))
Tyrel woke slowly, smiling when he found the blanket resting around him. The elf looked toward the window to see Teia, and his blue eyes lit with a smile. It slowly appeared on his dark face as well. "Perhaps it would be best if we left this place," the elf said, tilting his head to watch her better. "Something keeps telling me that we should go." |
Teia looked over at him and smiled. "Good morning" she siad and walked over to him. She sat on the bed next to him and moved the hair that was in his face lovingly. "What were you saying?" she asked looking at him curiously.
|
"W-we should leave this place," Tyrel whispered, closing his eyes as the hair was brushed away from them. The dark-skinned elf was still for a moment, allowing the quiet to sift through the room. His soft sigh broke the silence. Tyrel's blue eyes moved toward Teia. "I don't want to stay here."
From what he could remember - or thought he remembered - they weren't supposed to stay long. "Come with me. I found a map the other day that might be useful." Standing, he slipped his hand into hers. |
Teia smiled and nodded. "I will follow" she said and couldn't help but smile. He must be remembering and that made her happy. She knew under everything he was still the Tyrel she knew and loved. She thought this must have been the old him. The him before he meet her. that's it. she thought. if I can get to a place that is like the first time we meet that might help him remember more she prayed this would work.
|
"This way," Tyrel said with a small smile. Leading Teia down a few flights of magically floating stairs, the elf snagged their old packs. They had been set aside and ready for use for a while now. The aquatic male kept his blue eyes locked on the exit until they were outside of the gold-trimmed tower. As soon as they were, he took a deep breath of air. It felt cleaner for once.
"We should get out of this forest. I don't . . . like it here." Though he felt as though memory reminded him of many days there, Tyrel didn't want to be near it any longer. His mind was lying about the years he'd spent in Shara's tower, and he didn't want to think about anything other than leaving. "According to the map, we shouldn't have to go far." The dark-skinned elf shot Teia a hesitant smile. "If I told you I would help you, then I will go through with it. I don't break my promises." Taking her hand Tyrel headed toward the first path that came into sight. They would be near the mountains again within a day or so. - From the balcony where she stood, Shara grit her teeth. Clenching her fists in anger, the slender elf snarled. "Just because you leave," she whispered to the wind, "doesn't mean you are safe. I will make you both suffer." The enchantress spun toward the building, entering her room with a flare. She would alert the next elf they were to visit. Perhaps it was time to show them how futile their hopes really were. |
Teia followed and kept close. "You are the sweetest thing Tyrel." she said and kissed his cheek. "Have you remembered anything?" she asked looking up at him with eyes filled with hope. She hoped he would remember soon. She wanted things to go back to the same. She wanted her Tyrel back. Once this was all over she was going to get back at Shara for ever doing this.
