Falkner looked at Kay with a pained expression. He couldn't bear to see her so upset and for the first time, he didn't know what to say at the moment. After sitting for a good ten minutes, he kissed Kaeia on the cheek, hoping this would help ease her sorrow. "C'mon Kay, I don't like see you like this. Cheer up or I'll do something drastic." Falkner was very serious about getting her to smile and getting her out of her funk, but he couldn't do it if she didn't cooperate with him.

Kay looked up sadly and snuggled closer to him. "I am sorry. I just can't cheer up." she said and kissed his cheek. She just couldn't. She really wanted to. She didn't like how she worried him like this. It tore her apart to hurt him like this. She sighed and laid down and laid her head in his lap. She messed with his pants while she tried to cheek up.

Falkner frowned and pulled Kaeia closer to him as she kissed his cheek. He kissed her on the lips softly, but there was meaning in it. "Look at me sweetheart, I will make you feel better. I give you my word hon." He rubbed her hands cautiously. His eyes shifted quickly when he noticed Kay was playing with his pants. "Um, what are you doing babe?" His eyes fell on her gently and his heart hammered rapidly as his mind wandered to places they shouldn't be.

Kay looked up at him. "Nothing. Just messing with them" she said sadly. She looked him in the eyes wondering what e was going to do to make her feel better. "What are you going to do to make me feel better?" she asked softly and kept messing with his pants. She knew she was probably sending the wrong message but all she was doing was trying to keep her mind off of what happened.

Falkner took a deep breath and sighed. "I'm sorry Kay, I knew what you were doing. I was just ... I don't even know anymore. I'm just happy to make small conversation with you." He leaned down and kissed her forehead as gently as he could until it felt as though his lips weren't even touch her. The air around them was easy to take in and with no tension in the atmosphere, there was nothing he believed that they couldn't do. Touching the bullet wound on his chest, Falkner knew he would wear that scar as a medal signifying that it was the day that he'd confess the love he had for Kaeia. He began to play in her hair and whispered, "Are you going to call your mom? Let her know you made it back?" His eyes were telling her that she should eliminate any possible stress that could arise like her mother blowing up his phone in worry.

Kay sighed. "Yes but I am just enjoying being right here with you" she whispered and kissed his hand. "You make me feel like nothing bad had ever happened or anything bad will happen. I feel so safe in your arms" she whispered and kept close to him. "I love you so much" she whispered. She truly loved him. He was the best thing to ever happen to her.

Falkner shook his head like he usually did. "That's the plan Kay. Nothing bad will happen to you while I'm around." He knew that she understood that him without her was a major disaster. He wasn't going to allow anything to tear them apart. His heart swelled when she expressed her love for him and he stroked Kaeia's hair softly. He whispered to her calmly, "I love you too sweetheart." Falkner leaned over and kissed her forehead again.

Kay smiled. She got closer and closed her eyes happily. "I guess I should go call my mother now but I don't want to move away from you" she whispered. "Falkner what would you be doing right now if you hadn't found me? Or if you had just kept on walking?" she asked looking up at him curiously.

Falkner laughed at the laziness that was present in Kaeia. It seemed as though his influence was seeping into her. "Aw Kayzie, don't be like me. You should go get the phone, even though I don't want to separate from you." He held her close, laughing at how they were so close to each other after a few days, but she asked a question that silenced him instantly. The young man never thought about what he would do if he didn't save her, let alone walked past her. "I think I would be a total ass if I left you there to die. I think it would suck if I didn't help you. Oh well, you're my baby girl now and I will always be there for you." Falkner cupped her face into his hands and kissed her on the lips passionately.

Kay looked up at him smiling. She giggled and kissed him back. "Well I am so very glad you found me." she whispered and looked him into the eyes. "You have no idea how much you mean to me and how much you have changed my life" she whispered then sat up. "Ok I will be right back" she said and grabbed the phone then laid back down next to him. "Yeah Hi mom.....I am fine......Falkner was in the hospital and I wanted to see him....yeah I will be careful.....I love you too mom......bye" she hung up and got closer to him.

Falkner frowned as Kay walked away and he knew that if he hated being her walking out of the room for a couple of seconds, imagine how badly he would react if she left to go out of state. He laid his head on her shoulder when she returned to the room. His head began to swim in endless possiblity. Looking at Kaeia when she hung up the phone, Falkner was curious what happened. "Hey, what'd your mom say?" He didn't know if she would be upset or something.

Kay giggled. "She was really worried. But she is fine now"she said looking up at him. "Falkner what are you thinking about?" she asked curiously. She wanted to know what he was thinking because he was just so amazing to her. SHe looked up into his eyes smiling.

Falkner laughed as he placed his hand on top of hers and chewed on his lower lip. Kay was a curious one. He knew that it could be something that would probably get the better of him, but also make him love her more. "I was thinking about how much I would miss you if you were to leave me. I would seriously feel cripple without you." His eyes were closed when he said this carefully.

Kay giggled and nodded. "Me to and that is why I will never leave you" she whispered and kissed him lovingly. He was so amazing. She couldn't believe he was all hers. "I love you" she whispered keeping her eyes closed but keeping close to him.

Falkner smiled at Kay and his eyes were bright with color. His silver hair shone in the light of the sun as it came through the window. When she said that she would never leave him, he shifted himself on the sofa. It cause Kaeia to move along with him. "I'll hold you too that," Falkner said with a bit of gleefulness. The phrase "I love you" sent a strange current through him. A smile radianted from his face and he mumbled, "I love you too, Kay." Suddenly his phone rung, but he couldn't get up and separate himself from her. Falkner whispered, "Let it ring. I'm not ready to part yet."

Kay giggled and kissed his nose. "Ok." she said and snuggled closer to him. She was so content with her life right now she didn't want it to ever be ruined. SHe loved Falkner with her whole being. He was so perfect and wonderful. She buried her face into his chest and never wanted to move. he was just the most wonderful guy ever.

Falkner had his hands placed on Kay’s hips and laughed when she kissed his nose. He moved his arms and wrapped them around her protectively. He didn’t know what love was before Kaeia waltzed into his life. The room was quiet for a moment as they sat on the sofa, enjoying the time they had together. One thing was still bugging him though; he was irritated that her mother would come to the house at any given moment and basically interrogate the crap out him. That was definitely going to be a fun surprise. Falkner leaned his face down, pressing his lips against her hair and inhaled her scent. It was oddly intoxicating, but he wasn’t going to complain about it.

Kay smiled and keept close to Falkner. He was so sweet and caring that she couldn't believe she had almost hated him. She looked up at him. She saw the irritation in his eyes. "What's the matter?" she asked and stroked his hair gently. She loved the feel of his hair so much. It was so soft and it felt his scent on her hands. It was intoxicating but she knew she couldn't live with out that scent anymore. She couldn't live with out him any more. You take Falkner away from her and you take away her life.

Falkner flashed a quick smile and then his lips turned into a thin line. He could have sworn that Kay knew him like they grew up together or it may have been that he kept his emotions on his sleeves. Shaking his head, he didn’t feel like bothering her with his trivial thoughts. “It’s nothing, toots. Just relax Kay; you know I don’t want you to worry about anything.” His smile came back and his teeth shone brightly in light. Falkner stared into Kaeia’s eyes and lost track of everything. “You really are beautiful. I love having you around,” he said in a low voice. Leaning down, he kissed her slowly, but then he began to pick up speed.

Kay nodded and kissed him back. SHe moved closer ot him slightly and wrapped her arms around his neck. SHe had never felt this way before but it wasn't a bad feeling. She enjoyed it and embraced it as she got even closer to him.

Falkner knew that Kay was basically damaged merchandise. What this meant was that she still hadn’t gotten over her recent incident. He didn’t want to wreck his relationship before it really started, so he paced himself and rubbed her sides carefully. “I’m sorry, Kay. I should really learn to control myself. We don’t want to blow it, now do we?” He teased her slightly and poked his tongue out as he allowed himself to be absorbed into her neck-locking embrace. The atmosphere was still filled affection and he knew that he wasn’t going to break his own rule as well as Kaeia’s.

Kay smiled and kissed his nose. "It's alright. I trust you not to blow our relationship. And you are the only man I trust now." she whispered and curled closer to him. "I am sorry I am so broken. I wish I wasn't for you because you deserve someone who isn't broken" she said looking up at him sadly. She knew that even if she was healed she would never be completely healed.

Falkner laughed when he received a kiss from Kay and laid her on the sofa, kissing her earnestly. He was still smiling when she told him that she trusted him and this truly made him feel special. His expression was crestfallen when he realized that she picked up on his thoughts. “No, I’m sorry. There is nothing wrong with you. I’m lucky to have you, no matter what state you are in,” he said quickly. After thinking more on the subject, Falkner scratched his head cautiously and mumbled, “You are how you are and I love you no matter what. So don’t worry yourself about these things. I know I asked that of you a lot today, but I don’t want you to worry.” His face was conflicted with trying to comfort her and keep himself from melting down about everything that dribbled from his mouth.

Kay looked up at him sadly but then she smiled. Tears welled up in her eyes. She wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his shirt. "Falkner you are the best thing to ever happen to me." she sobbed keeping close to him. "I just wish I wasn't because you deserve it." she said and closed her eyes trying to stop crying. "I love you so much and I never want to be with out you"

Falkner took Kay’s face into his hands, wiping the tears from her eyes. He closed his eyes as she embraced him and buried her face against him, but for the first time, he didn’t really know what to do. It was then that he realized that they were going in circles with their situation and what they were saying. “I don’t think I am the best, but you definitely are the best thing that has happened and that will happen to me.” His expression was grave and he stroked her hair carefully as he reflected on what she’d said. “You know I’m not the most patient person, but I am willing to keep arguing with you. You are perfect sweetheart. I know that you will never forget your pain, but you will have me to erase a little bit of the hurt. I will always be by your side, so don’t forget that.” His body rumbled when he chuckled as she expressed her love once again. “I love you as well and I can promise you that nothing will separate us,” he said gently while rubbing Kaeia’s back.
