Philippe appeared outside Amy's little place. He'd been here a number of occasions, some just to watch her, others to offer her a better life. In exchange for her blood of course. He also just wanted the pleasure of seeing her everyday. If she would only accept his offer. He gently tapped on the door with his knuckle and waited, looking relaxed, but rigid.

Amy looked up from her candle lit book and sighed. He had come again for her. She honestly didn't know why she was holding back. He offered her a better life, one full of promise and hope. Her current life was horrible, she had no power and barely ate, her tiny apartment was more like a one room shack. Ramen noodles and water was her meals every day. He was offering her a place to live with everything included, she wouldn't have to pay one thing. Well, the only thing was holding her back was his one condition. He was a vampire and he wanted to drink her blood. He didn't want to kill her, he just liked her blood and wanted it whenever he needed it.

She looked up at the window and walked over to the door. "Hey Philippe" she said with a tiny hint of sadness in her voice. She didn't know why she didn't just give in. He wouldn't hurt her and they both got along so well. She held out her arm to let him in. "you can come in if you would like... I know you can see in here better then I can.." she was holding a flashlight as she walked around the small house.

Philippe smiled at her warmly. "Hello, Amy." Then nodded slightly, stepping inside, closing the door behind him softly. Waiting a second for his eyes to adjust, he scowled slightly. He hated the way she lived. It annoyed him that she wouldn't just come live with him so she wouldn't have to live this way. But, he would not force her. Nobody said he couldn't be persistent though. "How are you doing lately, my dear?"

Amy sighed and wished she could smack him sometimes. She didn't want to end up with a broken arm or a lost friend so she kept her comments to herself. She knew he could read her mind and she knew that he knew that she wasn't doing well at all. She just scowled at him as she walked into the kitchen. "would you like some noodles?" She asked him with a joking matter. She knew he didn't like human food, well she didn't either, not the same thing every meal. She went to her fridge and pulled out a bottle of water, took a sip and put it back. She was running out of noodles and her water supply was running low as well.

Sooner or later she would have to leave with him. "I am doing great! Just peachy, watching everyone else around me doing wonderfully makes me so happy" That wasn't entirely a lie, she did like that no one else was in the same situation as her. She sighed softly and turned to him sadly. "Why do you keep trying to help me? Is my blood really worth that much?" She tried to make a joke to make herself feel a bit better. "besides I take hour long showers.. you wouldn't like that..." To be honest, she hadn't had an hour long shower in a super long time. Her showers are normally five minutes long or so.

Philippe watched her face, smirking. He did like pushing her buttons. He'd told her he could read her mind, but really he just got little snippets, the rest he got by watching her movements, face and eyes. It was pretty easy to tell what she was thinking. Since she wanted to joke, he did as well. He patted his stomach lightly. "No, thank you. Just ate." He smirked again, though it slipped into a small frown when he saw the state of her fridge.

He shook his head slightly at her joking. Then gave her a serious look when she looked at him like that. "For one thing...yes. To me, your blood is priceless. I also don't like seeing you live like this." His voice was careing and soft as he spoke those words. He grinned slightly when she mentioned showers. "I wouldn't mind if you spent that long in the shower. Even if you're in there so long that you come out pruney." He chuckled softly.

Amy giggled softly at the thought of her looking prune. She only saw her fingers pruny, she didn't wanna imagine her face or arms. She looked over to him and sighed again, why did he have to be so kind? She looked down and away from him. "your sure that it is everything you want from me? I can't offer much else.." Her head was hung in defeat, she was giving up too soon, but she was so hungry and her hair was looking pretty bad. He caught her at a weak moment in the night. She wasn't feeling good and just wanted some advil, which of course she didn't have. "what do I have to do?" she asked still looking away from him.

Philippe stepped up to her, a soft and kind smile on his face. "That is all. I promise." He gently tilted her chin up to look at him, his eyes questioning. "Are you sure?" He didn't want her to turn and run away hurt later.

Amy closed her eyes when he made her look at her. She couldn't face defeat, she hated giving up. "no..." she whispered as a tear fell down her face. "what other choice do I have.. I can't pay rent anymore.. my hair is falling out.. I haven't had anything besides noodles and water for months..." She pulled away from his gaze. "I'll do anything... just get me out of here now.. I can't be here anymore..." She had broken, she was complete putty in his hands now.

Philippe stared at her, feeling a little guilty. He gently pulled her to him, hugging her for a moment. "I promise...it won't be as bad as you think." He kissed her forehead and stroked her hair, seeing now what she meant by her hair, he looked a little sad. "Come. I'll get you out of here...is there anything you'd like to bring?" He asked, but he couldn't imagine she'd want anything.

Amy closed her eyes and shivered in his embrace, he was so cold and she was so hot. It felt amazing. She hugged him tighter as she placed her head in his chest. He wouldn't hurt her. She pulled away and looked around and then shook her head. She was reading a book, but it was her only book. She had sold the rest of them before. "I don't need anything..." she said softly. She hated living there and she really wanted to get out. She was headed towards a new life and she wouldn't look back.

Philippe smiled softly when she did that. He loved that she trusted him, it make things so much easier. He let her go when she pulled away, then nodded. "Alright. Shall we?" He offered his arm to her, with a kind smile. He would take her to his home. Though he debated whether or not she looked like she could make it.

Amy looked at him and then down to his arm. He was taking this all the way. She sighed softly and took his arm as the walked out of her tiny house. Once they stepped outside she turned and took one last look at it before heading to his house. It wasn't that long a walk but it was amazing how the view changed once they got into his neighborhood. People were a lot nicer and there wasn't as much trash on the streets. "which one is yours?" she asked him softly.

Philippe ignored his surroundings until she asked a question. He looked at her, smiling a little. "That one over there." He pointed was about a three acre plot of land with a four story house set on a small hill in the back of the neighborhood. There was a long drive that went up to it. Most people would probably call it a mansion. "How do you like it?"

Amy looked to where he pointed and gasped. It was at least four times bigger then her shack. Ten of her houses couldn't fit into that thing. He wasn't kidding when he told her that he had a big house. It was a big house with lots and lots of room, there was probably a huge table to eat too. There was a huge yard, font back and sides. It was the biggest house on the block. "I don't know what to say..." she said softly. Blood couldn't be enough for that.

Philippe chuckled softly. "How about, 'Wow, Philippe! It's such a big house!'." He joked. Then gently pulled her towards it. "You don't have to say anything. If you don't want to that is. It's not like I'm giving it to you." He chuckled. "You're just going to live here....but I guess it's pretty cool." He smiled, he did lover her reaction.

Amy giggled and nodded as he tried to comfort her. "Wow! Philippe! It's such a big house!" She said in a super high pitched voice. She looked towards the house again and smiled softly. "how many rooms is it?" she asked him softly. Maybe it would be alright after all. At least after a good shower she wouldn't smell like a dog.

Philippe laughed at how she said that as he led her up the driveway. "Well...hmm...I'm not sure actually. More than 30 rooms. A pretty sizable kitchen, though there are only about 4 people to cook for....now 5, since you are here." He smiled at her. "Now...there is a pretty large dining room, though I never really use it. I send alot of time in the living room. There is a parlor, though I don't much use it. A pretty good sized library, all kinds of books." Then he scratched his head a moment, as if trying to remember something. "Well, there are a number of bedrooms you can have. I've got one of three master suites. So I guess I'll put you in one of the other two, unless you want a smaller room that is. The master suites have pretty good sized bathrooms. I was assuming you'd like your own."

Amy nodded and gasped as he spoke. It was unreal. "I certainly don't need a master suite.. your smallest room is probably bigger then my entire apartment..." She said jokingly but it was most likely more then accurate. She sighed and knew that either way he had the say. "Are you uhhh..." She didn't know how to ask when he payment was due. Maybe after she cleaned up so it tasted better? "are you going to eat after I shower or before?" she asked him as if they were talking about something as normal as pizza.

Philippe chuckled softly at her joke. Even though it was sort of true. He looked down at her when she sighed. "Look....I..." He sighed softly. "I do not wish to be rude....but I would rather not take any of your blood while you are so weak. I can tell you are, I don't wish to...hurt you." He looked a little sad at the thought. "I want you to spend a couple days eating and resting."

Amy looked down away from him and she just nodded. He was right once again. "Well despite the fact that I don't own anything I am a real good cook... I can make breakfast for everyone else tomorrow.. or are they all like you?" She winced slightly, that sounded a lot worse then it was meant to. "sorry..." she whispered sheepishly. Was she the only human in the house? That would make things interesting for sure.

Philippe didn't seem offended by this. "No. Not everyone there is a vampire. But the others are older humans with no family. That way I'm not questioned." He nodded slightly with a soft smile. "You may cook if you wish." He shook his head and led her to the door. "Do not worry, there is nothing to be sorry about." He smiled and opened the door, leading into a long hallway.

Amy sighed as he seemed to brush off the slight insult. He was taking her in and already she was treating him poorly. He even said that he wouldn't feed from her right away. She followed him inside and looked around. She wondered if there was a storage of food for him that she could put in the real food so it would taste better for him. She gasped as she looked up at the ceiling, it was about four of her houses high. "wow..." she whispered as she saw the staircase. She was speechless.

Philippe smiled at her reaction. "You like it? I thought the entrance was a little much, but they insisted." He looked at her smiling, then gently led her to the right. "The kitchen is through here and beside it is the dining room. On the other side is the livingroom and parlor."
