"You know I think he's going to be worried the whole time about what he did" She said with a laugh as she looked over at her "So are you looking forward to your first ever human Christmas?" She asked with a smile.
"And this is why I don't like humans so manipulative they are... Then again I can't talk Demons are a hell of a lot worse" he said "Well how about you tell me where we get a tree, lead the way, and I'll follow" He said |
Jemini blushed softly. "I was just messin with him...just a little. I sorta wanted to see if it would work." Then she smiled and nodded. "Though, I have to admit, this isn't the first human Christmas I've been a part of. Though....the last one was....a long time ago." She looked like she was remembering something, then shook her head and smiled at her. "So, where are we going?"
Randy just laughed softly. "Don't take it to heart. She's testing things she learns, sort of like a kid." He smiled and nodded the opposite way the girls went. "Well, both places at that way. There's the forest by my place or we can just go chop one down and buy it from a tree farm." |
"I see you've been paying to much attention to how humans do things" She said with a laugh. It seemed like Jemini was adapting well to fitting in as a human. "Well Christmas has changed a lot, it's more commercial and about making money then it used to be" She said "Mall" She said
"I wasn't taking it to heart" He said and followed after him "I really don't care, which one we go to" He said |
Jemini blinked slightly, then blushed. "I'm not too sure its a good thing though. He looked very confused...I don't like doing things like that. Even if the look on his face was kinda funny." She felt kinda bad now. "Umm...Christmas is just about making money now? Then why do people celebrate it?" That confused her.
Randy shrugged. "Knowing her, she'll probably be begging for you to forgive her." He shook his head slightly, then looked nonchalant. "Alrighty then. The forest, that way its free." He grinned. |
"Don't do something if your going to feel bad about it later, there's nothing wrong with teasing someone" She said with a laugh "Because it's a holiday, people forget the real meaning behind it though, most anyway" She said
"Probably" he said. He couldn't really say much to that, because it was the truth, or at least it probably was "So cheap, being cheap can't help you out on dates" He said with a smirk. |
Jemini nodded slightly. There's something wrong with it when they get angry with you. She looked at her a little. "Humans forget things too easily."
Randy blinked slightly, then looked at him. "I'm not interested in getting dates. I have a girl." He smiled a little. "Before her, there really wasn't any point in trying to impress anyone." |
"Well, we got greedy simple as that" She said and glanced over at Jemini "And how are things with Seth?' She asked with a smile.
"I meant taking her out on dates, not getting dates with other girls" He said with a shake of his head. Even if he had her, still usually required them to go out on dates "And now you have a reason to try and impress someone" He said |
Jemini nodded slightly, looking slightly sad. She'd seen first hand how ugly greed could make humans. Its one emotion that she hated. Then she blushed when Layla asked about her and Seth. "Well...we haven't spent much time together...other than school lately..."
Randy's face lit with understanding. "Oh! That's not a problem. There are plenty of wonderful things to do that don't cost a dime. Besides...its not how much money you spend, its the time you spend together that's important." He grinned. "But...it doesn't hurt to spoil her every now and then." |
"Why's that?" She asked. It appeared to her that they were pretty much stuck at the hip, then again with homework and midterms she really hadn't been able to spend much time with Randy herself, but Jemini and Seth should have been able to study together or something.
"You have a point, you sound like a sappy romantic" He said with a laugh. He was just really starting to learn what being romantic meant, being a Demon the word romantic was a joke in his world "And what do you plan on getting her for Christmas?" he asked |
Jemini suddenly looked ashamed. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you....my brother is my watcher." She glanced at Layla. "My twin brother." She knew Layla wouldn't have a clue what that meant, but she already knew she'd ask.
Randy laughed softly. "I'm a vampire. It's in our blood....ok. Maybe not the sappy part." Then he looked to the side slyly. "I've actually already gotten her something." |
"What does that have to do with you guys not spending a lot of time together?" She asked. She really didn't understand how the two related but she had a feeling she was about to find out.
"And here I always thought vampires were ruthless killers, mymy have we been taught wrong" He said as he glanced at him "Oh really and what would that something be?" he asked |
Jemini sighed, not looking at her. "My brother is...well, an ass. To be frank. Besides, angels and demons can be sevearly punished if they are caught with the other....my brother won't turn us in...well, because if I die....he does too. But...that doesn't mean that he can't kill Seth."
Randy's face didn't look so happy when he said that. "We are....most of us anyway. Only when we feel the need or want to. Or...for those who have no control over themselves." Then he suddenly smiled. "I got her pearls." |
"If your being watched, shouldn't you want to spend as much time as you can with him, in case you are torn away from him?" She asked, that was what made the most sense to her.
"Well I can see you aren't, what happened with you? Malfunction?" he asked jokingly "Pearls?" he asked, pearls could mean so many things a necklace, bracelet, or just pearls. |
Jemini shook her head. "No. If I spend any more time with him than what my brother will allow...then he'll come after Seth...I...wouldn't be able to stand it something happened to Seth because of me..." She knew she would go after he brother, in the end, killing herself as well.
Randy rolled his eyes slightly. "I have self control...and I don't crave murder." Not since that little girl. Then he just grinned again. "Well, a pearl necklace actually. I think a bracelet or earrings would be good for her birthday." |
"Sounds like your relationship with him, is extremely complicated" She said with a sigh. She was glad hers and Randy's wasn't that complicated, it was still complicated just not THAT complicated "Anyway we have happier things to think about right?" She asked with a smile as she reached out and took her hand and tugged her along towards the mall
"Not really what I meant, I'm still wondering about the whole romantic thing, I don't know how you got that trait" he said. Maybe that had been a trait of his when he was human or something "Interesting" He said. |
Jemini nodded solemly, then blinked slightly at her sudden tugging her along. "Christmas is supposed to be a happy occasion."
Randy blinked slightly, looking at him a little. "Well...how should I explain this...vampires are...seducers. That's what we are called, but that's what we are in truth. To get a victim, you'd seduce them, then drink from them. Anyone would find this wrong or sickening. I'm not saying its not, but people aren't going to just come up to you and offer their blood." |
"And you'll get to spend it with Seth, so get rid of the frown and smile for me" She said as she glanced back at her "Don't worry I'll make sure you two get time to be alone" She said
"Seducing someone is technically different then being romantic, if there the same thing, are you saying you've tried the same things on Layla as you do to someone you want to feed off of?" he asked |
Jemini did smile a little, just at the thought of being able to be with Seth. "Thank you.."
Randy blushed, looking away. "Not exactly....I was just saying where the romantic thing started. It grew off of when vampires started falling for humans. They knew seducing was too....well, disgusting if you wanted a 'long term' relationship, they tried doing it the human way. Then sort of...perfected it." |
"No problem, what else are friends for, but to make things happen?" She asked as she glanced at her "Besides I know your happiest when your with him" She said with a smile. Besides that meant she would get to spend some time alone with Randy, so she wasn't complaining.
"Not exactly? So you have tried seducing her, shameshame" he said with a laugh. "That's an interesting story though, isn't the problem with falling for a human, or in your case even a werewolf, the fact they eventually age and die, where as you won't?" He asked |
Jemini smiled more and nodded slightly. She had been most happy with Seth lately.
Randy looked slightly embarrased and a little ashamed at the same time. Then all of a sudden he looked very sorrowful. "Yes...that is the main problem." |
"Soo, what do you plan on getting him for Christmas?" She asked figuring they needed a slight more happier subject change
Seth laughed some at his reaction "And how did that work out for you?" He asked as he glanced over at her "Is there anyway, to make it so she can live forever?" he asked. |
Jemini thought for a moment. "I'm not sure...I don't really know how much money I have."
Randy didn't answer his first question, seeming embarrased. Then he shook his head. "None that I know of." |
"Well I'm sure anything you get him he'll love" She said with a smile "Hell I'm sure just you being with him will be enough" She said
"It didn't work out, I can tell just by your reaction" He said as he looked at him "You can't turn a werewolf?" he asked. it kind of made sense, they could still die, but could they be turned? |
Jemini smiled. "I guess. But I want to get him something nice anyway."
Randy just didn't respond to his jabbing. Then he gave him an odd look. "Do you really think anyone has tried?" |
"Well then what does he like?' she asked "Not everything nice is expensive" She said with a smile
"Okay so you go me there" He said with a shrug "I honestly can't see why it wouldn't work" He said |
