Jemini turned and looked back at him, then looked the other way. Her face turned red and looked away. "Fine." She didn't like that he laughed at her. It made her feel stupid.
Randy blinked and looked at her. "Me? I don't want anything with you. I am just curious. I've never been around a werewolf without them trying to eat me." He half joked. |
Layla turned and looked at him and twitched a little "Oh, I'm sorry your not my type, I like hotter guys" She said with an innocent smile. She had never tried to bite anyone, at least on purpose nor did she plan on trying to bite anyone "Being as you know what I am, you do want something, don't plan stupid" She said
Seth blinked and held back another laugh and lead the way "Sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel stupid, or embarrass you, it was kinda cute" he said. Weather or not he was lying or telling the truth, she would never know. But oddly enough somehow he did find it cute something he didn't even know he could think of. |
Roger blinked at her. "Wow...that's not something I've heard before." He murmured. Where ever he'd gone, girls had fallen all over him. It was strange to think she didn't even find him attractive. He sighed softly. "I promise you. My only intention is to try and get to know you." His words wrung true, but his intentions may change.
Jemini blinked and looked at him suspiciously. "Don't hold it against me if I don't believe you." She waited until she was at least a couple feet away before following him. |
Layla looked over at him and raised an eye brow "Oh I'm sorry, Did I insult you by saying that?" She asked with a fake sort of concern to her voice "Huum, I think I'd be considered a fool if I was to believe you, being as you know what I am, what are you exactly?" She asked. If she was going to have to fight him, she might as well know what he is, it would help her but she doubted he would tell her "I may look weak but if you try something I won't go down without a fight" She said
Seth looked over at her "I won't, I probably deserved that, after all I'm sure you're well aware of what I am just like I am of you" he said and looked away from her "You know, if I fail they will just send someone stronger than me, and if he fails, someone stronger will come, it won't go down that easily" He said. He kind of felt bad, after seeing her for a few seconds it didn't seem like she had done much wrong nor did she deserve to be killed |
Jemini gritted her teeth when he talked about him knowing what she was, though it wasn't a surpise to her. Demons and angels instantly knew when the other was around and who they were. She frowned when he talked of stronger people coming for Layla. "I was put in charge of her protection and nobody will get to her." Her voice firm and slightly angry. She didn't have much reason to dislike the demon, dispite of what he was and what he was there to do. Other than that, she found no other reasons. Though she was sure she would.
Randy frowned, this time looking actually hurt. "I guess it only fair you know what I am. I'm a vampire. Take it however you like." He looked as though he didn't want anything to do with talking to her anymore. Though he hurt inside from how hostile she had been to him. He hadn't even done anything to her, nor would he have. |
Layla looked over at him, when he said what he was, she wasn't as afraid as she thought it would be "If your a vampire... how come your out in day light?" She asked, all the stories she had heard, all usually said vampires couldn't come out in the day light, that was in till modern authors changed them up to be however they wanted them to be like, vampires that glittered, lived off animal blood what ever floated there boat. Because they believed they were mere legends they could change them up however they wanted to. "Isn't it hard for you to be around so many humans, and not you know, like want to attack any of them?" She asked.
Seth shrugged some and looked over at her "Don't worry I'm not stupid enough to try something, in a crowded area like this" He said and looked away from her. He knew if he backed out, someone stronger would come along, and backing out of a job wasn't something the Demon world took lightly it would usually end up in you're death especially if it was an important one like this, it certainly would not go over well if he failed. "Can't we just get along today? It is supposed to be a fun day after all" He said. Maybe if he got to know her, it would be easier to get past her, get her to trust him or something. |
Randy looked at her for a moment, then shrugged. "I don't know." He wasn't going to give her any information. Besides, now she wanted something to do with him? He wasn't going to except that kind of fickleness. He rolled his eyes at her question about if it was hard to be around so many humans. "Try it in your wolf form some time." He suggested dryly.
Jemini knew he wouldn't, which is the only reason she didn't just go with Layla in the first place. Her eyes narrowed as he kept talking. "I don't have any reason to event think about the attempt to get along with you. It would be useless to try anyway." Her voice bit slightly, she didn't like that he was trying to buddy up to her. |
"Can you blame me for being cautious when I have someone who was assigned to come and watch over me, obviously I'm in for something bad to happen" She said with a sigh "Sorry" She said and looked away from him "I'd rather not, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I hurt someone, I think I would rather die" She said softly
Seth looked back at her "How so? I'm not the one being rude here Am I? I believe you are" he said with an innocent smile. He hadn't said one rude thing to her since he meet her, in fact he had been nice, which he found himself not forcing it like he usually had to "I've done nothing wrong, yet" he said |
Randy listened to her than gently touched her arm to make her stop. "Sooner or later...you will hurt someone. It isn't something you can help. Now, killing is something different all together. I've only killed one person...that was a long time ago, when I was a fledgling. I've never drank enough blood to kill since. My morals keep me from doing such things. And, I've never drank from an innocent person." He frowned at her slightly. "If you throw your life away because you hurt someone, because it is your nature, you are foolish."
Jemini just kept the hard look on her face. "I did not say you were being rude. As a matter of fact, you are being unnaturally nice to someone who is your blood enemy." She stopped speaking for a moment. "I know why you are here, and why that vampire is hanging around Layla. I have no reason to be nice to you. The only reason I have not attacked you already is simple. We are in public and people would get hurt, and you have not made a move yet. Those are the only two reasons." |
Layla looked over at him "You don't know that, I could go my whole life without hurting someone" She said. She didn't want to face that fact, even though she knew he was probably right, but she didn't want to face that. "Huum, I never pictured vampires as someone like you, you don't seem like you're that bad of a person, pretty decent actually" She said "I'm not foolish, I never asked for any of this, as I'm sure you didn't either, I never said I would throw my life away, but I would rather be killed than harm someone who was innocent" She said. He wasn't going to change her beliefs about that, she believed strongly in that.
Seth shrugged "You aren't really my blood enemy, as you've never done anything to me that should make you my enemy that is purely a feud of the past because they can't work past there differences" He said with a shrug. "You don't know what I blame on doing, nor do you know what he plans on doing, chances are he'll end up on you're side anyway, vampire with morals, never saw that one coming" he said with a small chuckle "Besides I haven't hurt her, and for all you know I don't plan on it" he said |
Randy listened to her, her words sounded sadly familiar. "I know you didn't ask for this. But, you have to accept what you are, or you will hate yourself....and that's no way to live." His voice sounded as if he talked from experience. Randy smiled softly, but a little sadly. "There are few people who are innocent." He didn't want to scare her, but the first person she'd probably hurt was a friend or someone in her family. Then children. That's just how wolves worked most of the time. Attracked to the tender flesh of children and their innocence and lack of fear.
Jemini eyed him for a moment. "Whatever." She knew better than to believe that he wasn't planning on doing anything to Layla. Though she was kinda sceptical about the vampire. He didn't seem evil to her...nor even mean. |
Layla glanced over at him "I do not hate myself" She said. That was the truth she didn't hate herself, at least she didn't hate herself yet anyway. "I'm living perfectly fine, thank you" She said. she didn't want his advice on how to live, she didn't want to know the way she was dealing with things could be wrong "That's not true, there are a lot of people with good in them, they just sometimes make stupid mistakes, there are a lot of innocent people out there" She said "Besides I don't plan on being like others, I don't want to hurt people and I will use all my power to prevent it" She said firmly
Seth looked at her "I'm not going to try anything" He said with a bit of a roll of his eyes. Getting her to trust him wasn't going to be easy at all "Just because I'm a demon doesn't mean I have evil intentions" He said. Well it kind of did, but he wasn't going to point that out. It was mostly because they were forced to be evil, at the start anyway now it was just a way of life. |
Randy looked at her, then sighed softly and released her. "Fine.." Then he turned and went to talk to the person in charge of the water games.
Jemini knew he was going to try something, he wouldn't be bothering her if he wasn't. But his statement about him not having to be evil sort of stuck. Though she knew his intentions were. They'd come to the ticket booth and she talked with the girl. "We were told to come help. What do you need help with." The girl smiled. "Can you stack the tickets first? There are three kinds. Green, blue and red. Then label them. Green for children, blue for adults eighteen to fifty. The red ones are for anyone over fifty. Got it?" Then she turned and went about doing what she was. |
Layla turned and looked at him for a second "The minute I stop having faith in who I am, is the minute I give in to what everyone else has, the minute I stop believing is the minute I lose who I am, and I don't intend to let that happen" She said. She would wait in till he was finished talking to go find out what the person wanted her to do, she wasn't sure if she wanted to be around him, hell he probably didn't want to be around her.
Seth looked at her "I got you thinking a little didn't I?" He asked and then listened to what the lady had said, that couldn't be to hard to remember right, at least the job would be easy enough. "Shall we get started?" he asked as he looked over at her "You may think you know me, but really you don't" he said as he went to work doing what he was instructed to do. |
Randy shook his head. "Nobody said you had to give up your morals....or who you are. Being a wolf is just part of what you are now." He sighed. When he came back he smiled just a little. "We are to hook up the hoses to the water guns in the water pump game and fill the tank with fish."
Jemini didn't say a word to him. She just picked up a pile and started sorting. |
Layla looked at him "I never denied that, did I?" She asked. If she hadn't already accepted that part, she would have denied it when he cracked that comment about her biting him "You don't seem like a bad person, and I rather like you as a person, but you can't say what I'm going to do in the future, that cannot be accounted for in till it happens" She said "Alright" She said with a soft smile. Hoses that could pose to be fun, if she was allowed to spray someone with him, mainly him, but she didn't know how he would take such a thing.
Seth looked over at her and didn't say anything for a while. She was right not to trust him, but he felt the urge to harm the wolf girl, go down. It was like he wanted someone to be able to trust him, and what had the girl done to him? Nothing as of yet, and she probably wouldn't. The elders had done more things to harm him then she had, maybe he should help protect her, he knew they would send other Demons, and one Angel wouldn't be able to stop them for long, they would keep sending stronger and stronger Demons in till they got there own way "I understand you don't trust me, but I'm not going to do anything to her, or you, now or later" he said as he continued to do his work. |
Randy smiled softly at her. "Its most likely to happen, is all I meant by it. Though, now I can see you might be strong enough to resist." He smiled and motioned for her to follow him to the hoses.
Jemini was halfway done with her pile. She looked sort of happy, finding sorting the ticket kind of entertaining. But, when he spoke the smile slipped from her face a little. "I have no reason to trust you. And you'll understand if I can't believe that you won't." |
"Well, I can't promise it will never happen, but I will do everything in my power to prevent it from happening" She said and looked at him as she followed after him "About how mad would you be, if I was to say accidentally spray you with said hose?" She asked, she couldn't resist it sounded like fun. And fun was something she hadn't had in a long time.
Seth looked over at her and smiled, it was funny how she looked happy sorting tickets. He didn't mind doing it, but honestly it was pretty boring work "And just what can I do, to get you to trust me?" He asked with a raised eye brow "Just tell me" he said |
Radny nodded, seeming satisfied with her answer. Then he blinked and looked at her, suddenly laughing. "But do you have the guts, is the question."
Jemini looked at him, then a little suspicious. "I don't know....if I think of something, I might tell you." Then she went back to sorting tickets, soon getting the smile back on her face. |
Layla stared at him and narrowed her eyes a little "How rude, are you implying I am a coward?" She asked as she walked over to one of the hoses and looked at him with a smirk "Well, sucks for you, shouldn't have tempted me, with such an accusation" She said and took the hose and sprayed it with him "Ha" She said
Seth sighed some "I'm trying to be nice, you could at least be a little helpful you know" He said and looked down at the tickets, how boring he thought as he went back to doing the assignment at hand. Humans always had such boring jobs why couldn't it be something more interesting that they had to do, oh yay sorting tickets so exhilarating. |
Randy laughed. "No, I am not." Then laughed as he was sprayed, putting his hands up to block it from hitting his face and turning his head away. When she was done, he got an evil grin on his face as he picked up a hose in each hand and kicked the switches for them to come on and sprayed her back with both.
Jemini glanced at him when he said that and thought to herself. She was enjoying sorting and labeling the tickets, but how he told her that sort of killed her mood. She didn't look at him. "Fine." She muttered as she sorted, not looking at him when she said it. |
Layla smirked some "I believe you were" She said with a laugh. She jumped a little when the cold water hit her, but couldn't help but laugh as she moved out of the way of the water, and looked at him, she was no soaking wet "Well it's a good thing I didn't wear white, or I would be regretting it right now" She said as she looked at him "Maybe we should do work before we get in trouble" She said
Seth glanced at her "I meant with telling me what I can do to earn your trust" he said, he wasn't sure if she knew that was what he meant or though he was criticizing her on the job she was doing sorting the tickets. "This is boring" he mumbled softly to himself. |
Randy laughed when he saw her soaking wet. "You're probably right, but I think you're the only one that'd get in trouble. I don't even don't go to your school." Though he started hooking up the hoses. "It's a little hard to work when your clothes are sticking to you." He chuckled.
Jemini nodded slightly. "I know what you meant." She looked at him for a moment. "There is one way that I can see if you are trust worthy or not. Do you already have all your classes assigned?" |
Layla looked at him and sighed "WELL you offered to help, they could kick you our for being a bad influence" She said with a small laugh "I'm pretty sure they will believe me over you, when I say you started it" She said as she started to work "Shouldn't have tempted me then" She said
Seth looked at her "Well, good, because I'm serious" He said. Oddly enough he was being serious and didn't want to get her to trust him to hurt her, there was something he found interesting about her and he wanted to learn more about her "Huum, you mean like, the classes for this school?" He asked |
Randy chuckled to himself. "You're very....what is the word...hm...manipulative?" He guessed playfully. He chuckled more as he finished half and went to help her, but then stopped and let her do them.
Jemini nodded slightly. "Yes, for the school? Do you have them picked out and signed for yet?" |
