Name: Kota Lee Morris.
Age:Eighteen.
Appearance:Just under 5'7, Kota is slightly on the short side for his age. His figure is slender, on the lithe side, athletic thanks to his position on the track team. He only plays the sport to keep his father happy, but it is a perk that it keeps him in shape. His torso is fairly long, as are his arms, giving him a lanky appearance. His hair is a plain, mousy brown, left long, and shaggy, his blond highlighted fringe often falling into his eyes, the back just passing the nape of his neck. His eyes are what he considers a boring shade of hazel, in some lights appearing green, in others brown. Around his pupils there is a very subtle ring of copper, giving some intrigue to his almond shaped eyes, which are lined heavily with thick dark eyelashes. His face is thin, but not sickly, his nose long, straight and narrow, making his wide mouth appear even fuller. ((I'll draw a picture of him later.))
Personality:Quiet sometimes, slightly apathetic, but generally a good kid. A bit distant, and not very open. He's not rude, but definitely appreciates his privacy. Openly gay, but not flamboyant about it.

Name:
Tanner Conrad Robertson

Age:
Twenty-one

Appearance:
Standing at 6'2, Tanner has the classic 'All American' look. He has a built figure, but not overly muscular. This can be attributed to his position as starting quarterback for his college's football team. He has very broad shoulders and a well defined torso which is proportionate to his lower half. His sandy blond hair is kept in a short but messy cut. His eyes are a bright blue which sometimes appear icy gray. He has a square, chiseled jaw that usually has some stubble growing on it. He has an angular nose, but not pointy. His mouth is average sized, with full lips.

Personality:
Tanner is very outgoing and charismatic. He's a good guy, genuinely nice, and will always do whatever he can to help. He's an open book, due to having nothing to hide. He's been openly gay since he was 16, but he is very masculine and not at all flamboyant. However, he does have a sensitive side, which he expresses through his music.

Kota was extremely glad that it was summer... It was like the world was on his side for once. He'd just turned eighteen a month earlier, he'd also just graduated, with honors. And with a good reputation, and all of his friends. He had a part time job, a car, (even if it was old, beat up, and barely running) and the chance to sleep in. It was the first monday after he'd graduated, and for the first time, he didn't have to get up. Which was why he was in a terrible mood. 6 AM came, and there he was, staring at the ceiling, wide eyed and awake, and pissed off. He tried to roll over, to close his eyes, to tie a bandana over his eyes to block out the sunlight. It was no use. He was awake. With an irritated sigh, the teen kicked his blankets off, hauling himself off his full sized mattress. Kota took a second to haphazardly toss his Raiders sheets into some semblance of a 'made bed' before staggering across the hall to the bathroom.

It only took one glimpse in the mirror to tell that he definitely needed a shower. His hair, baby fine and normally limp, was standing in every direction. He'd been hoping to just run a brush through it, and throw on some clothes to go out for a run, but this was beyond anything he had the patience to deal with. Within the minute, he'd stripped off his boxers and climbed into his shower, only to curse loudly when the water came out cold first, before heating up. This was shaping up to be a great morning.....

It was during his ritualistic morning run that Kota remembered. His step brother was coming home that day. Kota didn't really know his brother all that well, really. Their parents had gotten married just a week before the older guy had gotten shipped off to college. It was far enough away that he never really came home for visits or vacations, so he'd only seen him a handful of times really. But now, he'd be home for over a month. The whole summer semester, he was taking off. It would be strange, to say the least. Kota's step mom had been cleaning out his brothers room all week, from the items they'd stored in there for convenience. And it just happened to be right across from his own room, on the upper floor of the house. His parents had the master bedroom on the ground floor, which was more than fine with Kota. But this meant he'd be sharing his bathroom, and his privacy. He wasn't happy about that, really, but he was actually kind of looking forward to actually getting to know the guy that was supposed to be his brother.

Hazel eyes glanced around quickly, before Kota quickly darted across the street, to turn and start running back the other direction. He needed to get back to the house and do some cleaning, most likely, since his step mom refused to go up into his bathroom. Not because it was disgusting, but mainly because Kota liked his privacy. By the time he got back to the house, it was nearly 8, and his hair was still damp from his shower, the water mingling with the sweat from his run. His black tanktop was clinging to his torso, sweaty as well. Being summer, it was starting to get warmer, earlier. Heading inside, Kota, shook his hair out of his face, looking around the living room and listening for a moment. It didn't sound like anyone was home. He knew his dad was at work... His step mom must have gone off to do some grocery shopping.

Finally, summer was here. No classes, no papers, nothing to bring him down. Tanner smiled as he took a step outside and breathed in the warm summer air. He doubled checked that he had packed everything he considered necessary in his Jeep Wrangler. Once he was completely through with the checklist, he went back inside to say his summertime goodbyes. Some of his frat brothers had already left, but most of them stayed behind. He gave each one of them a genuine goodbye and 'I'll miss you,' saving a certain someone for last. As he reached his ex, he ran his fingers through his sandy blond hair and exhaled deeply. He had no idea what to say to the man who he had dated for a year. He settled for a plain goodbye and went back outside, hopping into his Jeep. It was going to be a long drive back home.

Tanner wasn't entirely sure that where he would be spending his summer could be called home. Sure, it was where his family was, but he hardly knew anyone besides his mom. She had married some guy that had a son in high school a week before he left for college. It would be interesting getting to know his step-dad and his step-brother. He really only knew the basics and that had always been good enough for him. Starting up his car, he embarked on the long ride back to his house, eager to get there and see his mom. It was around eight o'clock now; he'd get there around two-thirty.

After driving the hundreds of miles back to the tiny little town he came from, Tanner was relieved to be pulling up in the driveway. He could smell on of his mama's pies cooking and he smiled wide. Opening the door quietly, he went inside and found his way to the kitchen. "Smells good mama," he said nonchalantly as he walked up behind her. "Oh my lord! Tanner you scared me! How was the drive?" Pulling his mom in for a hug, he smiled. He had missed this feeling of family. "It was good, traffic was a pain, but not much to complain about. Where's everyone else?" He looked around the house and it reminded him of one of those magazine ads for furniture. It didn't looked lived in, but that was probably because his mom was a neat freak.

"Well, David's at work, he'll be home soon. And Kota should be around here somewhere. Kota! Can you come down here please?" Tanner waited to see his step-brother. Having only seen him a handful of times since he joined the family, Tanner had no clue what to expect. "Mama, I'm gonna go bring some of my stuff in. I'll be back in a minute." He stepped outside, taking a look around the neighborhood. It wasn't what he was used to, but the thought that maybe he could like it here.

Kota had actually managed to get his bathroom cleaned, spotless. For some reason, as he'd cleaned, he'd started to get really excited to see Tanner. The feeling only served to confuse him though. After a second shower to wash away his morning run, Kota dried his hair and pulled on his clothes for the day, trying to keep it pretty casual. He wasn't dressing to impress anyone. At least, that's what he told himself. He ended up having to wait half the day though, still not entirely happy with how early he'd gotten up. But luckily, his Step-Mom got home not too much later, so he was able to bug her a little bit while he'd made lunch. But after a while she shooed him out of the kitchen so she could make her pie for Tanner, and he ran upstairs to go on his computer for a little while.

It was after 2 when he finally hear Laura call him down from his room. Suddenly, his heart had jumped up into his throat, and he felt incredibly nervous. Shrugging it off, and shaking his bangs out of his eyes, Kota put out a quick message to his friends, and hopped out of his bean bag chair, running down the stairs and into the kitchen, arriving just as Tanner had headed back out to his car. "Yeah Ma?" He asked, resting a hand on the counter and leaning on it a little, as he'd tilted his head sideways to look at her through his hair. Maybe it was time to get a hair cut.... Pushing the thought out of his mind, he watched Laura wander around the kitchen in a tizzy. She was obviously excited. That car door he'd heard earlier must have been in there driveway then. Her behavior confirmed it.

"Tanner's out getting his things from the car. Why don't you go help him?" She suggested. Kota gave out a dramatic sigh, slumping his shoulders like it was the worst thing she could have ever asked him to do, before breaking out into a lopsided grin.

"Sure. Be right back." He said, turning to head to the front door. At the beginning of the marriage, Kota had been a little hesitant, not really wanting him mom to be replaced, but it had been nearly 8 years since she'd died, and he knew his dad loved Laura, so he'd made an effort to get along with her, and it wasn't long before he'd truly accepted her. The woman was a sweetheart, and a true mother. It was hard to resist, after not having had a mother for so long.

Jumping down off the front steps, Kota shoved his hands into his pockets, his shoulders hunched up a little as he squinted against the sun, over at Tanner's Jeep. His own 1962 Plymouth Scamp was parked along the curb in front of the house. One look at his step brother reminded Kota of why he'd always felt a little uncomfortable around the guy. Sure, he was insanely good looking, blond hair, grey-blue eyes.... And tall. They were only a few years apart in age, but Tanner had a good half a foot on the younger man. Grimacing a little, Kota sighed and put on a smile, walking over the rest of the way. He didn't bother to announce himself. Instead, he leaned on the side of the jeep, and gave Tanner a sidelong glance. "Welcome home, Mister Giant." He grumbled, looking away finally. He was pretty sensitive about his meager height, honestly.

Tanner hadn't even seen Kota come outside. He was grabbing a couple bags from his Jeep when he heard the other boy's greeting. "Hey there," he said softly as he set down his bags and straightened up his outfit. He unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt, exposing the top of his well defined chest. "Man, it's hot out here. Let's go inside, we can come get my things later." He followed Kota back inside, carrying the two bags h had pulled from the back of the Jeep.

"So, uh, how was your senior year?" Tanner didn't know what else to talk about. He knew hardly anything about Kota. He didn't even know what kind of music the kid listened too. He looked at his step-brother, seeing some changes in the young man. He was short for his age, but it suited him. His legs were toned, which meant he must have continued with track. Overall, he was more toned than anything. Nothing else had really changed. Kota reminded Tanner of himself as a senior in high school, only shorter. It was just in the past couple of years that he had achieved the body he now had.

He felt awkward just standing there in the hall with his stepbrother. "How about we go upstairs? You can talk and I can unpack. That is, if you want to." Tanner didn't want to make Kota feel uncomfortable around him, so he would understand if he refused the offer. Tanner stood there, looking around the house. His felt out of place, not seeing any pictures of himself anywhere. Granted, he didn't have any pictures to send his mother so it made sense. He waited for Kota to answer and took a deep whiff of the pie his mom was baking.

Kota stared at Tanner Incredulously when he saw the older guy loosen the upper buttons on his shirt, his jaw clenching a bit as the obviously attractive guy exposed more of that muscled chest. That was maddening. But not in the same way that Kota was jealous of the guys height. No, it was more of a tease to him. Clearing his throat, he forced himself to look away, swallowing hard. "Sure man... Whatever." He said, shrugging a bit as he stood up from where he'd leaned against the jeep. Tanner was right. It was pretty hot outside, and he was dressed a little heavily for the summer. But at least the house had air conditioning.

Following Tanner inside, Kota watched the guy quietly. Sure, he'd always admired his older step brother, he was a hot guy, popular, Mr. Jock of the year... But still a nice guy. Stopping behind Tanner in the hall, the younger teen watched Tanner talk with a raised eyebrow, wondering how long he was planning on just standing in the hallway. "It was fine. I graduated MVP on Track, and with Honors in all my classes." Kota reported, surprised that his step-mom hadn't mentioned it over the phone. He didn't really care about it all though.

"I didn't really get to do much other than school, track, and work." He replied, shrugging a bit, though he had a slightly guarded look in his eyes, shifting them to the left.

"...Dated a little bit... Didn't really work out." He added finally, heaving his shoulders up in a shrug. When Tanner suggested going upstairs so he could unpack, Kota just grabbed one of the bags from the guy, hauling it over his shoulder with surprising strength, and heading up the stairs, two at a time. He paused at the top, and glanced down at his brother, with a sudden lopsided grin.

"Well? Are you coming? I don't remember you being slow." He teased a little, before disappearing down the hall to Tanners room, letting himself in, and setting the bag on the ground, before flopping onto the bed, sprawling out on his back.

He didn't care that his pants were too low, and his shirt was too short, making a gap when he stretched out, exposing smooth, fairly tanned skin, taught over his toned abdomen muscles, his navel peeking out just barely.
