Wisp or Human: Wisp power (if you have one): Can manipulate water short bio: Zephyr can't remember much about her past. She doesn't understand what is going on around her, but due to the way she found herself being treated, she learned to avoid other people as much as she could. She has no home and she is afraid of a lot of things. Two words that best describe her current self: Lost and alone. Personality: Zephyr is quiet and shy, but she truly cherishes anyone she could consider a friend. She finds it hard to trust anyone, but once trust is gained, she is loyal. Aislin's worst fear is being alone, which she sadly has been for a long time. Appearance (pictures only): http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...l/2c579dd5.jpg character name: Anathema Wisp or Human: Wisp power (if you have one): Infrared vision ... ? short bio: Anathema helps out with Isaac and Tide in their quest for revenge. In fact, it could be said that she's fanatical in her devotion to the two. (no, this isn't Karin *sp?* or anything...). She was actually raised by humans to be a slave in their household, and wasn't treated very well. They gave her the name Anathema. Personality: Anathema's personality is difficult to describe. She bears a lot of hatred for humans, but she doesn't keep it locked inside one bit. She keeps other emotions locked inside though, and when they show, a person is confused by who she really is. Appearance (pictures only): http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...s/Gaia/137.jpg character name: Isaac Wisp or Human: Wisp power (if you have one): He can change the physical makeup of any item he touches short bio: Isaac despises humans for everything they have done. He has devised a plan to gather a group of Wisps in order to exact a bit of revenge. He has built a hold under one of the great bridges over a river in the city Personality: He's pretty much a jerk most of the time. He's angry inside at a lot of things and has issues seeing past his anger. But he has great sympathy for other wisps, though he's not very good at showing it. ~ Opening Post ~
Selena roamed the streets of the city slowly, aimlessly. She kept her head down, a grey hood covering the features of her face. It was raining out, yet many people were still out and about on the sidewalks, going to and fro between shops, crossing streets, walking in between cars that crept up and down the congested streets. She kept a steady pace, sure and slow, observing her surroundings with hidden eyes. She couldn't help feeling so different from everyone- alone, for she knew of no others like her in the area. Every day, she would hope that someone- just one wisp- would appear, and that would cure her sadness, she knew. Looking at all of the people rushing about, she couldn't help but smile a little. This is what she would fight for, these people are who she would protect. She decided that a long time ago, yet with no one to share that choice with her and to take a part in it, she let it sink slowly into the back of her mind, where it would only drift, but not take root to the point of driving her to take action. Selena was suddenly bumped into by a rather large man chasing after his kid, and she stepped a foot into the road. She tried to regain her balance, but before she could get out of the way, a car drove by and splashed the muddy oily water that had been pooling on the streets all over her. She didn't know exactly how to react, so for the time being, she kept walking, down the street, ignoring people's stares at the sopping wet, dirty girl that roamed the city among them. |
Zephyr was sitting by a bridge in the small city park. She was fiddling with a flower she'd picked up from the ground and was staring at the water. It was mesmerizing to her for some unknown reason.
At that particular point in her life, she wanted it to just swallow her whole. What was the point in living life hated and alone? She didn't understand. Then again, she didn't understand much of anything, anyway, because her memories of her past were filled with voids. The only thing she knew for certain was that her name was Zephyr, and because she couldn't remember much of anything else, she began to wonder if even that was true. ((BTW, were you ever able find Zander's profile? If not, I'll think really hard about it and try to remember... D: I remember he was searching really hard to find his sister and I didn't give him a really specific power... Soo, if we can't find his profile, I'm re-thinking him being a Wisp and I might make him be a human who is searching for his former Wisp partner who he loved as a sister or a great friend. Of course, he only has vague memories of her, but a great sorrow drives him to try and find her - if you think that sounds okay??)) |
((I looked for it, couldn't find it!!! D: I found one PM pertaining to Zander, but nothing else! I have no idea what happened! I'm sorry...))
The night was getting chilly- something Selena was used to, but the rain made it feel a lot colder. Shivering, she tried to go into a small bakery to get warm, but she was soon driven out by the storekeepers, afraid that a homeless person would drive their customers away. She tried another store, only to encounter the same situation. She looked down at her stained jacket. No doubt her clothes looked like she had grabbed them from the nearest dumpster. This didn't mean they were filthy, rather, they were torn and tattered in such a way that gave the overall appearance of a grade-A bum. Sighing, she thought a moment of what to do, when she saw the gates of the city park loom before her. A shower. She was sure the facilities had showers in them- grimy ones, but showers nonetheless. Suddenly she felt herself aching to feel the soothing hot water running down her back, and to temporarily berid herself of her worn out clothes. With renewed vigor, Selena began walking toward the gates. |
- Isaac -
Isaac pulled up his hood as he began his trek through the city streets. He ordinarily would have left it down, even in the rain, but he decided it was best to keep quiet about being a wisp for the time being. He snarled as he pushed past the clusters of people. People he hated. Humans. Isaac made himself sick of his thoughts of how he ached for revenge. Anger was welling inside him. Now is not the time, he thought to himself. The plan has been working well until now. I need to keep cool. But his patience was growing as thin as his self-control. Escaping his chances to screw things up, he found himself looking for a secluded place; somewhere humans weren't. - Zephyr - "It's cold," Zephyr said to herself. Silly, she knew, but there was no one else to talk to. And even if there were, could she trust them? She bit her lip in fear of ever coming across anyone. She really was afraid of so much at that point. Her thoughts went quickly from one thing to another until she began convincing herself that if she never gave her trust to anyone, she would always be alone. Zephyr didn't want that. That was what she wanted to be furthest from. How could she find someone to trust, though? Was there anyone in the world who would not hate her? How could she find out? Questions filled her mind. In hopes of shaking the thoughts away, she suddenly stood from her spot. She had the urge to leave the place altogether, but that would mean she would go into a world filled with people. Looking at her tattered dress, she thought that perhaps people wouldn't hate her so much if she dressed more like everyone else. Zephyr then wondered why that mattered. |
Through the rain, Selena could barely make out the bathroom facilities- they were just over the bridge. She walked briskly through the night, her boots tromping the sopping wet ground. Then she paused.
She thought she could see a figure sitting next to the bridge. What were they doing at the park at this hour? And in this weather? Selena decided to be cautious. Approaching slowly, she headed toward the bridge, trying to stay out of the person's line of sight. She made it about 7 feet away, when suddenly, to her surprise, the figure stood up! Selena froze. 'Oh no... this was a bad idea...' Thoughts began racing through her mind. 'This person's been waiting for me... they're probably a kidnapper or a rapist or something... I've got to get away, but they're probably faster and stronger...' Attempting to still her panicked mind, she forced herself to calm down, and stood firmly before the unknown figure, their identity masked by the rain. She took a deep breath and stared them in where she perceived their face to be. 'Look, I don't want to cause any trouble... please, don't hurt me...' Despite to keep her nerves together, her voice trembled and she swallowed hard. |
"W-what?" Zephyr was taken by surprise. Who in the world was that? What had they meant? "Are... you talking to me?" She asked, shyly, and a bit afraid. She looked around and saw no one else but the figure standing close by. "I wouldn't hurt anyone!"
But she, herself, was afraid. She began to back away. Someone had started speaking to her. It must have been another person who hated her; another person who was afraid of her. Then she began to think about herself for a moment. She was frozen in her tracks. What really did make her any different from other people? Should she ask this person? Would that do her any good at all? Shut up! She said to her mind. She was losing track of where she was and what was going on. "Ah... ah.. achoo!" Her thoughts seemed to disappear with her sneeze. She remembered the freezing rain and the person who had called out to her. |
A girl? Selena was startled that the voice belonged to a female, much less someone her age, from what she could tell. Though this girl was potential danger as well, Selena knew she wouldn't have to worry about not being able to fight, since they were most likely about matched in strength. She took a small tentative step forward, only to halt at the girl's next words. Immediately she regretted her inquiry. "I'm sorry", she called out. "I... couldn't see you very clearly..."
She didn't want to be viewed as one who assumed things right off the bat, though that was exactly what she had done. Her expression softened as the stranger backed away, and she held up a hand in a gesture that she needn't be scared. "It's okay", she said. I'm not going to hurt you. I just thought" She was interrupted by her sneeze. "She's going to catch her death of cold out here..." Selena thought to herself. She began to approach her, making her steps obvious in case she would startle her by coming over to her. "What are you doing in a place like this so late?" Then she found herself wanting to take her words back. What if she was homeless too? She didn't want to put her in an uncomfortable situation. Selena wasn't much ashamed of not having a real place to stay, since she had chosen to live that way. But as for others, she couldn't speak for them. |
- Zephyr -
Zephyr squatted down and hugged her knees after hearing the girl's question. She thought about it, but nothing made any sense. It was almost as if she'd never understood anything about her situation. "I don't know why I'm here," she said. "I just wandered here today, hoping I might find out something, I guess." She paused. "I really don't know anything. I don't know where I came from and I don't know why people usually ignore or hate me..." Zephyr sighed, but then she smiled up at the girl. "But you're different from the others! Normally, no one pays me any mind." She waved her hand as if all the bad stuff was meaningless and she wanted to clear it away from her. - Isaac - Isaac had a feeling as he watched the two girls exchanging words near the bridge. He had come to the park, figuring in this type of weather, no sane person would be around. But he had a feeling that those girls weren't humans. Somehow, he just knew. And so he watched, wanting to hear what they were saying. A mischievous grin spread across his face. If indeed they were wisps, he might be able to recruit them for his cause. Of course, that was unlikely. There were much fewer girls who wanted revenge on humanity than guys. But he thought he should give it a shot, anyway. He began to wait for the right moment, though, he knew, since he was watching them so shamelessly, that their most-likely suspicious minds would find him out eventually. |
