Jake started to go red again "really? wow... what powers do you have?"

Dr. Tik is silent for awhile.

Jake moved a bit closer "i didn't affend you did i?" he asked as his eyes were full of concern

"Not at all"

Jake nodded and then hugged her "tell me if i do"

She nods letting out a content sigh as she leans against him.

Jake stayed cuddling her for a while before he saw some raw meat left on the side "who's is that" he said poining it out

"I'm not sure." She says.

Jake licked his lips but then looked away from it "anyway... what should we do now?"

"It's mine but if you are hungry you can have it." A small boy steps out of the shadows.
"Hello Marcus." Dr. Tik says with a smile.
"Hey Dr. Tik." The boys skin is covered in iridescent black scales. He is bald and his eyes are golden.

Jake jumped a bit and looked at the child "no, no, i can't take it from you" he said as he scanned him, he couldn't tell what he was

"It's alright. I can get another." Marcus says.

Jake chuckled "what speices are you?" he asked looking in his eyes

"I'm a shadow walker." Marcus says proudly.

Jake looked confused "i have never heard of one of them before"

"I can enter the shadows and move through them." Marcus says. "I can take others with me too."

Jake nodded "ahhhh... that a really handy power for you" he commented with a smile

"Yep." He grins. "So if you're still hungry you can have this steak." He says.

Jake looked at it and shook his head "i can't take it, and i wont"

Marcus disappears and soon returns with another steak. "here you go." Marcus grins.

Jake looked at him with a smile "wow, where did you get that from?"

"I didn't steal it I always leave money." He says setting it on the counter.

Jake nodded "thats good then" he chuckled as he ruffled marcus's head

Marcus giggles. He starts eating his steak. "Eat." He says.
Dr. Tik has been watching this scene silently. She is glad that Marcus has seemed to taken to Jake. She had been worried aboutthe boy.

Jake shook his head "im not hungry yet, i will later, plus i want to spend a little time with Dr.Tik" he chuckled and looked at Dr.Tik "if its ok with you?"
