Hikako gulped in fear at how his brother sounded as he clentched down onto his fists tightly. "Wh..what do you want..Daigo?!.." he yelled demanding his brother tell him what he was really doing at this spot. If their mother really was sick and he really was worrying about her that much, Daigo would be there right now; and since he wasnt, Hikako knew something bad was going to happen.

"Hikako...why...why did you do it?" he asked with little less anger in his voice this time. "Why did you leave me and mother to get this girl pregnant?! Dont you love us?!" he yelled. "Shes not even fam--"

"Shut up!!" Hikako cut off his brother from saying anymore as he was getting angry himself. "You...you and mother...you two are expecting me to love you both...but you two never have ever shown me love...or compassion...so why should I show it to you?!" He asked again, as he turned to the side and looked at Evan with sadness then back at his brother with anger. "But Evan!! Sh...she actually cares for me!!...and I....I love her!! is it so wrong that I love someone other than my family!?"

Daigo eyes widened in shock as he heard his bother yell at him, this was first time he had seen how Hikako had gotten so angry at him. "You love her?..." he asked with a little shock in his voice. "how can you love her? You just met her"

Hikako didnt really listen to his brother as he just looked back at Evan with a soft smile as he kept his eyes on hers. "true..I may have just met her...but...still she actually cares for me; and besides, I've gotten her pregnant..so I'm not about to leave her side and let her take care of our child alone, I'm going to stay with her forever..please Daigo as my brother...just be happy for me and step aside."

Daigo contiued to look at both Evan and Hikako without moving a single inch, he was still in shock about what his own brother would say to him. That he would love her rather then his own real family. "Remember Hikako, your flesh and blood is the same as mine. You may leave me and mother..but no matter what..your always going to be just like us." he said walking pass both of them not bothering to attack, knowing if he did this would turn out to be really bad for the hospital and all the innocent people around.

Hikako didnt say anything this time as he lowered his head and kept one hand holding onto Evan's hand. He just began to walk out of the hospital keeping his grip onto her hand, he hated hearing the truth, espeically if it was from his own brother; but anyway, even if it were the truth that he'd still be family to those other two, he didnt consider them family, all he thought of family at this point was him, Evan and their baby.

When Hikako and Evan got home, he looked at how she went up to her room immediatly; his eyes widened in shock seeing how she didnt say anything at all to him and just rushed upstairs. He lowered his head and clentched down onto his own fists in anger how and why his brother would treat him this way. Was it so wrong to love someone else but ones true own family?
Suddenly after thinking about it for a few minutes, Hikako just shook his head and walked upstairs to Evan's room as he opened it slowly; leaning his head in just as slowly. "Evan?....you okay?" he asked with a quiet whispering tone.

Hearing Evan's voice, Hikako walked into the room completely as his eyes widened up in shock. He quickly made his way to the bed and sat down next to her looking at her basically curl up into a ball. "Evan..." he said as he slowly slipped his hand between her knees and her chin as he lifted up her head and frowned deeply. "Theres no need to apologize Evan...I dont care if we met my brother or not...I wanted to be there with you to know the truth...if you were pregnant or not." he said as he raised up one of his hands and wiped away her tears. "It doesnt matter if they hate us...or our baby...they mean nothing to me.." he said as he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her closer to his own body.

Hikako nodded confidently when he heard Evan's question as he kept his arms around her body the whole time. "Yeah..I'm sure, besides they dont ever seem to care about me anyway..so why should I care about them?" he asked as he began to look into her eyes carefully. "Yeah, we should get the stuff ready..b..but we still have plenty of time..." he said trying to get a smile back onto his face.

Hikako noticed how Evan was starting to smile now as the forceful smile he was giving off started to loosen up and it turned into an easier one as he really did smile because he wanted to. "Anything would be good. Umm...how about some ramen?" he asked with a little laugh as he scratched the back of his head. At this point, he was able to see how she had one hand onto her stomach which caused him to smile softly, he slowly placed his hand on top of hers gently and looked into her eyes. While he was keeping his hand on top of hers, he began to suddenly think about something as he wondered if Evan were to have a child and he was going to be the father; did this mean, they were basically now a married couple? Just thinking about this, his face quickly turned brightly red as he lowered his head down to hide his blush from her and looked at her stomach.

"Hmmm...how about beef?" Hikako asked still keeping his face away from too much of Evan's gaze since he was still blushing. When he heard about buying a crib for their baby, he shrugged his shoulder and looked up at the ceiling for a moment trying his best not to look at her and show that he really was blushing. "Umm...n..next week sounds good..since well..y..you did basically just get pregnant." he said nervously still, even though they were both half-demons, Hikako wasnt really sure if that would change anything for the baby, wondering if it would be born the same way; a half demon. And on the side of that, he wasnt sure being a half-demon would mean the time period of how long a human would have to wait increases or not. Since the normal wait would usually be about 9months.
Suddenly when Hikako found out that Evan knew he was blushing, his eyes widened as he looked back at her quickly because of how shocked he was. He quickly took both his hands and covered his face trying to hide it even more, but of course that didnt work out too well. "Hu..huh?...oh..uhm...uh..i..its nothing."

Hikako smiled softly as he looked slightly down at Evan cuddling against him. He straightened his back against the wall behind and stayed sitting on the bed, he didnt really care if she didnt make dinner since he could tell if she had fallen asleep so quickly, no doubt about it that she really was tired from the day going by. He just smiled and began to stroke her hair with one hand slowly. I'll make sure...no one will ever hurt either of them... he thought as he meant the baby and Evan, he'd do whatever he could to protect those two; even if it costs him his own life.

As Hikako felt how the room seemed to get a bit colder, he reached over and grabbed the large blanket at the end of the bed and covered up Evan up to her shoulders only. He smiled the whole time he looked at how she was sleeping so peacefully. After a couple of minutes passing he began to get just as tired as he slowy fell asleep on the bed with Evan. In his own dreams he saw how they were getting married and they were at the wedding.

While Hikako was asleep the whole time, he didnt notice that Evan was basically twisting and turning on the bed as he didnt notice really anything that was going on. Even after the hours had went by he was still dead asleep as he contiued to sleep through the whole night, even when Evan began to wake, he kept sleeping with a soft smile on his face.

After a couple of hours had passed and the sun had finally risen once more, Hikako groaned a little as he slowly began to reopen his eyes. "Hmm?...morning already?." he asked as he felt someone's head on his chest; he wasnt really that surprised at first since he already had a feeling that he knew it was Evan. When he looked down and saw her sleeping; he just contiued to smile as he slowly slipped out of bed, gently laying her head down onto the pillow and heading downstairs to make breakfeast for the both of them. He wasnt so much as a master cook like Evan was; but living in his old home with his mother and brother for so long, he was able to learn from his mother to make some simple food. He grabbed a pan and a couple pieces of toast as he just placed them in it; turning on the burning and waiting for the toast to slowly get a golden brownish color. When he saw how it changed to that color, he quickly began to pour some honey on top of it hoping it would turn out good. He had already made french toast a couple of times already but this was actually the first time he had done it for someone else but himself.
