The room had filled with a warm mist, extending swiftly from the burning symbols and rings of red light that had etched themselves into the air black discs, reflecting no light, filled the space between the circles of runes as an unnatural force began to make itself known, the dark energy of a demon flooding the room, black lightning arcing through the air, running along the ground and making broken pathways in the floor, scorching the earth in its wake.

With a heavy flutter, the sound of cloth upon the wind, something appeared within the runes and black holes, almost as if landing, for their very appearance made the ground below their feet cave slightly, an impact crater, not marking the weight of the creature but the power being produced by this ritual of summoning.
It was complete. The black discs vanished, the runes in the air burning up and fading, leaving a smokey void around the demon. The ambiguous body made it difficult to determine what they were at first, but as the smoke cleared her face became more apparent.

She stood there, quite proudly in fact, if only to quickly make an unnerved face, looking around at her surroundings. She disregarded the nearby summoner, simply examining the place before yelling out,
"What the hell?!" The demoness cried out, looking around again, "What kind of idiocy is this? Why am I here?!" She asked again, looking around again before settling on the nearby person, seeming to sniff in her direction, "You! Mortal child! You smell just like that man.. Maybe a bit sweeter and maybe a bit younger.. Where is he? He abandoned me twenty years ago, now he summons me to this dingy little human place, who does he think he is?!" She complained, folding her arms and staring judgingly at them,
"Well?? Answer me!" the demoness commanded, evidently just more irate than when she first appeared.

Isabella Lacroix had never really been a people person, she'd always shyed away from social gatherings and rarely spoke to anyone outside her family. Though this had become somewhat of a Lacroix family trait. Over the years they'd become engrossed with their demon partners that they'd completely pushed the human world from their lives. Well almost completely. Every now and then they'd be called upon by Government officials or headhunted by wealthy business men and women, usually to perform tasks your average, everyday human could not.

Each member of the family specialised in different area's, Bella for example, was able to locate a missing person with ease or track down a wanted man just as easily. Of course she had á lot of help from her demon partner, Sioux. The demon appeared to be a mixture of various different animans that had been warped and twisted to form one being. Its skin was a leathery black and not very pleasant to look at and all of its bones were visiable, its skin clung tightly, making them more prominent. But the girl would not have changed him for the world, afterall, she'd been summoning him since she was five years old. Most little girls played with dolls and soft toys.. Bella had Sioux, a creature from nightmares.

Tonight, however, something went horribly wrong during her summoning. Having done this so many times before she paid little attention to what she was doing as it came so naturally to her now. But had she paid more attention she'd have noticed the symbols were not correct. This was bad.. even though it was only a small mistake, the result was a much larger mistake.

Standing back, quietly observing the being she'd summoned, she listened to the words it spoke. Atleast they were both able to speak the same language and from what she could make out, she'd had dealings with a man in her family. Twenty years ago? That was around the time her father, Echo, died.. did this demoness belong to him?

"I am the one that summoned you, though not intentionally. I seem to have made a minute error in the runes. " The purple haired summoner answered the demoness commanding words. "Who is 'he'?"

The demoness homed in on the summoner, getting close and sniffed at her, staring at her curiously,
"Yes.. He, that man, that wretched wretched human who bound me to his filthy human family and-" she sniffed again at her, the apparent anger disappearing for a moment, "-you smell kind of good-UGH I mean that Echo Lacroix! Damn him! No doubt he's the silly human who helped sire into the world your own meager existence! Twenty damnable years I was locked in that accursed tomb and I can still smell him, he's all over you!" She stopped for a moment, frowning, a realization overcoming her for a moment as she glared at Bella,
"Wait... No.. NO! You couldn't possibly summon me, I'm bound to his pact, his law, his command alone! You don't just stumble across the locks to my prison by accident! You're lying! I'd expect such of demons but humans are far too-weak-too-small-too-PETTY!" She reached up with her right hand as though to grasp at the woman, only to recoil an instant after when her hand seemed to shrivel and shatter into a black dust, causing her to fall back with a yelp, the distance being just enough for the hand to grow back, a black skeletal structure, almost like obsidian, taking its place at first before black tendrils wrapped around the bone forearm and fingers, the glove then growing over it as well.
It was not unknown for the summoned demons to attack those who had brought them forth from hell, nor was it uncommon for this to have repercussions. The act of hostility was stopped at the point of impact, torn apart by the very magics binding them to the mortal realm for the time that they were there. Most would learn soon after; doing so was foolish, pointless. They could never harm their master or those placed under the summoners protection.
Perhaps the most unique thing about this demoness, however, was that her hand regenerated so quickly, most often the summoner had to help in the healing process unless it was a natural capacity of the demon to regenerate, sacrificing their own energy to reconstruct the lost parts of their body.

The demoness stared accusingly at Bella, her face quite contorted with rage, this was unthinkable, she knew it was true but all the same, she hated the reality of it, this young woman really did summon her. The blond-haired woman folded her arms, her face becoming more stone-like as she scrutinized the other woman again before looking away to the side with an almost childish huff,
"I demand to be sent back! That prison your sire constructed is better than this human wor-" She stopped again, the strange sulk being cut short as she looked at Bella again, "Are you wearing rose oil..? Or is that chamomile..?" She asked for a moment, sniffing the air in her direction before looking around again, "Where IS that coming from..?" she asked again, seemingly lost in this fragrance she was sensing, "Does he still grow.. Those flowers..?"

This demon was a very peculiar one, though given she'd been locked away for twenty years, her behaviour was understandable. "Hm." So her assumptions had been correct, this demoness had been bound to her father. It was strange though, did she not sense her human master had died? Or had she no assumptions after being left for so long? Obviously not. For the moment, Bella remained quiet, allowing the demoness to vent the anger she held towards both her father and the rest of human kind. The anger was also physical, though thankfully she was protected and not the one gaining injury. The hand though.. it wasn't a pretty sight and sounded like it had hurt. However, there was little time wasted in the injury healing itself.

"You can smell him on me because I am his flesh and blood. I am Isabella Lacroix, Echo was my father." It wasn't completely unheard of for children to be able to summon their parents demons, especially after they'd died. Usually it was only to inform the demons of the death and release them, but she'd assumed someone had already done that with this one. Though it seemed not. "You've no need to return to that 'prison' my father constructed, my family always keep to its words and as such.. your free. My father died twenty years ago, alongside my brother. They were out on a job and.. there was a betrayal from within the company that had hired them. They walked straight into a trap." Bella's voice lost volume as she continued to speak, obviously the wounds were still sore.

"Hm?" However she soon perked up. "Its home made rose oil. I picked the roses myself." The demoness seemed interested in the fragrance, Bella managed a small smile. "I grow the roses now. Would you like to see them?" Tending to the roses helped to keep Echo's memory alive and was also very relaxing. Perfect way to unwind after a long day.

"Yes I figured that, it was obvious, Echo's breeding is riddled in you." She replied with an odd look of disgust, quickly changing mood, she was as chaotic in personality as a brightly colored object that would simply dart into a room and vanish as quickly, however the fluctuations seemed to break often into her calmer self as she stared at the girl for a while,
"He's dead..? No.. No-no-nonono! You don't get it! I'm never free, I'm bound, it was a pact, I was his, I was promised! My master.. Dead..? I expected him to die in some pitiable way. but without fulfilling his promise?" She held a hand to her head almost as if suffering from pain, turning away quickly from the girl,
"Twenty years.. Twenty years in that.. That prison! I learned my lesson! I was ready to obey! I wanted to serve him!" her rage on the mater seemed to be building, the black lighting from before beginning to rake across the ground again, however it was accompanied by a yellow glow of light this time, however it was short lived.

She looked over her shoulder at Bella again, so she took care of those roses for her father, quaint, but uninteresting, what mattered were the flowers as she turned around again, dropping her hands and looking at Bella a little closer, the offer of seeing the roses was tempting, she walked closer to Bella, leaning in, quite close to stare at her eyes, though hovered around her slowly to her right side before leaning in a little closer,
"Show me.. I would so like to see them again.." She replied in a much calmer manner, sniffing a little closer to Isabella, "Roses.. You have good taste, spawn of Echo.."

It had taken twenty years for her to finally want to obey Echo and serve him? Talk about stubborn.. "Yes, you were. But as with all pacts, once the human has died the demon is freed, unless they are bound to another human shortly after." And this was hardly 'shortly' after, was it? Twenty years was a very long time. "He died doing what he was born and raised to do, I can see no better way to die." Falling silent, she continued to observe this demoness' behaviour. It seemed to constantly change and vary, but as of yet all she'd seen was anger and frustration.

"Very well." Seeing she was considerably calmer than before, and enjoyed the smell of roses she'd rubbed into her skirt earlier that morning (not purposly, there just hadn't been a towel around at the time). Saying nothing else, Bella slowly walked from the basement and came up underneath the stairs. Pushing the old, creaking door open, she stepped out into the large entrance room within the house. Old wooden flooring covered with the occasional rug or mat. Turning, the female led the demon through the large set of doors leading outside. The house may have been large, but the grounds surrounding it were much bigger. It was such a pleasant day too.. Remembering why she'd come out here, Bella walked along the cobblestone path leading to the right side of the garden. It was on this side of the garden that the rose bushes grew. An old green house in which the roses used to be bred, though it fell into disuse now. All around the green house were rows of roses, each varying to the previous.

The demon woman followed Bella closely, still sniffing occasionally, close to the woman, taking in the scent of that beautiful rose oil, it was the one things she remembered so distinctly about the human world as something she considered worth preserving. The scent was almost intoxicating, but she withdrew whens he felt se was too close, following the young woman out into the sunlight where she stopped for a moment, staring up at the sky. She let out something of a gasped laugh, almost mixed in with a sob,
"I never took the time to notice.. The mortal sky, the light.." The demoness quickly followed after Bella again to the location of the garden where the roses were being grown.

Upon approaching the very edge she fell to her knees, purposefully, reaching her hands among the petals and the soft colors, taking in the smell. It was somewhat hard to tell, again, what emotion the demoness was showing as she chuckled at first, caressing the flowers, but the longer she did so. the sooner she started breaking into tears, finally placing her hands down on the ground itself, hunched over them and sobbing for a moment.
She continued to cry, atleast for a little while but raised a hand, brushing away the tears quickly, leaning back slowly and looking upward again, staring at a distant cloud,
"Master.. Would send me back into the prison every single time with a rose.. First I detested it.. But I came to hate the prison more. The rose was my only remind of the human world.. The smell, the feel.. But they'd always wither.. Twenty years and my last rose died so long ago.." The demoness explained, falling onto her back and chuckling again,
"This is all I could think about in all that time.."

She looked up at Bella for a moment, seeming to be frozen to the spot as she realized what she was doing, however she immediately scrambled to get to her feet, clearing her throat ass he dusted herself off,
"Forgive me, I've been without company for so long my mannerisms have become a little lax.. You said you are Isabella, yes..?" She began, "My real name isn't something you can say, not in the human tongue.. Your father called me Isenth Kurun," the demoness introduced herself, bowing her head then but looked up,
"You said I am free.. But.. I don't know what to do.. Without Echo I'm just another demon, I cannot return to hell because he cursed me to always return to that prison.. I can't live in the mortal realm or I'd simply be a rogue demon.."

Amongst all brightly colored roses sat a single bush with a single green rose in bloom. This was her favourite and she'd planted it herself as a child. Each year it would bloom a single rose and towards the end of season, it would be turned into oil and locked away, ready for the day it would be needed. Keeping a foot or so distance between herself and the demoness, Bella watched her interact with the roses and found herself smiling faintly.

"You are more than welcome to pick a couple to take with you, if you wish. Or if you want something that lasts a little longer, we've plenty of oil." Folding her arms loosely across her chest, the purple haired female glanced across the grounds and back to the building. There were no signs of anyone else around, which wasn't all too suprising lately, everyone seemed to prefer locking themselves away or busying themselves with work. They weren't really much of a family, not anymore, a unit was what they were classed as in Government files. Or a force to be reckoned with, depending on circumstances.

"I see. Well its an honor to meet you, Isenth Kurun." Lowering her arms to her side, the female turned her full attention back to the demoness. "Its to be expected, twenty years in isolation will do that to you." If Isenth was cursed to return to that prison.. "Would you like me to research your prison? Perhaps I can make it more homely for you if you are bound to it."

"No, no no I don't want to go back there.. It's too dark, too quiet, lifeless, just a prison, a keep net a place to tore your possession till you next need it, your father constructed it to contain me, stop me.." She tried to explain, turning away and making a few sharp steps, "Even he summoned me by accident, but he knew what I was capable of.. Only way he could keep control of me was by imprisoning me, keeping me collared like a damned pet, an animal..! Making sure no-one discovered me and tried to misuse my power.. YOU-" She turned aroudn sharply, pointing at Bella before walking toward her sharply. but this time even managed to touch her. Isenth wasn't trying to hurt her, so there was no damage to her own body.
Her fingers brushed up along the young woman's cheek,
"No you.. I want to stay right here, I'm not bound to Echo's bloodline, but I have no other purpose left.." She used her thumb to grip the other side of Bella's jaw, but not hard as she got in a little closer, sniffing at the Bella's neck,
"If I cant serve and protect him anymore I guess all I have left is protect what he would have found quite precious. He wont get out of it that easily.."

She let go of Bella softly, starting at her intently, a wry smile upon her face,
"I'd be a fool to pass up this chance... I spent twenty long years thinking, cursing, crying, singing and dreaming.. And right now.. I'm hungry.." Isenth tilted her head, looking at Bella again, "And curious.. About you.. Had he lived I might even have had to protect you, interact with you.. I've missed out on a lot, my little rose maiden, I want to know whats happened. Is your uncle still the blind fool he always was? That man always feared me.. What about the rest of your family?" The questions were coming quickly but then she stopped, turning her head to the side slightly, "Who is this company that betrayed Echo..?"

Isenth stopped again, closing her eyes and breathing in before looked back at Bella again,
"Never mind all that, I think hungry comes first.. But I still want to know if you would accept me as a guardian.."

Bella remained quiet as usual, as was her way. To stand back, quietly observe and assess situations before coming to a decision. This demon had been locked away for twenty years and had missed out on so much. She couldn't even begin to think what it would be like to be locked away and isolated for so long. Once again, Isneth began to speak and Bella found herself listening intently to her words. Standing still, she allowed the demoness's fingers to touch her cheek and jaw, she saw no threat behind these actions. And the sniff.. well, her own demon spent most of his time sniffing just about everything, so she saw nothing strange in this. The chosen words.. touched her. All she had left to protect was the one thing her father thought precious.

"Your hungry? What do you eat?" Bella inquired curiously, her hands now resting on her hips. Demons diets seemed to vary, though the most common food they ate seemed to be meat. And lots of it. Rose maiden? That too brought a brief smile to the females lips, no one had given her a nickname in years. Atleast, not one she liked.

"I will accept you. My father seemed to be quite fond of you, he wrote of you in his journals all the time. And to be perfectly honest.. it will be nice to have some pleasant company. Relationships within the manor have become strained as of late. My fathers death left us without a leader and over the years we've all.. lost our way, I suppose." Turning on her heel, Bella took two small steps towards the building. "Yes, my uncle is still a fool. Though he's now the self elected head of the family. The company didn't betray my father.." Bella shook her head and offered Isneth a smile. "But thats a story for another day. Your my guardian now, we'll have plenty of time to talk of the past."

"I eat whats edible, humans, animals, vegetation, what I absorb is their essence, fills me with lost energy.. My kind don't starve like a human or some demons, when we don't have food in our bellies we sustain ourselves with the energy we have attained and absorbed, but it doesn't mean we don't get hungry.. Insatiability, the demons curse," She smirked when she spoke of it in that manner, as a demon part of her was proud to be insatiable.. Though she didn't show much of it beyond that, resting her hand upon her hip where the two blade handles could be seen,
"Self-elected head of the family.. I'm unsurprised.." Isenth rolled her eyes, "That fool was looking for any chance to be top dog he did so hate it that your father was the only one who could summon and command me at all.. a test of superiority became an education when he challenged your father. I tore his own demon to shreds, pathetic, weak, insignificant thing, all muscle and bone and brawn, physical superiority, it is not the true method, the true secret to a demons power." A small chuckle escaped the demoness as she remembered that moment quite fondly, all its strength counted for nothing, it couldn't keep up with Isenth, it couldn't defend itself against her powers, "Oh I did enjoy the look on his face, even when he tried to use it as a trap to gain control over me, I would have crushed his throat too if your father hadn't been so lenient.. As much as I hate humans and your father included, I hate that man more."

She followed after Bella, though looked back at the rose garden, returning to it to break a rose by its stem, not caring for the thorns as she brought it up to her nose, sniffing it softly as she followed after Bella,
"I would fail as a demon now.. Simple pleasures aren't our way.. But it matters not, now." She chuckled, however turned her gaze to Bella with an almost disappointed stare, "Lost your way.. A convenient excuse.. One I've heard so often." She got close to Bella again, grasping her by the shoulder and looking at her more directly,
"A man like your father should die and leave example, he dies you take his lessons and carry on, his essence should be your essence. Echo's memory feels insulted in my mind.."

The demoness leaned her arm on the others shoulder with a smirk,
"Do you honestly consider me pleasant company? Your father locked me up because as much as he admired my power he feared it all the same.. He might even be turning in his grave that I'm touching you.." She leaned in closer to sniff the rose oil again, an odd low growl escaping her, "He can blame himself for letting you play with the roses.. Or was he counting on this..? He was devious.. Far too smart to be felled by any simple trap.. I wonder how your family will react seeing me again..? Certainly not with warm cheer and hugs.. I don't know if there was anyone I didn't insult in the old days.." she snickered then, "Maybe your uncle will try to claim me again.."

Since she didn't seem to be picky with the food she ate, Bella decided to let her have a rummage through the kitchen and pick out her own food. Atleast that way, if she didn't like it, she'd have no one to blame but herself. "You are not alone with that view, my uncle isn't liked at all amongst my family. Even before the rumour started about him he was hated. His poor wife committed suicide just to get away from him." Though the family were unusual and 'gifted', they were still like every other family out there. They still had problems and feuds amongst their own. It was just.. their feuds were usually fought out by their demons rather than their fists.

"To be honest, when my father died I was still too young to fully understand what was going on around me." Bella had been no older than five the day her father was taken from her. Usually it was around that age training began, generally by a parent or grandparent in her case. "I knew my father was the head of the family, chosen by my grandfather. My uncle didn't like this and did everything in his power to make life hell for everyone." Glancing upto Isenth, she gave her a brief smile. "I don't think so, not really. I've remembered and practice everything he'd taught me as a child, it is not I who have lost my way. Its everyone else."

Stopping in the kitchen, Bella looked to the demon once more, this time as she was touched again. "I do. Your the first being thats not glared at me nor told me to be quiet whenever I mention my fathers name. And your the first I've had a proper conversation with in weeks now." Pulling herself up onto a nearby vacant counter, she tilted her head, watching the demoness. "I speak to my first demon, but he's incapable of speaking in human or demon tongue, so our conversations don't last long." Bella then motioned to the fridge and then to the cupboards. "Help yourself to whatever you want to eat, we've plenty in stock."

A moment passed before she spoke again. "My uncle is not here at the minute. Last I heard he was travelling to some remote island after hearing a rumour about a demon that lived there."

"Yes yes, its a general thing, even if its not you personally. Your family needs to be reminded of the man, whether they like it or not." The demoness looked at the cupboards but then to the fridge, tilting her head a little ass he approached it, "What on earth is this contraption..? Are your cupboards armored now? I know hat food is important for nourishment but isn't this is a bit much..?" She asked, pulling it open only to feel the rush of cool air and stepping back sharply for a moment. It was an almost feral instinct she followed as she converged on it slowly again and looked inside, "Cold..? I remember the idea of employing cold storage to keep things fresh, however this is certainly unusual.."

She looked amongst the foods being stored, though returned to the cupboards, closing the fridge behind her as she rifled through what foods were there and what weren't, picking certain things out and sniffing them, recoiling at the scent of others. Isenth seemed to rely on that animalistic smell and external instincts, however stopped when she held up a spice, a hot powder of sorts. She picked out a pinch of the powder, sucking it off her thumb and forefinger before raising her brow, a normal human would have been coughing and cursing by that point,
"Odd.." She shrugged, covering the powder and putting it away, "I haven't had a heated meal for twenty years.. I remember last sitting at the dinner table with your father, suckling pig meat ripe off the bone, herb-covered hot potatoes and butter, and a mixed salad of fruit and vegetable alike. And wine, dear powers that be, wine!" She sniffed around the kitchen, eventually opening a lower cupboard with an odd sound escaped Isenth, marking her success. They were cheaper wines perhaps but it didn't matter to her personally though, she could eat or drink anything.

Isenth pulled out a full bottle uncorking it and downing at least a third with ease, giving a sigh of relief,
"Aaaah.. Well I find myself wrong on the matter of there being no-one I didn't insult, for that night your cook found herself extremely complimented," The demoness made a low growl, smirking to herself, "As for me.. That was certainly a satisfying night.." She chuckled again, reaching into a breadbox to grab a loaf however also managed to find herself a couple of apples, "Though she's probably older and forgotten all about me.." She stopped a while, staring at what she'd accumulated, "I'll always outlive humans and mortals.. At least until I am vanquished. It is the lot of a demons life. Or perhaps I will one day forever be forgotten in that little box your father created.."
She sat down, tearing the bread into segmented pieces, "Even if I starved myself to the last of my energy my essence would remain and simply wait until it was revitalized.." she explained this offhand, popping the pieces of bread and swallowing it calmly, however looked at Bella again,
"So who IS present here today? I was so looking forward to making your uncles life a misery but that can wait I suppose, cant have all my fun the first day back now can I..?"

"Thats a fridge, it keeps the food cool and prolongs its shelf life." If that was how she reacted to the fridge, it would be interesting to see how she reacted to the freezer or even the toaster. Twenty years and technology had come forward a long way. Quiet again, she continued to observe the demoness as she rifled through the cupboards, sniffing at various different tins and foods they had. And then she helped herself to one of the hottest spices they had and.. well, had none of the normal human reactions. No watering of the eyes, no coughing or sputtering. Odd, but then again, she wasn't human was she?

"The cook retired years ago, unfortunatly. We've a new one, but she's nowhere near as reliable and to be perfectly honest, the food isn't as good. She's always trying out new recipe's that no one likes. We'd complain but.. she was issued to us by the government. It seems we are no longer allowed to pick and choose our own staff." But given their occupation and the constant presence of demons, it wasn't such a bad thing not being able to pick their own staff. "I can have something cooked for you later, if you want. Though I wouldn't hold your breath for anything too edible."

Wine, bread and apples? An interesting choice of food. "Would you like me toast some of that bread for you?" She asked, head tilted as she then considered the question. "The life of a demon has never sounded a pleasant one. I can't imagine being locked away in single rooms or unable to die properly. At the end of a life one looks forward to being released." As for who was here, Bella gave an idle shrug of her shoulders. "My mothers here, she doesn't leave her room much these days. My grandfathers brothers around somewhere, I saw him earlier with my cousin. Other than that.. I'm not sure. A maid and the gardener I think."

"Oh I'm sure I could convince her to make little something more palatable.." Isenth snickered, though looked at the bread a while before staring at the young woman oddly, "Toast it? I hardly believe bread requires praise. Although it one of the few human creations I don't think I like it enough to wish it well before I consume it." yes she clearly didn't quite get the concept of what Bella meant but she was happily eating through the bread anyhow, though stopped to take a swig of the wine while paying attention to her new mistress.

"As a summoner you should already know that, demons are damned creatures, the souls of evil men, malevolent forces generated by pure hatred, feral desires such as lust and wrath, and chaos, the fairest power in all existence, for it cares not whose side you are on it smites you all the same.." The demoness grinned again, quite enjoying it, almost like bragging, though bite into an apple, chewed a little and swallowed, "However your father would go on about how he believed I was some special case. I certainly never understood his ramblings, he'd go into wild thoughts and ideas and even ramble about demons being welcome in Celestia," She shrugged to herself, shaking her head, "Utter drivel in my opinion."

She chewed on the apple a little more, attention drawn to it, it was rather sweet but had an odd sour tinge to it too..
"So, old man Ferris' hasn't kicked the can yet huh..? And your mother huh...?" The demoness stopped a while, looking down quietly at the apple for along while, her face going almost somber, almost filled with regret. Blela's mother was some-one Isenth remembered, not to mention was some-one she needed to see.

"..." Bella closed her mouth, deciding best not to say anything yet for fear of laughing and angering her newest summon. Bread required praise? Oh dear.. Once she was sure he wouldn't laugh, the female decided to explain. "I know it doesn't require praise, but the sort of toasting I'm on about is completely different. If you put the bread under some heat it'll toast. Tastes great with butter too. And Jam." Though it seemed as though the demoness was quite enjoying her bread the way it was, Bella didn't mention it again.

"I know that. But over the years most become attached to the demons we summon. Whether they are malevolent forces or feral desires." Which was true. Sioux, her first summon had terrorised local villages in some remote part of the world. Ate the locals and their livestock, tore down houses and had them all living in terror. Until one day a stranger appeared and slaughtered him. But she still wouldn't change him for the world. "My father had many idea's and thoughts on demons, this is why he became the head of the family. He treated demons as equals most of the time and taught us to do the same."

There was a slight pause before she spoke again. "No, he's still hanging on, stubborn as ever." Noticing the change in the demoness' expression, she offered her a smile. "I have to go see mother soon, its almost time for her medication, you can come with me if you want."

"You humans really do odd things to your food.." Isenth raised her eyebrow when it was explained to her more correctly, she'd never even considered what bread would be like if it were heated to such an extent. She did like freshly cooked bread though and was notorious for stealing it from the previous chef, though it seemed her past antics would be lost on Bella. At least so she thought as she ate the last of the apple she was working on, though she looked at the rose she'd taken for herself.

The demoness smirked at the thought of that old man being alive, shaking her head and sighing exasperatedly,
"That old mortal.. Always demanding I called him Sir Uncle. How annoying!" She stated, trying to look serious, but remembering how quirky the fellow could be sometimes she supposed for a human he wasn't bad. He didn't act as a demon or typical summoner, but then her previous master didn't either. When he spoke it was almost as if speaking with a fellow demon along certain matters.

"And I still consider your father the strangest mortal I've ever dealt with," The demoness folded her arms a moment as if sulking on the matter, though looked over at Bella again in regards to her mother. She nodded softly, showing an odd reluctant calm, in truth Isenth's current appearance was down to Bella's mother. Once a ragged creature, unrefined and too wild to care for appearances. repeated demands and orders from Bella's mother had been the resulting look of the demoness. Clean body, black clothes to reflect her dark nature, the chains that once manifested around her body to represent her being bound to the family instead replaced by the bangles around her wrists, and her hair stylized and cut, ponytail breaded down to its fullest length.
It had taken a while to get used to but after a while she found herself somehow appreciating the new look until she'd absorbed it as part of her essence, taking on the appearance whenever she manifested in the human world, even regenerating the lost clothes almost as if it were part of her own body.

Isenth kept the flower with her as she downed the last of the wine, enjoying the taste of the fluid as it washed over her tongue, and the cool, refreshing feeling of it rushing down her throat. It was good to be in the mortal realm again,
"Lets go see your mother.."

"Not really. Most foods taste better when cooked or toasted. I think meats the perfect example. We can't eat that raw anymore, it would make us ill. Same with eggs and numerous other foods." The old chef had thought her alot about food and how to prepare it. Though she knew how to prepare and store food, she was hopeless when it came to actually cooking it. Everything ended up burnt to a crisp or under done. Ah well.

Indeed, that uncle was quirky and strange, but very pleasant to be around. In his old age he'd only gotten stranger, his mind was leaving him but he still seemed to be able to keep up with everyone else around him. "I think some members of this family are born differently to the others. My grandfather and his brother are twins and yet both are very different. 'Sir Uncle' is a peculiar man, whereas my grandfather is a hard faced man, frowns upon any 'silly' behaviour." All in all, Bella would not change a single member of her family. Besides that wretched uncle of hers, but there was little she could do about that.

Despite only being a child, Bella could vagurely remember her mother 'luring' and 'trapping' ragged demons in her room and not letting them leave until they'd accepted a make over. Though it wasn't just demons, up until a year ago when she became bed ridden, her mother had always given her daughter a make over atleast once a year. A lovely demon with a very alluring demoness sat beside her night and day. The woman herself was the double of Bella, only slightly older, gaunt and with tubes sticking out of various parts of her body, hooked to different machines.

"Very well." Sliding from the counter, Bella led Isenth back through the house and up the stairs to the first floor. There were many doors lining the walls on this floor, most of which were shut and locked. One, however, was opened just enough for a head of beautiful golden hair to peek out. Alluring blue eyes and lucious pink lips. Growing up Bella had had the biggest crush on that demoness, though most who laid eyes upon her did. "I don't know if you remember Harmony or not." As soon as her name was mentioned, the head vanished back into the room with a soft giggle. Bella couldn't help but smile. Already her mother would know she was on her way with a guest.

Tapping twice on the door Harmony had vanished behind, Bella pushed the door open and stepped into the room. "Hello, mother. I've brought someone to see you, I hope you don't mind." The room was large, obviously built for two but with her husband gone, it seemed rather empty. The elderly woman was sat in the middle of the bed, surrounded by large pillows, several balls of twine and knitting needles and of course, Harmony sat beside her wearing (as usual) a very revealing outfit.

"... hello again.. Isenth." She croaked between breaths.

The demoness placed the empty bottle down, keeping her rose in hand as she followed after Bella quietly, sticking close to her so she could take in that scent, again, the rose oil was so much stronger and addicting than a single rose. She was following the young woman closely, finding as she took in the smell of the oil she was beginning to examine the summoner more closely, she loooked up for a moment at the other demoness, but found little interest in them,
"She is unfamiliar to me," Isenth responded with a shrug.
As they entered the room Isenth slowed, staring in at Bella's mother, she was examining the state that Bella's mother was in, she seemed so much more different.. Isenth wandered over slowly, ignoring the other demon, she sensed no real threat to herself from Harmony, then again she viewed few demons as a threat, but then that was part of her own arrogance.

Isenth sat down on the end of the bed, staring at the sickly woman for a while, she looked down at the rose she was holding, though reached over with it, placing it in the woman's lap before she stood again, turning her head once more to look at Bella's mother before turning away and going tot he door once more, waiting there quietly. She wasn't sure why she'd made a respectful action, or even kept quiet, an odd purpose in her mind. She didn't understand humans, their sicknesses and their emotions were unusual, but she had been gathering odd inclinations and desires, in fact ever since returning to the mortal world having all her senses fully reawakened had done a lot in a short time.

Something was bothering her in the back of her mind. Echo.. Strangely the thought of not seeing her previous master again was haunting her mind, he'd promised her but this wasn't exactly what she'd had in mind as she stared at Bella, folding her arms quietly. And his death.. This was bothering her as well, it was much too convenient, as she'd stated before Echo wasn't an idiot, well, she considered him an idiot, but not the stupid easy-to-kill kind, it wasn't easy to just ambush him..
Why hadn't he summoned her..?
That nagging feeling, she couldn't seem to rid herself of it. There was some-one in the world that had to pay for Echo's death, and she wanted to know who it was. Then she wanted to exact revenge.
