x- - Storyline. A boy who has been blind ever since he has been born, walking out one day into the world that has been hidden behind his dark eyes and causing some what trouble where ever he goes. His guide dog with him, what will he do when the guide dog runs away? Walking through the dark world on his own he walks into a construction site where a big business tycoon is planning on how to expand her company. People see this person wandering aimlessly and realize he must be blind, the business tycoon saves him and even helps him find the guide dog. Will their friendship go beyond the thank you? Name: Himiko Akabane Age: 22 Appearance: http://i935.photobucket.com/albums/a...R/pretty-1.jpg Bio: Himiko's father died just a bit less than a year ago, being the only child she is now heir of the Akabane Imports. This girl is trying her best to make her fathers already booming business even bigger. Though she doesn't have the faintest idea on how to run a business successfully her fathers old friends are being her guidelines till she is capable to take on the business by herself with out any help. |

Age: 18 Appearance:http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/t...animeboy-1.jpg Bio: Hachiro's parents abandoned his as a child and he was raised in the care of St. Peter's Orphanage. He is completely blind and has been ever since he was born. Every where he goes, his faithfull seeing eye dog Tag goes. The two are practically inseparable. Having reached the legal age of 18, Hachiro volunteers at the Orphanage in exchange for free room and board. |
Himiko sighed as she held the blue prints for the expansion of her late fathers company. She looked down frustrated at the blue prints, her fist was clenched. Why did he have to leave the company to her?! She had never taken in her fathers business because Himiko knew what she wanted to be right from her childhood, she sighed yet again as she sat down on a chunk of brick the workers were using for the expansion.
She felt a gentle hand on her should, she looked up and was thankful for the yellow construction hat on her head because it blocked out the sun. The hand on her shoulder belonged to her fathers best friend Ban Midou, he smiled down at her and spoke to her in a gentle voice "Its okay dear, you'll get this soon enough and till you don't you have me and your fathers other advisors to help you out." he told her wisely as he ruffled the girls hair. Himiko smiled, "thanks alot uncle, but" she paused her head bowed, "this isn't me! I'll never be as good as dad was taking care of his company. This was his dream Uncle, not mine." she knew she was being selfish but she was in her last year on University becoming an Archaeologist when she dropped out to take over the family business. |
"Tag! Slow down!" Hachiro hollered as the dog pulled against the leash, barking wildly. More than likely, the stupid mutt was chasing after a cat or a car...which was completely in his nature, seeing as how he was a dog and everything.
"Hey, watch where you're going!" He heard someone yell, his shoulder hitting something hard and solid. Hachiro winced but somehow managed to keep hold of his dog's leash. Suddenly, Hachiro felt his foot catch on something and before he knew it he was sprawled on the hard cement. He quickly tried to grab for Tag's leash but the dog was already out of reach, still barking wildly. |
Himiko checked pulled out her cell phone to check the time and saw it was the workers lunch time already. "Alright everybody time for lunch! And then back to work again." she told all the men around her in a weak yet confidently loud voice. She looked tired as she walked away from every one.
Himiko was about to get back to her car when she realized she still had the blueprints in her hand, "Great now I'm forgetting thing too.." she muttered to herself. Himiko jogged back quickly and put down the blue prints with all the other papers, just then the wind decided to tick her off and it blew all the papers around every where. "NO!" Himiko screamed, she was jumping up and down running around the whole dangerous site till she had every last paper in her hand. She sighed and snapped open her phone again to see that it was already half past her lunch time, she sighed and shook her head. Ever since she had taken over her dads company she had done nothing but screw up, she couldn't wait to go home and cry her eyes out in her room. |
Hachiro slowly got to his feet, the left side of his face stinging from the contact wit the concrete. Using his hands, he felt his way along the cool brick walls, calling out his dog's name.
"Tag! Here boy!" The world hidded behind unseeing eyes, Hachiro felt as if he were alone now...if only Tag were here. Heck, he'd even be releived to here Brother Simon's voice from the Orphanage. What am I going to do now? The thought to himself, feeling slightly helpless. This was one of the reasons he hardly left the safety of the Orphanage. With his illness, and without Tag, he'd never be able to find his way back alone. |
Himiko was in a mess the papers sticking out of her hands everywhere when she heard a voice. She looked up confused and she saw a man, she squinted her eyes to get a better look but realized that wasn't helping her. She put the papers down and this time put a full water bottle over top of them so they wouldn't fly away again.
She ran back to the man, he definetly wasn't one of her construction workers because first he wasn't wearing all the safety equipment and second he wasn't one of the many workers she had met. She ran yelling, "hey! You there! Over here! Don't you know its not save to be here with out proper equipment!" Himiko yelled. She shook her head angrily when he didn't look her way. "Jeez, people need to be more careful" she muttered as she got closer and closer to the man. |
Hachiro tilted his head in the direction of the woman's voice. Looking in her direction would really defeat the whole purpose of determining her distance from him so, instead, he realied on his ears.
"I'm sorry, miss. I'm afraid I've gotten myself lost." he flashed a crooked smile. "You haven't by any chance seen a german shepard run by here have you? He'd be a pretty big dog...about this high?" He demonstrated by putting his hand on his mid-thigh. |
Himiko finally reached the boy and took awhile to catch her breath, damn had she been running around alot today! She looked up at him, he seemed younger to her she frowned as she tried to recall if she had seen a dog but she knew if she had instead of working she would be playing and probably rolling around with the animal.
Himiko shook her head, as she looked at him. "As far as I recall I haven't seen a German Shepard, plus animals aren't allowed on the work site didn't you read the sign before wandering in?" she asked him raising an eye brow slightly. |
His crooked smile slowly melted away and felt himself grow hot in the face. Talking about his disability always made him uncomfortable. "If you haven't noticed by now...I'm kinda...well..." He took a deep breath. "I'm blind. Have been ever since i was born."
As he said this, he wished he could see the woman's reaction to this news. Usually, he could tell what someone was feeling from just the sound of their voice but what he wouldn't give for just one single minute of sight. |
Himiko gasped, her eyes softened and when she spoke her voice was no more than a whisper. "I..I am so sorry..I didn't know and I was slightly ticked off..and I am so sorry." she realized she was repeating her self she shook her head which was a bit bowed now.
'Great. You are the biggest idiot ever! Good job Himiko, you definetly know how to hurt some one!' she was having a battle inside her head, calling her own self stupid and idiotic. "Would you..like me to help you find you dog?" she asked the boy in front of her. |
Hachiro smiled to himself at her reaction to him being blind. He started to tell her that it was no big deal; that he was used to people not noticing. But before he could, she made the kind gesture of asking if he needed help finding his dog.
"That would be very helpful. Thanks." he replied. "He was chasing something...a cat I think. He shouldn't have run off that far. Oh...my name's Hachiro, by the way." |
"It would be the least I could do after being so stupid and rude" she said with a little laugh. She linked the boys hand with hers, "alright lets go find your dog" she walked slowly so Hachiro could walk with her pace. "Nice to meet you Hachiro! I'm Himiko, Himiko Akabane." she said introducing herself politely.
She cautioned Hachiro to watch his steps over the jagged construction site. She gently tugged the boy along as she kept her eyes open for his dog, "Whats the name of you dog Hachiro-kun?" she asked him, it would be easier if they called it by its name. |
Hachiro followed Himiko willingly, mentally thanking God that he'd found someone willing to help.
"His name is Tag." Hachiro said, responding to her question. "And you weren't being stupid or rude. I'm used to people not recongizing my illness and I don't go out of my way pointing it out either. |
Himiko yelled out the dogs name in a loud voice, "TAG! TAG BOY! WHERE ARE YOU?!" she yelled for the guide dog. Himiko shook her head, "but still, there was no need to be rude even if you did stumble here, I'm really sorry about that." she said yet again. Himiko knew her ego was not going let her live this one down.
She cocked her head to the side when she thought she saw a tail that belonged to a German Shepard, "This way! I think I saw your dog" Himiko told Hachiro tugging the poor boy along. |
Hachiro followed after Himiko, glad that she might have found Tag. Going about it this world without Tag was seemingly unbearable...then again it wouldn't have been so bad if he'd had someone else with him.

Himiko turned to Hachiro and stopped him, "stay here and I'll go get your dog for you" she told him with a pat on his shoulder. She half jogged towards the dog and grabbed him, he was a beautiful breed she spoke to him as if he could understand. "Hey boy! What are you doing all the way here? Must be tired aren't yah?" she pet the dog and guided him back to Hachiro.
Taking Hachiro's hand in her own she helped the boy find the dogs guidance strap. "Well, here you go Hachiro-Kun, you dog back safe and sound! I don't think he knows his way around here does he? Would you like me to help you get back to the main road?" she asked him with a gentle smile which he couldn't see. |
He nodded. "Thank you very much for all you help...and I would appreciate your helping me a bit longer." He smiled at the girl...wishing he could see what she looked like. Sometimes, being blind was such a hindrance. Most of the time, being used to it and all, it didn't really bother him. But this was one instance were it bothered him greatly.

Himiko raised an eyebrow at the request. "Umm..sure thing, is there some where you need to get too?" she asked him. Her one hand wrapped around her stomach and her mind gave a groan, she was beyond starving and she needed too get back to the construction soon too. "Oh, umm...I was wondering, do you want something too eat? Seeing as it is lunch time and I am really hungry" she said giggling lightly as the walked back through the construction site. Her hand stroked through Tags silky fur, petting the drooling creature. She smiled absently and looked at the empty construction site...sighing.
