----------

My characters;; unfortunately, i have no images

[*]His name is Isaac [doesn't have a last name yet]
[*]He's twenty-one years old.
[*]He's 'usually' straight *wink wink*
[*]He's a difficult character to pin point, but his personality will be more obvious as the role play goes on.
[*]Is great friends with Reed, they've known eachother for ages.
[*]His mother died a few years ago.
[*]And uhm. He's very independent, enjoys being on his own.
[*]And yeah, I think that's it. Any other questions, just ask.
[*]Oh, and he has messy black hair, blue eyes, and he's a little shorter than Reed, with a leaner body/chest.

[*]His name is Reed O'Sullivan.
[*]Is twenty two years old, but in a month will be twenty three.
[*]He's up for trying anything, but is quite immature about things, so he won't take anything seriously unless you smack it right in his face.
[*]He's a flirty kind of guy, and will only be mature and serious when he wants to. Loves to joke around and be with the ladies.
[*]Best friends with Isaac.
[*]He's English.
[*]Reed is more of a social one, doesn't like to be alone a lot of the time.
[*]He has red hair, brown eyes, and a perfect grin, with tanned skin. You usually see him topless (showing off his chest) with trunks on, or then shorts and a shirt.

[*]Last but not least, her name is Xia [no last name yet]
[*]She's twenty one.
[*]She doesn't quite know about her sexuality yet, but she's very shy, so straight as of now.
[*]Xia is shy as her new self, but in her past she was very sarcastic. Her face usually held a foul mood, and she was very blunt, speaking her thoughts. But she's now frightened and nervous, she doesn't know who she was, or who she is. She doesn't recognize her own face.
[*]Doesn't know Reed or Isaac very well.
[*]She doesn't come from Earth.
[*]Xia warms up to people after the awkward greeting.
[*]She has long black hair, with purple eyes, and not very tanned skin.

-- The Mariani Twins --

+ Gun-runners. They work for a small organization that sells guns to the highest bidders. No paper work, no permits, no mess.
+ Both have dark brown eyes. Without light shining on them, their eyes simply look black.
+ Both have blonde hair, though Zed's is mostly gone.
+ Twenty years old. Both have been gun-running in one capacity or another since they were sixteen.
+ Raised in a society and place where this was not all that uncommon.

-- Donna Susan Mariani --

+ Has a violent streak and no qualms about beating some to death. She finds it easier simply to shoot them, however.
+ Loves guns. Loves them so much she has quite an intricate understanding of them and is very adept at repairing and making them so long as she has the parts.
+ Cares so little about her appearance she borders on disgusting.
+ Has a tendency to sing what she's saying (rather poorly and off-key) when she's startled or nervous.
+ Has seven piercings. Three on each ear and one that connect a chain from her ear to her nose.
+ 5' 3"
+ Doesn't retain fat like she should. As a result, she's very skinny and often very cold. She's also often eating snacks.
+ Her eyes have weak capillaries and are often red.
+ Wears a lot of clothing that covers up her entire body save for her face.
+ Has a dog named Dog.

-- Jacob Zedidiah Mariani --

+ Plays the guitar, but sings rather poorly.
+ Very opinionated, but quiet around people he doesn't know.
+ Doesn't enjoy gun-running like Don does, but he tends to get sent out with her because he's bigger and more intimidating.
+ Uses sarcasm as a defense mechanism before violence.
+ Calmer than Don, but that's not saying much.
+Was severely burned as a child. Nearly his entire body is a wrinkled burn scar. Tends to stay out of general society because of this.
+ Only has small patches of hair on his head where the scar lets up enough. It's very light and very thin, so even what is there is difficult to see.
+ 5' 9"
+ Has a piercing in his nose.

The buyer, or more likely the buyer's errand boy, was finishing up the sale and becoming increasingly twitchy. Don didn't trust them when they started getting twitchy. They were more likely to bolt, to start shoot or, worst of all, to cause a scene. When they caused a scene Don lost money, which in and of itself wouldn't have been too bad, but a scene invariably brought the law. It was the law that Don was more than happy to go without. They made everything far too complicated. Sign this. Sign that. Do you understand this? Do you understand that? Will you be a good little girl and pretend you have liberties? Better, would you be a good little girl and pretend we're letting you exercise those liberties?
Don figured it was much easier if all law enforcement just went straight to Hell.

This, in its own roundabout way, brought Don's attention back to the fidgeting errand boy. He could go right to Hell too. What was there to be so nervous about, anyway? Her gun wasn't even out. Maybe it was Zed. She had never been intimidated by him like everyone else was. But, then, maybe that was because they'd been together since before birth. Or maybe it was because she'd seen him before the fire. Or maybe it was because despite his silence to the world, he didn't shut up around her. Don was putting her bets on the last one, but whatever the cause, she failed to see his intimidating qualities. Not that it mattered - the leader did, so Zed got sent out on these runs too.

When the errand boy finally left, Don let out a relieved sigh.
"So, do we have enough to hang around the base for a while? I want some pizza."
"Oh of course, because there's nothing better than hanging around people all day. It's not like we have anything better to do. Like our jobs or anything important like that." Zed replied, sarcasm sharpening his tone.
"Oh boo hoo, you have people issues. Head back home if you want."
"So the boss can wring me out for leaving you? No, thanks."
"Then put your silly mask on and let's go get some pizza."
"It's not silly." Zed said quietly, pulling the respirator out from his bag and putting it on.

Respirators were not uncommon in the off-world colonies. Most of the visiting alien races were not creatures that had adapted to the molecular percentages needed to sustain human life. Various kinds of breathing masks and pressure suits had been adapted to all sorts of alien physiques and molecular structure. Zed's respirator did not stand out among the crowd.
Until closer inspection.

Zed did not use the respirator for any other reason than to cover his burned face. Aliens tended to look at him as a kind of interesting anomaly of human structure. That was almost worse than the looks of ill-concealed disgust and pity from other humans. The small green light that indicated the breathing mechanism was functional was never on. Only the occasional doctor had yet to call him out on it, and the professionals tended to be more understanding of his situation than others. He rarely needed to lie for them.

Lies were more often conjured up to excuse their clothing. It was fully and bulky and more well-suited for the cold, atmosphere-leaking ghettos than the well-constructed market-place. It drew more than a few stares from the gathering of people at the food-court's pizza shack. Donna didn't much care and Zed simply did his best to be amused by Donna's ferocious eating in place of watching the staring eyes.

The food court sat in a large, oval area. The roof of the area was a panel-less window to the icy, mountainous clouds that Neptune was made of. The floor, when not tiled by the sleep silver linoleum, was surrounded by a ring of water, kept from freezing by the massive, humming generators that kept the colony afloat in the methane atmosphere and kept it stable against the treacherous winds. Between sections of the water were dams, which separated areas safe for swimming from areas too hot for most living beings to tolerate. The natives of Neptune had never been pleased with any temperature human could bear and tended to stay away from the area.

((OOC: So I hope you don't mind that I kind of hijacked the scenery. I did a very wee bit of research on Neptune [and looked through one of my favorite Arthur C. Clarke stories xD] and wanted to throw it in at the end there. If you don't like any of it I can edit it and throw it out.))
