Axel stretched, his arms far above his head as he looked out across the beach. Why in the world a beach had been picked as the place for two members of organization thirteen to hang out together was beyond him. But at least Roxas knew who he was now. And the kid was his best friend, and well. Axel grinned, hopefully he would be more soon.

(soory about this. i'm not sure what happened, why i didn't post and all. Other than i lost my internet. But that is no excuse >:O lol. Posted now, and hopefully you were still interested. It may take me a few to get back into the swing of fanfiction though. And i'm not sure which direction you wanted this to go in. )

Roxas looked at Axel for a moment. Then out at the water. He liked it here. It was a nice place. And there wasn't anyone around. Which was good. He liked hanging out with his best friend. Though it was a little hot here. But that was fine. If he got to hot, he go in the water.

Axel sighed inwardly, "Did you really have to pick a beach when we have to wear these ridiculously heavy jackets?" He laughed, his weapon swung idily at his side, he was thinking about throwing it at something. Maybe knocking off some leaves on the palm trees.

He ended up just shooting it into the sand so that it stuck vertically up as he sank down onto his butt. Sand flopping up around him.

"If its bothering you so much, then take the jacket off." Roxas said. He sat down next to Axel in the sand. He didn't see what the big deal was. He wasn't hot...Yet. But it was going to get hotter. Though Roxas didn't know that.

Axel started to unbutton it with a nod, "It's only going to get warmer when the sun gets higher. " He rolled his eyes, he was part fire so the heat got to him a little more than other people.

(oh god, what do they wear underneath? o.O)

"Well....If I get hot, then I'll take mine off too." Roxas said. He smiled at Axel for a moment. The laid back in the sand, with his arms crossed behind his head, using them as a pillow.

"So... I know you wanted to hang out, but doing what?" He asked it casually, as he slid off his organization thirteen jacket revealing his muscular chest and baggy pants. Axel, does not require shirts. And as he Roxas, his thoughts were the same about his best friend.

"I don't really know....But I heard some kids saying how much fun it is at the beach, so I wanted to come here." Roxas said. He turned his head to look at Axel. "Is there anything you want to do?" he asked, curious.

"Oh you know, get hot and than cool off." He waved his hand at the water dramatically a huge grin on his face as he looked at Roxas. "What do the kids do at the beach that make it so much fun?"

"I don't really know...They never really said." Roxas said. The sun was getting higher, and it was definitly getting hotter. He could feel his body heating up.

"huh." Axel looked around, trying to recall memories from before he was a nobody. "Did you ever make sand castles when you were a kid. I don't remember how. But i remember them. " He laughed and the stupidity of the idea.

"I don't remember if I did....But sounds like fun. Though if you don't know how to make them, then we can't do it." Roxas said. After about 5 minutes, he just decided to take his jacket off. He unzipped it and took it off, laying it next to him.

Axel shrugged, "It was an idea at least. You're hot." He meant it as a question, but it came out as a bit of a statement. "Told you it would get hot out."

"Yeah. I know. But I didn't think it would get hot that fast." Roxas said. He laid back down after he removed his jacket, using his arms as a pillow again.

Axel shrugged and copied him, one knee bent in a comfortable position. "Wanna go swimming later or something?" He watched the cloudless sky with annoyance.

"Yeah. That sounds like fun." Roxas said. He turned his head to smile at him. The turned back to the sky. He closed his eyes, enjoying the feeling of the sun on his face.

Roxas got bored laying there and moved so sit , well kneel next to Roxas's stomach. With a bright grin he took two handfuls of sand and dropped them on the boy's stomach and quickly tried to add more, knowing that Roxas was probably about to get angry with him.

"Hey! Axel!" Roxas exclaimed, sitting up. "What was that for?" he asked, knocking the sand off.

"It seemed like it'd be fun." He replied, grinning and all innocence. "I didn't think you'd get mad." He smiled like nothing had happened.

"I'm not mad. Just wanted to know why you decided to put sand on me." Roxas said.

Axel's reaction was to do it again, like a little child. "Oh good, than I can do it again." He smiled happily.

Roxas sighed silently. "Fine...Go ahead." he said, knowing that nothing he said would change his mind.

He grinned and piled sand on Roxas, enjoying every minute. His eyes flashed over the gorgeous face, even with the eyes closed the kid was adorable. He continued to pile small handful after small handful on, losing half of every amount he scooped. Did Roxas even know how much that he, Axel, liked him?

Roxas just let him do it. It didn't really bother him. So why did it matter if it happened. But then, of course, he really needed to go to the restroom. He opened his eyes and sat up.
