Bio: Ayu is a gamer like no other, if he gets involved in something he don't stop playing it until its finished. Relationships are hard for Ayu to keep a girl because of all the time spent in his games. His best friend is his only friend for some odd reason.

Bio: Ayu's best friend, Kani is also a gamer. Though, unlike Ayu, she has plenty of other friends, it's just that none of the others were as good a friend as Ayu. She's been confessed to a few times already, but has kindly turned down each and every confession, saying that her heart already belongs to another. She's had a crush on Ayu for as long as she can remember and doesn't mind that he's obsessed with games, in the end, she just ends up playing them with him as well.

Auy was walking to school on a cloudy Friday. He seen Kani and waved at her, as he started running toward her. He smiled "morning Kani" he was standing next to her and they started walking together. "Did you play any last night?" He asked since he didn't see her online at all.

Kani had been walking rather slowly to school when she saw Ayu and waved back happily when he waved. She stopped to wait for him to catch up before starting off again, "Morning Ayu." It was a bit windy out and she raised a hand to swipe her bangs out of her eyes before replying, "No, sorry, I couldn't get on. Another guy asked me to meet him at the fountain and he didn't seem to want to take no for an answer." She sighed, it got troublesome after a while, "I'll go on tonight to make it up to you?"

"oh? im sorry to hear that.. you kick his ass?" Ayu said with a chuckle, and smiled at her. "if you get on i will be more than happy." He said as they got closer toward the school. "you know you should come over some night.. i got a new game to show ya.." He smiled at her as more students were gathering on the sidewalk.

"Of course." Kani laughed along with Ayu. "Well I could come over after school today, my parents are at it again." She sighed, running a hand through her hair, "They never seem to agree on anything anymore. Not since Miku left." She looked away from Ayu for a moment and waved to some of her friends who waved for her to go over. She shook her head an turned back to Ayu, "So, what's the new game about?"

"I hope they work it all out again.. other wise you know your welcome over anytime." Ayu said as he looked her her knowing what was going on. "its some Fantacy style.. looks cool, but i didn't want to start it alone.." He knew she liked playing but he wasn't looking at the fact that she was denieing everyone to stay talking with him. ((sorry for bad spelling too..))

"Sounds like fun, I'll definitely be over than." Kani laughed out. "You know your my best friend right?" She asked then stopped and leaned over to give Ayu a peck on the cheek before turning and running towards her other friends, "I'll see you second period!" She called back.

Ayu blushed a bit, and softly said "yea and your mine too.." He added smile as she ran off and he waved toward her again. He did like her, but he didn't know it was that much. "See you then.." He said and headed off toward his first class and sat alone like he always did, wanting the time to pass faster.

Kani giggled and rolled her eyes at her other friends' teasing. "You guys are evil." she muttered, burying her red face into her arms after sliding into a seat, surrounded by the chatter of her friends. A small smile stayed on her lips as she lifted her head again at another comment and shook her head. Second period would never come soon enough.

After one long hour, the bell rang and Ayu got up after getting teased and he headed out in the hall and waited for Kani. He couldn't wait to see her and figure out what the little kiss was all about. His face was still a little red just thinking of her and just before school. If there was one thing he liked over games was his best friend.

"Ayu~" Kani called out childishly when she spotted her best friend. She waved bye to her friends from first period and ran all the way to Ayu's side of the hall, throwing her arms around his neck in greeting. They might've been seniors in their school but it still didn't stop Kani from acting like a child. After the initial greeting Kani released Ayu from her hug and took a step back, ahnds behind her back as she smiled sweetly at her friend, "How was first period?"

Ayu wrapped his arms around her as well, when she came up to him. "you were not there, so how you think it went?" He asked her with a smile as he offered her his had as they waled toward their next class. "I bet you didn't even miss me at all." he said jokingly toward her.

"Stop teasing me Ayu! I got that all of first period." Kani groaned out, taking Ayu's hand with a smile and a light pink tint to her cheeks. She loved him, how much, she wasn't sure, but she knew she loved her socially inept friend. He was precious to her, as precious as her brother had been, but he'd left, hopefully Ayu wouldn't leave as well. "And of course I missed you, you're my best friend." Kani stated simply as she intertwined her fingers with his, walking a little ahead of him in a vain attempt to hide her red face.

Ayu held her hand and he didn't care what people said about them. "you know i am just teasing because you are the best, and closest person to me.." He was red as well, but he liked her a lot. He was thinking of what he was going to do after school, and he hoped she would like what he was thinking of. He squeezed her had softly and looked at her, his red face showing but he was alright with it.

"i know." Kani murmured, "i know." She smiled softly again, turning to grin at Ayu before turning back around and pulling the door to the classroom open, "Now, off to second period we go." she sang softly, tugging him into the classroom and heading straight for their regular seats. Hopefully school ended soon, it was only second period but Kani was already bored to death of the "education system".

Ayu followed as she lead him to their usual seats. he never wanted to let go of her hand, but he had to the teacher was staring at them. The announcements started and the class settled down, and the principle talked his normal mumbojumbo. Since it was Friday, and close to the main dance of the year, he said that they would letting school out right after second period. Ayu looked at Kani and smiled.

Kani face split into a grin at the announcements and she giggled again when Ayu looked over to her. "Perfect end of the week." she whispered. Really, it was all to convenient. She just hoped Ayu didn't ask her about the kiss arlier, she had done it on impulse and didn't know how to explain it if he did ask.

After all the announcements, the class went by rather fast. Once the bell rang, Ayu stood up and waited for Kani, so they could get out of there. The plan was to head to his house, but he didn't know if they were going straight there or what all was going to happen. "So how you like this?" He asked her with a smile "we get out early, and your stuck with me longer." He chuckled, and offered her his had again.

Kani took his hand immediately, "Doesn't sound like such a bad idea to me." she answered truthfully. "So you have any plans or are we just gonna head over to your house?" She noticed someone approaching from the corner of her eyes. Not that guy again...She shook her head then tugged on Ayu's hand again, pullling him behind her as she ran, "Come on~"

"no plans...ok?" Ayu followed her as she pulled him out of the room. He noticed the guy that was getting closer when they took off. Once out, he looked at Kani. "Whats up with that guy?" he asked knowing that he was going to ask her out on the way to his house.

"He's an idiot that doesn't understand the meaning of simple words like no." Kani replied simply with an annoyed expression on her face. She brushed her bangs back with her free hand and then slowed her pace down so that she wasn't pulling Ayu behind her anymore and walked silently for a moment, "No plans? That's fine. More time for us then." She laughed.

Ayu smiled at her last comment, but didn't say too much just yet because of what just happened. "You are right.." He said still holding her hand. They made their way out the crowded school, and the were back on the road again. He looked over at her, and just smiled. After getting all the courage he could gather up, which wasn't much, he softly said. "Kani.. can i ask you something?" His hand was getting a bit sweaty, but he didn't let her go.

"Hm?" Kani returned her gaze from the sky to the boy beside her with a curious look on her face. She didn't notice that his hand was getting sweaty, she was just curious as to what Ayu wanted. "Sure, ask away Ayu dear~" she laughed again.

Ayu smiled and could not help but to blush as well. "I have liked you for the longest time..." He said not looking away, but straight into her eyes as they walked slowly. "Would you like to out with me?" He was hoping she would say yes, but it being sudden like that, he didn't know what the answer he was going to get would be.
