[[We have German Shepard mix, he's still just a puppy. I swear once I move out I'll get my Husky, there beautiful dogs.]]

Althea looked over at the door, when she heard someone knock on it. She could tell who it was merely because she could sense different power levels from all of them, she walked over to the door and opened it and gave him a smile “Bored?” She asked with a laugh

It was rather boring, they didn’t know the area, they really couldn’t leave the house. What else could they do? She wasn’t one to like lazing around inside all day, maybe she would be able to go outside, and explore the area around the house or something.

Once Zarek had studied his room enough, he figured he would look around the house some. It was boring being in his room all by himself, besides she had said to make themselves comfortable, and he wasn’t comfortable just sitting in his room, watching the wall.

He wondered down the hallway, and took note of what was around, the bathrooms, the room and whatever else he saw. It really was a nice house, and he liked it, but he got the feeling she didn’t like having strangers in her house, then again who did?

Woofie267 08-03-2010 11:36 PM

((Yes they certainly are))

Callyx nodded. "Yeah. This is a nice place and all, but it's kinda like a hotel. There's nothing to do." He shrugged.

"Maybe we can go meet the dogs, or go outside or something. Just about anything would be better than being stuck in here with nothing to do." Callyx sighed for effect. He did hate being stuck inside in an unfamiliar house in a place he'd never been. It made him rather nervous. He'd rather be outside.

Once she'd assessed she had no new information, Nika turned off her computer and started going through her mail, tossing the junk in the recycling bin and paying the bills. She put the things to go to the post office in a neat pile. She looked up, having only a moment's warning before Ares popped into her office behind her chair.

"Well, I see your guests are here," Ares said, taking off his sunglasses and smirking at her. Black curly hair fell over his forehead and ears, though it did nothing to conceal the two piercings in his left ear. "How are you getting on with them?"

Nika shrugged. "Fine, I guess. What do you want this time, you sick bastard?" She turned her chair around and stood up, though she stood considerably shorter than his 6' frame. She glared up at him nonetheless, not intimidated by him anymore.

"Temper, temper, Nika," Ares said with a little grin. "Give them a few days to get over the jet lag and get used to their surroundings. Then you'll all be going hunting."

Nika made a disgusted noise. "Why can't I just go? You know I don't work well with others."

"You may need their help, little one. I'll give you the rest of the information in a few days." And, with a sadistic grin, Ares vanished again, leaving Nika swearing and cursing him in four different languages.

Artificial Lily 08-03-2010 11:50 PM

“I would have to agree, not to mention, unlike in my home, I have no idea whats around that I could go and do” She said with a small laugh. Really she hated staying inside all day, it was just wasting your life away if you sat inside all day and did nothing.

“Going outside sounds fine, I kind of wanting to explore outside anyway, you wouldn’t happen to be a mind reader, would you?” She asked. Although she was only kidding, as far as she knew there was no mind reading power, but you never really know what could happen.

Zarek ended up finding himself near Nika’s office and heard her swearing, had something bad just happened? Or was she mad that they were there? He probably wouldn’t be too happy; if he had to house guests he hardly knew and had no choice in the matter.

He noticed that the door was open, but knocked on the wall, to let her know he was there, a habit he had, he didn’t like surprising people “Are you okay?” He asked as he looked at her, careful to keep his distance in case she was in a bad mood.

Woofie267 08-04-2010 12:02 AM

Callyx chuckled. "Not that I know of," he said with a little grin. "Come on. Let's go see if we can find a way out."

He led the way downstairs, looking around. The staircase led into a living room, and on the opposite end was a sliding glass door. He walked over and opened the door, motioning for Althea to precede him. He'd been raised to be a gentleman, after all. Whoever said chivalry was dead obviously didn't know the Greeks.

"Just had a visit from Ares," Nika said, flopping back into her chair. "I was right. We are going hunting. I just don't know what we're hunting, and we won't start for a few days. I'm supposed to give you three time to get over the jet lag."

Muttering to herself, Nika neatly stacked her bills on the edge of the desk and glanced over a few other things before she got up again, deciding to spend some time in her own personal training room.

Artificial Lily 08-04-2010 12:11 AM

“Well that would be a pretty cool power to have, but I imagine it would have to get annoying after a while” She said. She wouldn’t want the ability to read people’s minds; she didn’t want to know what people really thought.

Althea followed after him and smiled when he motioned for her to go first “Thanks” She said as she walked outside “It’s nice here, at least” She said as she glanced around.

“Ohh” He said. He had remembered her saying something about them not getting along and picturing him as a kitten, the image wasn’t that funny to him. “Ohh, so it sounded like we’ll be doing a lot of work” He said

“Do you need any help with anything?” He asked. The least he could do, would be to help her since he was staying at her house.

Woofie267 08-04-2010 04:59 AM

Callyx nodded his agreement, looking around. The weather was perfect, and it wasn't humid or anything. "Reminds me of home," he said softly. "I've spent many days outdoors in weather like this. Only I used to go swimming with my friends out in the ocean. It was fairly warm."

Shaking his head a little, he shut the sliding glass door behind them and started walking with no destination in mind. There were enough trees to provide patches of shade, if necessary, and the grass was green and just long enough to brush his ankles through his jeans.

"I would imagine so." Nika cracked her neck on each side, rolling her shoulders. "No, thanks. I was just going to go work out some. You can come if you want, but I'll probably be boring."

She went over to a side door in the kitchen and went out into the yard. She passed from the yard to a building only a dozen yards away or so. It had been a barn, but she'd cleaned it out and had converted it into her own private training space. She took off her shoes in the small entryway before she let out a deep breath, closing her eyes and stepping onto the mats that covered the floor.

Artificial Lily 08-04-2010 02:27 PM

“But it can never be home” She said. There were things this place was lacking, and it would never have them, like her father, or her friends. She could always make new friends, but her old ones could never be replaced. “Sounds like you had a lot of fun back home, where is your home anyway?” She asked.

She smiled some as she followed after him, it was really beautiful, and she could grow to like it here. “Although, the scenery is beautiful, it makes me miss the ones from back home” She said

“That would explain why we were all called together, I wonder why us though” He said. He was sure there were other ones out there who were stronger than him, he could understand why the other two had been called, but why him? He wasn’t as strong as the others, and probably wouldn’t be all that much help.

“I’ll come” He said and followed after her. He was interested in seeing where she worked out, even though he didn’t plan on working out. He just didn’t want to be back at the house alone, with nothing to really do.

Woofie267 08-04-2010 05:38 PM

Callyx nodded. "Yeah, I know what you mean. I was born in Greece, and I've lived in three different cities, but all in the same area. I have a lot of friends and family back home." He sighed softly.

"This scenery is different from home, though. So what about you? Where are you from?" He turned to look at her, his eyes deep blue like the ocean, the calm before the storm.

"Well, I know why I was picked," Nika said as she sat down on the mats, starting to stretch out. "I've been doing this all my life. I've lived with Ares for a few years, when I was a lot younger, and I've gone through all his Hell-training and all that, so he knows I can kill things and deport their asses back to Olympus."

After stretching out for a few minutes she walked over to a side wall, where weapons hung in racks or on pegs along the wall. She picked out a katana, holding the weight easily, and started going through the forms and katas, her breathing deep and even.

Artificial Lily 08-04-2010 07:11 PM

“Well, I was born in New York, but I pretty much grew up in Greece, after all I’ve lived in Greece for eighteen years” She said. He didn’t know how old she was, so he wouldn’t know how long she had spent in Greece.

“So what do you think we’re here for?” She asked. She still had no idea why she had been called here, sure she had trained with her mom to learn how to use her powers but she had hardly ever had to use them before, so why now?

“Well, I’ve never done anything of the sorts” He said as he watched her. He didn’t know how to do anything like that, although he did know how to use his powers, it was a shock for him when he had discovered that he had them, but he wasn’t as powerful as the others. “Wouldn’t it have made more sense to call in someone, as strong as the other two?” He asked

He really didn’t think he would be much help, nor did he really understand why he had even been asked in the first place, but who knew maybe he would be more helpful then he thought.

Woofie267 08-04-2010 08:31 PM

Callyx nodded. "I love Greece. It's not just that I grew up there, since I have traveled with my family. But it is a wonderful place, is it not?" His smile turned reflective.

Then he focused his attention on her. "I do not know," he said softly. "I would think that the girl, Nika, is probably the closest to being right of all of us, but I am not sure. I would guess we would have to wait and see."

"Well, technically I'm the weakest of the group," Nika said as she moved through the stances, moving faster and faster, fighting imaginary foes. "I'm only a quarter god. My powers are the weakest of all of us."

She didn't really resent that fact. She had more than enough physical power to make up for her lack of powers, plus anyone who messed with her and got away with it drew the wrath of Ares. And that was never fun.

Artificial Lily 08-04-2010 08:54 PM

"Yes it is a wonderful place" She said with a smile. She loved almost everything about Greece, it's history, and it was where she was from, and raised, so it was almost everything to her.

"Well, why would we be called?" She asked. She could understand why they might seek out her and Callyx, after all they did have a god/goddess as a parent. But if they needed help, why wouldn't they have sought it out sooner?

"I don't really believe that, Mental and Physical Strength are what really make a person strong, with out that, even with strong powers you are nothing" He said. His father had told him that, you didn't just have powers, you had to believe you were strong, and you could do great things.

"But if your the weakest then I guess I'm not far behind you, after all I'm only one third, and that's not that big of a difference from you" He said. Although he didn't think she was weak at all.

Woofie267 08-04-2010 09:07 PM

"I'm not sure. Although not much of this makes sense." He sighed and shook his head. "I'm really not sure why we're here, but I'm pretty sure it's not for fun or to make friends." He shot her a brief grin. "Although that is a side bonus."

Nika shrugged. "Well, it doesn't really matter to me," she said, pausing in her working to lower the katana, looking at him. "I don't care how strong anyone thinks I am, or what I am in comparison to someone else. As long as I can do what I need to do, it's good enough for me."

Artificial Lily 08-04-2010 09:24 PM

"It seems like were all on different levels, so I don't see how we'd work well together" She said. Although often the best teams were those that made no sense at all. "I knew it wouldn't be for fun when my mother told me I had no choice but to go" She said. If she had, had her way she'd still be at home, with her father and friends not here.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you" He said. For some reason he got the feeling he had and that wasn't what he had meant to to "Er, I should probably go and leave you alone, don't want to bother you anymore then I already have" He said with a soft smile as he turned and left, heading back to the house.

Woofie267 08-04-2010 09:39 PM

Callyx shrugged. "Yeah, I know how you feel. I wasn't exacty looking forward to this trip, and it's lived up to my non-expectations." He sighed before he looked around again. "Well, who knows? Maybe we won't have to spend too long here, and then we can go home."

He hoped so, anyway. This place was nice and all, but it wasn't his home. He hadn't wanted to leave, but he hadn't had a choice, which he rather resented.

"It's fine," Nika said. "I'm not offended." She turned and put the katana back, starting to work with a pair of knives instead. She said nothing as he left, watching him go, before she started to work again. She worked best alone, and while she didn't hold them coming here against any of them (since she knew they'd been forced just as she had) she wasn't happy that she had to work with them. Especially since she didn't know anything about them; their skills, what training they'd had, anything.

Artificial Lily 08-04-2010 09:47 PM

"I didn't want to come at all" She said honestly. She didn't really want to get involved with whatever was going on, it wasn't her duty to save, or protect the world, she was just like everyone else, minus the goddess mother, but she should get to live as normally as she wished "I suppose living my normal life is all over now" She said. Her life had never been completely normal, but it had been as normal as she could make it.

Zarek yawned some as he headed back into the house, maybe he would go and take a name or something. It seemed like Nika would rather be alone, and there was no one else in the house he could talk to or play with. He could go play with the snake, but he didn't really want to unless Nika was around, he didn't want to accidentally hurt it or something.

Woofie267 08-04-2010 09:58 PM

"I didn't either. I mean, I didn't want to leave my life and come here for who knows what reason." Callyx shook his head a little. "I hope we can go back to how things were after this, although I don't know if we'll be able to. I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

Nika continued working for a good hour before she finally stopped, panting, and put all her weapons away again. Then she headed back inside and up to her room to take a quick shower before she went down to the kitchen, thinking of places she could get food for them from.

Artificial Lily 08-04-2010 10:15 PM

"Who ever wants to leave there life and start over?" She asked as she looked over at him "All well, I guess it's not so bad, I mean you seem pretty nice, although, I'm not so sure our host wants just around" She said with a small laugh. Nothing worse then feeling like you weren't wanted around, especially when you were the one who had to leave everything and come there.

Zarek yawned as he sat in his room and looked out the window, it was a beautiful area and at least that was a plus. Maybe he could just go home, that would make things so much easier, then having to stay here.

Woofie267 08-04-2010 11:14 PM

Callyx nodded. "I don't like it either, but I can't really blame her, you know? I mean, imagine being told that you had to host three complete strangers in your home for an undetermined amount of time and you had no choice in the matter. How happy would you be about that? I know I would be pissed."

Nika managed to find a few take-out menus she still had lying around her house and started to search for the others, leaving the menus on the table. "Hey! Anyone around?"

When she got no immediate answer, she poked her head out the sliding glass door. "Oi! You two! Dinner conference!" she yelled to them.

Artificial Lily 08-05-2010 02:33 AM

"I can understand that, but we were also forced to leave our homes to come here, at least she gets to stay in her home, we had no choice but to come here, somewhere we don't know at all" She said.

She turned around when she heard Nika call them "Looks like were being called inside" She said as she looked at him for a second, before she started to head back towards the house. She really didn't care what they ate for dinner, but she wasn't going to be rude and ignore her.

Zarek smiled some as he headed downstairs out of his room and towards the kitchen, he had heard Nika yell something about a dinner conference, he had pretty good hearing and hardly missed anything. It took him a few minutes to find the kitchen, and once he did he took a seat and waited for the other ones to get there.

Woofie267 08-05-2010 05:48 PM

Callyx nodded. "I know," he said softly. "It's hard on everyone." He turned and followed her inside, finding he was a little hungry. And he better get used to this new time zone fairly quickly, since he didn't know when they'd start working.

Once everyone was in the kitchen again, Nika set out the take-out menus. "Right, you can browse through those if you want. Your basic choices are Italian, Chinese, Thai, or deli stuff. I personally vote for Chinese, but I like all of the places so it doesn't matter to me where we eat."

She was making an effort to be nicer to them, but it was hard. She'd always been a loner, and having people around wasn't helping her temper, but she would try her best to be nicer. These people didn't deserve her wrath just for being there. It wasn't their faults, after all.

Callyx picked up the Thai menu, glancing it over quickly before he offered it to Althea. Anything sounded fine to him, honestly, but he decided to take a look and see if anything absolutely jumped off the page at him.

Artificial Lily 08-05-2010 06:40 PM

Althea didn’t really care what they ate, anything was fine with her, she wasn’t the picky kind “Anything is fine really, doesn’t matter much to me” She said. She had tried a lot of different foods, and always loved trying new things, it was interesting and you never knew if you would like something in till you tried it.

“No thanks” She said when Callyx offered her the menu, she really wasn’t that interested in looking at it. Besides if Nika wanted Chinese food, that sounded fine with her, after all it was her house.

Zarek looked over at Nika “Chinese is fine with me” He said. He wasn’t going to be picky, Chinese wasn’t his favorite but he did like it. Besides he really wasn’t in the position to be picky, that would make him look like a horrible house guest.

Woofie267 08-05-2010 09:16 PM

Nika eyed them all for a few moments before she shrugged. "Alright, then. You can come with me to pick it up, if you like, or you can stay here. I'll get everything set up." She pulled her cell phone out of her pocket, dialing from memory, and moved into the dining room to place the order for them.

Then, since she had to wait a few minutes before leaving to pick it up, she set up the dining room table. She popped her head back into the kitchen a few moments later.

"What does everyone like to drink? Soda, water, juice, what?"

"Anything is fine with me," Callyx said with a shrug. "As long as it's cold." He'd set the menu down and was currently looking around her house, curious and a little interested. He could see a few things that were fairly obviously Greek in origin, and he wanted to go examine those more closely.

Artificial Lily 08-06-2010 12:30 AM

Althea nodded, she didn’t really want to go with her, but if she needed someone to go, she supposed she could go. “Water” She said. That was basically all she drank, was water, unless she had no choice but to drink something else, but there was usually always water around, so that was what she would drink, especially since it was the healthiest choice.

Zarek looked over at her “I’ll go with you” He said with a soft smile. He figured she might need some help, well even if she didn’t need it, he would offer it. He wanted too at least be able to help her out now that he was intruding in her house, plus his mother had always taught him to respect and help women.

“Uhh, doesn’t really matter to me either” he said. He wasn’t picky with what he drank, just about anything but coffee was okay with him, that was the only thing he couldn’t stand drinking.

Woofie267 08-07-2010 06:36 PM

Nika nodded. "Alright, great. You can go ahead and help yourselves. There's bottled water in the fridge, along with sodas and juice and stuff." She finished setting up the dining room and stretched before she went back into the kitchen.

"Alright, Zarek, if you're coming with then we should probably get going." She grabbed her boots and pulled them on, lacing and tying them quickly.

Callyx watched Nika for a moment before he went to go get a bottle of water for himself and Althea. He pulled the two bottles out and offered one to her with a small smile.

Artificial Lily 08-07-2010 06:40 PM

Althea looked at him and smiled "Thanks" She said as she took the one bottle from him. He really was pretty nice, and certainly seemed to be a gentlemen, which was pretty rare to find these days. "So what are we going to do while, were here alone?" She asked

Zarek nodded and followed after her, once they were by the front door he slipped his shoes on and looked at her "How far away is this place?" He asked. he was interested in learning what was around them, in the area, if they could he wanted to go out and explore the area some, see what shops where around and what not.
