"Resa you need to go to bed now, you have school tomorrow!" Resa's mom yelled at Resa.
"yeah mom, I'm going, just finishing up taking care of Sweety" Resa replied, coming out of the animal room. Resa had a bunny named Sweety, two hamsters named Flower and Chuck, and 5 birds named Ocean, Sky, Missy, Maggie and Pied. She finished with the animals and got ready for bed. 'tomorrow, back to school... maybe something exciting will happen' she thought and fell asleep. 'Why does my bed feel hard? Did I roll off and not wake up?' Resa thought the next morning as she lay there. She had not opened her eyes yet because she didn't want to wake up it didn't feel like she slept long. Slowly Resa opened her eyes. "Ahh! Where am I?" she yelped out of shock, not recognizing her surroundings. She sat up and looked aroundand saw her sword lying by her. She was sitting on a dirt floor with trees surrounding her. Each tree had beautiful dark brown trunks and healthy green leaves. Some had differently colored fruits is them. "Where am I? What is this, a dream?" Resa thought outloud. Turning around Resa saw a huge mountain towering over and gasped. Slowy she stood, grabbed her sword, looked back at the mountain, got a stick and stuck it straight up in the ground and started walking away from the mountain. 'That way I won't get lossed, it I go in circles or someting I'll know by the stick' she thought, glancing one more time at the mountain and stick then continuing her way through the forest. |
Mii wandered throughout the forest aimlessly, she had no idea whatsoever on where or when she was at all, yet, when she closes her eyes in bed she instantly wakes up in the strange land which name she didn't know. In one hand was a large branch that she would use as self defense. Her other arm was wrapped around her doll, Uzura. Mii was nowhere without Uzura, she was like a companion to Mii. She looked around again before sighing,"Where am I?!" She yelled into the sky, frustrated.
Aaron looked at the direction of the Mii's voice, he pushed his glasses up and turned to his twin brother, who was trying to dig a hole with a stick. Sighing, Aaron went and hit his brother on the head,"Didn't you hear that scream?" He asked,"I think we should go investigate." Aero looked up from his fail of a hole,"Okay!" He exclaimed and ran off into the forest. Sighing , Aaron followed the boy with a scarf around his neck toward the sound. Aero ran and ran,"I think I heard it somewhere-" He was in front of Mii already. Mii, who was minding her own business, was scared to death. Shrieking, she brought down the accursed branch upon Aero's face. SMACK! The sound of Aero's painful screams were heard afterward. |
Resa stopped, she heard screams from another direction. Without thinking she ran off in the direction of the screams, sword ready as she did not know what she was facing. 'Could it be other humans? or a monster of some sort?... or maybe both' she thought as she ran. Then through the trees, she saw something moving. She stopped and crept forward, studying the movement. Realizing there were people, two or three she could not tell, at least two, Resa called out "Who's there? Friend or Foe?"
|
She stood, her eyes narrowed and centered on the towering mountain before her. Her face was smooth and indifferent as her thoughts swiftly went through the different scenarios on how she could have arrived here. It might have been an enemy, a way to get secrets, but unlikely. Sighing she flipped the long braid she wore back over her shoulder so that it ran down her back. She needed to find shelter, food, and water. Then she could worry about the other problems. Like waking up in a forest that she didn't recognize when she had gone to bed in a hotel in Amsterdam for instance.
She moved efficiently, her body graceful as it maneuvered around branches and bushes. There didn't seem to be any trails from what she could tell, which would mean this was not a habited place. Their were game trails though, so that meant their were animals. Though the prints they left were strange and she could not identify them. She had been making steady progress when she heard the screams and yells. That would mean others were here. She turned from the direction she had been heading and started in a new one towards the voices. She got her knife out from her boot, holding it loosely, but ready in her hand. It was not long before she came upon the three. Two men and one girl. They were all young like herself. She stood under the cover of the trees and bushes, undetected, observing the situation. The girl seemed to be handling herself fine, if the guy in pain was any indication. |
Aero groaned and sat up, rubbing his head,"What is wrong with you!?" He yelled, before Aaron came to his aid.
"Brother, understand that you scared her to death. Now, apologize." He pointed to Mii, who was holding the branch in her hand and looking at them both menacingly. Aaron turned to Resa,"We are friends, just a bit of a misunderstanding." Mii lowered the branch, as Aero looked up at her, mumbling,"Sorry miss...." Mii huffed and put her hands on her hips,"Apology accepted, please don't do it again." She turned to Resa,"Hi hi!~ I'm Mii, what's yours??" She asked, forgetting that she had completely injured someone. |
Resa stared at the three of them shocked. Shifting her gaze to Mii Resa replied "uh, I'm Resa, nice to meet you Mii". She relaxed her grip on her sword and changed her position to a more comfortable stance. Still unsure of the two guys, Resa looked back at them observing their motions. Something felt wrong to her like they were being watched by something or someone, 'or maybe it's just the two guys' she thought.

((Sorry for not posting, i tried a couple times but I have writer's block right now, so its not the best quality right now D: ))
Lynne jumped into bed, a wide smile on her face. Tomorrow was her day! She had a whole party set up just for herself, with a few friends coming. It was going to be the best day ever! And Kyle was coming too... She tossed and turned. Lynne was way too excited to fall asleep. She pulled out her notebook from under her pillow, and opened its emerald green cover and began writing. "I wish..." She paused, thinking. What could she wish for? Her life was as perfect as it could possibly be. What was she missing? Lynne knew there was something she didn't have. She sighed. I'll think about it in the morning, she thought, turning off the light. I really need to get some sleep. Lynne blinked open sleepy eyes. "Where- where am I?" She muttered. She wasn't in her room, that was for sure. But Lynne was in bed, her own bed. And her notebook was still under her pillow. Lynne rolled over and fell onto a soft, springy green bed of moss. She got up and looked around. She must be in a forest. It was dense and dark, sort of scary. Lynne saw that it seemed to extend in all directions. If only she had chosen the climbing station last summer instead of the hair-styling station. It would have come in handy. But there were no forests by where Lynne lived. Only sparkling, clean sky scrapers stretching in all directions. So there was no point learning anything like that. Lynne was sure she was screwed in this place. Why was she here? Was it all a dream? |
"Um well I guess while you three get settled I'm going to go look around. Maybe there are others?" Resa said, turning away. 'There's got to be more people, so far four of us so I'm pretty sure there are more people somewhere' she thought as she disappeared back into the forest. Resa went to a trot looking around, listening for sound of others, be human or creatures. 'Wait... what kind of creatures are here anyways? I haven't seen anything other than those three.' she thought, stopping and looking around. She went through her memories of the new place. She couldn't remember hearing or seeing birds or other non-human animals.
|
Lynne sat down and rested her face in her hands. It was all hopeless. she sighed and leaned back, and for once she was able to appreciate the beauty of the forest. It was like nothing she had seen before. The leaves were lit up by the sun, waving lazily from the highest branches. Birds chattered everywhere. Lynne spotted one in a tree nearby- a small, dark blue bird with a long beak.
Suddenly she heard footsteps. And these were human footsteps. Lynne jumped to her feet. The footsteps stopped.Terrified, Lynne leaped into the bushes near by. Ick- brambles. |
Then in the distance Resa heard the chirping of birds.
"Good, there is wildlife here" she sighed. Now she knew she could always look for animals to befriend if she couldn't find humans. Or more of even if she found humans she could still befriend animals. Resa froze, something moved in the bushes nearby. "W-who's there?" she questioned, she brought her sword to the ready position, just in case something attacked her. |
Kim Sungmin, or Sunny as he was called by friends and classmates, sighed and put down his pencil, running a hand through his dark hair. He was a pretty good student, but his Trig homework always seemed to have it out for him. He grinned at himself and shook his head, pushing his chair away from his desk. He figured a break was what he needed; he only had three problems left from the twelve assigned, and his brain was getting frazzled. He went downstairs and poured himself a glass of orange juice, grabbing a granola bar before going into the living room and plopping himself onto the couch, picking up the remote before propping his feet up on the coffee table. He flipped through the channels as he munched down on his granola bar, before settling on the History Channel. He settled into the couch and glued his eyes to the tv. After a while, Sunny found himself drifting off to sleep. I'll go back to my homework at the next commercial, he thought, stifling a yawn. He never made it to the next commercial- he was asleep five minutes later. ~~~~~~ Kayen Wu drew her long, slim legs up to her chest, resting her head back against the wall and looking out the large bay window. She had a mug held carefully between her hands- it was a cup of dutch hot cocoa, something her dad had started buying her when she was 13 and a recurring remedy for insomnia. She sighed and closed her eyes, finishing the mug off and setting it on the table next to the window. She crossed her arms and settled into the nook, suddenly feeling exhausted. Within seconds the young girl had fallen asleep, curled up in the window seat. ~~~~~~ When Sunny woke up, he had the worst headache in the world. He stood up and looked around him, trying to figure out where exactly he was. He was outside in a clearing of some kind, a forest surrounding him on all sides. He could see a mountain looming off in the distance, but nothing else. Maybe it's a dream.... he thought. He turned when he heard something crash through the brush, seeing a young girl trip over something and fall through the bushes and into the clearing. She was obviously Korean, a very small, thin young woman. "Gwaenchanh-ayo," he asked, concerned. She nodded, standing up and brushing the dirt from her clothes. "Jaljinaeyo," she responded carefully, her voice soft. "And I speak english. Just thought I'd let you know." "Oh," he said, blushing a little. "Sorry, I didn't want to- um, anyways, do you live here?" "No," she said, checking her back for anything clinging to her. "This isn't exactly the ideal place for living. Not without any houses, I mean." "So, you're not from around here," he asked, surprised. She looked up at him, one eyebrow delicately arched. "I just said that," she said flatly. "You aren't either?" "Nope." "So.... this isn't a dream?" He breathed a sigh of relief as a smile spread across his face, glad he wasn't the only one asking that question. "I'm not exactly sure yet, but if we're both here then I'm guessing its not. I mean, we've never met before, so how would we be dreaming about each other? Oh, I'm Sunny, be the way," he said, holding out a hand to her. "Kayen," she replied, taking his hand for a brief moment. "I have a way of seeing if its a dream or not, but I couldn't test it on myself." He looked at her curiously, his head tilting slowly to the side. "Come here," she said, motioning for him to come closer. He stepped up to her, wondering what she had in mind. She looked up at him for a second, then reached out and pinched his arm. "Ow," he cried, sounding startled. "What was that for?" "Well, they say that if you pinch yourself and it hurts, then it isn't a dream," she explained, as he rubbed his arm. "Obviously, this isn't a dream." "And you couldn't test that on yourself?" "No. I couldn't bring myself to cause myself pain." Sunny stared at her for a second, a bemused look on his face. "We should probably try and find our way out of here," she said, peering at him as if checking to see if he was okay. "It would be a good idea to try and get a feel for where we are." "Lead the way," he said, gesturing with one hand as he continued to rub his arm. She did just that, stepping over a fallen tree and pushing aside a few branches. He followed her, amused- he had no idea what he was getting himself into, but he could tell it would be interesting. I wonder what's gonna happen to my trig homework, he thought wryly, following her through the forest. [[Wow, long post is long  sorry, the next one won't be as ridiculous, promise. Oh, by the way: Sunny asked Kayen if she was okay. Kayen told him she was fine.]] |
She continued to watch them, not feeling the need to make herself known yet. From what she got from the situation they also didn't belong here. Meaning, somehow they had all been transported here. Since it had been when she was sleeping she would assume for now it was the same for them. Silently she turned away and began to make her way back to where she originated. It was starting to get dark now and she would need to make shelter and find some food before night fully set upon them. She wasn't sure how well those kids could take car of themselves, but it was none of her business. What she needed to do was get back to Amsterdam so she could finish her mission. Otherwise there would be some dire consequences from her superiors.

There was a loud rustle close by. Then all was quiet. Lynne decided that maybe she was imagining the footsteps. Maybe it was just an animal that had made the loud rustle. She stepped out and brushed off her clothes. There was mud on her white skirt. Oh well- I guess i'll wash it when I get ho- But then Lynne realised there might not be a getting home. Maybe she would be stuck in this strange dream forever.
Lynne walked over to the spot where she had last heard the rustle. And there was a girl, holding a long and beautiful sword. It was at the ready. Lynne let out a shrill scream. Were there people out there trying to kill her? Then the girl looked at her with her dark, brown eyes. |
Kail felt an uncomfortable scratching on his back. He opened his eyes and saw a bright blue sky. Suddenly, he felt very disoriented and was quick to realize why. He was falling. However, that feeling didn't last long. He immediately slammed into a rock and then slid to the ground, unconscious. When he came to, his vision was blurry and he felt terrible. He reached up, rubbed his eyes, and, when he withdrew his hands, saw lots of red, sticky goo. It took him several seconds to realize what it was. 'Hehe... you can feel pain in dreams... can't you?' Kail sat there for moment, staring at his bloody hands, willing himself to wake up... Nothing happened. Eventually, he gave up on the prospect that it was a dream. He knew you couldn't feel pain in dreams anyway. Kail ripped off part of his jacket, which was already badly damaged, and tied it around his head as best he could in his condition. 'Hehe, I must look like I was in a fight... and lost.' He stood up and staggered a bit, the world spinning around him. He briefly saw the rock he had landed on under the tree he must have fallen off of. 'What was I doing in a tree? What am I doing here? Where is here?' The land scape seemed to tip a little and he almost lost his balance. 'This is bad, I'd better get some help or else who knows what will happen?' He started staggering through the forest in search of people. 'I hope I don't scare off the first person I meet. I already looked strange enough with silver hair and red eyes but now...' His world tipped again and he continued to stumble through the forest.
|
Kayen and Sunny made their way through the forest, the smaller girl slipping through the trees with ease while Sunny, being much taller, was left struggling to push through. "Hey, wait, can we take a break," he finally asked, bending over and resting his hands on his knees as he tried to regain his breathe. She stopped and turned to look back at him, her face blank. "I mean, I'm all for trekking through the forest, but its like fighting against a waterfall. Isn't there a path?" "If there was, we'd be on it," she said. "I guess a break would be good." She didn't sit, though; while Sunny found a tree stump and plopped his butt down, she wandered around where they were. Sunny watched her curiously; certainly an interesting girl. "Naega yeogie but-eoiss-eo mid-eul su eobs-eo," she murmured to herself in Korean. It was an old habit that she'd never been able to shake; while she spoke English rather well, Korean had been her first language, and her mind often worked in Korean when she wasn't talking to someone else. "Honja sup-eseo. Annyeong seulpeum!" "I am right over here, you know," he called out, rather amused at her odd behavior. He figured she was a loner back in the real world. "Geuligo nan wanbyeoghage ihae." It was her turn to blush, and she turned her back to him to hide it. "What are you doing, anyways? Aren't you tired?" "No," she said. "We stopped because of you." "Right," Sunny said with a sheepish smile. "Well, I'm ready to go if you are." "Okay, I think we should head-" she began, and then shut her mouth when she heard a scream. she looked at him for a moment, her eyes widening, then turned and began in the direction that the sound came from. "Whoa, are you crazy," he asked, jumping forward and grabbing her arm to stop her. "Who knows what that was! Someone could be getting murdered." "We should investigate. Maybe someone fell and needs help." "Not with a scream like that." "You're not very brave," she commented. Sunny could have taken offence, but the way she said it told him it was just an observation; she wasn't trying to be mean, or so it seemed. "Come on, we have to help." "I don't think so," he said, not letting go of her arm. "Kayen, this could be suicide!" She gave him an odd look; he shrugged. "I'm not brave, remember? Look, I'm all for being the hero, but there's no telling what that was. We might not even be in our world anymore." She bit her lip, looking back in the direction that the scream had come from. [[Kayen: I can't believe I'm stuck here. In the middle of a forest. Good Grief! Sunny: And I understand you perfectly.]] |
Resa froze and stared at the newcomer. Realizing this girl was not going to attck her, Resa lowered her sword and relaxed.
"So there are more humans" she spoke to herself, then looking at the girl she said "Hi, I'm Resa, do you know where we are by chance? I've seen three others so far but none of them know where we are... or how we got here." |
The girl was talking to her. Actually TALKING to her. First Resa had tried to kill Lynne, and now she was acting as if they were friends.
"We're... we're in a dream, right? I mean... I was in bed... and now I'm here, so it has to be a dream!" She said, her voice rising. "Oh and hey, I'm Lynne," She added, forgetting to introduce herself. |
"I don't know, I've never had a dream so realistic. Besides I don't quite think I'd realize I'm dreaming during a dream" Resa replied, "or at least I haven't before..." Noticing Lynne seemed a little nervous, Resa added, "oh I'm sorry if I scared you at first, I wasn't sure if you might have been something else. We don't know how dangerous wildlife might be here, like if there's lions or tigers or something worse"
|
"I suppose so... Maybe we passed out and someone took us here?" Lynne was desperate for ideas. Magic didn't exsit....did it? So how did they get here?
Lynne jumped. "Lions.. and tigers?" She shivered. Then she forced herself to be calm. Okay, you said there were other people in this place. We should make a camp with them or something. If there ARE dangerous animals in here, it would be easier if we were all there to fight." She didn't add that she had no idea how to use a sword, a bow an arrow, or any other weapon. |
"I don't know, what's the last thing you remember before you were here? I know I was heading to bed and going to sleep then woke up here." Resa replied, now her whole body was relaxed as though she was talking to an old friend. It didn't seem dangerous anymore. "Yeah, here I'll take you to where the others are, if they haven't moved on. We need to get above the trees to look around and see what our surroundings are." Resa turned towards the direction she had come and began walking, looking around as she went. It was starting to get dark and they needed some sort of camp before all the light was gone.
|
Kail broke through some brush and saw two people. By now, his vision was so dark and blurry, he wasn't entirely sure he was seeing people. In his confused state, he tried to simultaneously intimidate and prepare to fight the them. Seeing as how he used two completely different stances for the two, it didn't quite work out. He stared intently at the two with his bright red eyes, trying desperately to actually see them. 'In my current state, I wonder if I even look human anymore...' The bangs of his silver hair were dyed a slight red and his hands still had blood on them. After standing for what felt like minutes, though was only a few seconds, he spoke. "Help... me...?"
|
Kayen and Sunny had been arguing still when the boy broke through the brush, startling them both. "Oh, geez," Sunny said, instantly concerned. "Come on," Kayen said, taking his arm and heading over to the boy. "Here, let's sit you down," she said, taking the boys arm and slipping it over her shoulders. "I got it, Kayen," Sunny said quickly, taking the boy. The girl was easily dwarfed by him (At Kayen's size, she was easily dwarfed by anyone) and would have had trouble getting him anywhere. He led him over to the tree stump while Kayen looked around for something to treat his wounds. "Okay, I have no idea how this works," Sunny said, kneeling down next to him. "Um, what's your name? Can you tell me how you got here? How many fingers am I holding up," he asked, holding up four fingers. "Sunny, you're going too fast," Kayen said, getting frustrated. They were in the middle of a forest, how was she supposed to find anything for treating wounds? She wasn't exactly a cub scout. "Start with his name and work up from there." She knew they needed to make sure that he didn't have a concussion, but she didn't know how to go about it. Ooh, she knew she should have gone to Med school. "Okay, can you remember your name? I'm Sunny," he said, introducing himself. "And that's my.... friend, Kayen. We're going to try and help you." |
Lynne followed Resa through the forest. She noticed the sky turning a bright orange color. The sun was setting... Soon they wouldn't be able to see in the dark.
"Yeah, let's hurry up." Lynne said, hurrying to catch up. |
