L didnt turn and run just yet, she watched to make sure her family was at a safe distance or hidding. Her idea was simple, draw the attention of the cops to her. The car stopped and two men in blue uniforms stepped out "freeze!" they ordered. "How do you guys feel about a quick game of hide and seek?" L grinned, poking her tongue out then turning and running down the driveway of a nearby house towards its backyard.

Dorian ran behind Serenity as the cops came after them, but they only managed to see Elle. He looked back Seren and said, "You'll be okay by yourself, won't you? Ah damn it, wait with Jack. I'll be back." He ran at full speed to catch up with Elleot or the police at this rate. Once the barn came into sight, he was in grabbing distance of one of the cops and reached for his collar. The officer let out a strangled yelp and Dorian chopped the man on the side of his neck and knocked him out.

Her silver eyes darted around in the darkness looking for a hiding spot, or at least something to put some distance between her and the cops. She quickly turned her to see if they did take the bait, Yes indeed. Two silhouettes were closing in on her. It was this moment of distraction mixed with adrenaline and fear which proved stupid on Elleots part, Next thing she new she was tumbling onto the ground... "Ouch" She spoke sharply, but quickly pulling at her clothing to find her pocket knife, Her only defense.

Jack watched as the police ran past and as DJ ran after them. he relaxed a bit and stretched. hearing Serenity ask him a question, which she ought to know the answer to, he turned towards her.
"Has it really been that long since i've seen you last? i've been running away from foster paretns for several years now," he answered.
he then looked around the corner to make sure no other cops were there and he looked at the girl. "Well? are you coming? we should get to the meeting spot. the others will get there soon."

Jack ran off in the other direction, away from the were elle and the cops went. he knew the entire area like the back of his hands and was able to get to the place they needed to go from anywhere. he took the girl through some backyards and then some woods. they eventually got to the railroad tracks.

Dorian looked up in time to see Elleot on the ground and he began to run again, but suddenly stopped. He didn't know what it was, but he thought that maybe he should wait for a moment. Fighting off this feeling, the boy pulled out his box cutter and slashed the officer across the back of his legs until they gave way, which didn't take long. Running past the fallen man, Dorian took hold of Elle's hand and took off until they were out of sight of his victims. DJ was out of breath and muttered, "Are you okay .. L?" His heart raced at speeds he didn't think possible.

It took a few moments for eveything to sink in, As he made contact with her hand pulling her to her feet her heart almost skipped a beat before she realized it was Dorian. Stumbling to keep his same pace she scrambled after him. "...Im fine I guess" She called, Trying to catch her breath. "I don't like being the damsel in destress... " She slightly joked, taking a quick glance behind her. "...I owe you one..."'

"they'll find their way. if they're not here by sunrise, we'll just have to bust them out of jail. no worries. ok?" Jack re-assured her. he sat down on the tracks waiting. the air was cool and it smelt of pin trees.

Dorian laughed as he wheezed for air. "Yeah, I know how you feel," he said with a try for humor, "But you really don't owe me anything. I'm just happy that you're safe Elle." He dropped onto the ground and breathed heavily until he regained his air supply. Gazing up at Elleot, DJ smiled at her and stood up. "I think we should get moving before Jack and the others try to do something to 'rescue us'," he said laughing at the thought of their friends running wild.

"why should i be mean? as long as you're not trying to kill me, i have no reason to be," he answered. he sat still, looking into the dark forest that surrounded them.

Once the girl put her head on his lap, Jack stood up. "whoa!!! I know we're friends and all but that's too close!" Jack was never one for comforting others. he basically just told them to suck it up and be a man.

Jack sighed and pulled out a needle from his wrist band. he bent down and stuck it into her neck, letting her mind focus on happy things instead of sad ones. then he sat back down, a little ways away from her, waiting for their friends.

Elle bent over, resting her hands just above her knees and coughed. She turned slightly red in the face although the darkness surely hid it from sight. Her knees almost buckled as a louder laugh escaped from her pale pink lips "...Imagine that" Straightening her body back up she smiled in return. "I guess we continue this way...?"
