Two ordinary girl teens who coincidentally happen to be best friends and love tennis. Better than the average girls, these girls are looking to sharpen there tennis skills further this summer. The two girls happen to come across an ad in the newspaper that the famous camp Seigaku is accepting tennis players for the summer. Excited the two girls rush over there only to be rejected, angry but not disheartened they make a plan to sneak in as boys. As they take on their new identities they'll watch there summer take off with a blast.

Ayame, sigh some as she walked up to figure out where she would be staying in the camp, and with who. Honestly what was she thinking, she was going to be surrounded by boys, have to share a room with a boy, eventually she was bound to be found out. All well, she only needed them to think she was a boy, long enough for her to impress them, and let them stay, once they found out she was a girl. She read over the lists, of the dorm rooms, the numbers and who you would be staying with, in till she spotted her name. She was hoping, it wouldn't be someone scary or anything like that. Once she spotted her Room number, she made her way towards it. They didn't have anything to really do today, besides finding your dorms and what not, at least today would hopefully go by smoothly. She wasn't looking forward to having to take showers, and what, where the risk of being found out would be at it's highest point.

Tezuka, waited some in till the crowd had cleared some before he walked over to the list and figured out where and with who he would be staying with. He was a little disappointed it wasn't someone from his own school, that he was used to being around but he didn't let that show on his face. He wasn't sure how he felt about other students being allowed in, although it did allow for them to face people they weren't used to, and allow them to face new moves so it probably was better off this way. They watched each other, play matches, practiced against each other, and played real ranking matches with each other, so facing new rivals would improve and only make them stronger. It seemed like there were a lot of people who were here to, which just meant greater challenges to over come.

Chiyoko was nervous. She was late, she saw a crowd around a wall holding onto her hat she pushed her way through. She put one delicate finger onto the list and checked it, she let out a disappointed sigh when she saw she wasn't rooming with Ayame. They had been friends for as long as she could remember, they were great doubles partners and covered each other weak points. She made her way to the room she was assigned too, the girls golden eyes shining with excitement as she took a deep breath and entered her room.

Fuji waited patiently till the crowd was cleared, the 3rd year elite tennis player made his way slowly to the board and took a glance at which room he was residing in. His piercing blue eyes opened a bit for a moment and then closed, he made his way to the room with out a word to any of the new kids. He opened the door and saw a guy there, new of course giving him a smile he extended his hand forward. "I'm Fuji Shusuke" he said with a simple nod to the boy, he looked about his age.

Ayame turned and looked at the boy when she heard him walk in, he didn’t look scary, and in fact he looked pretty nice, which worked out well for her. She returned his smile with one of her own, and reached out and took his hand. “Yuki Shuurin, nice to meet you” She said. She had almost let it slip, and said Ayame, she would have to make sure she thought about that every time she was required to give her name. Not to mention she had to make sure she remembered to answer to Yuki, it was an odd feeling being called someone other then what you had gone by for years.

Tezuka entered the room shortly after, his roommate. He walked over to her/him some and held out a hand to her/him “Tezuka Kunimitsu, it’s nice to meet you” He said. Hopefully they would be able to get along, he really didn’t want to have to spend the whole time in summer camp with some stranger he couldn’t get along with. It would have been so much better if he had been placed with someone like Fuji, or Kikimaru, or Oishi, who knew how he was and could put up with his almost always emotionless attitude.

Chiyoko gaped at her room mate, a blush concealing over her face. She felt the heat rise in her cheeks, she was panicking inside she quickly pulled the rim of her hat over her face and took his hand lightly. "I..I'm Shu Tadou" she said bowing her head. Chiyoko gave an innocent little cough and straightened her face, only traces of pink in her cheek. She flipped her cap backwards and smiled awkwardly at him, 'where's Ayame when you need her' Chiyoko thought desperately. She recognized who he was, he was Tezuka the captain of the tennis team. She was a huge fan of his.

Fuji smiled at Yuki, "by the looks of it I'm guessing you're new to this camp right?" he said laughing a bit. Fuji's attitude was easy going and relaxed, he loved to meet new people and try spicy food. He looked at both the beds, they seemed untouched. "Do you want the bed closer to the window or door?" he asked giving Yuki the first choice. Fuji wondered if practice schedules would be the same as last year.

“Yeah” She said. This wasn’t going to be nearly as easy as she had thought, she had never been a girly girl, but answering to a guy’s name, and acting like a guy was going to give her some problems in till she got used to it. “It doesn’t matter to me, you can choose” She said. It really didn’t matter to her, then again, if she needed to sneak out, it would probably be best to be by the bed room door, but either way she was going to have some trouble.

“Well it’s a pleasure to meet you” He said as he took his hand away from her/him once the hand shake was over. He looked around the room, it didn’t seem like she had set up to sleep anywhere, so he wasn’t really sure which bed to take “What bed are you going to use?” He asked. At least, she seemed pretty nice, and little strange, but meeting new people were probably a good thing for him. After all outside of his own tennis team and the ones they played matches against he didn’t know many people.

"Pleasure to meet you too" she said with a small laugh. "I..if you don't mind can I please have the door side bed, I..sleep..walk sometimes..." Chiyoko said awkwardly. "Oh would you by any chance know when we'll be getting our time tables for our practices and games or is there some other way they notify us." she asked him shyly. She'd come here with out getting the chance to research about how Seigaku worked.

Fuji shrugged, "I like the window side better, only if its okay with you of course other wise I can take the door side with out any problem" he said with a nod. "So which school are you from?" Fuji asked Yuki raising an eyebrow. He was sure he had seen him some where before but he just couldn't put his finger down on it.

“That’s fine with me” She said. Honestly that worked out better for her, if she needed to sneak out the door was closer to her, and she would hopefully manage to get out without him noticing or waking up. She was kind of glad that if she couldn’t be with Chiyoko she got stuck with someone like him, who seemed pretty gentlemen in nature and pretty nice. “School?” She asked seemingly thinking about it for a moment, did she tell him the truth or lie? Well it’s not like he could go and research him to make sure he was actually a student and find out her secret “I’m from Aichi International“ She said

Tezuka looked at her and nodded “That’s fine with me” He said. What bed he slept on made no difference to him as long as he had a bed to sleep on. If he didn’t have somewhere to sleep that would be a bit of a problem, since he wouldn’t get much rest and would end up being tired all day. “We’ll get written schedules, and there will be ones posted up on the bulletin boards” He said. He himself couldn’t wait for the schedules to come around, and everything to be worked out, he wanted to know who he would get a chance to play against.

Chiyoko bowed her head again, "thank you so much, that clears up my confusion" she said with a giggle, she instantly shut up when she realized how girly she sounded with a giggle. She turned the giggle into a vigorous cough, "Allergies" she said nervously staring at Tezuka. She walked over to her bed and pulled her side bag onto it, just as she was about to unpack she shut her suitcase suddenly. She had girl clothes and lingeries in there 'Oh my god! What am I going to do now?!' she panicked. Instead of unpacking her clothes she unpacked her racket. It was a beautiful racket, black and blue, not to heavy and not to long either.

Eiji nodded as she mentioned the schools name, he had heard of it. There were many talented sportsmen and women from that school, that school had always been their biggest competition. "Now if you don't mind I'll take my leave, I need to meet up with the Captain to do some planning." he said bowing his head to Yuki as he walked out.

Ayame nodded “Have fun” She said as she watched him leave. She stood there for a moment, before she left the dorm room herself, time to go find Chiyoko. When she had checked for her room number before, she made sure to remember hers as well so she could meet up with her later. She sighed as she wondered down the hallway, it seemed like everywhere she looked there was another guy, there was like an endless supply of them, she was seriously going to have to be careful. Once she reached the dorm she knocked on the door and waited for an answer.

Tezuka looked at her, but didn’t say anything; he had met a lot stranger people then men who ‘giggled’. Like Shinji who talked to himself, among others, there were actually quite a few strange tennis players out there “I understand” he said, when she mentioned having allergies although that was a weird symptom, who was he to question. “I have things to go do, I’ll see you later” He said as he exited the room and headed down the hallway to find Fuji and any of the others. He needed to talk to them, this year was going to be pretty hard for them, they had to prove they were the best.

Chiyoko nodded, "alright see you around!" she said with a wave. She almost melted when he said "I'll see you later", Chiyoko could be a bit boy crazy at times. She breathed a sigh of relief after he left, she almost instantly threw off the hat on her head. The teen girl shook her hair out from underneath the wig, that thing was itchy and it was driving her crazy! Her face was horrified as she heard a knock on the door, she peeped out through the eye hole and opened it when she saw it was Ayame. She pulled the girl in, "AYAME!" she said laughing as she hugged her friend. "You're alive! We're here! I can't believe it!" she said squeaking.

Fuji was lucky just as he was walking out of his room and down the hall he saw Tezuka. "Yo! Tezuka!" he said raising his arms up and waving them. He walked over to the team captain. "So what are the plans for this year?" he said grinning as he slapped him on the back. It was great to see his friends during the summer.

Ayame laughed some at her reaction when she opened the door “Shhh, remember its Yuki” She said. She really didn’t want the guys to think she was some sort of odd cross dresser, well a guy who pretended to be a girl anyway. There was a good reason for her cross-dressing at the moment, a very good one indeed. “Why wouldn’t I be alive?” She asked. The worst that could happen was, she would be found out and that wouldn’t be too bad, they wouldn’t kill her, they would just kick her out which would probably be worth then death. “This isn’t going to be as easy as I thought, I think eventually something’s going to happen, and there going to find out” She said with a sigh

Tezuka turned and looked at Fuji “Ah I was just looking for you” He said. “I don’t know, but this year is going to be a lot harder, with everyone else, no idea what to expect, we can’t get careless” He said. They couldn’t afford to fool around, they needed to be as serious as they were over the school year when they had important matches to worry about.

Chiyoko flushed, "Oh yeah, sorry Yuki" she said nervously. She smiled, "well you never know..its a bunch of guys." she told Ayame shrugging. Chiyoko flopped down on the bed, face first she lay there unmoving thinking about what would happen if they did get caught she sighed, frankly she didn't want to think about it. "Our biggest problem is going to be showering, I mean what if they catch us while we're coming out of the shower!" she said whining a bit.

Fuji nodded, "Yeah there are some kids here from Aichi International, I heard they're really really good this year. I also heard the doubles are pretty tough competition too." he said with a little frown. But no matter that meant they would only have to work harder, and they were already used to that. Fuji stretched out his body, he wondered when they were going to get their schedules.

Ayame laughed a bit “It’s fine, it takes some getting used to, I know” She said. It was hard to get used to calling someone by a different name, especially when you had known them for so long. “I don’t think they would kill me” She said. Them killing her was the last thing she ever thought would happen, they may be guys but they weren’t that violent, were they? “Well, we’ll just have to figure that one out, I’m guessing our best bet is to go later at night” She said. Once everyone was asleep, they could shower then.

“Huum” He said. He had heard the same thing, maybe opening up the camp to other schools was indeed a good thing, they had never had a match against them before, and it might prove to help them. After all the school was getting talked about a lot the past few weeks. “Well, I suppose we’ll just have to watch our backs, and make sure we don’t get careless” He said and glanced at Fuji “I think, this is going to be pretty competitive this year” He said

Chiyoko nodded, "yeah I guess" she said softly. She sighed, "Its going to be hard to keep up with everything, I just hope they won't be too mad if they find out the truth. Hey! But you know what the good part is? Since we registered as a double together we're going to be with instead of against!" Chiyoko was all excited again.

Fuji nodded, "yeah its definetly going to be hard. But we've made it through all of these years on top and we can do it again. Just need to practice harder thats all" he said with a determined expression on his face and a single nod. Fuji sighed, he was getting impatient. He wanted their time tables so they could start already, he hoped they would have it later by tonight.

“When is anything ever easy?” She asked. She knew pulling this off was going to be hard from be beginning she just had no idea how hard, or that there would be this many guys around. “Well hopefully we won’t have to find out” She said. She didn’t want anyone to find out there secret, although it would’ve probably didn’t them some good to tell there roommates, but that would be a huge risk. “Huum, that doesn’t mean we won’t be placed into any single matches” She said

“Says the guy who never loses” He said. True practice did make perfect and all the practice they had done had only made them better, and this would only make them better, just like everything else “Well hopefully, we’ll know who were going up against soon” He said. He really just wanted tomorrow to come so they could start with the matches.

"That is true, especially with boys around" Chiyoko said giggling a little again. "Well, what ever happens we're here to play and become better than we already are, so even if we get caught we'll still have improved in our skills." she said with a firm nod. "I can't wait for tomorrow! We actually get to go head to head against some of the greatest players!" Chiyoko said rolling around in her bed. Chiyoko sat up and nodded, "thats true, but atleast we're going to be together for something." she said with relief.

Fuji shook his head laughing, "You don't exactly ever loose either, so you have no right to say that to me, you're probably better than me you are the captain after all." Fuji said with a small grin. He nodded, he was dying to get onto the court just like every other tennis player in this camp. "You think we'll have our schedules by dinner tonight?" Fuji asked opening his eyes slightly.

“Well, boys make it harder for girls to get recognized in sports” She said with a soft smile. It wasn’t the guys fault, it was more of societies viewing on the subject “That’s true, plus as long as we don’t get found out today, we’ll be able to leave saying we did what we came for, which was to play against the best” She said. She was anxious for tomorrow now, she just wanted to get into the first match, and play tennis, before it was too late for them to play. “Yeah, plus were better when were together” She said. They evened each other out, all players both had different weaknesses and strengths and together they were almost perfect.


“Fine you caught me there” He said. He really didn’t lose any matches, but Fuji was the one who was known as the tennis genius and not him “Being the captain doesn’t always mean you’re the strongest member of the team” He said. Plus eventually he knew Ryoma would pass him and be the stronger player, if he wasn’t already. Being captain just meant you knew how to inspire your teammates and be a good leader “Yeah probably, we did last year and I doubt things will have changed that much, speaking of dinner isn’t it almost time for dinner?” He asked

Chiyoko nodded as she listened to Ayame. "But we can do this Aya! We're good enough to take them on!" Chiyoko was rolling around on the bed as she thought about actually winning the title! That would be something if either Ayame or Chiyoko herself won it, she would love to see the looks on peoples faces. "I just wish they were a bit more fair, some girls are equally as good as boys in sports if not better" she said pouting. She giggled, "You mean we're pretty much perfect together! We complete each others weaknesses." she said with a huge grin on her face.

Fuji grinned, "you are way too modest Tezuka, your a great player and don't give yourself enough credit!" the boy said shaking his head. 'Just like Tezuka' he thought to himself. "Yeah they should be ringing the dinner bell soon, I'm starved. I hope they have something spicy to eat!" he said with a grin. Fuji loved himself some spicy food, he could handle as much spice as you could give him, this was something his friends found strange about him.

“I know we are, we just have to be extremely careful” She said. She knew they were good enough to take them on, probably even beat some of them; they just had to be pretty careful about it. “Well eventually they will be fairer” She said with a smile. Eventually they would realize how strong girls were in tennis, it wasn’t that they didn’t already it was just most girl tennis teams at schools were really weak, and all the good girls were already pretty famous. “I know, I know, anyway I think it’s almost dinner time, why don’t we head down there?” She asked

“When you allow yourself to think you are better than others, is when you start making the most mistakes” He said. He didn’t need Fuji to tell him, he was good he knew that but there was always the risk of there being a better player out there “Don’t you ever eat normal food, Fuji?” He asked. Fuji was the only one out them that could stand up to Inui’s strange drinks, he certainly had weird taste in food and drinks “I would rather not eat something that could possibly kill me” he said. Although he didn’t mind spicy food it wasn’t soso bad. “So how’s your roommate?” He asked

Chiyoko giggled nodding, "Careful is something I need to work on." the girl said with a small smile. She could be extremely klutzy, and sometimes she had no control over her mouth when she was excited. She sat up straight on the bed when Ayame mentioned food, she rubbed her stomach. "Yeah lets get going! I'm nearly starved" she said smiling. Chiyoko grabbed the wig and ran to the bathroom checking if all her natural hair was tucked neatly underneath or not, then she put the hat on backwards. "This feels so weird" she said looking at Ayame. "Ready to go Yuki?" Chiyoko said enthusiastically.

Fuji nodded, "that is true." he said listening to Tezuka as they walked to the dinner hall. He laughed at Tezuka's comment, "What do you mean? It is normal, at least for me" he told Tezuka with a small grin. "Its not my fault if I like spicy food, plus Inui's drinks aren't that bad, once you get immune to them, plus they're a different flavour all the time!" he said shaking his head. "My room mate.." he said thinking for a moment. "He's okay I guess, kinda quiet. Seems nice, don't really know him much but hes from Aichi International. I heard they have really strong players this year. Think hes one of them?" Fuji said with a frown. "How about your room mate hows he?" he asked Tezuka grinning.

Ayame laughed some, she knew all too well how she wasn’t the best at being careful “Well, just take the careful-ness you have on the tennis court and use it now” She said. Caution was something they were going to need to use this summer, and a lot of it, it would be bad if they were found out. “Well nearly starved isn’t starved so your good for now” She said with a laugh as she watched her get ready “Yes I’m ready” She said and walked over and opened the dorm door and walked out into the hall ways “So how do you think things will be with your room mate?” She asked

“That’s how it usually works, when you let yourself get a big head, you often mess up more and fail at everything” He said. He wasn’t going to be one of those people who ruined his career because it got an ego. “Your version of normal, is a very strange one” He said with a small laugh “I still haven’t gotten over that one time I accidently tried one of his drinks, and then there was the time Momo fainted from drinking one, I think I’ll skip them” He said with a laugh “Well that’s good, I’m guessing so, only serious tennis players come to camp for it over the summer, those who don’t care wouldn’t give away their summer for it” He said “He seems nice, little strange though” He said

Chiyoko nodded, "Yeah. I have to be super careful and make everything I do here count!" she had a determined expression on her face. "Yeah well I'm going to be starved pretty soon if we don't make our way to the dinner hall Yuki!" she tugged her best friends arm impatiently and dragged her half way to the dining hall. "Well, I don't know really. He looks really quiet! Hes kinda cute you know" she said with a small giggle. "Oh! AND I forgot to tell you! Hes the Captain on the tennis team" her voice was a quiet squeak-ish whisper. "How about your roomy? Hows things with him" she asked raising an eyebrow.

"Most of the new kids do that then end up loosing. And they wonder why they lost" he said smiling lightly as she shook his head. Fuji laughed, "Well, it is my version" he said with a nod. Fuji snickered, "You guys are just soft, man up" he said teasingly. He remembered that scene too well, especially Momo's face. They had all had a great laugh about it, except Momo him self. Fuji shrugged, "You barely know the kid give him a chance, you never know maybe you'll become friends" he said laughing as they entered the dining hall upon hearing the bell for dinner ring.

“We both do, it would be a shame to go through all this trouble, just to be careless and mess it up” She said. That was one thing she didn’t want for them to get this fair and for it all to be messed up. “You aren’t going to starve, stop being so over dramatic” She said with a laugh. “Uh-Oh just make sure you don’t express to him that you think he’s cute” She said as she glanced over at her “Be careful, he’s probably extremely smart” She said “Fine, he seems nice enough anyway” She said with a shrug. She didn’t want to get to involved with her roommate or else she might be found out.

“Or they have a parent who’s famous and think there gods greatest gift and are just going to win by default” he said. He hated people like that, sure there were a lot of people with natural talent, but without practice and hard work that natural talent would get you nowhere “I’m more manly then you” He said with a laugh. “Oh come on, what kind of guy giggles and then passes it off as allergies?” He asked as he looked at Fuji

"Yeah I want a chance to play in the finals! And if I'm good enough then win the upcoming tournament!" Chiyoko said as her golden eyes glistened. Chiyoko grinned, "Well, you know thats me dramatic and slightly cute boy crazed, you should have been more careful about picking me as a friend, now you're just stuck with me I guess" she said sticking her tongue out at Ayame. Chiyoko laughed, "I won't don't worry, plus hes kinda too good for me anyways. He probably thinks I'm crazy" she said with a little pout and a shake of her head. "Just nice? Hey who is your room mate anyways? Is he a top player too?" she asked raising a eyebrow. She pulled Ayame into the dining hall impatiently.

Fuji gave a hearty laugh, "I wonder what would happen if Ryoma was like that, hes a strong player he can definetly be something when he puts his heart and head into the game" he said with a small nod. Oh yes, he remembered Ryoma. He was a talented player, still young. It was a bit scary to think how good he would be when he got older because he was already better than several players his age. Fuji made a face, "He passed off giggles as an allergy? Maybe hes a but loose in the head, be careful Tezuka!" he said with a mock threat in his voice as they proceeded to the line in the dinner hall.
