"Your going to die" "No I'm not!"
Persephonie lived the perfect life. Her family loved her, she had the perfect social life and a thousand friends. Even her boyfriend was perfect...
When she was 18 years old, her whole life came crashing down. Her father had been involved in some bad buisness and her mother and sister had been murdered. When the killer came after her, Sephy had to run away and fine life in a distant forest. The leader of one of the most secret clans found her for dead, she had no choice but to become a fighter.
With the world against her, and a death warrent by her familie's name, Sephy had to become someone else. A warrior. Fighting for her place in a clan that wont accept her and fighting against the world outside the forrest, she has her work cut out for her. Will she finally find a place she can be happy? Will she find the people who killed her parents? Will she ever clear her name?
Who knows?
You can choose who you want to be. You can either be a member of the clan that found Sephy, and fight against the upcoming modern day world. They call themselves the resistance, and will never succomb to the outside world.
You can be one of the outsiders, a person in the outside world living their life like nothing ever happened. Taking chances, and being subject to the modern day treatment of the rediculously power crazy government.
Or you can be one of the people plotting to kill Sephy and her father. The Assasins populate 1/4 of the city outside the forest, and plan to tortue and kill Sephy and the rest of her family, all because of her father.

[Resistance]
What rank are you in the clan?: Archer, I suppose.
Bio: I didn't live my whole life here, in the forest. But now it is my home, and I find it hard to remember life before the Resistance found me. I must have been around six or seven, I can't really remember. I was living in the streets with my brother and father. Life wasn't great, but we got along with food most nights. Even then, my talent was clearly archery. I took place in archer competitions, and when I won, I came home with a small sum of money. My father was proud, encouraging me to do my best and to be proud of who I was. My brother- well, he thought life was unfair. He knew there was no way of getting rich, of getting a house and living comfortably. He was always depressed, he never smiled. Mother died when he was 4, and I think that left a him in permenant shock.
He commited suicide, and my father found work. We barely talked anymore, just got along with our lives. One morning, I was wandering around the forest, picking mushrooms to sell at the market. Suddenly I found myself surrounded by these people, all carrying a weapon. They took me in, and since then I have trained as an archer for the resistance. I hate the world outside, how they let us go on and almost starve at times without helping at all. I will do anything to overcome the modern world.
Talents: Archery, Stealth.
Weapon: Bow and Arrow, Short Hunting Knife

Bio: I was born inside the clan itself, but I have no father. My mother often ignores me and I think she is ashamed to have a daughter like me, but she acts like my sister is a goddess. My older brother has long left the clan to become an assasin and that is very hard on my family. Especially since Sephy is now considered part of us; I've kept my distance. I think she is a very useful person for our clan, and I even want to be friends with her, but I get butterflies in my stomach whenever I approach her. I remind myself that she is older than I. Although I consider myself much more skilled than her. Not to brag. But of course, I would say that what with having 13 years of training. I was chosen by my mother, whom I hate, by the way, to be an archer. I've always wanted to be skilled in swordplay, but I just can't get it right.
Talents: Archery, Quick thinking
Wepon: bow and arrow (but secretly owns a sword)

[[I need to start! The impatience is driving me mad!! @ [email protected]]]
All her life, there was only one thing Persephonie had known about her father's buisness. It was worldwide and earned him a lot of money. They had lived one of the most luxurious lives, Sephy and her family, with grand balls and fancy dinners, not to mention all the publicity. On Sephy's eighteenth birthday, she had gone out to celebrate with her friend's and boyfriend; a party which her father had organised. When she arrived home, her mother and baby sister were dead... Murdered. Her father had left her a not, explaining, not that he had needed to because moment after reading it, the killers came back to get her. They told her everything, and when one of the Assassins went to kill her, she had escaped with only moments to spare.
Now, sitting alone in a sheltered hut build from tree branches, leaves and straw, Persephonie wondered about her father. She knew he was alive, because he had fled on his private jet. The only thing she was really wondering was how long he would remain alive. The Assasins were everywhere, and one thing was certain... They wanted her father's head on a platter.
The beautiful sword that Sephy had worked to earn rested in its sheath; the hilt sparkling and glistening as the hot sun shone through some of the small cracks in the straw roof. The blade was laced with beautiful blue metal and matched perfectly the clothes she had made for herself when she had become a part of the ancient world clan. She had loved nothing more than practicing fighting on her own at night under the stars. 'Please accept me' she whispered to herself, waiting for the leader of the Resistance to come into her hut.

(( Alright, here I go... xD ))
Emily awoke to the merry sound of birds singing in the morning light. She yawned and stretched, almost faling out of her tree. Emily had been hunting late last night, waiting for a deer or rabbit to scamper by underneath her refuge in the trees. She must have fallen asleep. She was lucky to have strapped herselt to on of the sturdy branches. Now Emily carefully slid out of the buckle and climbed down the tree. Her clanmates would be disappointed with her meager catch, a single field mouse. Oh well, it was pointless to stay and hunt some more Emma was exhausted. She started the long walk back to her hut.
On her way back to the camp, she caught a glimpse of a mother and her child, laughing and talking together. Emily sighed. How she wished she could have her family back, living here in the Resistance. Her knuckles whitened as she thought of those many wealthy people, enjoying their lives without a care in the world for the wellbeing of others.
She noticed a plume of smoke coming from the chimney of the guest hut. Who was the new visitor? Emily wandered over and pulled back the curtains made of fern and vines. A girl, about 17 or 18, sat on the floor, deep in thought.
"Hello," Emily said cautiously to the strange visitor.

[[For a first timer, I must say: Your gooooood ^_^]]
Persephonie had been sitting on the floor when the manmade curtain that cordoned off her doorway was pulled back and the hut was flooded with the bright morning sunshine. 'This is it!' she thought to herself, hoping so desperately that the clan leader would accept her as one of them. She had done a lot to get herself to where she was, and she had done all she could to prover her worthyness...
"Oh!" she remarked, schocked that the clan leader was a woman. When Sephy looked up, she realised that it was not the leader stood in the doorway, but a very young warrior looking girl. She had a beautiful bow and arrow attatched to her back, and so Sephy assumed that she was an archer. "Hello" she smiled, and untied the beautiful black sash that held her sword and sheath to her side. Laying it on the floor, as a sign of peace, Sephy looked closer at the girl. She was so young!
"My name's Persephonie, but you can call me Sephy! What is your?" she asked the young archer, hoping not to scare her and also hoping that, unlike a lot of others in the clan, this girl would actually speak to 'An Outsider'.

(( Thanks. I just re-read my post and found about 15 mistakes in every sentence x3 ))
The outsider stared up at Emily with respect, as if she thought Emily was some high-status member of the resistance. At that moment Emily noticed just how beautiful this girl was. Her blond hair shone gold in the dappled light and her eyes glittered. Her skin looked soft and clear, and she didn't have a spot of dirt on her. Then the girl put aside her sheathed sword. Emma took this gesture as a sign of peace.
"My name's Persephonie, but you can call me Sephy!" Said Sephy with a warm smile on her face. Emily hesitated. She hadn't really planned on having a conversation with this stranger. Ma caught even caught her saying hello to Persephonie, Emily would be in big, big trouble. But she decided to take her chances.
"I'm Emma, Emily actually, but everyone just calls me Emma. Pleased to meet you. Where did you come from? Were you part of the assasins?"
Emily started to get excited. Maybe Persephonie had been an assasin and the Resistance had caught her! But when Emma glanced back at Sephy, it was clear she was not an assasin. She was more like a princess.

Sephy smiled as the girl introduced herself. "It's lovely to meet you to Emma!" she chimed, and then decided to tone her voice down a little. It would probably not be a good idea for the high cheif to catch little Emma in here with her, especially since Sephy was not yet a member of the clan.
When Emma asked where she came from, Sephy smiled weakly and tried to act like she wasnt bothered about anything that had happened to her. "No" she whispered. "I was never an assasin. My father was one of the most wealthy men in the world, but he got into some bad buisness and the Assassins killed my mother and baby sister, and then came after me and my father. I escaped and so did he, but I dont care to see him again. Your high cheif found me, and well..." she trailed off, gesturing to the hut that she was sat in and the beautiful clothes she was wearing. "I'm on trial. To see if I can become a member of your clan" she smiled, hoping that Emma would not flee when she knew that Sephy was still technically an outsider.

Emma saw Sephy's face whiten as she replied. Sephy's family had all died or gone away too... Emily tried briefly to remember what life had been like before. She didn't miss her family that much anymore. She sometimes cried about her father, at night, when no one was around, but she couldnt care less about her mother, who had to die and leave Emily alone in the cold, dark, world. And Jake, well, he was just his own little planet. He didn't care about Emma like a real brother should, and he never had a flicker of hope. Emily's father was the only one true to her.
She snapped back into the future, trying to wipe the dazed look off her face. She noticed Sephy was trembling slightly after having talked about her family. Was it really that bad?
"I'm sorry about your family," Emma mumbled, moved by Sephy's emotions. "My mother died when I was young, and my brother, too. I was captured by the Resistance and never saw my father again."
But this was not true. Some days when Emma was feeling particularly depressed, she would go to the edge of the forest and sit there, concealed in the shadows of the trees. She would watch the few pedestrians that traveled along that part of the city. She would scan the face of each one, trying to see her father. And some days, some days, she saw a passenger with the same little beard, or the same color eyes. But it was pointless. She could barely remember his face, and... He might be dead by now. It hurt to think about it, but it was the truth.
"So you're not alone. I understand your pain." Em smiled encouragingly at Sephy.

Smiling and trying to take in Emma's encouragement, Sephy slowly stopped shaking. However, the fear was there now, and she kept looking around making sure that there was noboy waiting to kill her at any second. "The fact that I lost my family is terrorble. And I will miss my baby sister more than anything in the world, but Im scared becuase the Assassins are still looking for me, and If Im not careful, they will find me and..." Sephy turned her eyes towards the groud, leting Emma figure the rest of the sentence out for herself.
It was horrorble to hear about what had happened to Emma's family. Hearing how they slowly fell apart was so sad, and Sephy could not help but care for Emma. She was so young and so sweet, and yet so alone and with such a trouble past.

((Woot woot a new member!))
Emma realised maybe she had gone too far in this sad subject. It might be the past for her, but Sephy's memories were still fresh. Maybe Persephonie just wanted to forget about the whole affair. Emily still remembered her feelings after being taken in by the resistance. Fear, doubt, guilt, and most of all, the hope that it was all a dream. Maybe Sephy felt that same way.
"Well," Emma said in what she hoped was a steady voice, "Let's go out and have breakfast with the rest of the tribe. I can show you the rest of my family. Well, my adopted family." Emma stood up. "You are allowed out of here, arent you?"

Lianna bowed to the chief. His orders were clear and strict. She knew what happened to those who didn't follow orders... Her gaze fell gracefully to the hanging chamber and shivered slightly. "I understand, sir." She quickly headed over to Sephy's hut, her heart racing. She knew she would have to eventually talk to her but now was too soon. Sephy was extremely skilled and kind and sweet and very brave, but Lianna knew they could never be friends. Not after what her brother did to Sephy's family.
As Lianna approached the hut, her heart stopped completely. She stopped, took a deep breath, and pushed back the curtain. She saw Emma there first, actually talking to the girl. They were both standing up and were about to leave. Lianna's eyes motioned for Emma to leave and Emma quickly excused herself and left. Now they were alone. Lianna took a deep breath and said, "The chief wishes to see you." Sephy looked excited. "Immediately." She added. And together they walked to the hands of doom.

When Emma offered her breakfast, Sephy had to decline, which she felt horrorble for. "I'm not allowed out of the hut until the cheif calls for me" she said, trying to give Emma a smile, but she was too dissapointed. All morning she had been waiting for the cheif, and still nothing.
Then, coincidence struck and a beautiful girl walked into the hut. She looked afraid and scared, but most of all, nervous. Sephy recognised her, but she had no idea hwrw from. She might have seen her the night before on her arrival to the tribe. When she was called out of the room, Sephy stood and walked slowly behind the pretty girl that had been sent for her.
Turning, she smiled at Emma and said "Bye! I'll meet your family later, I promise" and tried to give a reassuring smile.

Lianna saw Sephy say good-bye to Emma and felt a sinking feeling. She wasn't close to anyone in the tribe but her younger sister, and they weren't that close anyway. Seeing Sephy watch her nervous expression, she held her chin up a bit higher and led the girl to the chief.
The air inside was just as cold as usual. The chief looked at Lianna and said in his deep but calm voice, "Thank you my dear. You are excused." Lianna hesitated. Then she bowed and exited the room. She was disappointed and curious. Her mind nagged her and she wanted to know if Sephy would be accepted. Without thinking, she ran back inside the chamber.

Emma stayed in the dark cabin even after Sephy left with Lianna. She bit her lip. Lianna had just seen her talking to Sephy, which was strictly against the rules. Lianna wasn't exactly on good terms with Emma.
A year ago, there had been an archery competition and both Lianna and Emma had entered. They had come close to a tie but in the end Emily cheated and won. No one except for Lianna knew that Emily had cheated. Lianna could have reported Emma to the chief, but that just wasn't the way she worked. So Lianna had held that secret over Emma's head for one year, always threatening to reveal it.
Emma knew that is the cheif found out she had cheated in such a big competition like that, she would surely be hanged. Or at least banished from the Resistance.
Emily envied Lianna for her perfect hair, glistening skin and perfect archery skills. Lianna was cool and collected, always staying calm even when Emily felt like screaming.
"I'm flawed," Emily muttered aloud. "Flawed. I can't keep cool. I'm ugly. My past is so sad and terrible and yet I don't even remember it. I'm-- I'm just... not right." And tears rolled down her cheeks.

((Whoops sorry guys, I had to leave uneexpectedly last night. Well, I guess I should write now...))
Lianna's hands were shaking. She pressed her ear against the giant door and listened. She knew her mother would kill her right now for eavesdropping, not to mention the chief, but she held herself there anyway. The two were talking very quietly, but with her hearing focused hard enough on Sephy's voice, she could tell the outsider had not been accepted. Lianna didn't know what to think of this. She closed her eyes and put herself in Sephy's shoes. To Lianna's surprise, she found a tear slide down her cheek. She rubbed her eyes quickly. The door was opening. Lianna dashed behind a large tree and waited. The door opened and Sephy and the chief walked out. The chief's long hair was tied into a pony-tail that came until the small of his back. Normally it was braided. Lianna forgot what a pony-tail meant. It was a sign of sadness, that was for sure. Sephy looked alright, though. She wasn't crying, for one, and Lianna was ashamed of herself. She would find out soon, though, why.
Later that night, Lianna slid from under her covers, restless. She pulled out her glinting sword sheath and fastened it to her belt. Then she tiptoed to the meadow, the quiet meadow where no one would see her, especially not at this time of day. Lianna slid the sword out of the sheath and stared at its beauty. A priceless weapon, that was true. It's ivory hilt glowed in the dim moonlight. Lianna stared at it, admiring the craftmanship, the sapphire jewel embedded in the hilt, the shining sword itself, as a whole. She stared especially at the knife part, capturing herself reflecting in the sword. It was a sign. Lianna knew she was meant to be a sword fighter, even if her skill lied in archery. Snapping herself out of it, Lianna sliced the air with it, happily, dreamily.
((Dang, that was longer than expected. :P))
----------
((Just a heads up, the decision isn't final, about Sephy being accepted. It's just what Lianna thinks it is. Maybe she wasn't accepted YET. Just an idea. You can do what you want with it, Sephy.))

((Yay! Welcome back Lianna! :D Hope you can stay with us this time!))
Emily tossed and turned in her thin frame bamboo bed. It was such a beautiful night- crickets chirping and the wind still and silent. It reminded her of the nights she spent with her father, admiring the glimmering lights of the city, far off. They had often dreamed of living in such a city, with riches and admirers and power beyond any other. But, alas, it was only a dream, and no more.
After deciding that there was no point lying there any longer, Emma slid out from under her covers and tip-toed outside. She froze. Lianna was standing in the middle of meadow, admiring a beautiful sword with a beautiful blue gem (Emma forgot the name of it) stuck in the hilt. Lianna's long black hair glinted in the moonlight- a full moon, Emma noticed. Mustering up her courage, Emma walked confidently up to Lianna.
"Hello," She whispered, trying not to shock Lianna.

"You can't tell anyone about this. Please. My mother will be very angry at me! You have to keep it a secret." Lianna tensed as Emma hesitated. She knew Emma wouldn't tell anyone; if she did her own secret about the archery competition would be revealed.

As the cheif spoke, Sephy listened. He said that she was not yet ready to take up a place as a warrior in the clan yet. She would need more training. Although, he did welcome her to stay in the tribe as a guest and learn how to use her sword properly, even though in her mind, Sephy was already as skilled as she could be... She guessed it was her fighting technique that needed work.
Later that night, Sephy thought a lot about her mother and baby sister. She had missed tucking the little bundle away into bed while her mother and father enjoyed a glass of expensive wine by the pool. Carrie, her little sister, had only been born 11 months ago, and was still a squirming bundle of happiness... Something her father rarely noticed.
Hearing a hushed scream and then even more hushed voices, Sephy got curious and slipped out of her hut, makind sure her sword was firly ribboned onto her side. Sneaking quietly, Sephy found the sources of the voices, and when she discovered that she had seen both of the girls before, she walked over gracefully. "Hello" She smiled and then noticed the sword that one of the girls was holding. "Emma!" Sephy smiled, trying not to make it obvious that she was staring at the beautiful hilt on the other girls sword. Sephy hugged Emma quickly, hoping she had found a friend in the sweet young girl. "Hi!" she said to the other girl, and then "I guess you probably know my name! But may I ask, whats yours?" and then fiddled with the hilt of her own beautiful sword awaiting an answer.

Emma jumped. Sephy had come up behind her.
"Sephy!" She called, returning the hug. "How did it go? Did he accept you? I know he did!" She squealed excitedly. But the look on Sephy's face told Emma that was not so.
"So.... you didn't get accepted? But, I was sure the chief would let you! What harm would it do?"
She looked down to the ground. Maybe it was her fault that Sephy had not been accepted. Maybe the chief had found Emma talking to Sephy and thought Sephy was a bad influence.
"I'm really, really, really sorry," She whispered. Lianna was staring at Sephy with pity in her eyes. "So where will you go now?" Emma wondered aloud.

Lianna was surprised and irritated at the same time that both of the girls had found her secret meadow. But she didn't show either of those emotions. Instead, she put a fake smile on her face and said, "Sephy! Hi. I am sorry it did not go well with the chief. Oh, I am Lianna, by the way. It is nice to meet you." Lianna offered her hand for a shake. Of course she knew it hadn't gone well with the chief. But if anyone found out that she was eavesdropping on the chief, even a puny intruder like Sephy, she would be in trouble. Big trouble.

"Well- I'm going to bed. I'm sorry about disturbing you, Lianna. I'll go now and leave you two in peace." She tried to smile at Lianna but she was careful about the way she spoke. If Lianna felt like it, she could easily reveal Emily's secret.
"Goodnight." She saluted Lianna and nodded to Sephy. " See you in the morning."
Back in bed, Emma thought about Sephy. The girl was really nice, but the rest of the Resistance might be suspicious if Emily talked to her too much. So, was it worth it? Emily had her own friends, friends that she was happy with. Friends that were loyal and kind, and stayed with Emily through the tough parts. So what was the point of having another friend?
But even as Emily tried to convince herself that Sephy was not worth it, something deep inside her knew that Sephy was special. Something inside her knew that if she befriended Sephy, Emily would get more than just a goodnatured friend from Sephy, there was something else there too. Em just couldnt figure out what it was.
"Oh well," she muttered aloud. "There's no point, i'll be thinking about this all night."
A few minutes later, she was fast asleep.
The morning was still and silent. Emily rolled out of bed with sleepy eyes. The wind was silent. Something's wrong, Emma thought. She peered outside. Everything looked normal. Plumes of smoke were rising out of a few chimneys. A few children ran around the village, chasing each other and hiding behind trees. Everything looked normal. So why could Emily sense that something was wrong?
She narrowed her eyes. It is the silence, she decided. No wind. No birds. All those natural sounds that Emily had become so used to were gone.
She stepped cautiously into the forest, ready to leap away from anything that could appear before her.

Lianna watched Emily go. Her heart beat like thunder in her chest. She was alone with Sephy... or was she? Something was moving in the bushes. A soft rustling. It sounded too big for an animal, so it had to be human. Lianna stood protectively in front of Sephy and got her sword ready to strike. The rustling got louder and louder then- "GET THEM!!" Lianna was a tornado. She sliced through as many as she could but it was no use. There were too many. She looked around. No one was awake to help them. Then she saw him. Paul, her own brother. The assasins! No wonder they waited until she and Sephy were alone. They were after her and Paul knew Lianna wouldn't hurt him. Well he was wrong. The last thing Paul was going to get from her was mercy. He ruined her life. His reputation cast a bad shadow over her family. Lianna stood up straight and faced him. She was no sappy, emotional sister. She was a fighter. And fighters were strict enemies against the assasins. The honorable thing to do would be to fight him. And that she did.
Sadly, she lost. Of course, sword fighting had never been her skill, so she dropped the stupid thing and fought with her bare hands. "Run!" she screamed at Sephy. "Run and don't look back! There are too many. I will handle this." She didn't want to play hero, but that was the only obvious choice. Is she abandoned Sephy, she would be kidnapped and killed. If Lianna stayed, she would be kidnapped, but her brother's heart wasn't as dark as some thought. He couldn't possibly kill his baby sister. Confidently, she faced the wrath of Paul, knowing she could never win.
