Ally skipped down the steps of her brand new home. She smiled eagerly up at her bedroom window on the second floor before scampering down the patio and running into the backyard. It was just so... "Green!" She yelled into the forest that was her back yard. She pulled a few blond hairs away from her face and sat down, smack in the middle of the greenest grass she had ever seen before.

"Enjoying the view, Ally?" Her mother asked from the window by the house. She was wearing her 'Kiss the chef' apron and her hair was tied neatly on the back of her head. "Sure is a big difference from the middle of nowhere, Kansas, isn't it?" She asked, moving outside and sitting next to her daughter.

"Yes, a very very very big difference!" She smiled in awe, not breaking her stare into the trees.

"Yeah well, tomorrow we'll be heading towards the bigger part of the city. Nothing but skyscrapers and really big buildings." Her mother smiled, glad to see Ally so happy.

"Oh, really, mom!?" Ally asked excitedly. She stood up and took one last glance at her new home. "Mom, do you mind if I take a walk?" She asked, pointing towards the forest.

"Sure, Ally. Just be careful and don't go far." She nodded, waving her off to have her fun.

"Thanks, mom!" Ally gave her mother a small hug, then zoomed into the forest humming happily and finding a small trail to follow.

Sakiko123 08-10-2010 03:56 AM

Tauna was sitting upon a tree branch in the forest as she watched the clouds go by in the blue sky. There was a light breeze that blew the trees around, but it didn't bother her as she knew she couldn't fall out of the tree and hurt herself. She'd done that enough a long time ago, but those times just caused miner injuries.

She was so relaxed by that time she didn't even notice there were people nearby. Not even the young girl. That was until she heard the humming. A soft melody that sounded similar to angels. She knew angels who sang like it as she'd been in the 'light' before. But being an earthbound spirit was much more fun than being up there beyond the clouds.

EMoMoChan 08-10-2010 04:09 AM

Ally continued on her way, following the forest's trail and skipping over jagged rocks and thorny bushes. "Oh, its so dangerous here!" She mulled aloud. She stopped by a tree and sat down at its base, deciding it was time for a rest. Her feet were getting tired and her hair was all messed up already. She pulled out her lace ribbon and tied the ribbon on her wrist so she wouldnt have to deal with it. As she ruffled her hair, she continued to look around. "So pretty..." She smiled, deciding she would bring her sketch pad and pencil along with her the next time she came. When she was done with her short break, she stood up again and brushed all of the dirt off of her dress, then continued down the path on her way. A few minutes after she had began walking again, her stomach growled ferociously. "Oh, dear." She frowned, patting her abdomen. "I'm hungry..."

Sakiko123 08-10-2010 04:18 AM

Tauna started to watch the girl now as she sat under the tree near the branch she was sitting on. She noticed something about the girl. Something she never noticed in anyone else passing by before. The young girl had very similar features to herself... It was kind of surprising in a way and she became more curious.

As the girl finished her rest and stood up again, Tauna started to follow her. She was floating above the girl's head rather than right behind her, walking. She overheard the girl being hungry and using ghostly/angel powers, she led the girl to a fruit tree with bushes circling it. An apple tree with many bushes of berries to be precise.

EMoMoChan 08-10-2010 04:45 AM

Ally started to follow an instinct that she couldn't place. When she found herself at a nice looking apple tree with berry bushes surrounding it slightly, she smiled. "Yummy! Lunch!" She giggled, clapping to herself and running over. She picked a nice apple off of the tree and took a nice big munch. She thought she felt a pair of eyes on her, making her look up into the treetops, but when she found nothing, she shrugged it off as 'hunger-mania' and continued chomping on her apple.

Sakiko123 08-10-2010 04:53 AM

Tauna smiled looking downward as she sat on a high branch of the apple tree after seeing the now happy girl chomping on an apple. She was glad to help someone in need at that time. The forest wasn't usually full of fruit trees, but she knew of this place and figured she'd want to share it with someone who could actually enjoy it. Being a spirit, she had no need for it as she couldn't eat anything. Or she could... But usually didn't want to. Not that it would effect her much...

EMoMoChan 08-10-2010 05:00 AM

Again, Ally got the strange feeling that someone was watching her. She stood up, tossing her apple remains by the roots of the original tree and looked up into the canopy of the forest yet again. When she found nothing, she frowned, feeling a bit creepy. She picked a large handful of berries and decided it was time to head back... When she had finished eating the berries, and was almost home, she sighed in relief, starting to feel a bit better. She smiled when the chimney of her house came into view and so, she skipped up the trail, back into her back yard. However, on her last skip out of the 'official' forest, she tripped over a tree stomp and stubbed her big toe. She cried out in pain and sat down, pulling off her shoe and sock to reveal a big toe turning purple. She wiped her tears and carefully put on her sock, laughing at herself for crying over something so simple. She was still in too much pain to stand up and walk to her house, so she instead laid herself out in the grass, and sighed, watching the sky, and picking out shapes in the clouds.

Sakiko123 08-10-2010 05:11 AM

Tauna followed her home, still very interested in this girl. In a friendship way. She was just too bit shy to show herself to her yet, though.
She could feel it, though... Feel that she was giving the girl the creeps. As she neared the house the girl lived in, she was surprised. It was her house. From the past. She looked at it for a bit longer till she heard crying.
The girl had stubbed her toe... It was purple... This worried her as she remembered what it was like to have one. She almost lost that toe...
Tauna didn't realize how close she was now. Almost visible. One look to the right while watching the clouds and the girl would see her.

EMoMoChan 08-10-2010 05:15 AM

Ally spoke aloud all of the shapes that were coming to her as she viewed the cloud shapes. "A bunny!" She giggled, pointing. "A person riding a horse! A fur ball! A heart! A witches broom! A girl! A house! A-" She stopped, and looked back at what she saw to her right. "A... girl." She said, sitting up and facing her head on. "Uhm... Hello..." She said, waving slightly at her, and waving. From what Ally could see, there was nothing off about the girl. She seemed normal.

Sakiko123 08-10-2010 05:20 AM

'Girl... Girl... Me!?' She looked down at the girl who said hello to her and lowered herself to a sitting position as she slightly blushed. "Uh... Hi... You can see me?" She thought no one could. No one was ever able to see her and at times she was almost right in front of their eyes if she was brave enough to get that close. There must be something about this girl that makes her able to see her, but she wasn't sure what it could be yet.

EMoMoChan 08-10-2010 05:26 AM

Ally laughed at the girl. "Of course I can see you, silly. Your right there." She smiled, pointing at her as she sat down next to her. "My name is Ally. I just moved here a few days ago. What's your name? And do you live anywhere close by?" She asked.

Sakiko123 08-10-2010 05:40 AM

'She doesn't know? She can't tell?' Tauna was puzzled. She wasn't human and yet this girl...
Maybe she looked normal without the transparent effect... Either way ,she was seen by this girl and no one else. She was somewhat happy to be noticed but also shy at the same time. "Um... Tauna... My name's Tauna." She thought about the second question and tried to recall anything she'd seen in the forest. "Um... There's a cabin deep in the forest. I'm living there for a while..." She was really living in her old house in the attic.

EMoMoChan 08-10-2010 05:44 AM

"Oh really?" She smiled, thinking over the name for awhile. "Tauna. Tauna. Tauna." She looked her over for a few moments and nodded in approval. "Yepp. Your definitely a Tauna. It suites you." She smiled. Then she looked into the forest. "A cabin, eh?" She grinned. "Cool! I'll have to come visit sometime." She decided it'd be best to stand up now, so that she didn't look like such a sissy in front of her new friend. She bit her bottom lip as she applied pressure on her big toe. "W-Would you like to come in for something to drink?" She asked.

Sakiko123 08-10-2010 05:51 AM

Tauna got worried as she watched the girl stand up. She really wanted to help her back to the house while helping her walk, but her hands, or any other part of her, would go right through her if she tried. She was also hesitant as she was offered a drink. She could drink, but that would probably go right through her, too. It would look bad, too. She didn't know what to say, though... And she didn't want to tell her the truth... "Um. Uh... I'll come for a visit... But, I don't really feel thirsty right now. Thanks anyway."

EMoMoChan 08-10-2010 05:55 AM

Ally nodded, and started walking up the small hill to the back patio of her house. "Okay, well I'll show you my bedroom, and we can just hang out for awhile than." She smiled. "I don't really know what kids do for fun around here, but I'll try." She promised, nodding with iron will in her eyes. She opened the door for Tauna and then walked in herself. "Our furniture is a bit outdated since we bought the house and the furniture with it, but I suppose it looks kinda cool since its all so antique-looking." She smiled, leading them both to the kitchen. "I'm kind of thirsty, if you don't mind me drinking in front of you." She smiled embarrassed.

Sakiko123 08-10-2010 06:08 AM

She was curious about this bedroom that was being spoken of... There were two in the house when she lived there. One was split in half with a curtain to seem like three, though. That was near the turn of the previous century. The early-mid 1900s anyway. Then there was the attic which was used as a guest room for runaway slaves during the 'underground railway' times...
"I live in a house that has old furniture in it, too. I'm just living in the cabin for a few months." She didn't say it, but she was roughly the same age as Ally. Maybe she just looked young for her age. She was a bit too thin... And small... "I don't mind if you drink near me. There's actually a well near the cabin with fresh water in it. I drank from that earlier in the day."

EMoMoChan 08-11-2010 12:48 AM

Ally smiled at her, sighing as she finished off her glass of water. "Oh, okay. Yeah, it seems not many houses are like this, but I kind of like it." She giggled. When she was told why Tauna wasn't thirsty, she sighed in relief. "Oh, good. I didn't want to come off as rude or anything." She grinned. "Now to my room" She smiled. "Its really weird. There are two bedroom here, and one was renovated before we moved in. But neither of them are used as my bedroom. My mother said I could chose whatever I wanted, and something about our attic was so... interesting." She smiled, pulling at the rope that pulled down the stairs to the attic. "I think I did a pretty good job. But you tell me." She smiled, leading her up into her room.

The walls had been painted white and there were only three main items of furniture. Her small bed, covered in tons of pink frilly pillows. Her dresser, that had also come with the house and was soon to be painted pink. And a vanity chest with a large mirror hanging over it, and it had also come with the house.

Sakiko123 08-11-2010 01:15 AM

"It's no problem. Not many people know of the well around here." Tauna followed the girl where ever they went till they reached the attic's entrance. The door to it was visible now... Wasn't before... She stepped inside and looked around. It didn't at all look the same as she remembered it either. The walls were brighter and the windows had been replaced. Where as before it had been unpainted when she lived there. Later on, around the 40s and long since she'd become deceased, the walls and windows had been painted black to avoid bombing.
The attic wasn't her bedroom as that had been downstairs, but it would have be the room she'd often play in when she was younger and living. It was her favourite room of the whole house. She rarely went into her own bedroom except for sleeping.
"This is an interesting room. Do you play in here often? Or is this just a bedroom to you?"

EMoMoChan 08-11-2010 01:22 AM

Ally shyly smiled. "Well... I have tons of dolls, and I love playing with these marbles I found under this floorboard. She smiled, moving over to the end of her bed and pulling up one of the floor boards with a creepy creeeeaaak. She then pulled out a small paper bag and tipped it over, letting about ten marbles spill out over the floor. "Wanna play?" She asked.

Sakiko123 08-11-2010 01:31 AM

Tauna looked closely at the dolls before covering her ears as she heard the high-pitched creak. She turned around to see a paper bag. "Marbles?"
She didn't know what marbles were or how they got under the floorboards. They must have belonged to someone a long time ago. "What are marbles?" She'd heard the expression 'lose your marbles' before, but didn't know they actually existed. "Did you find them?" She was referring to the saying. She saw small, round, multi-coloured balls fall out of the bag and roll everywhere then. She was curious, but knew she couldn't play. "How do you play with them?"

EMoMoChan 08-11-2010 02:16 AM

Ally grinned at her. "Oh, its fun." She said, surprised that she didn't know what marbles where. When she was asked if she found them, she gave her a look of confusion, but chose to ignore the question, assuming she had meant something else. She gathered the marbles into a pile in front of her, making sure they wouldn't move. When she was sure they weren't going anywhere, she reached across her and grabbed a piece of chalk out of a small container she had lying around. On the wooden floorboards, she drew one large circle, and more circles inside of it, each one smaller than the other. "The point of the game is to get the least amount of points. You get more points when your marble rolls into a large circle, so you want to land in the small ones. The person with the least points when we run out of marbles is the winner of the game." She smiled broadly, pushing 6 marbles in front of Tauna, and taking 6 for herself. "Watch, I'll go first." She said, taking a red marble and rolling it across the floor. When it landed in the third smallest circle, she smiled. "See? Thats three points for me. Your turn."

Sakiko123 08-11-2010 02:26 AM

"Uh... Okay..." She had to figure out how she was going to do this without having suspicions rise. So she used her index finger and kind of flicked the air around the marble in front of her to get it into the circle using her fingernail. She knew she didn't do it properly and would hurt, but it worked enough to move the marble across the floor. It landed almost right below Ally's in the same circle. "That's three points for me I think..." Could have been a foul shot from the improper shooting method, though. She didn't know.

EMoMoChan 08-11-2010 02:32 AM

Ally noticed her strange method, but shrugged it off as her own way of doing things. She smiled. "Alright than. My turn." She grinned, using a bit of her skill. She rolled her next marble which happened to be purple, and smiled, flicking it into the cirle, and knocking hers back at her, taking her marble's place next to hers. "Ha!" She smiled broadly. "I don't know what that's called in the game, but it shouldn't change your score or anything." She laughed.

"Ally, is that you!?" A voice yelled up at her from inside the house.

"Oh, that's my mom, Tauna. Want to meet her?" She asked, smiling.
